"Yes Stormgaze.", she purred to Stormgaze excited for lots of young warriors in a few moons. Seeing the lake she check with her dark blue eyes seeing if there was any fish swimming in the lake's clear water.
"Yes, why shouldn't I?", Kestrelpaw yapped to his clanmate, not knowing he was going to be his mentor sooner today. Jumping into the lake before Sharpwind, he didn't know that he soaked Heatherstripe , Sharpwind, and Stormgaze.

"Honeystar....yesterday, Barrowfall and I discovered a strange scent into our territory near a fallen log..it was a little past the Training Field near a river bank." Ivorypaw meowed softly, twitching an ear nervously.

Barrowfall nodded, placing her tail across Ivorypaw's shoulder. "I can confirm. It smelled like some kind of wild animal, definitely not cat though."

Her ears shot up when she heard Ivorypaw. " A strange scent? Please explain how you and Barrowfall found this scent Ivorypaw.", she asked curious about this scent. "Barrowfall please explain too.", replying serious about this. |

Ivorypaw sat down and curled her tail over her paws. "We were trying to track down Silverpaw and Applepaw...I knew the direction they headed because I originally with them in the beginning, but Silverpaw got annoyed with me and stalked off, so I went back to camp, then I told Barrowfall and we left! I found the spot we she left me and I sniffed the log. It just smelled..wrong."

Stormgaze scolded the apprentice, "Kestrelpaw! You're supposed to be hunting, not swimming. You just scared away all of the fish." The gray tom groaned, annoyed at the apprentice's behavior. He examined the water and the fish swimming away from Kestrelpaw. "If you wanted to hunt by swimming in the lake, couldn't you just have gone in by not jumping?" Sharpwind was splashed with water and he stepped back away from Heatherstripe and Stormgaze, and began shaking his pelt. Water drops rained onto the grass and he returned back to the others. He meowed, "Kestrelpaw, I um, I agree with Stormgaze." Sharpwind didn't want to be rude to the apprentice. Kestrelpaw saw a fish swimming past him. He ignored Stormgaze and Sharpwind and he said," I know what I am doing!" Unsheathing his thorny yet sharp claws, he swatted at the fish. Blood filled a part of the river, the fish's blood swarmed Kestrelpaw. Bittiing down on the fish's flesh he yowled," I gwot it!" Jumping out of the river, he dropped the scaly fish on the gound, Kestrelpaw shook his pelt trying to make it warm. |

Silverpaw looked over at Ivorypaw. She was talking to Honeystar at the moment. I wonder what they're saying.

Do you want to go with he patrol to check the log out?", HoneyStar asked making sure they do go, so they can show the patrol where the log is and maybe track down the creature. |

Kestrelpaw saw Stormgaze's expression on his face. He knew he wasn't happy at him splashing him with the water. "That was my first time catching a fish! Aren't you surprised?", he asked the deputy with his chest swelling with pride.

"Don't worry Barrowfall. I will set a patrol tonight to check the log out and maybe track down the creature living in it.", HoneyStar replied to Barrowfall sitting down. She swished her tail side to side on the ground.

Ivorypaw grinned widely "Of course, Honeystar!" She yipped. She glanced around, as if expecting a patrol to come to her at that moment so she could show the way.

"This is a great responsibility you too, so be careful you too. Take Silverpaw and Heatherstripe tonight.", she told Ivorypaw and Barrowfall about the patrol.

"Hm, Honeystar?" the warrior spoke up. "Would it be alright if Ivorypaw and I went with the patrol? We're the ones who know the most about what we're looking for." She looked at the apprentice with a slight grin, giving a nod.

"Thanks..", he grumbled knowning those words were false what Stormgaze had told him. Rolling his eyes, he faced Sharpwind and told him," Lets hunt in he wood parts while they hunt in the river?", Kestrelpaw suggested to the tom.

"Yes yes, but I am telling you to bring those two cats because what if the animal living there was a badger? You are still going to the patrol tough.", HoneyStar said coldly and worried that Barrowfall wanted to take the patrol alone with Ivorypaw.

"I can't wait 'til then!" Ivorypaw pummled the grass with her forepaws, her eyes bright with excitement as she gazed at Barrowfall. "I think it'll be fun with other cats join us!"

"Just rest before the patrol happens and come back soon because I will be doing a clan meeting tonight for the apprentices.", she purred to Ivorypaw knowing that she was very anxious till the patrol since Barrowfall and her will be leading it. "Oh, ya you can get the first fresh-kill tomorrow morning!", she called to the apprentice and the warrior.

Stormgaze felt awkward, he knew his words didn't sound sincere even though they were. He sighed, sitting down and preventing his shadow from landing on the water. The tom eyed a bright orange fish and he quickly hooked it onto his claws, dropping it onto land and giving it a swift bite, killing it quickly. Sharpwind meowed, "Yeah, that's fine. I don't like getting wet." The tom began walking into the woods, sniffing the air as he padded away. "Well that leaves us two, together", she purred to Stormgaze brushing against his pelt. "Lets go Sharpwind.", he grumbled to Sharpwind. Walking together she saw a bird pecking on a seed. |

Barrowfall nodded to her leader. "Of course. Thank you Honeystar, we won't let you down." She started back towards the camp. "Come on Ivorypaw, let's get some rest before the patrol!"
