Ivorypaw padded out from the camp entrance with a dark gray squirrel firmly held in her jaws. She eagerly leapt across the nearby stream and deposited her prey on the fresh kill pile. She glanced around camp for something to do until her mentor got back. Tilting her head slightly, she walked slowly away from the prey heap and continued to scan the camp. She knew Applepaw and Silverpaw would probably be cleaning the elder's moss due to their punishment...so she couldn't do that. Talk to kits? Clean out the nursery? Sort herbs in the medicine cat den?

Ivorypaw turned her head at the call and flicked her tail in acknowledgment. "Hey, Maplepaw!" The tabby apprentice returned the greeting, trotting over to greet the calico apprentice. She sat down besides her and twitched an ear. "Are you alright? You seemed kind of..off last time I saw you." She meowed uncertainly, not sure if Maplepaw will warm up to her.

"Oh! It's fine, I don't mind. But if something's wrong, you can always address it with Leafsong and your friends." Ivorypaw gazed at the young she-cat for a second before smiling in what she hoped was a reassuring way.

"Not weird at all." Ivorypaw stated, brushing her tail over her paws. "I mean...medicine cats are cats too and they feel the same emotions any warrior feels. Including love, which they aren't allowed to express. I understand why it's apart of the code..but it's kind of unfair." She then flattened her ears in embarrassment, "Sorry...I know being the next medicine cat of FernClan must mean a lot to you. Including its code."

Ivorypaw tilted her head and perked her ears, "What would you want to talk about?" She meowed questioningly, then her tail shot up off her paws, "Wait...are you getting your full name too? When...the older warrior apprentices head off to the Withering Ivy Rock?"

Ivorypaw thought for a second, "I don't really know...my ceremony is a long way from now. I think Honeystar will end up choosing the best name that fits me. But I love the name, Maplerose! That's so pretty...." The cream-furred she-cat leaned down to lick her chest fur while keeping one eye trained on the medicine cat apprentice.

(I've only seen Leafsong on here once, back on the first or second page! Oh my gosh...has she role-played since then?)

Ivorypaw nodded in agreement, "Roses are so unique looking. I love the deep colors. I think they'd reflect you well, Maplepaw. Maybe you could ask Leafsong about it."

"I like Snowkit even if the kit mostly likely won't have a white pelt.", Heatherstripe purred trying to encourage that name for a she-cat.

gonna pop in with Kestrelpaw!) Kestrelpaw saw his friend with Maplepaw. Rolling his eyes, he decided to go over there and make Maplepaw regret being a medicine cat apprentice. Licking Ivorypaw's cheek, he purred,"Good morning Ivorypaw and Maplepaw." He sounded quiet when he said the calico cat's name.

Ivorypaw nodded to Maplepaw's comment before blinking in surprise at Kestrelpaw's affection. t "Morning, Kestrelpaw!" She responded warmly.

"Hello, so after you talk to Maplepaw wanna tell me what you were going to say important yesterday?", He asked sitting against Ivorypaw. Kestrelpaw's whiskers twitched and his tail brushed the ground.

I am thinking that best song for Kestrelpaw for Ivorypaw is Death of a bachelor by Panic! At the Disco lol) "Oh okay, let's take a walk after so we can talk.",Kestrelpaw purred to the she-cat trying to twine tails with her.
