People on here seem to have a dislike for Brook and to an extent StormBrook. I never really minded her, sure she's not the most interesting character but still. People say how StormBrook is influenced by Stockholm Syndrome but honestly I didn't see it that way. It's a fine pairing, nothing special but not awful either.

idk about the Stockholm syndrome stuff but i mostly just dislike the pairing bc i find brook bland as hell, and I kind of liked stormfur so seeing him just dump his family for her when he didn't even know her very well rubbed me the wrong way

Based on some research I did years ago, here are the symptoms and requirements for Stockholm Syndrome if anyone needs a reference. 1) Positive feelings by the prisoner toward the captor.
2) Negative feelings by the prisoner toward his or her family, friends or authorities attempting any rescue.
3) Support for the captor's reasons and behaviors.
4) Positive feelings on the end of the captor toward the victim.
5) Support from the victim to help the captor.
6) Inability by the victim to execute behaviors that can lead to release or detachment from the captor.
In order for Stockholm Syndrome to occur, there must be at least three of the following traits:
1) There must be a sorely uneven balance of power in which the captor must dictate what the captive can and cannot do.
2) There must be the threat of death or physical injury to the captive from the captor.
3) There must be a self-preservation instinct within the prisoner.
4) The prisoner believes (perhaps falsely) that he or she cannot escape.
5) Survival is dependent upon following the rules of the captor.
6) The prisoner must be isolated from others who are not being held captive. As for Brook, I never really minded her, either.

Stormfur was riverclans last chance for riverclan to get any spotlight given his bloodline and his kits
but alas no one in riverclan is related to a main character now and they fade away

Anything from the Tribe is toxic. Anything. I cannot think of a single thing even associated with it that does not become worse by association.

I think she's nice, and she's pretty useful. I mean, she's a good hunter, and not a bad fighter, despite having like no fighting training. She was able to take on both Weaselfur and Owlwhisker at the same time.

I did a post about this and it still stands. The pairing, for me, has always been highly uncomfortable, and anything relate to the tribe honestly really was toxic writing. They're literally a cult of selfish cats that use others and are quick to blame everyone but themselves. I still stand by the notion that Stormfur should have stayed in RiverClan and save it from being so boring, while Brook and him should have never been a thing period. Her personality was utterly bland simply because she really was just a "sheep follower" that did everything the other tribe cats did.

No
I find her pretty decent and enjoyable. Also, I'm suprised quite a few people dislike the ship. I can see the Stockholm part of it, but even after all that I think Stormfur truly loved Brook even regardless of prior circumstances

Some interesting points made here. I will have to pay more attention to Stormfur's POV during my TNP reread, tbh I skimmed most of the Tribe parts because I just wanted them to leave the stupid mountains and start doing interesting stuff already.
Even though I don't mind Brook by herself, the Tribe as a whole I despised. Like they really served no purpose for me other than to leave me confused af about the POT prophecy. I felt their sections were tedious and dragged down the plot, and were pretty much filler. Plus, they are pretty pathetic. I can understand not being able to handle a puma by themselves, but you're telling me a big group of cats can't deal with some rogues? BrambleSquirrel and co. and some kids had to haul themselves over there to teach them how to fight? And then they turned on Stormfur even though he tried to help them with their own incompetence. Man, I couldn't ditch Sign of the Moon fast enough once I realized Dovewing and Jayfeather were going to go hiking during the last half. The next time the Tribe appears it will be too soon. Out of the group I only like Stormfur and his family, and Talon.
Sorry for the rant. ^_^"

First of all, Stockholm Syndrome is more pseudo science than an actual diagnosed thing, it's highly contested within the psychiatric community and many experts even question its legitimacy as a term.
Even so, no, Brook and Stormfur do not qualify at all for even the loose consensus on what Stockholm Syndrome could be. I literally do not even need to say any more than the fact Stormfur left the Tribe multiple times. He even said he wouldn't have stayed with them in Dawn had Feathertail and Graystripe not been dead (or presumed dead, in the latter case). They were desperate cats pushed to an immoral act, but Brook felt legitimate guilt over it. She was not gleefully manipulating Stormfur.
Furthermore, one of the mostly agreed upon symptoms of 'Stockholm Syndrome' is the way a captive will feel gratitude and affection towards their captor for a small act of kindness after cruelty. This is not why Stormfur and the others decided to help the Tribe. They helped the Tribe because they witnessed the death of a mother right in front of their own eyes. It was a moral judgement based on the fact the cats were Literally Dying, not Stormfur deciding to stay for no reason other than an affection for the Tribe. Omitting the motivations and circumstances behind these events gives an inaccurate view of what actually happened.

I don't mind Brook and Stormfur together. It's the Tribe that's horrible.

yeah i didnt include this in my post bc i didnt potentially want to start a debate, but stockholm syndrome isn't even on the most updated DSM as far as I remember. it's really contested among psychologists. i dislike stormbrook for other reasons but stockholm syndrome isnt one of them
