Stormgaze did the same, leaning against Heatherstripe. The only thing he could hear was the sound of water slowly moving and Heatherstripe breathing slowly. The silent moment only lasted a few moments, Kestrelpaw had surprised him and his fur stood up. Stormgaze was embarrassed and his face was red. "Uh.." Sharpwind smiled, "They are going to be mates, I can tell." The light gray and black cat purred, "Isn't it lovely? Why'd you have to ruin the moment?" Heatherstripe blushed and reacted how Stormgaze was," Um, well we fell asleep together." She tried making an excuse to cover up their love for each other. Kestrelpaw's fur rose up and hissed at Sharpwind," We were hunting they weren't! We were doing work and they didn't!" Mates are useless,Kestrelpaw told himself though he loved Maplepaw, but they couldn't be together. |

Stormgaze sighed, "Well.. Heatherstripe caught a huge fish, and I caught a decent sized one." The tom pushed the fish closer to the angry apprentice, "We're sorry we slacked off." It was strange for Stormgaze to be apologizing to an apprentice, but he was very happy because of Heatherstripe. Sharpwind meowed, "Aww.. Don't be too hard on them! They looked cute together didn't they?" The light gray cat was never angry with his clanmates. Heatherstripe blushed and said in agreement," Yes I am sorry Kestrelpaw." Kesrelpaw snapped at Sharpwind," Who cares! They aren't cute when they don't do work!" His fur bristled more showing his sharp teeth. |

Stormgaze licked Heatherstripe's cheek before getting back up. "Let's just go back to camp now.." He sounded upset that Kestrelpaw had ruined the nice moment, but he tried his best to hide it. "That's not very nice to say, Kestrelpaw." Sharpwind sighed, "Let's just go now, okay?" He picked up his squirrel and mouse in his jaws, beginning to walk back towards camp. Heatherstripe twined tails with ready to head camp with their fish they caught. She told him that they should go to HoneyStar's den right when they go to camp. Kestrelpaw hissed at Sharpwind and stopped overeacting. Instead he grunted with his mouse he caught in his mouth. |

Dust from the ground blew into Applepaw's face and, even grumpier than before, he got up and padded over to the apprentice's den, and lay down in his nest.

Silverpaw saw Applepaw get into his nest. He seems mad she thought, closing her eyes again. Like she expected, she couldn't sleep, so instead decided to wait outside the apprentice den for her mentor to get the news that she's been punished.

Applepaw, seeing Silverpaw, got up and walked over to her. "Hey...I wanted to say sorry for getting you into this trouble. I really just wanted to go for a little hunt near the camp, but everything went wrong... I don't even know why we went so far into the forest, or why we split up, I don't know what I was thinking then..." he paused a moment, then continued with a sigh. "It's my fault we got punished, I'm sure that if we had kept right next to the camp everything would have been fine, and I could easily have made that happen and prevented you, Ivorypaw and myself from doing anything against the rules..."

"Dude it's cool" Silverpaw tried to persuade the apprentice it was ok. "Just think, we'll be warriors soon, and we'll get to do whatever we want!" Silverpaw nudged Applepaw.

Applepaw blinked in surprise. He hadn't thought that he would get such a nice answer. But he had to agree that becoming a warrior was something that he would look forward to. "I didn't expect you to be so forgiving... but you're right, becoming a warrior is going to be great! And when we do become warriors, I'd like to invite you to go on a hunting patrol with me, this time one we'll totally be allowed to go on and won't get in trouble for." he meowed, cheering up considerably.

"Um...well...my name would make the most sense if it mentioned my one silver eye," Silverpaw meowed winking her right eye to only reveal her left, single, silver eye, "but there aren't a lot of nice names for that...unless it's Silvergaze or Silvereye I guess."

HoneyStar glared at the two and glanced at Maplepaw. "Where did you find them? Are they spies of Blackbird?", she growled to Maplepaw. She was getting ready to unsheathed her claws just in case she heard they were working for the rouge. |
