Rjorn was enjoying the walk in the bright morning sun, and was looking around at his companions. He could see thier features more clearly than before in the dawn light or in the gentle light of a run-down tavern. He turned to the woman walking next to him. Based on her constant, sweet-smelling earthly aroma and her constant abundance of herbs, Rjorn was easily able to make the obvious connection that she was an apothecary. Could she have been from Ryantsby? He decided to take up the opportunity and attempted to spark up conversation. "So," he turned to Mirabelle, "Where are you from?"
im assuming they all must know eachother's names, right?)

Mirabelle blinked, head still swimming with organization plans. She didn't think someone would be striking up a conversation so quick. That question was meant for her, right? Of course, she was the one walking next to him. Mentally, she pushed away the thoughts of her supplies and instead looked at her companion. She had made it a point to figure out what each person did on the first day of travels, to know who to turn to in each particular crisis they might run into. There was no mistaking it. He was the warrior, a knight no less. It was funny, she didn't think knights would be so mild-tempered- so far, he had seemed rather relaxed throughout their journey. Perhaps because he had gone on other quests before? That would make sense. "Ryantsby, the southern region. Better soil down there." she added. Naturally, in a kingdom that coveted alchemy, apothecary was a close second on the list. "And yourself?"

Rjorn raised his eyebrows, despite the fact that it was somewhat obvious an apothecary would be from the kingdom famous for them. "Aah, I'm from Ryantsby too!" his nervousness began to give way. "I'm not really one for alchemy, though," he said, thinking back to the time he was in school. He was never good in the classroom, but he was clever enough to have survived multiple battles, so he didn't take his failures in education too heavily. "So, how has living with the supernaturals been treating you?" He could predict an answer based on his own experiences, but he was always curious on the way other humans were treated, and how they reacted.

She smiled a little at his sudden excitement from sharing the same kingdom. It certainly was much easier making conversation if they shared a common ground, and after all, they were all going to be together for quite a while. The quest itself would hopefully pick up the pace after they began to make some progress. She could only imagine what that would feel like right now. Currently, their goals looked as far away as the world they were trying to get to, but Mirabelle would not be giving up that easier. "It's certainly not the best situation I've been in." she rolled her eyes, leaving it at that. Truthfully, most of the supernaturals ignored her- she didn't exactly make an effort to stick out, and she didn't have anyone to sell to anymore, so life for the past few days had just been tending to her shop, a forgotten relic of the past glory of humankind's intelligence. Mirabelle had one of the most successful shops in all of Ryantsby. "The sooner we get out of here, the better."

Rjorn nodded. The whole "new world" thing hadn't been very easy for him, either; he had been going around doing odd jobs for supernaturals, and moving from cheap inn to cheap inn. He had been turned down multiple times when he offered to do a job due to him being a human, but it's not like he really put up a fight if he was ever discriminated against. He found himself just kind of "going with the flow" at this point, and living each day with a creeping uncertainty. At least now he knew what he was going to be doing tomorrow to some extent.
