Sighing Genocide whipped around and stalked back towards the alley. He had things to do,places to be,people to meet, and things to sell.He wasn't to let some ranger keep him out here."Try not to catch a cold."He threw over his shoulder.

Arrow glanced over his shoulder to see if there was a way out of this situation, the alley way ended with a large cobble stone wall. His gaze flicked back up tot he roof. He could not jump that nor climb that. His gaze flicked over to the half-elf then over to the others. He was stuck. Arrow sighed softly and glanced over to the half-elf again. He hoped she would understand he didn't want to be here. The young tabaxi just wanted to go some where warm and sleep.

Astra watched as the goblin began to leave. She aimed her arrow at him and opened her mouth to say something, but no words came out. He was leaving, which was one less person to worry about. However, she was left feeling annoyed and wanting to go after him. Once he disappeared into darkness, she grumbled some curses under her breath and aimed the weapon at the supposed angel. She didn't trust either stranger, though the travler she met earlier seemed more like a threat.
"What was that about? And don't try anything or you'll be dead in a heartbeat." She glared at the man as she spoke, more than willing to go through with her threat. Her green eyes flickered over to the other figure briefly. In her quick glance, she could see the second guy was a Tabaxi. She had come across a few during her patrols, though they had always left her alone. She wondered what that one was doing in the alleyway with her and the travler.

"Well now we've got ourselves a situation here then."They chuckled."I tell you, nothing stops you from killing me,and I see it in your eyes that you want to.I don't tell you and I get killed, leaving you clueless to why you killed me,making my death of cold blood. If I try to leave you kill me,I don't try anything it wastes your time, you get frustrated and leave, and I go about my business."They always knew how a situation could unfold and really only liked the one that left him with more years or more food."So why exactly should I tell you and what gives you the right to make me do anything?"
(Gonna hit the sack, gotta trip planned for tomorrow.

Arrow watched as the other person just simply left, his blue eye narrowing slightly. His gaze flicked to the traveler then over to the ranger. Seeing that they both were sort of ignoring him he sheathed his long sword. This blunder could have killed him, he should be more careful. Arrow lifted his paws showing them to the half-elf and angel. "Im not here to fight." He said simply. "I didn't mean to bother anyone." He smiled meekly.
(goodnight!)

"You sure? The weather seems like it wants to get worse. The town is a few miles away, you won't make it in any good time without a horse." Kuzey said, willing to offer the harpy shelter, but didn't trust the man to bring back one of their horses if they let him leave with one.
"Odali would have to help out around the farm as well then. She could help our grandfather inside if she doesn't want to do farm chores." Aiman said, turning to Odali. "You seem like a creative person, you could help making patterned fabrics and blankets, we make a few sometimes to sell for extra coin along with our usual produce."
The overhang of the alleyway beside the tavern wall wasn't enough to stop the onslaught of rain that broke out over the town from soaking Naz's plumage. She felt cold to the bone and her lack of food made it worse. 'Feels like I might as well be a defeathered chicken...' she thought. She snuck across into the stables, and found an empty stall to sleep in.

"Perhaps," Odali answered with a shrug. Truthfully making blankets or fabrics sounded boring to her. She never really liked sewing despite being fairly good at it, at least according to her parents. It was Abir's turn to nudge his sister with his elbow while she raised her brow.
"I'm sure we can find a job for her at the farm. If not, we're fine with staying in town too," the paladin answered with a smile. The wizard rolled her eyes, but said nothing as she finished her stew. Suddenly, she got up and began to head towards the exit.
"I'm going to check on the horses. I'll be right back." Before Abir could protest, the hazel-eyed wizard slipped out into the stormy night and began to head towards the stables. She quickly reached the wooden building and quietly entered in. Stablehands were hard at work tending to the animals. Feeding them, brushing them, or watering them. Odali found her and Abir's horses. Thunderbreaker was her brother's steed, a huge champange-colored mare who was perfect for a paladin. In the stall next to her was Odali's own silver mare. The wizard smiled and patted Storm's side.
"Thank you," she said to the stablehands with a smile. She gave them each a couple of coins for caring for the horses. -0- The ranger eyed the angel as they spoke. Their words were laced with confidence and arrogance. Unfortunately he had a point. Gritting her teeth, Astra eventually lowered her bow. She was ready to use it if it were needed, but at that point she doubted that would be the case.
"Alright then. I suppose you bring up a fair point. However you come into my forest, ask for my help, and then act extremely shady. Forgive me if I just get a little suspicious," she sarcastically snapped. Astra watched the black Tabaxi sheathed his sword and raise his paws. He was nervous and obviously uneasy. For a moment she turned to the blue-eyed stranger and addressed him.
"What's your story? Why are you here?" He obviously wasn't any type of guard. His clothing didn't match the normal garments she seen them wear. He looked like a commaner, but one wouldn't be sneaking around and hiding on a chilly night during a storm.
(Good night and sleep well. Also have a fun trip!)

Aiman furrowed her brow, hoping she'd said nothing to offend the wizard as Odali got up and left. She looked to Abir with a questioning gaze, wondering if he knew anything.
Naz recognized the wizard's voice again in the stable, and she forced herself the stand up again after laying in the hay. She peeked over the stall door trying to catch sight of Odali.

Rook thought, then with a soft sigh nodded. "I suppose your right. I cant trade any of my wares if i'm sick or possibly dead." Rook chuckled softly. "Thank you." He added softly. Rook was glad this farmer was letting him stay, he would have gotten a nasty cold if he decided to walk to the next town. Rook held out one of his wing/arm. "Im Rook Milo." He said softly.
-
Arrow stood there a bit awkwardly for a second, he wasn't sure if he should tell a ranger he followed her. "I-i uhh heard some yelling and i was curious so i came to check it out and kind of slipped and fell." He gave a nervous chuckle. At least he told some of the truth. Arrow put his paws down and tucked them into his pockets. Arrow sucked at lying.

"You must not sell very large wares." Kuzey said, noting to Rook's pack. He couldn't imagine there was a lot to sell that could fit into one bag. Kuzey stepped away into the centre of the house, where the elderly man was still cooking dinner over the hearth-fire. "I'm Kuzey... Aibekuulu." He said, like he wasn't used to saying his last name. "That's my grandfather." he gestured to the old man, who didn't look up from where he was stirring a pot.

"Don't worry about her reaction. Ods wasn't offend," Abir began. "She's the type of person who wants to help people but feels like she can do more with her powers. Does that make sense?" The paladin paused for a moment and paled slightly.
"That isn't to say making blankets or fabrics isn't worth helping out with. We all have things to do after all. However she wants to do big things with her magic to make a big impact." The man hoped he explained things well, but couldn't help but feel like he made the situation more confusing. -0- Odali began to exit the stable, however something caught her eye. She quickly turned and narrowed her eyes. The griffon from earlier? She thought curiously. After checking around to make sure no one was watching, the wizard began to head over to the stall. -0- Astra narrowed her eyes, but only nodded. She wasn't sure if that was the complete truth, however she didn't entirely care. The ranger kept one eye on the Tabaxi as she turned her attention back towards the travler.

"Her powers? So she is some kind of sorceress?" Aiman asked. Her brow furrowed further when he paled. "Are you alright?" She asked. She didn't really take note of what he said about the fabrics.
Naz ducked behind the stall door again, and rustled through the hay on the other side as the wizard got closer. Her feathers blended in with the hay, but she didn't hide very well. She hoped the strange woman would pass by without noticing her, but she doubted it.

"You creatures are very strange."Natrye stated, his sword dissipating."Always trying to help, drawn to the suffering of others."They felt some explanation would be needed if they were to continue here, not wanting to be branded as a guy that ran around attacking people."I'd be wry of that goblin if I were you.His name's Genocide;and for a good reason too.Everywhere he goes he kills anyone who didn't trade or buy from him."

"Yeah she's a wizard like our parents. The magic ability skipped me, but I was able to train with my aunt instead." Abir smiled for a moment, memories dancing in his head from time he spent with Aunt Rose and her party.
Abir was relieved when she didn't say anything about his comment. He likely didn't offend her. "Yeah I'm okay. I just didn't want to come across as rude." -0- Odali watched the figure briefly before it disappeared behind the stall in a blur. She tilted her head in curiosity and entered the are. None of the stablehands seemed to notice her as she glanced around.
A pile of hay sat towards the back of the stall. The wizard didn't notice anything strange about my at first. As she entered through the door, cream feathers became more obvious and she soon saw the figure of the griffon from earlier. Odali leaned down and smiled warmly.
"Don't worry, I'm not here to hurt you," she said softly. -0- Astra narrowed her eyes towards the travler, but didn't say anything for a moment as the man spoke. She lowered her bow further when the stranger put away their weapon. How she was still ready to strike if the time came.
"If he's so dangerous, why not report him?" The ranger inquired. She didn't care for the guard, however if there was someone out there who could stop this Genocide it'd likely be them.

"Because reporting him means talking to officials and that means them killing me.I don't like to be a stickler but they need evidence, and frankly I don't have any,it'd be his word against mine. And let's be real, who would believe someone who looks like me?"

The half-elf simply nodded. Yet again he had a point. He looked and acted shady, she barely believes him. If it weren't for Genocide attacking him first, she likely wouldn't believe him. Astra flickered her gaze towards the Tabaxi again. He had mostly remained quiet, which was a wise decision.
"Alright. If that's the case what if one of us were to report him?" She wouldn't bother actually doing that. The less she had to deal with the guard the better. The travler didn't know that, however.
(Yeah it's some of the longest books he's written, not counting his work on Wheel of Time. Words of Radience and Oathbringer I think are a little longer than WoK, I believe.)

Rooks nodded softly. "Its nice to meet you both." He said softly. This was weird for Rook. He usually spent most of his time by himself or making small talk to people who wanted his treasures. He had not truly stopped and spent time with others in a very long time. Rook pulled off his pack and gently placed it next to the door. He wanted it were he could see it and where he could take it in run if anything happened. These people seemed nice but just in case.

Astra rolled her eyes as she put away her bow. Cold, tired, and regretting having followed the stranger she just wanted a drink.
"Alright then. That's all over now so I don't have to see either of you again. Bye." The ranger turned away and walked back down the ally. She didn't check to see if the others were following her nor did she exactly care if that was the case. She quietly made her way towards the tavern, ready for the night to end.

The ranger clenched her fists at the nosey child comment. She fought not to stick an arrow in the guy, wanting nothing to do with them. She glanced at the Tabaxi but said nothing as she began to head back towards the tavern.

The young tabaxi watched the ranger leave. He wanted to go to the tavern and forget all of this ever happened. With a deep sigh he headed down the alley way. Before he knew it he was following the ranger. Maybe she was going to the same place he was. He wasn't sure if he should follow or cross the street to seem less creepy.

(Sorry for the late reply!)
As she headed through the street, she noticed the Tabaxi behind her. He didn't appear to be a threat, though she knew to keep an eye on him. Through the rain, Astra kept her head down and only focused on getting to the tavern for a drink. She eventually reached the building with unease and unintruppted. She paused before entering and glanced back at her follower.
"You coming in?" She asked gruffly.

Arrow nodded softly. "Yeah." He then chuckled softly. "Looks like we had the same idea." He added. His one good eye flicked to the taverns door. He hoped it wouldn't be to busy. He wasn't in the mood to to talk to people at the moment. Plus crowds unnerved him greatly.

A slight smiled danced on the half-elf's lips before quickly disappearing. She opened the door to the establishment and held it for the stranger. He seemed alright. He hadn't tried to attack her back in the ally or when they were pratically alone in the streets. It wasn't like he'd be a challenge to beat, however.
Laughter, warmth, and music came from inside the inn. It was crowded, unfortunately, though it wasn't as bad as it normally was. Astra gestered for the man to go in first. Part of it was a politeness that her father drilled into her. The other part was he wanting to get a better look at the stranger.

Arrow sighed softly when realizing the tavern was crowded. He would have turned around and left but he didnt want to seem rude to the half-elf who was holding open the door for him. He smiled softly and thanked her before padding into the tavern. He instantly felt like he stood out in this crowd. It could be that he was the only tabaxi. He sighed softly and looked over his shoulder to see if his new firend had followed him in.
