After several years of being at war, the three kingdoms of the region came to the conclusion that peace needed to be made. Well, almost. Mithra, a seaside kingdom with many islands included within their borders and Zaestro, a desert bound kingdom, made and declared peace during a short period of cease fire. Ereva, made up of a large valley with their main city built into the neighboring mountain, was attempting to recover at the time. When peace was declared across the three kingdoms the royal parties of the larger two decided a celebration was needed to commemorate this new peace time. A party was planned to be held in either kingdom, however, none had given much thought to the third's absence. While peace was seemingly made across all three lands, the mountainous region harbored general disagreement with the idea of a cease fire. The ruling entity of Ereva declared war regardless of the new peace time, and planned an attack that would be launched during the celebration.

Demons On par with the Angels in power and yet seen to be worse than them. It's a sad thing, really, considering its only a minuscule group of them that gave the rest a bad name. Demons have been getting the short end of the stick for as long as Humans could walk on two legs, maybe even before that. Even still, they persevered, worship their own deities just as anyone else does. This particular species doesn't age as Humans do, rather they age with societal standards, never seeming to get old. That is to say, Demons are always the epitome of beauty, and they always have been. They are one of two species who's looks follow the societal definition of beauty, making them an unattainable standard. Their looks carry an air of danger that's irresistible rather than off-putting. Besides, who doesn't want to get closer to a lovely looking thing like them? Just know what you're getting into.
Demons have no qualms about lying, and they're rather exceptional at it. Typically, only another Demon and Angels can tell when one is lying, and on occasion, Vampires and Werewolves. They can lie, cheat, and steal without receiving repercussions that are programmed in their DNA. On the other hand, Demons are bound to their word. Any promise they make must be kept no matter what, so it's best to make sure you were highly specific. Any Demon that fails to keep their word falls ill. It starts with a cold and progresses until it's fatal unless they follow through.
These creatures are known to be able to manipulate the more negative emotions such as sadness, malice, envy, anger, etc., etc.. These sorts of actions, however, do take a large toll on their own energy reserves. A more costly power they have is possession, which, with one wrong move, could end in fatality. It also requires a full day of recovery. Less taxing abilities include magic manipulation (changes levels of external and/or internal magic, rendering all spells, runes, and otherwise worthless for a short amount of time, including their own), teleportation, telekinesis, and summoning of weapons from the shadows that typically poison a target either with impulsions to turn on allies or with actual poison. The magics the practice include energy manipulation, destruction magic, and illusion magic (doesn't change perception, however, creates new things, settings, appearances, or creatures/people for a given amount of time, but no illusion in permanent).
Demons are known to be in their weakest state when they appear Human. This is what is known as the no-horn state. This state of being is used for typically day-to-day business, relaxing, recovery, etc.. They can also be forced into it if they become too fatigued. In this no-horn state, Demons can't use possession, weapon summoning, or magic manipulation. On the opposite side of the spectrum lays the horn state. When going into this most natural form, a Demon will enter a state the humans call Hell's Void, which consists of them being physically wrapped in a shadow from head to toe. The shadow appears to be consuming them, building on them. Through this process, a Demon will regain their horns, and the set of animal-esque attribute they were born with. All Demons have claws and a tail of sorts, however, the tail type depends on genetics. Other attributes can include near full body changes, more animal-like leg structure, a snout, extra rows of teeth, different skill color, and even changes to the eyes. This all depends on their DNA.
A side note about this species; they can be summoned in a summoning circle with an incantation the witches have kept secret, but only if their full name is known.

Myst's Characters
Cruva Xuleiphir Bakilas | Unknown | Demon
Human Appearance: Standing at 6’ even, Cruva doesn’t appear as much. He falls on the slimmer side of the spectrum, though he can clearly hold his own based on his musculature. The demon is built like somebody who trains for endurance rather than strength; with this in mind, his muscles are defined enough that they’re visible, but slightly less so than the common guard. The demon keeps his coil-like hair dreaded, as he finds it’s much easier to manage this way. His skin is comparable to mocha, though is littered with scars that he couldn’t force away in his new form. Most notably, there is a scar across his right cheek that starts at his temple as end just above his mouth. The rest are assumed to be from knife fights and the like. His facial features are gentle, the most defined point being his jaw. The demon sports almond shaped upturned eyes that are of interest, as it was the one thing, he was unable to fix. He’s heterochromatic, his left eye a wine red and his right eye a grey so light it’s almost white. Despite the curiosity his eyes create, his general presentation tends to lead people to believe he’s harmless even though he’s serving as a personal guard.
Demon Appearance: Cruva, one of the higher ranking wrath-specialized demons, is quite the sight in his natural form. Standing at 7’ tall, he takes on a much different stance and is visibly more muscular. With dragon-esque feet he’s takes on a more anthropomorphic stance noted by the anatomical change in his legs. While most of his skin is pale purple in color, although his extremities are midnight black, the darker color fading out as you travel up his limbs towards his torso. His hair doesn’t experience much change aside from the uptake of a purple tint to its already dark color, although he does have two sets of horns protruding from between his dreads. The first set grows up and slightly backwards in a gentle swirl, while the second set curls down around his ears much like a ram’s horns. His facial features are more defined, and his general head shape is lengthened, almost comparable to a dragon in terms of how a snout would turn out. It’s worth noting that he has two sets of eyes, one on top of the other. The upper pair are light grey, near white in color, while the lower set are wine red in color. Neither pair features a sclera or pupil – rather they are just a solid color. His jaw is lined with a canine like set of teeth, though slightly longer than one would estimate. The demon sports claws on all his extremities that are nearly 3 inches in length, and he’s rather proud of them. Another feature worth noting is that he has three tails that split only a few vertebrae away from his main body, and each is lined with spines along its top side.
Personality: For somebody who is meant to cause trouble, he isn’t a large fan of it. Well, no, he just didn’t like things interfering with his work. Cruva doesn’t like messing around and very straight to the point in both his work and in speech pattern. He’s easily irritated as he often finds he hates when things aren’t going as what he would consider ideal. He prefers to work alone and do things himself, making him rather stubborn and unresponsive to advice or tips. He’s also more on the quiet side, not quite a fan of small talk and typically only speaking when spoken to. The demon has been known to omit information that has not been specifically asked for, not out of spite (typically) but simply because it wasn’t asked for, and he isn’t the easiest to get along with due to his curt nature. That being said, he does not socialize easily with new people.
------
Kiran Lishan | 24 | Human
Appearance: Standing at 5’3” Kiran isn’t very threatening. She has a slightly tones musculature simply because she refuses to let everything be done for her and likes to go for runs when she can. Her legs are the noticeably most muscular part of her noted by the way her thighs are slightly larger than average. Her general build leaves her with broad shoulders relative to the rest of her size, and while she does have a waistline it is not especially defined as it would be in most girls of her general build. She keeps her hair short, loose dark brown curls occasionally falling into her eyes if she doesn’t have them cut soon enough. She typically keeps the back and sides short, though leave the top long as she likes to have some hair to mess with. While not extremely dark, her skin is naturally tanned, and her face and shoulders are littered with freckles. Kiran’s eyes are almond shaped and hazel in color, her nose is relatively small, and her cheekbones are high and mildly defined given the right lighting. All things considered; upon first meeting many think she’s a man. She grew up being called the kingdom’s ‘prince.’ Where most would have a problem with it, she didn’t. Rather, she likes appearing androgynous and likes to see how long it takes people to figure out she is, in fact, a woman.
Personality: Kiran is generally amicable. She’s sociable, hardly having problems starting and keeping up a conversation. It should be noted that she is explosively reactive. Outside of work, she fails to contain herself well, letting her emotions run everything about how she reacts, leaving her impulsive. Because of this, she tends to only think about her actions after the fact, however she does not completely lack the skill of thinking ahead. She just doesn’t use it as often as she should. With official matters, she has learned to keep herself calm and properly think everything through and makes logical decisions. The thing about her explosive reactions is that it isn’t necessarily a bad thing – everything just displays on her face and its either all or nothing when she reacts. Kiran likes to have fun, and in her down time will typically vanish in an attempt to find a way to amuse herself with whatever she sees fit that day. She’s loyal to her friends regardless of how close they are and has been known to be hurt more than once by the same person because she’s a firm believer in the idea of people deserving a second chance.

You're welcome! That's fair. Essays are the worst and we all hate them/not want to do them. As for where it'd start, it was either going to be Oswald/Kiran arriving at the others kingdom, or them coming to an agreement and planning a party. We didn't decide which one to go with.
Also I probably only have time for a reply or two tonight because I have class in the morning and it's late here.

(Aw man I know that feeling and it's the worse. Anyway, I'm going to head to bed. Good night and good luck.)
Oswald had an important job on his hands. Of course that job was peace talks with the kingdoms of Zaestro and Ereva. They were needed during the war, though they had agreed to a ceasefire. It was why he was in the bumpy carriage headed to a strange kingdom alone. Unfortunately he was the only one for the job as the heir and oldest in his family. His parents had to stay in Mithra to keep order within the kingdom, and the responsiblity was too great for his younger siblings. The half-orc wasn't good at talking with people, which could prove to be a problem.
Although he hoped to make a good impressions on the royals, he wasn't sure how to go about it. Pressure was mounting as his thoughts got to him. What if he messed up? What if he only made things worse? Would they even reach an agreement? He wasn't entirely sure what to think, though as they continued along their path, the thoughts only seemed to swarm more.
Oswald didn't know when they actually reached their destination. All he knew they were moving one minute and stopped in front of a grand building the next. He glanced out the window, wondering what to do. Should he get out? Would someone direct them elsewhere? They had only been there for a few minutes. The last thing the prince wanted was to make a fool of himself.

"Why have you summoned me here?"
Cruva currently found hiself staring down - very much down - at some human dressed in rather fine clothes. The room was dark and lit only by candles, but the demon could tell that it was a large personal room. He wasn't exactly happy - as a higher ranked demon, he did have a specialty, and he didn't like being interupted. Imposing wrath on mere mortals, while easy for him, was highly time consuming. Even still, he recognized the fact that he did have things to do should he be summoned, and they were typically more interesting.
The person, who was just about breaking their neck to look at him, didn't answer for a moment. "I require your services. My guards are no good and we've experienced several break-ins. I require a personal guard to be at my side for the rest of days, one who is capable and can handle any given threat. You will be loyal and heed my ever command or I'll expell you from this plane of existence." This person, male at first glance but more than likely female based on a closer inspection of general stature, seemed to know what they wanted. They also seemed to understand how to put it into words in a way that nothing would be misconstrued.
Frowning a little, the demon's tails swayed behind him with a bit of interest. "A guard? You summoned a wrath demon to be your personal guard? And how do you mean to pay?" Demons didn't accept souls as often any more. It just became less common over time as each demon found something they liked better.
"The kitchen will make whatever you so please upon request at all times."
---
This particular summon had been his last for a very long time. A demon, or any creature for that matter, was bound to their summons until the task was complete. As it stood, he was no longer able to be summoned, but his task would also go unfulfilled for the forseable future. It was interesting to say the least. It was the first summon that had required a human form. Demons created a permanent human form when it was requested they blend it. The thing was, once they stepped into that illusion, it was the visage the took on permanently whenever they switched between their natural and human form. He'd lost a foot in terms of height, a set of eyes, and he'd be lying if he said the lack of tails was odd.
At first, anyways. Over past six years he'd adjusted rather well to this human form. Only two or three people in the castle knew of his origins, however, they were bound by oath never to speak a word of it. The kingdom would surely be unhappy if their prince was found in the company of a demon. Then again, they'd also be unhappy to find that their 'prince' was actually a princess.
Currently, he stood in front of the palace doors, waiting for Mithra's prince to arrive. In talks of peace, there was to be a wonderful celebration to commemorate the end of the war. Well, Kiran had called it wonderful. He wasn't one for such events, but he was to be in attendance because she was both attending and hositng. The city was decorated with paper lanters and ribbons and such - it seemed the citizens were quite happy with this final ceasefire. 'As is expected... Althought the chaos had been quite fun...' What could he say? He was still a wrath demon.
As a carriage pulled up, Cruva eyed it a bit. Yes, that seemed like the one he was waiting for. As it drew to a hault, he approached it, silently reminding himself that they still needed the royal from Ereva, and guests from both kingdoms would begin arriving in about two hours. Once he was close enough, he only gave a vague hand gesture to the coachman to open the door. Once it was open, he did bow his head in greeting. "Welcome, Prince Oswald." The demon's voice was deep and smooth - some would even go as far as to call it soothing. Lifting his head, the heterochromatic guard stepped aside and looked at him. "Kiran is just inside awaiting your arival before the party is underway."

(I forgot to say this last night, but I also love the rp name! It's honestly really cool!)
A man was approaching th carriage. He was rather tall, likely a couple of inches tall than the prince himself. Oswald believed this was the mysterious personal guard of the prince. People say he suddenly showed up a few years ago, but people liked to tell tales. As he signled for the coachman to open the door, the prince took a deep breath to calm himself. He was going to do fine. Everything would be fine. The meeting was going to go smoothly and why shouldn't it? As long as the kingdoms came to an agreement and were civil about the decisions, they would be fine.
Eventually the door opened the Os stepped out. He glanced at the guard and he gave a slight nod. "Yes. Thank you," he mumbled. All his unease seemed to melt away and was instead replaced by a cold air around him. His belongings would be taken to his room by someone. At least he trusted that to get done. The half-orc quietly began to head up towards the palace. People were setting up for the party for later in the evening. It was a bit chaotic with staff running around and trying to get organized.
As he reached the entrance, Os paused briefly. He had no idea where he was going. He paused and stood still. If people didn't know any better they would assume he was a statue. It's only been five minutes and I'm already messing up! People began to look at him as he stood. He had to move or make himself look even more foolish. After a moment he patted down his overcoat and headed inside the palace. People were still rushing around and preparing for the party. He seemed to barely be noticed other than people staying out of his way.

(ahh thanks! I kind of messed around with it for quite a bit cause I couldn't settle on anything)
The funny thing was, everyone was right in saying he suddenly showed up some years ago. He remembered his first year was almost painfully mundane - he wasn't allowed to simply remove those in his way, typically was not allowed to harass the other guards, and was most definitely bared from taking on his more hellish form. That last one is what bothered him the most, though he found a few loopholes for that one.
As Mithra's prince exited the carriage, he made a mental note of his slight change in demeanor. It didn't affect him in the slightest, so he didn't say anything of it. Rather, he fell into step about a half pace behind him as they approached the palace doors. Visually, it was assumed that the doors of the palace were unrealistically large and ornate. The reality of the matter was there were true doors within these false doors that stood about eight feet tall and were only slightly heavier than the average door. On the way up, Cruva glanced at one of the guards just at the bottom of the stares. "Bring his things to his room."
The guard in question only nodded, taking his leave towards the carriage. Now at the door, the demon guard continued past the prince to open and hold the door. He didn't care for the other's behavior - it wasn't like he was king already, so small things like his obvious nervousness (or obvious to him - demons had a thing for negative emotions) weren't too much of a concern to him. Aside from that, the seaside prince was not his responsibility. When the other finally moved inside, he followed, hardly reacting as the door shut behind them.
"Follow me." The instruction was simple and he was sure that it would be followed. So he continued walking, through the excessively large foyer that opened up and gave way to the throne room. The ceiling was lined with glass and there were Large strips of plant life about four feet away from the walls bordering the large room, only broken up by pathways that lead to other portions of the castle. Cruva led the prince through the throne room to the ballroom, which was bustling with servants heading their princess's orders.
Karin was found working with them. Well, her guard found her, that is. Only 5'3" she was a challenge to find in such busy settings. He, however, had become very used to this. So he approached her, waving the servants surrounding her away. "Karin, your first guest has arrived."
Turning to look up at the guard as the rest her staff scurried off to carry out what she had been showing them, she smiled. "Awesome! Thank you, Cruva." She only received a nod in response as she turned to the prince, hazel eyes bright with excitement. This party had been her suggestion, and her mother had delegated the responsibility of planning to her. So far, everything was coming together just as she wanted. The ballroom and the courtyard behind the palace were nearly completely in terms of decorations, and the food preparation was underway. An hour after the party started, the three royals would join on the balcony and declare the official end of war times between them. Until then, she would get to enjoy the party, and then she'd get to enjoy it after as well.
Focusing a little better on Oswald, she bowed her head slightly, grinning. "Welcome to Zaestro! I'm glad you could make it - tonight is going to go well," she promised. The thing about her was that nothing gave away her true gender. Even her current appearance, which consisted of casual attire that was mildly revealing to accommodate for the heat during the day, was typical of the general male populous of her kingdom. That, and she had a more alto voice, leaving her generally unidentified unless one asked.

(That's happened to me. Either you can't think of a good name, there are too many ideas that fit, or none of the names work. For me it's usually the last one.)
Oswald was aware of the guard's presence as they headed into the palace. He dipped his head in acknowledgement as the guard opened the door and quietly made his way through and into the chaos. The prince was frozen for a moment, unsure about what to do next. He calmly glanced at the guard before returning his gaze to the palace, as though he was studying his surroundings. Although he didn't show it, relief washed over the prince as the man lead the way. He took a quick look behind as the doors closed. They were huge and ornate. It wasn't surprings considering what he had seen in the palace so far.
Through the crowd of people, Oswald kept his eyes fixed on the guard ahead. He wasn't concerned with losing sight of him, the man was rather noticable due to his height and how he dressed. It wasn't too different from the other palace guards, but there were a few things that set his uniform apart.
Eventually the pair reached the throne room. The Mithra prince looked around in amazement. The stoic facade he put on melted away into wonderment. Huge windows covered the ceiling, letting the bright sunlight filter through into the grand room. Plants, most of which Oswald had never seen before, lined the walls giving the room a sense of life. After a moment, the prince recollected himself and continued to follow the guard through the palace. From the throne room, they headed into the ballroom, which was crowded with people preparing for the night's party.
The prince of Zaestro was working with some servants when the pair reached him. He was surprisingly short for a man, though the prince wasn't that stumped by it. Oswald had heard the Zaestro royal family was rather short, he just wasn't entirely sure what he was expecting. Cruva- the guard who had been leading him around -stepped aside and let his prince and Oswald speak. The half-orc was slightly taken aback by the Kiran's energy. He hadn't expected the other prince to be so loud, though wouldn't let that stump him. He wasn't going to mess things up just because someone was more outgoing than him.
Everything appeared to be coming together in the ballroom nicely. He was impressed by the work the prince and staff had put into the decor. There was clearly care and thought in everything they did. He was impressed, though didn't really show it. His attention was turned away from the fray ahead and towards the Zaestro royal.
"Yes. Hello, Prince Kiran. You've done a lovely job here, I'm impressed with your work." He paused for a moment, slightly amused by Kiran's positivity. "Tonight will likely go well. I don't see why it wouldn't." Oswald nodded and appeared calm, though scolded himself. You might as well have said tonight may go terribly and this was all a mistake! Nice going.

(Yeppp I'm usually also stuck at the last one, which is partially why making the thread took me so long cause I didn't wanna post it with like a dumb title lmao)
Cruva felt the relief, in a way. Not in the way he knew it was relief, but in the way that the feeling of nervousness fled the air around them. Hm. Very interesting. Still, he made no moves to recognize it as he navigated through the palace with the prince in tow. He'd only paused very briefly in the throne room when he realized he'd been walking alone for a moment. Admittedly, he wasn't surprised. The demon himself had been rather impressed with the throne room upon first sight of it. Soon enough they were in the ballroom, and he essentially dismissed himself as soon as his summoner thanked him. He didn't go too far, just out of sight. He'd wait a few minutes before heading outside once more to receive the third royal should they show up. He'd noticed at the last meeting when a cease fire was declared that they seemed... Well, unhappy to say the least.
The princess, on the other hand, was having a wonderful time. Not thinking twice when the demon vanished from her side, Kiran kept her focus on the man before her. Like her guard, he was very noticeably taller than her. Still, these sorts of things never bothered her in the slightest. As he spoke up, she couldn't help the michevious grin that graced her features when he referred to her as 'prince', though focused on how he commented on the work done so far, she found herself grinning from ear to ear. "Thanks - It's the first large event I've been left to plan alone, so I'm really happy you think so." She was honest about these things, as she preferred to know when she needed to improve on something. As for general honesty, it wasn't her fault if people made assumptions, right?
Then again, for the sake of good relations it may be better to just come out and correct him. But where was the fun in that? Surely the price before her would figure it out on his own. "I'm glad you think so too - hopefully there's a good turn out, I'd hate for the kitchen's food to go to waste." Not that it would, Cruva would likely take care of that. But still, it was a chance to show off her land's unique food choices. "While we wait for Ereva's royal arrival, I'll show you to your room."
Turning, she waved in indication for him to follow as she lead the way out of the ballroom. She gave a few passing orders to her servants as she passed. Going down a hall that lead away from the ballroom, it wasn't long before they were heading upstairs. "I took the liberty of preparing gifts - they aren't much but hopefully they should be sitting on the bed along with your things. I just really wanted to make sure you felt welcome here 'cause I know things have been... well, rough." She'd had her tailors prepare Zaestrin clothing options for each royal guest. Partially because she knew how harsh the weather could be, but mostly because it was her way of showing that they were welcome whenever they so pleased. The clothes she had prepared were about as ornate as the doors, glittering with golden threads and small crystals as accents. On of the clothes was an arm cuff made of bronze, engraved with swirling patterns surrounding a single obsidian stone embedded into the metal. The stone was the kingdom's signal of good will, protection, and good relations.
It wasn't long before they reached their destination, and she stopped just besides the door, figuring it best for him to open. She also just wanted to gauge his reaction to what she'd had prepared.

(Haha that makes sense and that's fine. A fun rp needs to have a good title.)
The prince smiled and seemed to find something amusing. Was it something I said? Oswald wondered. The half-orc tugged on his shirt collar, wondering what Kiran found humorous and if he missed something. He didn't want to come off as cold or rude. The other prince speaking again pulled Os from his thoughts. "You're welcome. If you hadn't told me it was your first time setting something like this up, I wouldn't have known." He paused for a moment to let Kiran continue. "And of course I'm interested in trying the cuisine from Zaestro." With Mithra being a seaside kingdom, Os' diet mostly consisted of seafood. Countless types of fish, shrimp, oysters, and crab daily. He loved seafood but trying something different was exciting.
"Oh alright." He hadn't expected to be personally shown his room by the Zaestro royal, though he supposed it made sense from a hospitality standpoint. It would show other nations that the Zaestrins cared, which he appreciated. Oswald followed the other man through the maze of halls. As he stayed in the kingdom, he would learn how to navigate through the palace eventually. As they headed to the next floor, the Kiran mentioned gifts.
"Ah that was very kind of you. Thank you. I have also brought gifts from my nation. I can have them sent to the other rooms if you like. Or I can give them away after the party." He was flexible with whatever the prince wanted to do. He lightly, but awkwardly chuckled at Kiran's last comment. "Yeah rough. Things shouldn't remain that way after tonight." Hopefully, he added silently. The pair finally reached Oswald's room. The other man gestered for Os to head in first. The half-orc respectfully dipped his head before heading in. The room was bigger than what he was used to. A lot bigger. However he was amazed by what he saw. The room was just as extravagant as the rest of the palace. His belongings were already in the room, nearly set aside. He quietly nodded, then glanced towards Kiran.

The woman sat alone with her warm drink in the tavern. Patrons were lively and jovial, sharing stories and generally having a good time despite how early it was. She sat alone, waiting for someone as she took a sip from her ale. She took a quick glance towards the door as someone entered. It wasn't her contact. She was waiting for a man who worked at the Zaestro palace. He had some supplies she needed for her heist during the party that night. She eagerly awaited his arrival, wanting to get to the palace soon so she could scout ahead.
A half hour passed. Kell took another sip of her drink. People came and went, there was still no sign of her contact. She continued to sit alone and in silence. After a moment, she noticed someone approching her table. Dressed in a cloak and keeping their head down, she grew suspicious. When the figure finally sat beside her, she eyed them for a moment.
"Can I help you?" She asked flatly.
"It's me, Kell. Remember, Breeze?" A smile of familiarity grew on the woman's face.
"Ah right. It's better that the last time we met, but you look too suspicious now. Try and be more relaxed." Kell lightly slapped the man on the back before quietly pulling out a large bag of coins. The man reached for the bag, but she stopped him.
"Have what I need?" A sigh came from the servant as he showed her a satchel. Taking a quick look around, he opened the bag and showed her what was inside. A set of clothing the staff would wear and a map of the palace. Satisfied with what she was brought, Kell let the man take the bag. With their trade done, the man hid the coins and began to scurry away. Kell casually took a quick look through the crowd. It appeared no one had saw what happened or were too drunk to care. Kell waited until the man was out of sight before she slowly got up. She didn't bother finishing her drink, wanting to keep her mind sharp fro the night. The party wasn't supposed to start for a few hours, however the theif wanted to scout out the palace before then. She would blend right in with the serving staff and could pass through fairly easily with everyone rushing around. With the bag in hand, Kell began to make the journey towards the palace.

Kiran didn't mean to make him feel self-conscious, she was just dwelling on the assumption while she decided what to do in terms of telling him or letting him find out on his own. While she contemplated this, she listened to him as he spoke. Wouldn't have known? How could he not? The staff was disorganized and running around like a Cerberus missing one of it's heads. Still, she couldn't help but be comforted by this statement. At the comment about the food, she beamed a bit. "I hope you like it. I tried to ensure the kitchen prepared a variety of dishes so that everyone would have something they liked."
As the traveled, the princess registered his mention of gifts and she grinned. "Really? You didn't have to! I am excited to see what you've brought, though..." she trailed off, letting her mind wander to what it could be. Perhaps weapons local to them? Cruva would love that. Or maybe he thought of clothing as well? That would be amazing - she did appreciate the armor and clothing designs. Eager to know, she decided having them brought to the rooms would be better, if only because she just couldn't wait. "I'll call Cruva - it'll be like a double surprise for Ereva's royal. And I'm slightly impatient." She giggled out the last statement, knowing herself a bit too well.
While he took in the room, Kiran found herself grinning. "Please enjoy the gifts - you don't need to change, but I hope you'll enjoy and wear the armband. It's our signification of peace and protection." With this said, she leaned out of the door into the hall. "Cruva!" The shout was clear and commanding. The demon in question materialized at the end of the hall to avoid the possibility of Oswald seeing his preferred method of travel. She grinned a little a
"What is it?"
"Oswald has brought gifts for myself and Ereva's party. I want them brought to the respective rooms by somebody who isn't busy. Grab one of the new guards - I don't want them guarding outside tonight, I want them inside."
Nodding, the demon leaned down to whisper in her ear. "The tailor's are missing a uniform and the kitchen is down a server." All head staff reported to him when things were out of order. The actual captain of the guard was nowhere near as capable as himself for many reasons. The main reason being that he had no problems changing position quickly to survey an area. Still, his energy reserves were limited just like anybody else, and without taking his natural form he tired out faster than usual.
Frowning, her eyebrows furrowed. Missing server? She distinctly remembered ordering them to remain within castle grounds. "Take care of it should something come up. Discretely, please." Kiran couldn't have anything disturbing the party, not at this crucial time. It was imperative that everything went as planned. The royal was met with a nod as her guard stood straight once more and continued on his way. Sighing, she attempted to regain her composure as she stepped back into the room. Within a few moments, one of the new guards was just outside the door looking nervous as all hell. Turning, Kiran smiled a little. "I want you to take the gifts Oswald was kind of enough to mind and the other royal guest room."
------
As Cruva left the two in the royal guest room, he made quick work of getting downstairs. Rounding up the new guards wasn't hard, and delivered orders with ease. It was easier than the rest of the guard because they were terrified of him, a feeling that he quite adored. Afterward, he made his way into the kitchen, simply making rounds in an attempt to identify who was missing. He had a decent memory of all staff in the palace, however, he knew the kitchen staff by name. simply due to how the royal was compensating his summons. It didn't take him long to figure out who was missing, however, it wasn't the main concern. The main concern was the possible threat to Kiran
(ohhh what if like Cruva becomes aware of the fire as it starts cause like. Wrath demon senses actions driven by wrath, and then soon it becomes visible from the palace?)

(How did your essay go by the way?)
"I'm always up with trying something new," he replied evenly. "I love seafood, but it can get boring after a while." Boring wasn't the right word, but he hoped it got his point across. Despite his quiet, calm nature he was rather adventurous and curious when it came to food from other kingdoms. He was interested in what they had to offer and looked forward to trying some new things at the party tonight. Although he didn't show it, the half-orc prince was growing excited for the event in the evening.
Os was slightly put off by the prince's energy and excitment. He didn't let it show however as he offered a small smile. "I thought it would be considerate to bring something, especially because you agreed to host the event. I hope you enjoy the gift." He his gifts were specially made for the event. It was quite important and he wanted to show off some of the crafts his kingdom had to offer. He hadn't notice Kiran trail off. By the time he spoke again, his attention was turned back to the other prince. He smiled at the other man's comment. "I understand. I'll get them out after I get into my room. I'm also sure the Ereva representative will enjoy having a bigger surprise as well." He at least hoped that was the case. He hadn't talked with them as much and the Ereva family seemed somewhat reclusive. Of course it made sense because the three kingdoms were in a ceasefire. Thing would be awkward and uneasy for a while.
Oswald headed further into the room and noticed the clothing on the bed. Golden accents decorated the fine cloth. A brozne arm cuff with a glistening piece of obsidian and a lovely swirling design caught his attention. He carefully held up the piece and took a closer look at it, impressed. "Wow, this us amazing," he breathed. Oswald admired the clothing for a moment. It was truly a piece of art. He wasn't used to wearing something so ornate and decorative. The clothing in Mirtha tended to be flowy and brightly colored. Sometimes there would be simple patterns, but they were usually solid colored.
He sheepishly glanced towards Kiran and the crate that held his gifts. They weren't nearly as complex, but he hoped the Zaestro royal would sti enjoy it. The greenish half-orc opened up a crate. At the top were three dark-colored, small boxes. One for him and the other two for his soon-to-be offical allies. Inside they held ornate necklaces made from sea glass, shells, and a single blue pearl all on a silver chain. It was a sign of friendship and peace for the Mithrans. He placed two of the boxes on the bed and handed the other one to the prince as he spoke.
"Yes I appreciate the gift. It's quite lovely. I will certainly wear the armband tonight during the party." He paused for a moment as Kiran called over his guard. He hadn't noticed him following them despite his size. He was impressed by Cruva's stealthiness and could see why he was hired as a personal guard. As he entered the room, Oswald repscetfully dipped his head in acknowledgement towards the newcomer. As the other prince spoke, the half-orc awkwardly grabbed one of the boxes and held it out for the guard to take. He silently watched the pair curiously as they spoke in whispers. He looked away if they wanted him to know, they would tell him. Although he found the whispering slightly odd, he understood that not everything had to be known by everyone. There could be plenty of valid reasons for the secrecy. He just hoped every th ing was going smoothly.

Kell arrived at the palace with ease. She had been around the area before and even on the castle grounds. Despite seeing the grand building before, she couldn't help but still be in awe of it. Today though she had no time to admire what she saw. She had a mission to do and she would get it done. Carefully she snuck past any guards who were keeping an eye on the outside. Thankfully they were distracted with the party and likely wouldn't notice her head in.
It took a few minutes, but the theif was able to slip past the guards and make her way into the palace. People were too busy to really pay attention to what she was doing. With the satchel in hand, Kell began to make her way towards the kitchen. Unfortunately she only had a server's uniform. She hoped people either wouldn't pay attention to her or buy the story she had planned.

(I got it done! It's not my best but I got it done!)
He understood the sentiment of the food growing boring. She did, at times, desire something foreign. In these times, however, she at least had her guard to turn to. It seemed he liked a plethora of things she had heard of. Then again, she also didn't ask the ingredients of these dishes and had no intention of doing so anytime soon. She preferred that he keep his secrets in that aspect.
Conversation turning back to the gifts, she brightened up a bit. She was sure she would enjoy whatever he had brought along with him. Honestly, she hadn't been expecting to receive anything at all, so she was just happy in general. "I'm sure I'll enjoy whatever you brought along," she assured Oswald. She wasn't genuinely worried about when she received it, but she just really wanted to know what it was. Still, the princess wanted to see his reaction to what she had to present first - if it wasn't up to par she'd have something made to order. In all honesty, she wasn't the type that liked to disappoint somebody, so she'd have something constructed that he would surely like.
As he mentioned the Erevan party, she couldn't help but frown a little. Kiran hadn't heard anything from them, nor had her mother. It was concerning considering they were to officially declare peace tonight, though she hoped that it was just a mishap. Maybe a lost hawk or courier. Yes, surely that was the problem. Pulled from her thoughts by a verbal reaction, the Zaestrin woman found herself grinning from ear to ear. "I'm glad you like it! I was a little worried that it was too much." For a moment, relief washed over her face, though it was quickly replaced with curiosity as he opened a crate. Oh, were the gifts in there? Hopefully, they were, then she wouldn't have to wait until she was in her room to see it.
Her suspicions were confirmed as he pulled out three small boxes. Grin widening, she was nearly bouncing in anticipation. Though, she was interrupted by her favorite guard's arrival. His stay had been short, and he left with one of the small boxes to be delivered to the other guest room. When he was gone, she looked at Oswald, hazel eyes apologetic. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt us. There seems to have been a mishap in the kitchen - nothing he can't handle." Heaving a slight sigh, she rolled her shoulders. "It's nothing detrimental, though, so everything will be fine."
-------
The demon made quick work of delivering the little box. Not too soon after he'd delivered orders to the new guards, determined who was missing from the team of servers, and had started around outside. As he reached the front of the palace, he took note of the door closing. But there was no carriage, so it wasn't the last royal guest. Either the guards let somebody slip past, or that poor excuse of a server was stupid enough to come back without expecting punishment. Raising an eyebrow, he made his way in through the front doors, scanning the foyer as he walked. There was something here that wasn't meant to be. An ill intention, if you would. Something he would typically feed off of, however, it interfered with his summons.
After six years he was still mildly irritated that he couldn't act in his typical demonic manner. Still, Cruva continued inside, following a servant's typical path to the kitchen. From the opposite side of the room, red and light grey eyes caught sight of a face he hadn't seen during his last round. He made quick work of approaching the possible stranger, eyes unamused and demeanor promising a violent reaction should things go wrong. If they were smart, they'd stick around to have a little talk with him. After all, he'd only need a better look at their face to know if they worked in the kitchen and to gauge how what sort of intentions they had. At least he still had some of his natural perks - keeping up a human facade was too hard in his opinion. These were skills that he didn't need to do anything outwardly to use.

(That's good to hear! Also I literally forgot to answer your last question. Anyway I would be perfectly okay with that. It would be really fun if he could sense the fires before they started.)
The half-orc prince softly smiled in response, but didn't say anything more. He appreciated Kiran's reassurance and found himself rather liking the prince. It somewhat surprised him considering how much louder the other man was than him. However Kiran was quite warm, friendly, and welcoming. Beyond that he was optimistic about the current affairs between the kingdoms. It certainly helped put Oswald in a better mood and made him more comfortable around the other prince.
Os noticed a frown on the prince's face appear briefly. He was likely worried about the Ereva party, which made sense. They hadn't arrived yet and it was getting late. What if they didn't show up? Would the peace agreement still be useful without them? Did this already fail before it began? Thoughts began to swarm through his head and he was starting to worry once again. As the unease mounted on his shoulders, Oswald knew he couldn't keep these thoughts to himself. "What if...What if the Erevas don't show up?" He hoped he didn't get Kiran worried or nervous, but it was something they would have to talk about. His attention was temporarily pulled away from the missing party as the Zaestro prince spoke again.
"I don't believe it's too much. I think it perfectly represents your kingdom." It was as decortive and stunning as everything he had seen so far. He hoped his gift would give the same impression to the other prince.
When Oswald approched after pulling out the boxes, he noticed Kiran's smile widen with excitement. He couldn't help but give a small grin himself. He quietly waited as Cruva and Kiran finished up their conversation. After the guard left and the prince apologized, Oswald shrugged. "No need to apologize. That's an important situation to be wary of. But if you say everything is fine, then everything is fine." He trusted Kiran's judgement and if believed there wasn't a problem, he was inclined to agree.

With some time on her hands, Kell began to wander through the huge palace, lost in the massive building. At least she made it look that way. She was trying to find her target and if she appeared like she didn't know what she was doing, then she wouldn't raise suspicion. Unfortunately it didn't seem to work because she caught sight of a guard walking towards her. Kell kept calm. She knew how to handle the situation.
She played with the blue pendant on her neck uneasily. It could be seen as a sign of suspicion or, and the one she was hoping for, on of unease for someone's first day. As the guard got closer, she visibly shrank back some like a child ready to be scolded. He was quite taller, taller than she was, and carried himself with confidence. Clearly he was either important or thought of himself as important. She wasn't entirely sure which one it was yet. The first thing she noticed about him, beyond his gait and height, was his eyes. One was a deep red. The other appeared white but clearly became light gray as he got closer. He wasn't human. At least he wasn't fully human. She didn't know what the guard was, but now wasn't the time for speculation.

(alright cool! I didn't want to do it without like you being okay with it - also, I'm going to add relevant species from my species list to the first post just so it's easier to reference their abilities - For now, I'm only going to add demons cause ya boi Cruva)
It seemed they were on the same train of thought. As the prince voiced her worries, Kiran couldn't help the way her eyebrows furrowed a little. It was quickly becoming a possibility. If her estimation was correct, they had twenty minutes before general guests were meant to start showing up, meaning the party would be underway. There was no word from any of her guards about another carriage arriving with the third royal party. If they didn't show, it made declaring peace across three lands much harder. If the royal didn't show, who was to say citizens of Ereva would show? "I'll... I'll figure something out if they don't show. I'll go there myself if I have too." She wouldn't dare concern her mother with this - this was something she'd been trusted with, so she would handle it.
Back on the idea of gifts, the concern fled the freckled woman's body and was replaced with glee. She was happy to hear that it seemed to be a good representation of her kingdom. Gold accents were just something they did well, and they loved their rocks and crystals. It was nice to stand out from the matte colors of the sand that surrounded the largest oasis, and while the oasis was bright with botanicals and greenery, she still loved the glitter of gold.
She was relieved that he accepted, well more so dismissed, her apology. Tonight had to be absolutely perfect if things were to go well, and this small thing that could so easily become a threat was not something that fit into her night. She bowed her head smiling. "Thank you for understanding." Again her attention was drawn to the dark box. Once offered, she took it and opened it gently, hazel eyes lighting up in wonder. "This is absolutely gorgeous! I'll wear it proudly - thank you so much."
------
The personal guard was an interesting man. Physically, he didn't look like much of a threat. Sure, he was tall, but he wasn't overly muscular and his facial features were rather gentle. The reason people were afraid of him was because of the air he put off. He knew his strength, he knew exactly what he was capable of, and he carried himself as such. Those who didn't recognize his aura learned the hard way that he was a force to be reckoned with, and he took great joy in ensuring they knew not to mess with him again.
He watched as the new face messed with the pendant on her neck, easily recognizing the nervous energy she was putting off. If he wanted to be cruel, he'd alter her emotions, play up the nervousness. Kiran, however, would be very disappointed in him, especially since he didn't have enough to prove this person didn't belong. Instead, he focused on how she shrank back as he grew closer. Smart choice on her part, really.
Stopping about a foot away from her, Cruva assessed her. There was something about her... Not quite human, though an untapped potential. On top of it, he could feel her intentions dripping from her person. He quickly came to the conclusion that she was a threat, though he couldn't tell how much of a threat. Not at the moment. Even still, he felt as though it was something he could handle with ease. "You seem out of place." He commented flatly. He definitely didn't recognize her face, and she was dressed in a server's uniform. An intruder, then. "I'll make myself clear - if I catch you out of line, I'll have your heart on a platter." He leaned down a bit to meet her at eye level, a grin creeping across his features. The grin was far from joyous; rather, it was dangerous, a promise that he would take joy in the prospect of inflicting pain. "I'll take great pleasure in ripping it out myself. Do we have an understanding?"

(I appreciate that, thanks for checking. And that's good to me! It keeps things updated.)
Oswald probably just made Kira more uneasy. Guilt pricked at his chest as he watched the other prince drowned further. By suggesting the other kingdom wouldn't show up, didn't help anything. Despite the concerns rising, Kiran seemed confident. Oswald liked the prince's confidence and found himself impressed by the plan he had. The Mithra prince smiled. "Then you shouldn't have to go alone. I'll go with you if it comes to that." They all had an agreement to the peace. If Kiran was going to take care of them, Oswald would follow him. It was only right after everything he had already done. Beyond that, it would be a sign of their peace.
The half-orc beamed at Kiran's joy towards his gift. He had done well it seemed judging by the Zaestro prince's reaction. "I'm glad you enjoy it, Prince Kiran. I'll wear mine tonight as well. It will be a good way to symbolize our new unity." Perhaps a good way wasn't how they should describe it. Ultimately the exact words didn't matter as it would show that the royals were on good terms with each other.
"The party is to start soon, no? Shall we go ahead and get ready?" He paused for a moment. There was still a concern about the Ereva party. "Perhaps we should send some people out to check on the party. Mybe they got held up or will be late for some reason." He felt a pit in his stomach. He hoped that was the case with the last kingdom. If not...well he didn't want to consider what it meant.
-0-
The man was confident, so Kell had to come off as weak, scared, and nervous. It would make the guard feel like he had the advantage. The theif wasn't fond of looking weak, however it would help her avoid getting caught. Beyond that, the weaker she seemed, the less of a threat she would be seen as. Right now that was she needed by the looks of the guard currently approching her.
Eventually the man came to a stop in front of her. He was close enough for the theif to touch him if she wanted. Of course that would be extremely unwise. He looked like he wouldn't hesitate to break her hand if she did that. After a moment of silence, the guard finally spoke up. He knew she didn't belong. That was concerning, though Kell didn't react to it. She kept calm. The man continued to speak, seeming to grow menacing with his every word. The thief put her hand over her chest at his threat. It was involuntary, even surprising her. Of course that was because he meant it. Genuine unease grew in her chest as the guard leaned forward to meet her blue eyes. Then he began to grin a twisted grin. It wasn't something a joyful person would have. It was meant to be threatening, to make Kell fear him. Unfortunately she could feel it working to a degree.
"Of-Of course. I'm-I'm-I'm sorry if I've done anything wrong, I'm hel-helping a fri...friend." Kell purposefully stuttered over her words. It would further make her seem like a non-threat and hopefully get the guard off her tail. She was calm and lied with ease. She believed the lie. It was one if the first things she learned to do to be a successful thief. If you believed the lie then everybody would believe it. Kell glanced at the man occasioanlly to gage his reaction. It would help keep up her nervous facade and she could study him without coming off as suspicious.

(yeah boi no problem. Also! when did you want the fire to start? Like when they're addressing the crowd or earlier/later than that?)
The truth was, Kiran was worried about this from the start. The third kingdom's party had been rather quiet during the initial meeting, and Cruva had told her something was going on. Well, tried to tell her - she'd brushed it off much to his irritation. She was sure that they just weren't feeling well, and despite how much she trusted the demon, she genuinely wanted to believe that this would work out. 'He'll have so much fun telling me this he was right if things hit the wall...' Pulled out of her thoughts when the other spoke up, she stared at him in awe. She hadn't expected such an offer. Still, she smiled a little, nodding. "Thank you - hopefully it won't come to that but I'll be damned if we won't have peace."
She found herself staring at the necklace before gently closing the box. As Oswald spoke, she found herself nodding. "Yes, it will be." Pausing, she listened as he spoke of Ereva's royal again. He had a point - they needed to get ready and they were nowhere to be found. "Maybe... I'll send a gryphon to search for them. If they aren't here by the time we address the party-goers I'll just... Well I don't know. I'll figure it out." She'd have to. At this rate, she had very little faith that they would show but was holding out her hopes. "For now, though, let's focus on the now. I'll leave you to get ready."
With a dip of the head, the freckled royal was making her way out of the room and down the hall to her own. Worry warped her features as she watched the floor pass under her. What would she do if they didn't show? Was there anything she could do? There had to be... On the way to her room, she pulled a servant, informing her that two gryphons where to be sent to the mountainous kingdom immediately. She nodded, scurrying in the opposite direction.
------
The demon liked to think he existed rather well. He did good work, and loyal to a fault, and had seemed to grasp a better understanding of human emotions. Or, well, emotions in general. It made him more effective when manipulating other's emotions. That, and it gave him some insight on how he was meant to react to things. He'd been told many times by his summoner that he needed to mind his reactions to things because demons hardly reacted the same ways. She had been right, and his solution to the problem had been to stop reacting in general. Kiran had accepted this much from him, as he wasn't very prone to change.
It was why he still reacted this way to threats. It seemed his behavior was acceptable at times like these, and it tended to get the job done without bloodshed, which the princess preferred. So here he stood, now eye level with a stranger in the castle. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, as the foyer and the courtyard was typically open to the public. The nature of this event and the clearly stolen uniform, however, indicated problems to him. The main problem being a traitorous servant and a thief or assasin - he hadn't come to a conclusion on the second one yet. As the stranger laid her hand on her chest, the malicious glint in his eye only became more apparent. Good, that meant she understood he was serious. As much as he hated to admit it, his siblings had been right. Human hearts were quite the treat.
As she stuttered through some poor excuse, Cruva raised an eyebrow, though his grin only grew, showing off his slightly elongated canines on both his upper and lower jaw. Another aspect he hadn't been able to totally fix when creating this human visage... Well, it was only noticeable when he grinned like this, which didn't happen often. "Friend... Right, your friend. I hope you didn't value him - he'll be tried for treason." It wasn't that he bought what he assumed was a lie, it was that he valued this information. He knew Kiran well enough to know this was true. She hadn't been exactly happy to hear that one of her servants had vanished, and with this added on, it would be a simple 'trial.' Ever since he'd appeared, those tried for treason seemed to vanish without a trace. The demon's face did finally deadpan though, and he simply stared at her for a brief moment, contemplating his next words. "I don't care what you're here for - Princess Kiran is the only reason you're still breathing. I'd suggest making yourself scarce." His words were final, and he straightened up without waiting for a response. Without sparing another glance, he walked passed Kell, leaving the room without hesitation.
For him, this would turn into one of his rare hunts should anything go wrong. For her? Well, maybe it would be more like a survival game if she couldn't reach that untapped potential.

(For drama/irony I think it should be during the speech(es) or just after. Oh look all the kingdoms are at peace! Things immediately start to get burned.)
The prince offered a warm smile. "Of course. We agreed to a peace and we're so close to achieving it, I don't want it to fail," he replied with a slightly smile. Even if Ereva doesn't show up, at least there's peace between Zaestro and Mithra, he thought. "I'll be by your side," he continued, "I want to see this peace through." He wanted the peace to work just as much as the other prince and was willing to support Kiran in his decisions.
As the Zaestro royal continued to stare at the necklace, Oswald found himself smiling. He seemed to really like the gift, which made the half-orc happy. The man glanced at Kiran as he spoke again. "Sending a gryphon is a good idea. They're fast and will reach the kingdom quickly. And if we have no word for them by the time we make our formal announcements well, we'll figure it out together." Oswald would be by the other prince's side through this and he wanted the prince to know. Despite having only talked to Kiran for a short time, Oswald found himself growing increasingly comfortable in his presence. Perhaps it was due to his friendliness or maybe the peace talks had something to do with it. The half-orc wasn't entirely sure.
"Right. I'll see you at the party," he quietly responded. After Kiran left, he closed the door to his room and began to pull out his nicer clothing.

Kell now knew two things about the guard. One, she hated him and would love to make him look like a fool. And two, she might have a little problem on her hands. It didn't deter her, however. She was going to steal the Dagger of the Sun and escape without getting caught. But the guard didn't need to know that. She wasn't one to taunt someone if she could get hurt. And judging by how the man behaved, she wasn't about to taunt him to his face. Admittedly he freaked her out slightly and she wasn't one to be easily unnerved by someone, especially by some guard. Though something told her he was more than "some guard".
When the man's grin widened, Kell fought every nerve to glare at him. Glaring would only make things worse, unfortunately. She only found herself disliking the man more as he threatened her contact. "Right. Well he's sick and that's why I'm here," she mumbled. Of course Kell and her contact crafted it to be that way. He had no family in town and was making his way to one of the neighboring kingdoms as they spoke. He couldn't come back after helping her and she didn't want to endanger the man's life. It was a miracle she found him in the first place. Despite that, he obviously he wouldn't believe her lie. He already was suspicion of her story, she'd have to be careful for the rest of the evening.
Kell said nothing more as the guard left. She glared after him, then began to make her way towards the kitchens as soon as he was out of sight. No one else stopped her as she entered the kitchen. Other servers were already preparing to care for the guests. She more or less blended right in with everyone else despite the ill-fitting uniform. As things went underway during the party, she could change into something more fitting.
