About
This roleplay follows the original four Clans through the events of The New Prophecy arc- sort of. It begins roughly where Midnight begins, with the only major difference being that the prophecy about the sun-drown place never occurs, as in this version of events, the forest is not destroyed. Instead, the Clan cats are free to continue living their lives in their ancestral home, hindered only by the usual challenges, and guided by the prophecies that came before- the prophecy of the Three, for example.
A thing to note about this version of events is that is is NOT meant to simply follow the same arcs, relationships, and events of the canon series, but in the forest. Instead, it is truly meant to be an exploration of how things had been different if, well, they had not have changed. So events that occured predominantly because of the desctruction and the journey- for example, the death of many ThunderClan apprentices, or Leafpool & Crowfeather's relationship- may happen very differently or not at all. That's not to say you should go entirely off the rails; things should still happen in a fairly realistic manner and in accordance with the characters' personalities, just like in any other roleplay. However, I would encourage you to do less expected things with the characters, instead of just following the same (or a very similar) arc as in the canon, so long as it still fits their development in this world.
For now, this roleplay will only consist of ThunderClan, augmented by characters from other Clans as needed. The main reason for this is that in the past I have attempted similar roleplays, and the other Clans were always far more inactive by comparison. Plus, it eliminates the need to add non-canon characters to the other Clans to fill out their allegiances (as without them, ThunderClan by far has the largest number of characters). If there proves to be need for them later, I may set up additional Clans.

Roleplay Rules
》Cue the typical spiel of following forum rules, being courteous, using common sense, not playing Mary-Sues, not spotlighting/power playing/etc, keeping things forum-appropriate, and so on, and so forth. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
》Please try to be highly semi-literate, occasionally dipping into literate/advanced territory. For the most part, we want responses of a paragraph or two- enough to describe events with some detail and give your partner(s) something to build off of, but not a novel to wade through. Long posts for the sake of narration, speech, or setting the tone/setting is, of course, fine, but these should be less common. Alternatively, please try to avoid replying in only a sentence or two if possible, though I understand in fast-paced scenes (such as conversations or combat) that it may not always be prudent or feasible to utilize an entire paragraph. Use your best judgement, and- most importantly- keep the story going! In a nutshell, don't bottleneck it with far too much or far too little text.
》Obviously, characters are predominantly canon, so I shouldn't need to tell you to keep them realistic in appearance. However, please do try to keep their personalities as consistent with canon as possible, as well as their abilities. For example, Leafpaw is not going to suddenly be spiteful, nor will she be a well-trained hunter, while Squirrelpaw is not going to suddenly be mild-mannered and weak. Try to develop them as realistically and organically as possible, even if the end result is making them different than they ended up in canon. For example, roleplay may push Leafpaw to eventually become bitter and spiteful, or might force Squirrelpaw to become humble, but they won't start like that.
》Please don't vanish for long periods of time with no forewarning, especially if you are in the middle of a scene or part of an important plot. This doesn't mean you have to always be on every day, just enough to reply to the things that need you. If you vanish for too long, your characters may be given to someone else, especially high-profile ones.
》On the subject of high-profile characters- those being either characters holding high ranks, characters who were main characters in the books, or characters who become integral to the plot of this roleplay- please try to only have one or two "main" characters (like Firestar, Graystripe, Brambleclaw, Leafpaw, or Squirrelpaw), and fill out the rest of your characters with "background" characters. Characters that played a background role in the books may prove to be just as interesting- and possibly more open for interpretation- than main characters anyways!
》I retain the right to refuse a character to someone if I feel they will not be able to roleplay them appropriately, as well as to remove a character from their control if their portrayal seems wildly out of character. I will never do so without a discussion with that player as well as others to determine if my assessment is fair, but hopefully it will never be a problem at all.
》Don't bottleneck or coerce plots or character development. Remember, this roleplay is exploratory and experimental! Just because you want to keep an event similar to canon, or want to do something entirely different with it, doesn't mean everyone else feels the same way. Talk about it and find a middle ground. Some events will remain similar to canon, and some will go very differently; just let it happen.

The Warrior Code
》Defend your Clan, even with your life. You may have friendships with cats from other Clans, but your loyalty must remain to your Clan, as one day you may meet them in battle.
》 Do not hunt or trespass on another Clan's territory.
》Elders, queens, and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders. If any warrior or apprentice is sick or injured, they may eat while the elders, queens, and kits are eating.
》Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to StarClan for its life.
》A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice.
》Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name.
》A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice.
》The deputy will become Clan leader when the leader dies, retires or is exiled.
》After the death or retirement of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen before moonhigh.
》A Gathering of all four Clans is held at the full moon during a truce that lasts for the night. There shall be no fighting among Clans at this time.
》Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats.
》No warrior can neglect a kit in pain or danger, even if the kit is from a different Clan.
》The word of the Clan leader is the warrior code.
》An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win their battles, unless they are outside the warrior code or if it is necessary for self-defense.
》A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet.
》Each Clan has the right to be proud and independent, but in times of trouble they must forget their boundaries and fight side by side to protect the four. Each Clan must help the others so that no Clan will fall.

Territory & Camp
The ThunderClan forest territory is located in what Twolegs call the White Hart Woods. The territory also includes Twoleg places such as Windover Road and Chelford Forest. Their territory consists of deciduous woodland, named White Hart Woods by Twolegs. Their camp is in a sandy ravine that used to be a riverbed long time ago, surrounded by brambles. There are many landmarks in the territory, including:
》Camp - It lies at the foot of a sandy ravine, protected by thornbushes. The camp is easy to defend and hard to attack, as it is protected by steep hills, bramble walls, and has only two entrances.
》Tallpines and Treecut Place - A pine forest near the twolegplace, and a loud yard where the trees are cut. The place is usually quiet, but sometimes tree-eaters come through, tearing down some of the trees, and more saplings are planted in their place.
》The Great Sycamore - One of the largest trees with strong and thick branches. It is a good tree for apprentices to learn how to climb, because it is sturdy and the branches don't sway much.
》The Owl Tree - A tree that serves home to a tawny owl. Apprentices and small cats should be very careful in this area.
》Sunningrocks - Massive granite rocks that absorb the sunshine and are a place of relaxation. Moons ago, it used to be an island belonging only to RiverClan, but at some point the river changed so that ThunderClan could access the stones. They are now constantly being fought over and changing paws.
》Snakerocks - Home to venomous adders. The caves beneath the rocks can also be homes to other dangerous creatures. However, it can also be a good place to find mice, voles, and other small rodents if one is very careful.
》The Sandy Hollow - A large hollow filled with soft sand- good for training so that cats don't hurt themselves during sparring.
》Twolegplace - The place where Twolegs live. Mostly nests with gardens and fences- home to many kittypets, who for the most part know to stay out of the forest. Twolegs and occasional dogs might be seen there, but as long as one stays near the trees it is mostly safe.

The camp is at the bottom of stony ravine which was once a riverbed. The camp itself is surrounded by dense brambles which protect the camp from predators, but doesn't stop sunshine from coming in. The main entrance into the camp is through a gorse tunnel. Dens are mostly under bushes, but a few are under boulders.
》The nursery has thick bramble walls, full of thorns and closely woven together to make a warm, safe den.
》Behind a tree stump, there is a clump of ferns which forms the apprentices' den. Next to the ferns is a large, flat stump.
》Warriors sleep under a bush in roughly the center of camp, where the ground has been hollowed around the bush roots out for nests.
》Inside the camp, there is a fallen tree, under which the elders sleep, their nests protected by tangled branches and tall grass.
》Across the clearing from the elders' den is a smooth tall rock: Highrock, where the leader stands to address the Clan, which gathers in the clearing around the boulder. The leader's den is in a cave in the rock which was carved out by an ancient stream, with lichen covering the entrance.
》The medicine den is divided from the rest of camp by a fern tunnel, and is in another, separate small clearing. The den itself is a large space under a couple of boulders.

Joining
Joining is quite simple; just find a character that isn't claimed, and provide a small roleplay sample of that character. It doesn't have to be a sample that contributes to anything that is happening in the roleplay, as the sample is non-canon and not a part of events (unless you decide to use it once you're accepted). As it's difficult to fully portray a character in one small sample, this sample is not so much meant to be a demonstration of your ability to stay true to that character, but more meant to weed out anyone who would go wildly off-character, or else anyone whose writing ability does not quite a fit with this roleplay. Therefore, as a disclaimer, having a sample approved and claiming a character does not mean that one's claims cannot still be revoked if that player breaks any rules or proves themselves unable to contribute to the roleplay effectively.
Obviously, the allegiances are already laid out and character info is provided. If you feel that some of it is incorrect for any reason (for example, that the eye color or age is wrong) you can suggest corrections. Seeing as many of those things are guessed and non-canon, they can be adjusted, so long as it's not specifically listed on the Wiki. The only exception to this is- in terms of age- where littermates have already been claimed & approved; littermates but all remain the same age, and therefore all players of littermates who are claimed must agree on the adjustment.
Finally, I may occasionally allow the usage of a non-Clan cat, who may interact witht the Clan and (possibly, not definitely) join. Whether or not a non-canon, non-Clan cat is allowed to join the Clan is entirely up to roleplay, and I expect characters to roleplay a reasonable degree of suspicion and distrust before allowing an outsider into the Clan! Also, certain rules apply to non-canon character creation, for the sake of keeping it fair. After all, it's not fair for one person to insert their favorite OC into semi-canon events; this isn't a fanfiction. Instead, you will be allowed to give a few parameters (such as 'young kittypet she-cat' or 'old rogue tom') and the details of the character- including appearance and exact age- will be randomly generated. This should be a relatively uncommon necessity, however.
