//hello everyone! i'm a little short on time right now, but I just wanted to jump-start something in case anyone wants to join in. just as the title says, no commitment needed: feel free to drop in and out whenever you want! clans do not exist in this rp, so no mentions of them are to be made. these cats are simple forest cats. curious kittypets who decided to roam the forest are allowed, however. posts may be as long or as short as you want (yes, one-liners are allowed if you're low on creative juices. just please try to lengthen them as much as possible before you decide to just post). and please abide by forum rules at all times. thank you!! c: The dusky gold and brown she-cat trodded along the forest floor, paws splashing in the wet puddles left by the storm that had claimed the sky overnight. Black thunderclouds had rolled in every direction of sight, touching the ends of the sky like paws shaped of fog and smoke. She shivered, tail flicking behind her to rid itself of the wetness as it had dragged through a puddle. The never-ceasing torrent had hailed down from overhead for hours upon hours through the night, taking everything from her. She'd been separated from her brother, lost her prey store-- so she'd have to stick it by herself, go it alone until she could find some help.
Finally slowing after hours of walking, she laid down, allowing her aching muscles to rest. Muzzle brushing a sodden leaf on the ground as she lowered her head onto her paws, she sighed. "Oh, Honey, what have you gotten yourself into?"

//hey so uh, i absolutely love your icon
Alistair trotted through the familiar woods. His collar jingled as he moved. He would often sneak out of his twolegs den for walks like this after rain, there wasn't too much wildlife to contend with. Much of the prey seemed to stay in their nests, where it would be dry. Or maybe he just wasn't observant. After all, he really didn't need to be. He stopped as he came across a shape lying in the woods. It didn't match the rest of the forest floor.
As Alistair trotted over to the cat lying on the ground he called out. "Hey, are you alright?" he asked. If the cat wasn't okay, he wasn't sure if he could properly help, but it's not like he could just ignore them.

//oh god, I don't know how I didn't see this. but thank you very much!! ;w;
She looked up, obviously not expecting to meet another cat so soon. It was only when she noticed the collar the other cat bore on his neck that her ears flattened again. It's just a plain old kittypet.
She gave him a tired look. "I'm fine. Can I help you?"
//okay don't mind my bb being a tad bit racist (is not liking kittypets racist? are there such things as racist cats? probably lol)

//all good lol
"Ah, no?" Alistair said. "I was thinking, you might be the one that needed help?" He took a closer look at the she-cat. She looked to be in one piece. "I don't think I could, in good conscious, just leave another cat in need to fend for themselves."

"Well I don't think you can." She replied, a little snottily. She licked her aching paws a few times before standing up. "Unless you know where I can get some good prey around here-" her stomach grumbled on cue- "I'll be on my merry way."

“Hey.” The black fluffy tom spoke between the in his mouth. He’d seen the other cat around before, but the kittypet was new. Didn’t matter to him though. He walked up to the duo. “Here, ya sound hungry, the hare’s big enough to share.” He replied.
