Blushingrose Camp - - - - - A smile flickered across Blushingrose's smile as she heard Hummingfrost's soft huff of laughter. Thinking towards the bright side, at least her and Hummingfrost had always been a mess together. Her friend had almost always been by her side... as the queen was only a few moons older than her. They played together as kits for a short while before their relationship continued to grow over the moons. Look far we came, she couldn't help but think with a soft purr.
The pale feline followed Hummingfrost's gaze and twitched her whiskers as she spotted the blurs of fur. It seems like they found something to do. Her whiskers twitched in amusement. "They should stay out of trouble," Blushingrose chuckled, her eyes lighting up with laughter. Being in camp might be bad for the nerves and patience of felines but it should be hard to get into actual, physical trouble.
"If they take after you at all, everyone will be calm and safe," Blushingrose joked, flickering Hummingfrost's ear with her tail. Juniperpaw or Bravepaw probably had enough sense to stay calm... while Mossypaw's mouth would probably start a civil war. However, it was all in good fun.

Hummingfrost
All the tension that had been growing stiff inside her muscles released its grip on the molly the moment she spotted Coldfeather joining the trio of apprentices. Now with a warrior there to oversee what they were up to, Hummingfrost no longer felt any inkling of worry that her two sons would get themselves in danger. She would have to thank Coldfeather later, but for now she let it be. The warrior had her paws full with the three apprentices, and Hummingfrost didn’t want to add another cat for the molly to keep an eye on.
Blushingrose’s voice snapped Hummingfrost out of her thoughts. Amusement flashed in her copper gaze, whiskers twitching. ”Perhaps, but if they took after me too much then the Clan would be full of docile warriors too afraid to even catch a mouse,” she quipped back with ease. Her words were full of laughter, obviously a tease and something that was meant to take lightly, but Hummingfrost went silent after the words had left her mouth. It was a statement not much unlike that one that Dimheart had once snapped at her. It had hurt, especially since it had come from her very own littermate, but she tried not to let it get to her. Even now she shook her head to rid herself of those thoughts before she fell in too deep. Now wasn’t the time to think about her falling out with her sister. She needed to focus on the fact that she was beside a cat that actually cared about her, a cat that would always, and had always, been right at her side from the start.

Bravepaw With Mossypaw, Applepaw, and Coldfeather [ 𝑓𝑜𝑥 & ✨ nissabug ✨ & Stealthfire ] - - - - - The tom couldn't help but laugh at Mossypaw's expression... his words striked a cord like he thought it was. His amber eyes twitnkled with faint amusement, watching as the grey tom gathered his paws and fluffed up his fur. Sometimes he thought Mossypaw got fired up too quickly. Bravepaw glanced over at Applepaw and grinned at her, "Very honorable fighting," he teased with a slight purr.
His gaze flickered back towards Mossypaw and he couldn't help but roll his eyes. The harsh tone wasn't at all surprising, his brother never had done well with teasing in front of his peers.
Bravepaw flickered his tail and greeted Coldfeather with a friendly smile and a "Hello" of his own. He snickered gently under his breath at the warrior's sly smile that was directed towards Mossypaw. He figured that his brother would probably see as something personal.
Battle training? He titled his head in faint surprise before shrugging his shoulders, might as well. The silvery tabby pushed himself to his paws and then followed his clanmates over towards a secluded part of camp. His bright eyes flickered towards Coldfeather, listening to what the warrior had planned intently.
[ sorry guys, when there are more than 3 people involved in roleplay. I mentally clock out ~ so my bravepaw's responses will be slow and probably brief.. ]

Fawnspirit Antler Meadow - - - - -
Fawnspirit shifted on her paws, ignoring the snow that was slowly starting to build on their backs and the wind. However, the chilly atmosphere that had developed between the cousins had bothered her more than she was willing to admit. If Hawkscoop wanted to stall their patrol to tell them that they weren't following their responsibilities, then he was a hypocrite.
She narrowed his eyes, not completely believing either of their words. They knew this territory by heart but something felt off. This storm felt different. Fawnspirit swished her tail and trailed after her brother as he started to trudge back through the snow once more. Her amber gaze flickered over Moosepelt's back and she wrinkled her nose. She was a proud feline and Hawkscoop's prickly attitude was irritating her, already, thin patience. Fawnspirit remained silent as she padded through the snow. She could still feel the underlining of anger, if she opened her mouth, she would say something that she would probably regret later.

Hawkswoop angled his ears when he heard Moosepelt speak up. While he wasn't as close as the two were with their sibling relationship, Hawkswoop honestly hoped that they could all get along. "I am glad you have faith in me," he looked to Moosepelt. "If I am completely honest, I am just as uncertain as you two are. I'm afraid of finding nothing and return with nothing." Opening up about his own emotions was something that Hawkswoop didn't share or take lightly. So showing Moosepelt what he was feeling was a big step. I just don't want to disappoint anyone. Hawkswoop thought, his amber eyes moving to Fawnspirit. As much as he wanted to grow closer to his cousin, she didn't seem to want to interact. Fair enough. Hawkswoop had no quarrel with it.

Softelm immediately stood when Swallowfur asked."I was ready like a moon ago," she grinned at him, her fluffy tail arching to show her enthusiasm.Her orange eyes glittered as she took a few steps forward, before she turned her head towards Swallowfur. She would be lying if she said that she wasn't trying to impress her friend. Since becoming friends with Swallowfur, she wasn't quite sure what she saw him as, but little by little, all she wanted was to be close. XXXD r i f t w i n d | Whitefalcon { Feathertalon }
He did as he was told and padded over to her, before he took his spot next to her. "I have noticed two patrols going out," he meowed, yellow eyes darkening, "But, everyone is right to worry. What if the patrols don't come back? Wouldn't that be on the leader who sent them to their deaths?" He had no ill intentions, but he did worry about the patrols safety and whether or not they'll bring back prey for the clan.

Swallowfur
The thought of Chickadeewing was going to stay in the back of his mind. Swallowfur wasn’t the Clan’s best warrior or anything close to being someone who would bring honor to the Clan, but if there was one thing he absolutely prided himself on was the fact that his sister meant a lot to him. Maybe he showed that in weird ways, but he truly cared about her. He wanted to see her happy and as stress free as she could be with him as a brother. The molly meant a lot to him, and without her he wouldn’t know what he would do.
It was Softelm’s familiar voice that broke him from those thoughts. He turned a sparkling green gaze toward the female, body practically vibrating with excitement at the prospect of exploring deeper into the cave. ”Great!” He chirped.
Then, without warning, Swallowfur playfully shoved his best friend and took off. ”Hurry up, slowpoke!” He called out in a tease, only giving her one glance over his shoulder before speeding up his pace and going deeper into the cave.
Whitefalcon
Whitefalcon could automatically sense that the tomcat meant no ill intentions with his words. She had been alive for far too long to not understand the difference between malice and simple thought that came from observation. Even still, the white molly fixed a state on Driftwind for a few moments before shaking her head, a stiff chuff of amusement slipping from her lips. ”Driftwind, tell me, as far as you can remember wasn’t the fact that Clan life is harsh spoken about time and time again? And when you became a warrior didn’t you vow to give your life for the sake of your Clanmates? With all that in mind, we warriors are trained to withstand even the toughest of storms.” She paused there long enough to turn and look toward the camp’s exit. ”I won’t deny these conditions are...harsher than usual, but it is times like these that warriors are trained for. It may test the limits of those on the patrols, but we shouldn’t worry about the very things we were trained for.” Perhaps she should be more worried than she was; after all, she had two of her very own kits on one of the patrols, but Whitefalcon knew her kits well. She didn’t raise them to be soft or to crumble under pressure. Whitefalcon prided herself in only raising warriors that the Clan could be proud of, and she was sure Moosepelt and Fawnspirit would return successful.
The aging warrior looked away from the camp’s exit, but not quite returning her gaze to Driftwind just yet. ”I can see why cats would doubt Grizzlystar’s decision, but he has led the Clan without problems for seasons. He may be graying around the muzzle, but his mind is still as sharp as ever,” she mewed with a half joke to the statement. It was no secret that the leader, and Whitefalcon herself for that matter, was getting on up there in age, but his decision making was still sound as far as Whitefalcon was concerned.

Raccoonpaw / Houndshadow Feathertalon / Juniperpaw Starchaser
Her guilt completely shaken from her, she proudly followed Houndshadow and Juniperpaw to begin their training. It would be good practice, and with Houndshadow's approval, no one ran the risk of getting assigned extra apprentice duties for their misdeeds. She considered both the warrior and her fellow apprentice's suggestions carefully. Though it was merely a practice spar, Raccoonpaw was highly concerned with how she would fare. For the sake of Houndshadow and Juniperpaw's opinions of her, and of course, for the opinions of anyone who chanced to steal a glance at their camp located training. It was a rare opportunity to be demonstrating her abilities within camp where anyone could potentially see them, not tucked away in some deep forest meadow out of view.
Going alongside Houndshadow would ensure she didn't falter against Juniperpaw, who was older than her. But, it would be all the more meritous for Racoonpaw to practice first against Juniperpaw by herself, where the odds were closer and her imagined prestige greater. It all came down to how confident she felt in her skills that day, and though it had been awhile since Fawnspirit had been able to take her training in the weather they experienced, Raccoonpaw was particularly confident. "Okay, Juniperpaw," she answered, turning to Houndshadow, "If it's alright with you, I'll test how much I know against Juniperpaw first. I'd love to know if you can show me anything I've yet to learn," the eager she-cat meowed politely. Since Houndshadow had been mentoring Juniperpaw for a whole moon longer, maybe he could teach her something even more advanced than she was used to.

Houndshadow
Pride for his apprentice welled up inside him, and the pride was very easily reflected in his gaze as he looked at Juniperpaw to give her a nod. "That sounds like the best course of action right now," he agreed to the older apprentice's suggestion. It would benefit them all to see where Juniperpaw and Raccoonpaw landed when put against one another in a sparring session. That way they would learn from one another all the while allowing Houndshadow to see just where Raccoonpaw was in her training as well.
Knowing he would be staying out of this round, the black tomcat took a seat close enough to the two but just far enough away that they had room to scuffle. He neatly curled his tail around his paws and angled his pale green gaze toward the two mollies. "Begin when you both are ready, I'll sit here and observe." While there was a seriousness to his voice that spoke of how this was important practice, there was still that undeniable warmth to his words like always. Even during training his fatherly nature made an appearance, and he didn't do anything to hide either that or the pride that still gleamed in his expression.

Blushingrose Camp - - - - - Peering out of the nursery with a curious tint in her eyes, Blushingrose could see that camp was bustling with more life than usual and beyond the apprentices. She figured the patrols had stirred up the more restless cats and it was probably hard for some to stand still. She really hoped this storm died out sooner than later. Like most of her clanmates, Blushingrose couldn't want to leave camp and feel the warmth of the sun on her fur.
Her blue eyes light up with laughter. She twitched her whiskers, "I don't see anything wrong with that," she meowed with a purr... however, the loud purr faltered when Blushingrose spotted the slight dejected glint in Hummingfrost's eyes. Even if they haven't spoke about it in a long while, she knew that certain harsh words still haunted her friend's mind. Not that Blushingrose would ever press Hummingfrost to talk about it. She wasn't the type to push. The pale feline swished her tail before huffing gently, "Sometimes I wish we lived in a normal forest... with no snow storms," she mused. She loved her clan, she really did but this extreme weather always felt draining.

Hummingfrost
Just that one simple statement Blushingrose had made meant the world to Hummingfrost. "I don't see anything wrong with that". Those words shouldn't cling to her like a warm moss bed, but they did, and Hummingfrost couldn't help but feel a blossom of affection bloom inside her chest toward her friend. It was Blushingrose's steadfast loyalty and friendship to Hummingfrost that the silver tabby couldn't get enough of, and it was the simple way her best friend always had her back that lit the queen up with joy. She did her best to do the same to her friend in return. Hummingfrost didn't want this friendship to be a one way thing. If ever Blushingrose needed her help or needed her to give her some warm words, then the queen would do so without a doubt. There was nothing she wouldn't do for the warrior.
It wasn't long before Hummingfrost was pulled back to reality. Her tail twitched, moving forward to curl around her paws in a relatively neat manner. "It would be nice to live somewhere we don't have to worry about snow," she agreed with a nod. Hummingfrost wasn't even a warrior that had to be out of camp and trek through all the winter weather, but even inside camp the conditions took a toll on her. It was the energy in camp that really got to her - how warriors were restless and crabby, how apprentices were buzzing with frustrated energy, and how any kit that would be in the nursery would constantly go on and on about wanting to play in the snow but always being told no. "Do you think there's any place out there like that?" Hummingfrost then questioned, copper eyes growing wide with wonder. "A place where snow never falls? That sounds like something in a tale for kits." She knew there were lands beyond the MountainClan borders, but surely it was all the same out there. Mountains, thick forest land, and a guarantee blanket of snow that felt year round. The idea of anything different just felt wrong, but in these conditions, it sounded like paradise.

The little molly's enthusiasm at Blackpaw's words made a small smile tug at the corners of the she-cat's mouth. She couldn't help but be influenced by the electricity of her sister's excitement. It couldn't hurt this once, especially if helping out made Cinderpaw this happy. "You're welcome," Blackpaw purred giving her little sister a playful pat on the head with the flat of her paw. "Just.... listen real careful, okay? And if Silverbirch comes back.... do your best to look innocent." She added, a serious note in her orange eyes.
Her attention turned to Martnepaw as he returned from his work in the herb store, and the molly's pelt burned a bit in embarrassment. It was bad enough to have been witnessed sleeping in and now she had been caught entertaining Cinderpaw when the medicine den was no place for an apprentice of her age. "Don't worry," She reassured, sitting up straighter and twitching her whiskers a bit as she tried to compose herself, recovering from her more playful state earlier. "She is absolutely not going near anything that important." Blackpaw responded, realizing she sounded a bit harsh. "I, uh... can you think of anything small she can help with, Martenpaw?" She inquired, tone softening as she huffed a laugh at her fellow apprentices joke.

Spottedfire dipped her head in understanding to Dimheart, taking the hint to pursue the prey herself. She felt uneasiness twitch in the tips of her paws--the she-cat was never the keenest hunter but was also not one to doubt her abilities. Dropping low into a crouch, Spottedfire hoped she blended than she thought she did against the snow. While her calico pelt was dilute, the orange and black patches still stood out more than she would prefer. However, the wind was blowing in her favor and she crept towards the bird with her belly on the ground.
As she slunk closer to the crow, Spottedfire sprung from behind the bird. One of her rear paws caught a tree root that had been hidden by a dusting of snow and skewed her lunge and slowed her down enough that she didn't land where she wanted. Hissing, she stretched outwards to swat at the bird as it cawed and flapped its wings, attempting to take flight. The molly's swat kept the crow from becoming airborne and she tried to keep it down while flushing it towards Nightsky and Dimheart.

Moosepelt shot a sheepish grin at his sister, knowing that her temper wasn't always the mildest when she was challenged, especially as directly as Hawkswoop had. He hoped for the sake of the patrol that the trio could continue to get along for the rest of the hunt, but something in the tension that hung in the air informed him that would be unlikely.
The warrior dipped his head in agreement at Hawkswoop's words. "It's reasonable to be worried. Hell, it's probably the smart thing." Moosepelt replied, laughing a bit although his voice sounded hollow. "But all we can do is try, and that's what we're out here doing, right?" Even if we don't find any prey, we'll get back okay... nothing to lose, and who could fault us for being empty-jawed in this storm?

Dimheart
Spottedfire had to make the kill. Or, if anything, one of them had to make the kill. If something happened and they let the crow go... Well, it wouldn't be good. Hopefully this wouldn't be their only chance to catch something for the Clan, but on the chance that it was, they couldn't afford to miss it. Dimheart was sure this would be an easy task to accomplish, but she also knew that anything could happen during a hunt. One wrong move, one wrong step, and it was all over.
She'd be lying if she said she wasn't on edge. She was tense, and her blood was pumping throughout her body, roaring in her ears. There was enough tension going through her at the moment that she barely even felt the stinging cold of the wind as it blew in front of the cats, pushing their scent away from the crow. That was fortunate, at least. They had the wind on their side so surely the crow wouldn't be able to smell or hear Spottedfire coming.
Spottedfire's hunt was going smoothly until a previously hidden branch made its presence known.
Dimheart hissed in frustration the moment she noticed Spottedfire fall short. Desperate to not lose the crow, Dimheart sprung into action. She unsheathed her claws and lunged forward. Thanks to Spottedfire being able to keep the crow from fully flying off, the silver tabby was able to leap forward, front paws outstretched, and sink her claws into the songbird. The bird gave a shrill caw as the feline brought it down, and it wasn't long before Dimheart cut the crow's calls off as she sank her fangs deep into the corvid's throat to end the struggle and finally take down the crow.

Blushingrose Camp - - - - - Something drew Blushingrose's attention back out of the nursery. Her amber eyes flickered towards the passing blurs outside and her ears strained to decipher some of mumbling. The pale molly twitched her whiskers in faint amusement. Even though being trapped within camp was slowly driving her crazy, she wouldn't deny that she did enjoy being around her clanmates. She was proud of how far she had come if she really put some thought into it. In her former moons, she really only stuck close to Hummingfrost and kept quiet. However with Hummingfrost's decision to stay permanently in the nursery had nudged Blushingrose into the role of being a more confident feline, who actually interacted and talked back.
Glancing back towards Hummingfrost, her blue eyes light up with faint laughter at the obscure idea. "I don't think a place without snow even exists," she mused, her tail twitching. As far as she knew snow fell every leaf bare, here and everywhere. Why wouldn't it be the same for any other cats beyond their borders? It wasn't like they got many outsiders that would tell them different. Blushingrose would never stray outside of Mountainclan... like her family before her, she would walk on the same path as her ancestors and eventually pass away within the harsh terrain. "If such a place is real... it is far from here," Blushingrose meowed with a wrinkle of her nose, it would have to be really far away like moons and moons treks ago. "It would be nice," she sighed wistfully with a faint purr, "Warm weather? Prey that never leaves? It would be like a good dream," she purred, playfully swatting Hummingfrost with her tail.

Hummingfrost
Just the thought of a place that never snowed sounded so foreign to Hummingfrost. It was like something that would never actually exist, yet she was imagining it all the same. How could a world without snow even be possible? There was no way that was an actual thing. A territory without snow was just unheard of. And even if it was somehow a reality, and as much as Hummingfrost couldn't stand the snow right now, she would never be able to actually leave MountainClan for the sake of a land of constant sunshine. It would all just be too good to be true, and eventually there would be something to crop up that would make the molly regret ever going there. Even in what sounded like paradise there had to be flaws, and for all of MountainClan's flaws, Hummingfrost was too attached to them to ever let go.
She did, however, find amusement in her friend's words. A mrrrow of laughter rolled off her tongue. "Kits would always be able to play outside of the nursery, and the elders could suck up as much sun as they could ever want. We'd all be fatter than ticks with all the prey that would be out and about," she joked, copper eyes alight with amusement just at the mere thought. "We'd all be sitting like spoiled kittypets." Perhaps that would be the greatest flaw of a territory like that. A Clan growing fat and lazy wasn't a Clan at all, and perhaps, eventually, that would cause everything that Hummingfrost had ever known in her life to crumble away. Life as a Clan cat would be over. Don't get her wrong, she hated the fact that Clan life was dangerous and more cats died than not, but she knew that, deep down, she was a Clan cat at heart, and something that could take that away from her was automatically a threat in her eyes.
Hummingfrost didn't linger on those thoughts for long due to Blushingrose giving a playful swat of her tail. The tabby let out a mock huff of annoyance, though her eyes betrayed the laughter that truly bubbled inside her chest. "Does your good dream also include attacking me with your tail?" She teased, playfully flashing her fangs at the other molly and then clicking them together as if threatening to use them when really she would never dare do such a thing toward her best friend, or any cat really. It was all just in good fun, and Hummingfrost knew her friend knew that.

Nightsky - - - - - His green gaze flickered around the trees, twitching his ears as the wind howled through the trees. This weather was something else, he thought with a inaudible sigh. However, he was confident in his patrol's ability, they would find and catch some prey soon. He swished his tail and glanced over towards Dimheart instinctively as he caught the scent of something in the wind.
Nightsky followed Dimheart's gesture with his gaze, watching their dappled companion stalking away. With the three of them focusing on one bird, they should hopefully be able to catch it. It would feed a few cats. He followed Dimheart, knowing what the two felines had planned silently. His green eyes flickered towards the black spot, watching Spottedfire stalking closer to the bird. Nightsky couldn't help but tense as he crouched near the ground, watching with narrowed eyes.
The tom unsheathe his claws as the crow flew into the air. His form tensed as he shifted on his paws, ready to move if Dimheart wasn't able to grasp the crow with her claws. He let out a soft sigh of relief as the silver feline managed to bring down the crow with swift and decisive movements.
