"Yes! I saw a strange dark gray...well...maybe he was black, tom. He was hiding in some trees, attacked me and asked about Dustclaw. He's gone and I we need to bring him to Honeystar." Ivorypaw explained rapidly, her tail tip flicking.

Ivorypaw nodded at her suggestion, "A patrol sounds good." She agreed, casting a worried glance at the direction she had run from.

"Alright, I'll come. I'd probably have to explain it to Stormgaze anyways." Ivorypaw responded following her friend before breaking out into a run. Her shoulders still stung but she ignored the pulsing pain each time she stretched out into a bound.

Ivorypaw nodded, too busy running to properly respond. The cream tabby slid to a halt at the camp entrance and burst through. "Intruder! In territory!" She managed to get out, trying to catch her breath.

Shadowleap padded into camp after going to the lake to get a drink of water. His sturdy paws hit the ground with ease, showing no sign that he was in a hurry. A few leaves clung to his hind legs, As he didn't want to stop mid- walk to brush them off with his nose. He made his way to the warriors den, and instead of going inside decided to rest by a patch of sun near it. He kept his ears alert though, ready to up and about if he were to be called on a patrol. A purr slid in his throat as his body nestled on the warm ground. He brushed the leaves off of his pelt, and was shaken by a sneeze from the pollen that had found it's way onto his pelt as well. New-Leaf was a great season for prey and new beginnings, but never for a cat's nose. He straightened up a bit, and kept his eyes on the camp before him.
Jaypaw looked up at the tree before her. After her mentor had taught her tree-climbing recently, she was itching to find the tallest tree in camp, and climb as far as she could. Her long legs helped her with it a lot, and she wanted to look out from camp at the highest viewpoint. She had abandoned her brother and their game of catching the moss ball, so she could climb her tree. Jaypaw leaped, grabbing the bark with extended claws and digging them into the wood, slowly she made her way up to the first branch. Her claws dug into the tree, and the wood gave off little cracks and hisses. She decided to skip the first branch, and instead stopped to rest at the second, about 8 feet up. Looking down and seeing how far she had gotten, then looking up to see how much she had to go, she wondered if this was a good idea or not.
Cloudpaw was still enjoying playing with the moss ball. Being such an energetic apprentice, and with nothing to do, he needed to take his energy out on something. Ball of moss it is. Though even the moss was starting to loose it's fun. Cloudpaw batted it around, catching it with his tail, but his moves became slower and slower till they stopped all together. He sighed, and looked around camp to see if there were any other apprentices he could talk to or play with.

Cloudpaw sprang up at Ivorypaw's voice and turned his head to to where she was. He bounded over to her, ready to say something but quickly realized how frightened he was. Looking over, he saw Jaypaw quickly jumping from her spot on the tree and running over as well.
Shadowleap eyed the apprentice at the camp entrance before getting up and running over as well. He was quick to add to what Stormgaze was asking. "Where did you see the intruder? Do you know if he's coming here now?" he asked.
(wow I spent so long on those intros i missed the intruder thing, probably should have read back a few pages)

"Well...he was either a very dark gray or black with stripes..." Ivorypaw scrunched up her nose, trying to recall anymore details. White chest...light blue eyes.." Sh turned to Shadowleap and shook her head, "He's not coming..he wanted to run off. I saw him near Fernley Fields.."

"Thank you for coming and reporting this, instead of going to him yourself," Shadowleap gave a soft smile to the apprentice, he turned to Stormgaze. "Do you think it's Blackbird? Should we go after him?"

Ivorypaw dipped her head respectfully to the warrior and sat down, lapping at the cuts in one of her shoulders.

Jaypaw padded over to Ivorypaw and rested her tail on her back. "You should get those checked out by Leafsong or Maplepaw, you wouldn't want those wounds to get infected or anything," she advised. "I can take you to her, if you'd like," she gave off a light smile, hoping to ease any fear Ivorypaw had left on her, if she had any left.
Cloudpaw felt slightly awkward now, not really knowing what to do. He was never very good with tough situations like these, so he stood by Shadowleap, hoping that if they do end up going after the intruder, he could possibly get to join.

"I never trusted that furball, even before the incident. Something about him always seemed a bit off to me," Shadowleap noted, his claws extending to dig into the ground, a frustrated glint in his eyes. He was itching to go after him, but he wouldn't go without his leader or deputy's approval.
(that's alright, understood.)

Ivorypaw smiled at Jaypaw's kind offer, but shook her head determinedly. "I've got to help locate Blackbird...I'll get them checked after we find him." She promised gently. As a kit, she could vaguely recall her mother, Smoketail telling her a nursery story about the cat who took a life from Honeystar. She shivered at the memory, both at the mention of the cat who could've killed her and at her..mother..

"Alright then, but I want to help too," Jaypaw looked out to where Fernley fields was. She had heard his name, once or twice, and she had heard that he took one of Honeystar's lives. She felt a little nervous, imagining taking him on if she encountered him, and hoped she would never have to see him alone. Even with other warriors around though, she didn't know if she wanted to ever meet him. But she needed to be brave, she was training to be a warrior.
