"Well.. I think becoming a medicine cat apprentice is the best decision I ever made. I don't know if I will ever become a warrior again.. It was just so.. it just wasn't my thing." The apprentice sighed, walking besides Kestrelpaw. Kestrelpaw frowned at the thought that they couldn't love each other sadly, but an idea sprang in his head. He was going to try to persuade her to train as an apprentice again."Well, I am going to be alone with no cat by my side. No friends to train with and to be with. Well you can be a medicine cat apprentice, but what if we do fall in love? We can't become mates and have kits of our own and raise a family.", Kestrelpaw mewed hoping this would work. |

Ever since I became a medicine cat apprentice, I tried to stay away from you so I would forget my crush on you.." The calico cat sighed, sadness glowing in her double colored eyes. "I'm sorry. I can't be with you." Maplepaw was still an apprentice, and an immature one. However, she knew that medicine cat duties were serious, and that being Kestrelpaw's future mate would be against the warrior code. Kestrelpaw frowned and said,"Is that so? Well, please, you can keep a secret can you? We can meet each other each night and we'll talk. First can you keep a secret or you can't?" Kestrelpaw brushed against her pelt. |

The apprentice joked, "And why do we need to secretly meet up? We can just talk in camp.." Kestrelpaw mewed,"Don't you think they would see a connection between us and then they will think something strange is happening." He pressed against her pelt once more. |

I don't want to stop our relationship just because your a medicine cat apprentice.", He said with such emotion. "Meet me near the Crystal Lake okay?", He continued. |

Maplepaw spoke with a stern tone, "Like I said earlier, I'll only go because I don't want my reputation in the clan to be ruined because of you.. I still want to be friends, but nothing more than that, okay Kestrelpaw?" Kestrelpaw frowned again and his ears dropped along with his tail. Tears fell out his eyes, he tried touching up, but he couldn't. Kestrelpaw mewed,"We've known each other since kits and we have developed together,but you became a medicine cat apprentice. Please become an apprentice again, so we can be happy. Happy togeether." |

Maplepaw looked away, not wanting to see her friend so hurt. "I.. I'm sorry Kestrelpaw. I can't become a normal apprentice again. I don't want to.. Did you not see how horrible I was at fighting and hunting?" The medicine cat apprentice sighed, ears flattening and sadness flaming in her eyes. Kestrelpaw was sad and yet anger flared inside him, but he knew that he couldn't love Maplepaw any longer. He had to be with another she-cat. "It is okay, but since we can't love each other, then that means I can't be with you and I have to be with another she-cat. ", He said full of anger. He stormed of hoping to find another she-cat to be with. |
