Raven watched quietly, little of her mannerisms showing her reaction to Embertail's insults save for the glitter of ire in her yellow eyes that formed a sharp contrast to the characteristic smirk still teasing her muzzle when she glanced at Glade before training her eyes on Embertail again. "Were you born in your clan?" She cut in, taking advantage of the momentary lull in conversation to jump back into it. It would explain the ignorance. Cruel and vicious, huh! I wonder if he's even met a rogue before! "Did some rogue offend you, or do the clans raise their kits to hate us?"

I wonder if he's even met a rogue before! "Did some rogue offend you, or do the clans raise their kits to hate us?" (haPPY 100 YAY) The question caught Embertail off guard. He wasn't born in the clan, that was not something he cared to admit. "The clan took me in as one of their own." The tom wasn't going to continue that conversation. At her question of a rouge offending him, the tom frowned. Not exactly. "If you lost many of your group to a battle with the clan cats would you raise your kits to love them and just want to coddle them? I don't think you would. The same goes for the clan." This was a weak explanation, he knew, but he was just trying to avoid other possible questions Raven would throw at him.

Raven's yellow eyes narrowed, curiosity itching at the back of her mind; something about Embertail's explanation seemed a bit...hasty. Still, she ignored it, chalking it up to her own over-skepicism or some desire for privacy on Embertail's part—something even she could understand, given that they were strangers. "You had a battle with rogues?" She asked with honest surprise, her tone free of its usual calculated, edged notes; she'd heard rumors of a battle, of course, but she had been minding her own business in a different part of the forest at the time. Realizing her slip-up, she blinked and quickly added, "there's only one clan; rogues don't all live together. We don't all share the same...goals."

"A badger had attacked the patrol deep into our territory. Naturally being the stupid hot head I was, I took it as my chance to prove my worth to the clan." Nightheart replied.

"I thought I had recognized you as one of them.." The tom gave a small smile as he realized he had been incorrect. If she had been, he would never hear the end of that from the clan. At her response he cocked his head, confused. "Goals?" The tom had never really thought of the rouges goals. A clan cat's would just be to serve their clan well and go to Starclan. There wasn't much else they could accomplish. "What goals do you have, exactly?" As an afterthought he added. "And how do they differ from other rouges?"

Raven blinked and glanced at Glade, surprised that he hadn't stopped her from talking yet—not that his protests were particularly likely to be effective, anyway, she reminded herself smugly. Still, this was certainly an...unusual conversation to have, especially with a clan cat. As Embertail paused, the inky she-cat blinked the mist from her expression and smiled icily. "My goals? Just the same as any cat's when it really comes down to it, I think. To survive and prosper, to have enough food and a place to sleep at night free from wandering strangers. Maybe safety, too, if I'm lucky—though that's never guaranteed. In my eyes, it's better not to fuss over the specifics of honor and sacrifice; I'll do what I have to do." Her eyes darkened slightly. "Don't get me wrong—some rogues do want to kill every clan cat they see just out of scorn, but while I'd never turn down a good one-on-one fight when I'm in need of some fun," she let out a huff of laughter. "I'd rather wait to be provoked."

Fleetheart started to calm down after the three other kits eyes opening. Except for Lilykit. Which was not a surprise because she was the runt. Fleetheart was very drowsy and sleepy after a long what day. so she closed her eyes and layed down for a while until something great happened again.( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

"I'd rather wait to be provoked." Embertail noticed Raven constantly looked to Glade for approval. He frowned for a minute, confused. Why did she always do that? Are they mates? Does she need permission from him to speak? Listening to her viewpoint, he understood. The need for survival was something all clan cats fought for. Thats why they were together in the first place! "Fair enough." The tom meowed nonchalantly. Something she had said stuck with him. "These rogues that want to kill us... do they happen to be in your little group?" Embertail's tail twitched impatiently. He snuck a glance at Glade before focusing back on Raven. (@ sand I'm just going to start Wolfpaw hunting on the border) Wolfpaw trotted along the path, trying to find a good place to hunt. He didn't want to go too near camp, as he didn't know if he would get in trouble for going off hunting alone. Taking a moment to scent the air, he realized how close he was to the Emeraldclan border. It was an adventure of sorts, to be this close. It felt.. dangerous, and quite exciting!

Lavenderpaw was sorting her herbs before noticing a shortage of goldenrod. She stood up after a long sigh. Grabbing a mouse as she passed the entrance, she began to trek out in search for her needed material. Her paws led her to where the EmeraldClan scent not longer lingered. In front of her was a long, gray thunderpath. She waited until the road was clear before dashing across. Lavenderpaw parted her jaws, taking in any trail of her desired goldenrod. "Ah!" She said in satisfaction, she had found something in the air. The gray apprentice dashed on, following the scent of the herb. As she got closer she noticed that it was no herb after all. It seemed to be another cat. "H-Hello?" She called at it, claws sheathed.
Glade briefly nodded at Raven when she looked at him. He found ammusing fire in her dialog. The rouge leaned back, now was a good time to cut in. "Yes. Yes in fact they do." He chuckled, setting his icy gaze on the warrior. "Little group?" He echoed, voice low and eyes growing dark. "We have a fairly large group of elite cats trained to tear apart any cat in battle." His mouth slid open to reveal shiny, sharp fangs in the shape of a smirk. "Here's a tip," Glade leaned closer. "I suggest your pitiful clan doesn't take a step on our territory. We won't show mercy." He leaned back with with smile fading. The tom shot a glance to Raven, she would probably have something to say.

The tom licked his chest, embarrassed. "Oh umm hello." I don't recognize her. I wonder where she's fro- Emeraldclan! Is this an invasion? Do I need to run back to camp and alert someone? Do I take her back to camp with me, or would that just help her clan find their way in? "What exactly are you doing on Sparrowclan territory?" Not wanting to frighten her, he sat down and tucked his tail over his paws, adopting a carefree stance. Quickly scenting the air, he realized she in fact was an Emeraldclan apprentice, and his earlier anxieties were brought back. "How interesting!" Embertail meowed, mocking Glade with false excitement. The tom was enjoying this immensely. He could provoke Glade just a bit, and share some banter with Raven. He considered it to be a win-win situation. "Elite cats? What a funny joke! I'm quite sure our 'pitiful clan' could handle it, but I'll pass on the warning thank you very much!" He trilled. This was a bit too much fun, and he didn't think it could turn into a fight, at least, he hoped it wouldn't.

Lavenderpaw tilted her head in confusion. How does he know what clan she'd from? "Uh, SparrowClan?" She shook that off, speami g again after a long pause. "I'm Lavenderpaw by the way. I was just looking for some more Goldenrod." She glanced around aimlessly. "What are you doing?" She returned the question with a slight smile.
Glade growled, rolling his eyes. "You are really enjoying this." Be commented now with a smile. "So," he began, rolling his shoulders to sit more comfortably. He focused his gaze on him. "You got a mate or anything?" He thought asking him some questions would do know harm.

"Sure thing," Batpaw replied, eager to get out of camp. He bounded past Lilacpaw, playfully batting at her tail as he went. "Let's go!" he called over his shoulder, pausing to wait for her at the exit. (Gonna repost my last Batpaw thing~) (reposting again in case Cloud comes on ^^)

"Don't lie to me. It was by far the stupidist thing I've done to date. Still, it did earn their trust, so that was a bonus." Nightheart laughed. Clouddapple let out a meorrw of laughter as she listened to Nightheart's story. She was with the patrol on that fateful day the badger attacked. It was incredibly scary then. She remembered the searing ache in her lungs and legs as she and the rest of the patrol made a mad dash toward the trees at the edge of clan territory as the badger snarled in hot pursuit. Those were good days.

"So are you a medicine cat then? If you're gathering goldenrod I suppose you would be. "Oh me? Um I was hunting! At least for a bit." The tom neglected to mention he caught nothing whatsoever. "Of course I am." Embertail flashed a smile. Glade must have realized how uneasy he was. There's no way he could know about Rosemary... "I do. Well, I did." The tom wasn't going to tell Glade that he hadn't seen his mate for quite some time. A few moons actually. He had no idea where Rosemary would have gone.

Lavenderpaw smiled. "Yeah. Well, Wolfpaw, how is your day so far?" She asked with a grin, sitting down and sweeping her tail over her grey paws. The EmraldClan scent was no longer in the air. Now it was replaced by the perfume of the forest and hills of where they were. "It's a nice day out." She commented, looking at the crystal blue skies with a calm smile.
Glade tilted his head slightly, eyes lighting up with curiosity. "Well, what happened to this significant other?" He questioned before swaying his tail and shrugging. "That's not- We'll come back to that.." He glanced around. "What's living in SparrowClan like?" He asked. Maybe I can trick him into giving me information that I can use against them.

The tom meowed, returning her smile shyly. "I suppose it is! I prefer the rain though." He admitted. Embertail looked at Glade and narrowed his eyes. "Rosemary was not-" He struggled for the word. "Approved of by the clan." That's all the tom was going to say on the subject, Glade had no reason to know. "Living in Sparrrowclan? I suppose it's the same as living with any group of cats. You just hunt and patrol your border and to try and stay alive." Firing back, the tom meowed "What's it like living with a group of rouges?"

Lavenderpaw nodded. "I like the rain too-- just only when it's gentle, it helps water the herbs for me." She smiled at him, hearing the firmiliar and quiet taps of raindrops in her mind. Her gaze broke off as she remembered her original task. "Oh right, the goldenrod!" She turned before looking over her shoulder after a few steps. "You wanna come?" She offered while turning to face him.
Glade raised an eyebrow, unsure of what was happening with his love life. Quite honestly, he didn't care. He listened to the SparrowClan warrior speak and couldn't help but feel disappointed that nothing useful was said. "Living life as a rouge? Well, every morning three or two of us go out and hunt. Then we have to check our territory borders just as you do. We spend the afternoon lounging, cleaning and training. When night falls we basically check our camp a second time and eventually fall asleep." He noticed the different resonances between them. "Tell me your schedule as I did for you.' Of course, Glade left out the part when they plot and spy on the clans.

Raven watched the interaction, her gaze tracing a path from Glade to Embertail and back as each tom spoke. Her yellow eyes flashed when Glade began to recite their schedule, and she shot him a look before she could stop herself. Be careful... However, satisfied that he conversation had shifted without much sensitive information being released, she sat back again, content to watch the drama unfold.

"I could come? I mean yeah sure! Sounds like fun." The tom meowed quickly. As an afterthought he added "Thanks!" And took a few steps to walk beside her. "Where do you gather it?" Embertail looked at Glade suspiciously. Why would the tom have just revealed his schedule? That was a bit odd but of course he wasn't going to complain. "Err it depends quite honestly. Our deputy will assign patrols and send them out a few times a day. Most of us hunt and train whenever we please. Mentors will go and train their apprentices as well." He was purposefully vague, but still honest. Embertail was never one to promote lying, even to possible enemies.
