YES YES YES YES YES
I've wanted this for so long! A Lion King with realistic looking lions? Count me the heck in!
Jungle Book 2016 is one of my favorite movies of all time, and I didn't even like the original Jungle Book. I have super high hopes!
Also, if it is bad then is won't "ruin" the original. That classic will always be there in it's sheer perfection.
I assume they will probably alter the story a little bit as they did with Jungle Book, so they will probably be viewed as different movies quite easily.

I have a bad feeling about this.
And honestly, I just feel like Dinsey is just running out of new and intriguing ideas all together, so now they appear to be resorting to making a whole bunch remakes rather than brainstorming new ideas and developing those ideas. It's rather pathetic in my opinion. Sure, perhaps some movies could use a remake quality wise, but The Lion King? Nope; at least not in my opinion.

I'm still wondering why this is called a "live-action" remake. TLK doesn't even have people in it. At best, it's just going to be a CGI remake. And It's from the same director who did the live-action Jungle Book movie, so considering how amazing the animals looked in that one...
I hope it's the same here. Well, I'll see this regardless of how it looks. c:

I'm eh on it, but I will say that a remake is never the original. Sure it has the name, but you shouldn't think it'll ruin a film for you if they try and do a remake. It's like everyone complaining over FF7 getting a remake. Just play the old game if you don't like the changes they're making..? It's not like having a remake will ruin the old film for you. Especially if you love it.
I personally never really cared for these disney remakes, but I'm intrigued for when they try Pocahontas.. and Mulan.

I have a feeling I'm going to dislike it. It won't hold the same heartwarming (and heartbreaking omg) feeling that the original gave me if the lions look realistic. I think it had that special magic that captivated us because they weren't realistic in the first place. If it is going to be in that style, I'll end up looking at it in a more serious perspective than a more lighter outlook like I did with the original one (despite several scenes that had me bawling my eyes out).
Personally, I think they should focus more on giving certain movies the sequels that we want/need and not worry about movies who do not need remakes.
