How are you?

Pretty similar really. Though I'm trying to work on editing my work life balance. It's sort of working, all in all, but there's still a lot of kinks to work out.

Currently trying to survive December. That's pretty much the goal.

That sounds like a lot. //hugs
I have to remind myself in positions a lot of 'what if I saw someone else doing that' - I try to encourage my tired out coworkers to take breaks even when they don't have them, because they are quite literally dizzy or starving or something. But I have to remind myself to do that for myself. It's hard - very - but also I'm decently sure I'm happier for it. Take your breaks if you can, even if you're busy. Better that a couple customers might have to wait a couple more minutes than having you work yourself into the ground and having to take off days. It balances itself out.
Additionally, if it really is so busy, is there any way you can get more workers or maybe at least ask to get paid for the hours you need to work over? If not, treat yourself how you'd treat someone else - if they were working through their breaks, I imagine you'd tell them to take it. <3

I'm now a member of a ton. Almost overwhelming, but since I basically read at work, it's actually helping to flesh out my day.

I read Jingo by Terry Pratchett and now we're doing James Patterson.
So I'm rereading Witch & Wizard.
Then there's the Warriors readying, we're doing Thunder Rising.
Finally, my library is doing Circe.

Finished Jingo and love it as usual.

Dropped Witch & Wizard and read Cross Kill instead (didn't like it, but it was shorter).

Had to drop Thunder Rising, as I didn't finish it in time. Reading and getting further though The First Battle (in German).

Never read Circe.

It's working out well! Reading in German, I mean. I understand the context, I understand what's going on, but a broader extense of the words I might not know or know well. But it's helping me work on German and that's what counts.

^^" I went to the bookstore today! I got three books that I'm very excited about!! One of them was a surprise b/c I didn't even know it existed! I found it when I was looking for other books, and I was like AHHH!! I have to say I am most excited about it!
