Featherspark allowed herself a pause before answering, taking full advantage of the moments of silence in order to focus on the placement of her paws. Indeed, just as Mooncloud had warned, she felt the ground sloping steeply downward, urging her legs ever-more quickly toiward the still-out-of-sight floor of the valley, presumibly nestled somewhere not far ahead. She slowed her pace deliberately, wrenching back control of her momentum from the force of gravity. "Any time that you'd like," she purred, finally allowing her gaze to settle on Mooncloud once again, when she was confident that her lower half could navigate the land without constant supervision. "Like I said, exploration is always twice as enjoyable for me with a clanmate by my side. I haven't been back to the stream in moons," she added thoughtfully, shaking her head. "What with my new role"โshe glanced at her belly as if there might still be kits to be found thereโ"I haven't been able to stray as far from camp. It would be lovely to go back with you." She smiled. "To focus wholly on myself and my happy memories for an afternoon." (Apologies for my delayed post. Internet/power have been swinging back and forth, the past few days. A stormโs just passing through, should hopefully be more active, now. Congrats and best of luck in college!) โFantastic, whenever you are up to it, you know where to find me,โ the black-pelted tom smiled, letting a gentle purr leave his throat. He turned his attention back towards his surroundings, and noticed that the pressure in his limbs was slowly lifting off and he was able to find the ground beneath his feet, again. As the ground leveled out, he found himself walking into an open clearing, and he was treated to a sight he had not seen in quite a while. โMust be starting to lose my touch. Bit earlier than I would have expected,โ he grumbled to himself, slightly disappointed in the fact that he had neglected this enchanting setting for far too long. His eyes danced around the setting, doing his best to take it all in - from the rolling, emerald-hills, that surrounded the valley, to the long and winding river, that gracefully flowed and intertwined with patches of trees, scattered here and there - but found himself, temporarily at lest, overwhelmed by memories and sounds that were very familiar to him. Mooncloud shook his head to rid the sudden onslaught from his mind, and glanced back towards Featherspark with a curious gaze, โWell, this is it.โ

( Jekyll: Soon! As soon as Jadepaw and Mistyfur are done talking, maybe? ๐๐ช๐ป๐ฝ๐ฑ ๐๐ป๐ช๐ถ๐ซ๐ต๐ฎ, does that work for you?) โOh, Iโm all set,โ Jadepaw replied cheerily. A purr rumbling in her throat, she glanced over her shoulder toward Onkรณdis, still situated in the shady spot that they had shared by the remains of their meal. โOnkรณdis and I had something to eat when we got back,โ she explained with a shrug. โI should probably head back over before he thinks that Iโve disappeared.โ Her eyes sparkled. โDo you want to come join us?โ ( spฮฑcั Sorry that I didnโt have time to type up a reply for you (Iโm on my phone), but Iโll get to you ASAP! At the sound of Mooncloud's words, Featherspark raised her head from its position firmly angled toward her paws to examine the environment stretching out before her in every direction. "Wow," she breathed, her gaze sweeping hungrily from the rich, green grass swaying softly in the breeze that swept her fur; to the far-off tips of the trees; and, finally, to the azure sky suspended above it all. "I can't believe that I've never seen this place before," she murmured with a slight shake of her head. "It's incredible. I can only imagine spending time here as a kit of an apprentice, with so much to explore..." Her voice trailed off, and a wistful smile settled itself upon her silver muzzle. "It's an endless adventure. Do you have any particular memories of this place?" She added, finally managing to pull her eyes away from her surroundings for long enough to fix them on Mooncloud. "Anything distinct, or is it just a blur of many days?"

(Jade: Works for me.)
Mistyfur nodded. "Sure, I'll join you two. It would probably be a good idea to talk to him since he was out with you all day while I was... Out," she said, turning to follow Jadepaw once she started moving. She glanced around the clearing again, seeing who else was in camp.

"Anything distinct, or is it just a blur of many days?" (No worries, thatโs perfectly fine. Best of Luck!) The tom dipped his head, pleased with the reaction, before turning his attention beck towards the sparkling river. โI do have memories of here, but they are blurry. I donโt even know if they really, truly, are memories, as opposed to blurs of moments gone bye. I seem to remember certain and specific memories, of certain events or points, but beyond that, it sadly is more of a blur of singular events, than anything else.โ He paused, a slight sigh escaping from his maw, displeased with the fact that he had made such an observation. โBut, it may be all for the best. If all we remember is the beauty of the past, then, I donโt think weโd ever want to move on, rather than just go-back.โ He turned back to the queen and continued, โBut, if thereโs anything I do remember or feel, I do know that I had a lot of joy exploring and wandering around, hereโฆ If you donโt mind me asking, and now may not be the best time to do so, but, do you recall anything distinct about the river we were talking about?โ

(Thanks so much, Space! ^-^) Featherspark's head dipped into a nod at Mooncloud's observations. So much of her pastโeven many bits that seemed so vibrantly familiar upon first recollectionโfaded to a misty haze the moment that she pursued a deeper examination. "Memories of my river?" She echoed mildly, more in an attempt to buy herself time than anything else as she combed through the back corners of her mind for something distinct. Catching onto one, she let out a contented sigh and let her forward motion pauseโall the better to take in her beautiful surroundings a bit more slowly. "I was always good at catching fish on the open banks around most of the territoryโeven in the earliest days of my apprenticeshipโbut the depth and slipperiness of this particular spot always made things a bit trickier for me. The fish there rarely strayed close enough to the shallow strips of rock by the edge of the river for me to snag much of anything. One day, just about a moon or two into my training, I got so frustrated with my failures that I leaped at the next fishโstraight into the deepest part of the river!" She shook her head and laughedโmemories of clear, icy water and the gentle tug of currents bringing a glimmer to her eyes. "It was my first time swimming without any hope of touching my paws to the bottom; it was...exhilerating. I fell in love with it." ( ๐๐ช๐ป๐ฝ๐ฑ ๐๐ป๐ช๐ถ๐ซ๐ต๐ฎ Okay, perfect! Jekyll do you want to have Onkรณdis recommend to Mistyfur that Jade should get her warrior name, and then we can do the ceremony? :3) Jadepaw trotted back over to her spot beside Onkรณdis, her tail swishing cheerfully in her wake. She turned swiftly on her heels and settled into a seated position, angling herself to face both of the older warriors now accompanying her. "I found Mistyfur," she announced with a sly smile,. though the point was fairly self-explanatory.

Mistyfur followed Jadepaw as she led to where Onkรณdis was. She tilted her head slightly as he spoke, and responded "Sure, I have time." She sat down and wrapped her tail around her paws, not entirely sure what it was about or how to act around Onkรณdis as she hadn't interacted with him much.

Onkรณdis twitched a ear and leaned closer, speaking softly so JAdepaw wouldn't hear him. "Jadepaw showed great promise today and she is one of the oldest apprentices. Stagpaw is having his warrior ceremony soon, perhaps Jadepaw should have hers as well?"

Mistyfur nodded as she listened to Onkรณdis. He had a good point, and there certainly wasn't any reason for Mistyfur not to bring it up with Sparrowstar. "I'll talk to Sparrowstar. Ultimately it's her decision, but I agree with you," she responded quietly.

Jadepaw peered anxiously at the pair of warriors beside her, her ears pricked in an unsuccessful attempt to catch a scrap of their conversation. Try as she might, however, she couldn't decipher any details and soon resigned herself to watchingโwide-eyed, attentive, and doing her very best to look like the picture of an obedient apprentice.

He remained silent, gaging the small patch of land, with the thought, and perhaps even a hope, that a memory would come to him. When he realized that nothing did, he shook his head writing it off to wishful thinking, and turned back towards the she-cat. โSpeaking of rivers, perhaps youโd like to give this one a shot? At the sound of her name spoken a bit louder this time, Jadepaw leaned over to involve herself in the conversation once again. "So..." She purred eagerly, offering her sweetest smile to the pair of warriors. Though she didn't expect in the least that the cause of the conversation was to be the potential of her recieving her warrior name, she hadn't put aside hope for praise or maybe even a nice reward for her hard morning's work. "What's going on?"

An amused smile crept across Featherspark's face as she leveled her gaze at Mooncloud. "Oh, now you have to tell me that story," she teased as she strode a few steps closer to the river that she could just make out peeking through the vibrant undergrowth ahead. "And I'm never one to run from cold water," she added with a chuckle and an almost boastful swish of her fringed, silver tail. "All of this fur has to come in handy for something. Starclan knows that it keeps me more-than-cozy every day of the summer. Lead the way, if you will," she added, dipping her head gratefully. Her blue eyes glimmered. "I'm sure that you have a better sense of the terrain along the bank than I do; left to my own devices, I would no-doubt slip right off and end up sputtering in the middle of the currents."

(Thanks for the kind words. It's starting to get better, luckily. Here's hoping that trend continues.)
The tom dipped his head and a light smile appeared on his face, "Of-course. It will certainly come in handy, this water can be quite a bit colder than others I've had the pleasure or misfortune of encountering." He lightly titled his head towards the west direction and started heading that way, to avoid coming in direct contact with what otherwise would be patches of pointed trees and foliage, which even with his thick pelt, managed to sting through just-enough. He added, "We should be there pretty soon, actually, so I'll save the longer-tale for now. The first time we came across this place, he attempted to walk across the river to get to the other bank, but, much to our surprise, he disappeared from the surface, as soon as he hit the parts which separated the bank from the river. It took a bit, but, he eventually resurfaced and swam back to the bank we were on, informing us that the river goes much deeper that it might seem. But, as long as we're aware and prepared of the depth, it shouldn't cause any trouble."

Sparrowstar lifted her head at the sound of Mistyfur's voice, her ears swiveling toward the source of the sound. "Of course!" She purred, pacing a few steps closer to Mistyfur and ushering the warrior more fully into her den with a welcoming sweep of her tail. "What's on your mind?"
Featherspark's blue eyes glittered with contained laughter as she listened to Mooncloud's taleโpicturing a lartge, brawny tom soaked to the skin by the tricks of the river. "Duly noted," she replied, nodding her head diligently as she fell into step half a pace behind Mooncloudโjust enough to allow herself to take direction from the path of his paws without placing too significant of an inhibition on conversation. "Venturing into the deepest waters is my favorite part of swimming, anyway," she added with a small shrug. "I love the feeling of...nothingness under my paws," she admitted. "It's thrilling. I look at the birds soaring through the air so high above us, and being suspended in water is the closest that I think I'll ever come to that feeling. If that makes any sense," she added sheepishly, suddenly ashamed of her imaginative musings.

(Silver: Welcome to Sparrowclan I have a rogue and the medicine cat open if you want to rp with either of them.) Mistyfur took a moment to collect her thoughts as she entered the den. She moved to a bare spot near the middle of the den and settled herself there, sitting down and wrapping her tail around her paws. She took a deep breath before speaking. "I've been watching Jadepaw's progress over the last few moons," Mistyfur fur said slowly. "And she's progressed a lot. She's a good fighter, and her hunting skills have almost caught up. I think..." Mistyfur said, her voice trailing off as she tried to find the right words. "I think that she's ready to become a warrior."

(Darth: Perhaps, sure!)
A small form stumbled out of a bush before a force tugged it back in. The bush was fairly small, but apparently just big enough to hide a young queen inside of it. She pulled her tom-kit back into the nest after he'd tried to wander out. Another tiny form whimpered at her side, a hoarse mewl escaping it that was quickly hushed by the queen's gentle nose pressing against it.
"My poor little Robin.." She whispered, tensing as the kit began coughing again. The distraction allowed her son of the same age to slip out once more.
The brown little kit stumbled away from the bush, innocently oblivious to the danger he could be putting himself in. He trotted freely, scenting the air as he's seen his mother do, but ended up sneezing and shaking his head at the rush of scents he couldn't yet understand properly.

We should, hopefully, be there soon." He decided to remain silent and keep the peace and retain the balance thatโs existed all-day long, as well as re-focus his gaze on the surroundings that they were walking by. The path he trekked to the river was mostly straight and mostly clear of any obstacles, but the scenes were certainly as impressive as-ever. The river continued to sparkle and give off a faint and distant reflection of the mountains and trees that encompassed the valley. The trek was quite short, and much to his surprise, a bit faster than he had originally expected. Once they arrived, he sat down on his haunches and curtly nodded his head towards the river. โHere we are.โ

(Hello! I am back! College is insane (I have a feeling that I'm going to be saying that a lot these days... >.<), so thank you all for your patience!)
Sparrowstar's eyes widened just slightlyโalmost imperceptiblyโat Mistyfur's words. The feeling that began to flutter in her mind couldn't quite be called 'surprise'; if anything, this news was more of a confirmation of a long-held suspicion. "From what I've seen, I'd have to agree," she commented, offering a gracious dip of her head. "You've done excellent work with Jadepaw; you've truly crafted her into a wonderful, young asset to the clan." Rising onto all fours, the spotted leader smiled softly at the nervous mentor opposite her. "Stagpaw's mentor recently reported that his training is coming along nicely, as well, and the pair joined the apprentices' den within a moon of each other. I think a ceremony for the two of them would be exactly what the clan needs this coming evening."
Featherspark felt a smile wind its way across her face as she slowed to a halt beside Mooncloud and took in the unobscured view of the river. Though small at first, it quickly blossom, growing brighter and broader until her whole face was split with the grin. "It's lovely," she purred, allowing herself a few, tentative steps closer to the bank once she determined that they didn't place her in too much danger of toppling off of the edge. Though she longed to dip her paws in the cool, crystalline currents, she held back for the momentโcontent simply to drink them in with her other senses until she had a better sense of how to proceed without walking herself straight into a mess. She tilted her head, a playful gleam coming into her eyes. "Care for a swim?"

Mara grunted as she clarified for the third time that there was no prey to found in the immediate vincinity. She was about to stalk off further from the nearby clan when she noticed a small form exiting a bush. She discarded the idea that it could be prey when the small bundle of fur sneezed, and she took enough time to identify it as a kitten. Mara stood up and padded over to the kit, calling out in a sharp tone, "Where's your mother? A kit shouldn't be wandering off on their own." (Jade: It's fine I might not be in college, but I've heard the stories.) Mistyfur nodded, happy that Sparrowstar agreed with her and had complimented her, but not fully able to agree with the compliments. "I wasn't the only one who taught Jadepaw. She learned more from other warriors than she did from me," she said, bowing her head slightly and shifting her gaze away from Sparrowstar. "But I think you're right, she is a wonderful asset to the clan, and it would be nice to have the ceremony this evening," she finished, pausing to allow Sparrowstar to speak.

The kit startled at the sight of the adult that came towards them. His face scrunched up from the strong scent of unfamiliarity, the smell of a rogue so much different than the soft scents of milk and his family that the kit was used to. His kit-fur fluffed up in what was meant to be an intimidating stance, hissing before turning and scampering off, back towards the den... If he could find it.
Moose had just noticed her son was gone. The queen panicked, hyperventilating as she kept her remaining kit close to her. She feared leaving her sickly kit in case the scent of weakness and distress from Robin attracted any predators that Mooss wouldn't be there to defend her from. But what would happen to her dear Timber? She surely couldn't leave him to die.. "Timber! Timber, please come back!"
