Okay, in all seriousness, what do you think Brightflower, Blizzardwing, Tangleburr, Deerfoot, Marshcloud, Stumpytail, and Lilywhisker did to go into the Dark Forest?
Maybe Tangleburr, Deerfoot, Stumpytail, and/or Blizzardwing were some of the ShadowClan cats that joined BloodClan and/or saw StarClan as weak? Tangleburr did seem loyal to ShadowClan from the way she talked about them in TF, so maybe she began to change to her mind as Tigerstar grew into power and/or fought for BloodClan because she thought the Clans had no chance of winning after what happened to Tigerstar?
Grief is shown to drive someone mad sometimes and that was apparently the case with Brightflower. Maybe in this madness she ended up killing cats, especially those with families. Perhaps she was even the one who killed Lionheart?
No idea for Marshcloud since he's never really appeared in the series except for the allegiances, but maybe he was similar to Thistleclaw? Loyal to his Clan, but to a dangerous level. Again, really hard to say. Or maybe he blamed StarClan for letting his sister Fallowtail fall for Reedfeather.
As for Lilywhisker, maybe her kindness was a facade or tried to stay positive at first and then just went out on a killing spree after snapping despite her crippled leg? Perhaps she was somehow responsible for the deaths of her former fellow tunnelers, like Palebird and Woollytail, and maybe took one or more of Heatherstar's lives.

This is kind of beating a dead horse. Your thing on grief and being driven mad, Bluestar, Ashfur and plenty of others acted pretty brain damaged before death, they all ended up in StarClan. I'm really tired of this whole thing, if the Erin's are so determined to make the dark forest seem like wusses, so be it

Well I'll reposted what I said about Brightflower on this thread.
But that could hold for some of the other ShadowClan cats also. What if some of them just believed in Brokenstar's ideals and thought the same way he did that StarClan was weak and was ruining the Clans? It is possible that some of them were the ones to join BloodClan at the end...The same could be true for Marshcloud. Maybe he blamed StarClan for letting his sister have kits with a WindClan cat?

If they were actually evil, then I think that these are the most likely ways that they ended up in the Dark Forest.
Lilywhisker seems interesting. I would like to see an evil cat under a kind mask (Hawkfrost and Sol don't count because they always seemed suspicious and Ashfur doesn't count because he was a jerk to Squirrelflight).
I would like to see a novella or something on some of them, now.

Honestly now this whole Su thing has become beating on a dead horse. Regardless of whether its a joke or not, it's time to move on to more concrete, valuable discussions. The whole of Cats has been filled with this crap today; all we really need is two or three topics, not a whole front page.

Honestly now this whole Su thing has become beating on a dead horse. Regardless of whether its a joke or not, it's time to move on to more concrete, valuable discussions. The whole of Cats has been filled with this crap today; all we really need is two or three topics, not a whole front page. Sorry, but I just wanted to discuss possible legitimate reasons for why these cats went to the Dark Forest for once without there being sarcasm or outrage. And honestly, I haven't noticed too many topics discussing this. |

I now headcanon Tangleburr, Deerfoot and Stumpytail as battling on the side with BloodClan in that battle. The only ShC cat we know that sided with BC was Jaggedtooth, but we never found out who the others were. I'm not even sure Blizzardwing was still alive.
Marshcloud is hard to decipher. We don't know anything about him. He wasn't even in CP. So he might have died before Crookedstar was born. Maybe he trained in the DF, and grew evil as a result?

They are victims of a horrible disease called Background Character Disorder. It's where the authors treat the background characters like complete crap and do whatever they want with them, no matter if it makes sense or not. Because as long as they're not precious main characters, or a certain author's little snuggle bug who just loved too much, who cares about their fate, right? They don't matter. To the Dark Forest with them for absolutely nothing! Kill them with off screen greencough! That'll show them. How dare they be a bland background character.

I wish Stonetooth was in the Dark Forest. (Not because of what he did in Tallstar's Revenge, but because he's the worst cat ever.)
