This is my comic studio, so, instead of having separate threads for all my comics, they all get to be posted here!
I currently have three comics, one of which hasn't been updated in, like, forever. Sorry. Check it out anyway!
The other two are updated more frequently, but I have lots of RL stuff going on, so I might forget to update
sometimes. The Stars In Your Paws is my current project (and if you picked one to read, I would recommend it,
lots of fun plot twists) but don't count out The Queen of the Dawn which is going to celebrate its three-year
anniversary in a few months and is completed. It was also on the old forums, if you saw the old version there!
Comments and Criticism
I'm always looking for ways I can improve my art! Constructive criticism is awesome. And everyone's comments are always appreciated!
Art Programs & Stuff
I use a program called FireAlpaca. I used to use a site called QueekyPaint, but it's so much easier to do everything now, and it's free! My page size is 900x1600 with mostly a 4px brush for outlines. If anyone wants a speedpaint, just ask! I'll also take any requests for art and do them for free. Anything to help with procrastination!
Characters
QotD (completed):
Dawnrise: (our main character) a fluffy, peach-colored she-cat. Also in the first pages she
has white spots but I got lazy after pg 15 so she doesn't anymore.
Firekit: Dawnrise's only son, kinda fluffy and orange.
Gingerkit: Fluffy, slightly lighter-orange than Firekit. Dawnrise's daughter.
Sunkit: (maybe her name but honestly I forgot.) Dawnrise's other daughter, same color and, again, fluffy.
Cloudstar: I got his pattern wrong because in my mind I had this image of him and he's grey. GREY.
Mistwing: Dawnrise's sister! Fluffy and blue and beautiful.
Whitepaw: (Windpaw in the old comic) (Or in this one IDK anymore) White. Obviously.
Adderclaw: Black Starclan cat
Hawkstripe: (originally named Hawktalon before I realized... Hawktalon does comics.) White with
brown stripes. Also from Starclan.
... I think that's it?
QotS (to be started at an undetermined date):
Mistwing: Fluffy and blue with wing-shaped patterns on her back.
No others have been introduced.

The Stars in Your Paws:
Lynx: Fluffy bobtail cat with grey fur and spots
Pine: Lynx's brown siamese brother. He thinks he's cool.
Crow: Pine's new best friend. He's was a bully, but we're cool with him now. He's dark
grey with white speckles.
Raven: Blue-grey with darker stripes, one of the seers/sages I forget what they're called.
Breeze: Fan-made character (credit to zeph! ) White with golden stripes.
Vireo: For a while he didn't have a name, because I couldn't find one cool enough. He's
Raven's brother, and they look almost exactly the same except for his orange eyes.
Marigold: Briefly seen -- she's Pine's mentor. She's orange with paler spots and one spot
shaped like a chicken near her shoulder. Bet you didn't notice, I did it on purpose.
Echo: Brown, white, and pinkish-colored she-cat. She's the head sage.
There's lots more characters, I just don't feel like adding them all.

 A compilation of the worst fails -- as cats. These are so old. FORKS (part 1) First How to Fail at Warriors! Hopefully now I'll get them up faster. Also an explanation of Lilacwhisker's unconventional way of eating stuff. Ghosts I don't know what got into me, but the next page is also a result. Exasperamated Me and Kestrelpaw, out designs are based off of Padme. She's the cutest little furball. And They Were all Like I don't know this person, but this was funny. DNA![]() ![]()  This is my favorite science teacher. We're doing a biology unit, so there's definitely more to come! Welcome We were figuring out all of the differences in the virus' genetic code vs. a normal genetic code. It was actually pretty fun. Chapstick She says this yet we're in an advanced math class. And english. Corrupt ACT She was really upset about it. She then signed us up for the other 8 practice ACTs, hoping that one of them would have stuff we didn't know on it so she could "see which ones of us panic" Zoom Zoom Zoom This guy has been absent for almost the past three weeks. It's weird. He was finally here last tuesday though. Not here this week for that reason ^^^ Ethel It was funny at the time. Gum  The sad part is some people actually bought and ate it. Doughnuts  They had more customers after this... Government assigned everything  This joke ran for like three months in robotics. [/spoiler] |

Cover  So the title is a play on words. This was started forever ago and doesn't really have a plot, except for the Starclan cats, but I forgot what they were doing so they're just there. It was finished awhile ago, because it never really went anywhere, and was going to have a lot more traveling scenes and stuff but I cut it out because it had no purpose and came to the same ending anyway. Prologue
Page 1  To clarify - read the top three frames, then the one on the left, then the other three top to bottom. I wrote it, and then I just read it the wrong way. Page 2  Why do they have trust issues? I'm writing a one-shot about it. Also, this was the last page of the prologue, so now the real story can start!
Page 3  Only three pages in and there's already a spelling error. Well, here's the start of the comic! I'll get the next page up faster. Page 4  Page 5  There's Cloudstar! I added shadows and generally spruced up the page. Looks nicer than the last ones! Page 6  *GASP* No! Cloudstar, why?! And hold up for a second, Dawnrise and Mistwing are sisters?! Plot twist! Also, in the original fanfic, Windpaw died in the battle. Those cats in the 4th panel are just random ones, but Kestrelpaw actually thought they were Dawnrise's kits. . . PAGE 7  I messed with the text boxes and decided I hated them. Look at them. They're terrible. Anyway, a long awaited page! Finally!
PAGE 8  I tried a new style and it is BEAUTIFUL. I also reverted back to my old text boxes, even though the other ones were easier to make. I really like this page though. It makes me want to redo my other ones. Page 9  Slightly bigger page and more drama, but I'm loving this style more and more... Page 10  I did weird stuff with the tree... Not doing that again. The page wouldn't let me make it any bigger either, but I may or may not be doing a fight in the coming pages Page 11  FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT! We're getting into some drama! Page 12  Introducing Birchstar, leader of Riverclan at the time! I've been trying to keep it as accurate as possible. But Cloudstar, no! What will Dawnrise choose, her kits, or her clan? Page 13  We got our fight scene! Whoa, Cloudstar. That was uncalled for. In all honesty, he's a good cat at heart, he is just under a lot of stress with being leader and all and is acting harshly. But I love those bushes Page 14  The fate of my comic universe rests on your shoulders, Dawnrise. No pressure. Page 15  My watermark is terrible. I need a new one. And we have our Starclan cats back! Don't worry, Hawkstripe has a plan. it's been so long since I made that page that I had to look for their names... Do you guys remember them? Page 16  Hawkstripe is from a different clan than these ones. Hawkstripe's son lives very far away and doesn't believe in Starclan. He'll turn up later.
Page 17  The long-awaited page seventeen! Page 18  Sorry it's a little late! Page 19 
Page 20  This has not been updated in a while, so here you go! Page 21  Oh no! They're captured! Page 22  The end! Somewhat anticlimactic. |

Chapter 1
Page 1  I've done so much research for just this page alone, it's not even funny. The symbols are found on clay pieces in romania, and the runes (kind of hidden in yellow under the text box) are anglo-saxon futhark, like the ones in How to Train Your Dragon. But look! Tribe history. Page 2  Awww, so cute! We have our protagonist, which is what it says in the runes on the cave wall behind her. I'm having too much fun with those. Page 3  I have a game. Whoever can spot the hidden smiley face first (and posts about it) gets to design a character in this comic.  Also, the reason mentors are never mentioned is because they don't have any! All the hunters in the tribe help to train the next hunters, guards train the next guards, etc, etc, and because they are a peaceful clan and don't go into battle, there's not an age limit for becoming an apprentice. It's just whenever the leader thinks they're ready. Page 4  Credit for Breeze goes to Bubblingtsunami, who won the game mentioned in page 3's comments. Also, I let my sister (Kestrel) drew some of the pictures on the wall in that last panel and... Is that a green cereal bowl? Page 5  Breeze looks weird in this page. Oh well. I'll be getting pages up sooner now! Page 6  Oooh, story time. Page 7  Their father looks familiar... Breeze and Raven are best friends or is it more than that, so you've only seen them so far, but we'll get to meet the rest of the tribe soon! Page 8  We meet Lynx's Brother! (again, but now he's older) The hunters save feathers from the birds they catch as trophies. Most put them in their nests, but he likes to wear them. Page 9  That's one of Pine's mentors. She'll also be in the next few pages. This ends the chapter, too! Page 10  Page 11  Who is talking? Take a guess! Sorry it took so long to get this done, life's been crazy! Page 12  And we officially meet the villain of the comic! Page 13!  Sorry this page took so long! Page 14  Uncovering more backstory! Page 15  He'll be back. And what's this? Pretty new backgrounds! Also a new mean character. His name's Crow. Also I tried new text boxes. They're a lot easier, and I think I like them better. Page 16  In case it wasn't clear, Pine's eyes started glowing and he used telepathic abilities to insult Crow. He doesn't know that he did. Page 17  Act natural! *immediately adopt suspicious-looking pose* Also Crow knows Pine's projecting his thoughts, because, hey, Pine's projecting his thoughts. And thinking about it. Page 18  We get to see the whole tribe! The top two are leaders, identifiable by their eye markings. In that bottom right corner are Lynx's and Pine's parents. The sages are grouped around Raven on the left, and the hunters are on the right. The healers are scattered around. Lynx's father is a healer. Also, in the last panel, is Echo, head sage! She has cool dye markings reminiscent of the Valkyrie from the newest Thor movie (which I've watched four times, and it never gets old). But why did Raven's brother leave behind the stone? Page 19  We almost got a name! But Lynx is right. Why is Echo trying to tell her the truth after hiding it all these years? Page 20  I just realized I was so excited to get this done I forgot to do shadows. Page 21  Whoa! That's supposed to be an explosion in the last panel, by the way. I wish I could draw fire better. Page 22  New character! Meet Osprey, who is inspired by a brown bengal cat I saw in a store in a little town near where I live. He's a healer like Lynx's father, Falcon, and they were good friends growing up. I love his design. We should have added him onto the favorite designs poll. But Lynx did not die, just got a bit burnt! Page 23  Osprey makes jokes but says them really seriously, so you might not tell they're jokes. I was in need of a funny character after Kestrel said my comics were too serious. But Lynx might get exiled?! And what's this with a portal? All will be explained hopefullyPage 24  Meet Obsidian, created by ᴄᴏɴɪ﹣ғᴇʀᴏᴜs ! And... nine other cats. If you don't get what Lynx is talking about, refer to page 19 when Echo was explaining what the stone is. Lynx has too many questions. I'm sure you all have too many questions. Poor Lynx, completely forgetting what happened. Page 25  The fact that Lynx's parents would rather abandon her than live with a daughter who has powers says a lot about what the tribe thinks about cats with powers. I mean, Lynx was exiled because she made a portal to the spirit realm and doesn't even remember what happened. Page 26  Panels 5-8 is a flashback to what happened in the portal, in case it isn't clear. Also, Pine told her he had powers! Telepathically, of course, which made it all the more cooler. But will he go with her? Page 27 
Page 28  Pretty backgrounds! My favorites are panel one and three. Page 29  This is the clan territory! Looks like we're about to meet them. There are three: Garnetclan, whose camp we see in the field, Jadeclan, who get the upper right under the mountains, and Amberclan, who have the left. Page 30  Gosh, Lynx, haven't you seen any horror movies? Never yell out "show yourself!" These trees are fun to draw, though famous last wordsPage 31  I can draw fire! This page looks so cool. Page 32  They look better without mustaches. Page 33  Evil villain monologues are the best. Page 34  Page 35  A cat with wings! Now we've seen everything. Page 36  Kestrel did the shading Page 37  Simple backgrounds because I am so done with this page. But look, it's the camp! And some background characters hiding in there, too! Page 38  Meet Creekstar, everyone! He's awesome, and also the leader of Jadeclan. We'll be seeing lots of him. Page 39  Page 40  Starting the page schedule off well! And this ends the chapter! Page 41  New style! More realistic and detailed. And SO pretty. I love it. Page 42  This page is really late. But here it is! Lynx is so cute! Page 43  Yes, medicine cats are able to have kits here as long as it doesn't interfere with duties, because they deserve families. On another note, now I can draw cats from behind that actually look good! And this whole page was drawn without looking at references. Page 44  It's finally here! Also, The apprentice in the middle is Petalcloud's kit, Silverpaw. Page 45  |

 Here's an example -- I'm considering the comic being black and white, but I'm not sure. I can make the paper look less white and the lines darker. Let me know what you guys think! |

And other news -- I think I fixed the glitchiness of the page. Did it take forever for everything to scroll of other people too?
