Ok so maybe it would work out alright, then. It definitely does take a lot of patience, but you’re not a complete newbie at it Just don’t forget about yourself. You’ve got your whole life ahead of you, and you have to figure out who you want to be. I understand not leaving and wanting to help, but you have to help yourself, too. Could you talk to your sister about this? Does she listen well? Tell her your concerns and frustrations and how you feel—it’s her child, she shouldn’t be putting him off on you. Honestly, sometimes helping another person means telling it to them completely straight, even if it’ll hurt them. Your sister needs to take responsibility for her choices You’re a good person, and you’re doing good things. Remember you have duties to yourself, too I've tried talking to her about it, but she's just like "It won't be that long." and all these other excuses.

In my high school, there was only like 200 people in grades 7-12, so that wasn't too bad

There’s a lot of things you can do. So don’t feel bad. If its’ not for you, it’s not for you. And no joke about the debt—it’s insane I don’t know what to tell you. I’m really sorry you’re in this situation. If I can do anything for you, please let me know. And keep me updated if anything changes? You’re a good person, you deserve better than this

I know that I probably could be doing better, but I just want to live my life while I'm young enough to live it. When I become like 70 or something, I'll look into going to college, that's if I live that long. Honestly though, when I think of my future, I can't even imagine the next five years. The thought of the future terrifies me

Be with people you care about and make good memories. Set yourself up for a successful future. It’ll be good. i think education is a great thing, but we have gotten into a really narrow mindset of what education is—that it has to be through traditional, formal school. I read a heck ton cause I love reading, and nearly all of the things that I’ve learned that’s really impacted my life has come through the books i’ve read, nonfiction and fiction alike. What about the future terrifies you so much, do you think?

What about the future terrifies you so much, do you think? Just getting older and being a failure I guess. Also, the fact that when I die, I highly doubt it'll affect anyone that much. I don't even want to know what someone would say at my funeral, or if I even want one, I just hope I don't come back as a ghost during it to see everyone talking bad about me. Enough of the morbid stuff though, I have learned more on my own than I ever learned at school

ChickenI feel you with the failure thing. I think everyone kinda feels that way. I just switched majors from biochemistry (I was going to go to medical school to be a doctor and everything) to majoring in philosophy, and I want to go be a philosophy professor. Everyone kinda feels like I’m wasting my degree and kinda being an idiot, I think. There’s some people I haven’t told at all yet since I know they’re going to respond badly. I think you affect more people than you think. You seem like someone who cares about other people, and that caring gets felt. You matter a lot, and you make a bigger difference than you think you do, I promise I’d come to your funeral and say many nice things, like how you’re intelligent and thoughtful and compassionate and selfless. And I’ve known you for how long? I’m sure there’s a million other amazing qualities that you have that I just don’t know about yet. And if anyone tried to be mean to you, I would kick them out. Or challenge them to a duel. Either one works

I think you should do whatever makes you happy, I mean, what's the point of doing something if you're going to hate it? I know that sometimes you have to do something you don't like, but if you have the chance to do something you truly love, then go for it, and screw what everyone else says. I don't think you're an idiot at all

Yeah, that’s what I’m trying to do. I love philosophy and I love teaching people. I think I’d get really burnt out going to med school and especially being a doctor, and I don’t want to become numb to other people’s pain because its’ routine to me, if that makes sense

Chicken So do you know what you are interested in doing? I'm actually on disability right now because I've been seen as unfit to work Oh, okay. You don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to, but I’m curious of what’s causing that. I have a lot of people in my life who are fairly conventionally disabled—my younger sister has Downs syndrome and autism, my older brother has Aspergers syndrome, some of my aunts have a lot of health issues, stuff like that. You don’t have to tell me if you dont feel comfortable, of course what kind of things are you typically interested in? Like I love to write and read, I love learning, and I’m really passionate about human rights. I also like boxing, that’s really fun even though I’m not very good. I guess hobbies/interests is what I’m asking

I really like writing, and surprisingly, acting, which is funny considering I can't even go up to someone and talk to them, but I can go on a stage and talk in front of a lot of people with hardly any fear. Back before I moved to the stupid city, I liked going out on walks and climbing trees and stuff Oh, learning about geography is fun too, and learning different languages

I was surprised and pleased.
