Adderfang laughed lightly. "That's not the wisest choice," he informed her. "It's better to try and throw your opponent off. I would suggest kicking at their belly with your hind legs, or aiming a smack to the face and then wriggling your way out. I'll demonstrate if you tackle me." the black and white tom hopped off of her and watched from a few feet away, waiting for her next move.

Adderfang paused, noticing his apprentice looked discouraged. "Don't beat yourself up for it. In some situations, your technique could come in handy- like if you were trying to hide from some bigger animal perhaps. Or if you were with a group of cats who'd lost a fight and you wanted your enemy to mistake you for dead." he meowed, giving his pelt a shake. "Let's get back to it." the warrior added, returning to his crouched position.

((Also, if anyone wants to add some rogues villians to the gang, you can post them on the joining page. Just do what Dark did, cause almost all of these chars are going to die or get chased out of the territory.))

Pearseed looked around at Coldfire and Bearcharge with a frown. "Well, what are we waiting around for?" She newer with a playful roll of her eyes before moving past then to leave the camo. Coldfire was supposed to lead but the young cat was getting too antsy waiting to leave. The sooner they finished the border patrol, the sooner she could come back at get back at her annoying brother. Coldfire blinked, watching as Pearseed took the lead, looking rather sheepish at not starting the patrol earlier, following the younger warrior. She didn't have the courage to actually speak up and point out she was the leader, instead allowing her to lead. Pearseed paused for a moment, signaling for Coldfire to wait for a moment and let Bearcharge catch up. "Ready to patrol now that fluffy left?" she teased with a good-natured eye-roll. "Come on, we need to hop to it if we want to make it back before everyone eats all the good fresh-kill." With that, the young warrior broke into a hurriedly trot and rushed past the rest of the patrol. Bearcharge's thick shoulder's shrugged. So not even Cloudchaser's company could liven up the patrol he was stuck with. How was he to entertain himself now? "I'll catch you later then~" With another yawn, the large tom rushed out of camp (well to the best of his lumbering ability) to catch up with the others. When he finally saw them in the near-distance, he breathlessly called out for them to wait. |

Pearseed nodded to the older warrior in acknowledgement before waiting for the tom. Once the party was together again, they continued out of the camp. The patrol was mostly silent as they trekked down the mountain and to the upper edge of the Shrouded Forest. So far everything had seemed peaceful and everyone was at ease.
"Alright, lets remark the scent markers and hurry back to camp." the young warrior mewed with a flick of her tail. As she set about to do it, she didnt notice the soft rustling in the brush or in the trees. She only realized, once a shadow of fur dropped from the branches onto her back, that they were surrounded.
