Eric staggered out of his dorm, mumbling about a headache then quickly stopping to light a cigarette before making his way towards the school. He had dirty hair and bloodshot eyes, still wearing the same clothes from the day before. It didn't look like this would be the greatest start to another school year. The young vampire took a few deep drags from his cigarette and rubbed his eyes furiously as he shuffled along, hoping somehow it would wake him up enough to not fall asleep in his first class.

Jolly took in the scenery around. The lush grass, the stone towering above, and not to mention all of those students around. It was exhilarating. As always, sleep hadn't come last night, but for an animate hat like himself, that didn't matter really. So, he strode up the front steps, ready for his first day of real schooling.

Eric let out a low growl as he tried to force his way through the throng of students heading into the school building. If there was anything that he hated more than being stuck at Green Hill, it was definitely all of the other not-so-human students that were there with him. Why couldn't he just go to a normal school like a regular kid? Well, the answer to that was pretty simple. It didn't mean he liked this any better. "Alright, now what the hell is this guy?" Eric mumbled as he flicked away his cigarette butt, noticing what appeared to be a living crash test dummy wearing a strange hat ahead of him on the stairs. He hadn't seen the dummy around before, he would certainly remember someone like that.

He turns and faces Eric, expressionless but still imposing in his own way. "Something to say?" Jolly offers, coming to a complete stop then and there. Say what you wish about his jokes, but insulting his looks, something he couldn't control, always managed to piss him off.

Eric grinned as the dummy spun to face him, the whole fang issue made his smile a bit more creepy than he intended. "Yeah, you look weird. What's with the dummy look, and that hat?" It seemed he had already gotten under this guy's skin, and he definitely wanted to see just how far he could take this. Nice guy. "You stick out for sure, and this whole place is full of freaks so that's really saying something." Maybe one day he'd learn not to run his mouth so much.

Anyone knowing Jolly would have noticed the change in behavior from his wise-cracking self moments ago. Now, he dropped his bag to the ground and raised his hand to press his index finger against Eric's chest. "That's spicy coming from you, forehead." Whether or not Eric had a big forehead, didn't really matter. Jolly wasn't used to insulting others, but the effort was there.

Isiah Copperhall was never one to be late to class. He found a small comfort in having a strict schedule that he followed to a T. At 6:30 he would get up, make a quick breakfast for his own, or perhaps see what they were making downstairs in the dorm. At 6:45, he would come up stairs, get dressed, brush his teeth, and make sure he had everything packed and ready in his back. At 7:00, he would allow himself another 15 minutes to relax, and mentally prepare for the day, this time slot normally involved watching videos on his phone just to make sure he was as awake as he could be. Then, at 7:15, he would make for his first period, making sure to allow himself time to get there early just in case there was traffic in the hall way.
Isiah tried to stay as out of sight from others as possible, choosing to wear a large bulky hoodie over his uniform, with the hood pulled up so as to conceal him as best he could. As with every day, he listened to the chatter in the hall way, students hanging by their lockers, talking about the latest what's-happenings. But this particular day, his ears caught onto the sound of snickering. Dude, that's Isiah Copperhall dude. His mom's in adult flicks, if you know what I mean. Eew really? That's so gross! Haha yeah dude, I totally watched those. Hey, should I say I've seen his mom naked? Wow, I wish MY parents were rich and famous. What a snob.
Isiah pulled his hoodie on more over his head and walked faster, his head lowered. He was walking so fast he didn't even realize when he bumped into the animate body of a mannequin, almost bowling it over. "Oh! I'm sorry, I wasn't... I wasn't - I didn't mean - I'm sorry." The brown headed boy apologized, standing stiffly, awkwardly for a moment. His eyes flashed to the vampire next to him, his face beginning to haze red in humility. Today was starting off real great.

(I apologize, but he's really supposed to be a bit of an ass.)
Eric let out a short chuckle as he watched Isiah slam into Jolly. The vampire fished around in his pockets for a moment, then quickly produced and lit another cigarette. "What a mess. Maybe you would've seen that coming if you had any eyes." Charming. "I'd keep your hands to yourself unless you really wanna learn that lesson the hard way, new guy." He turned to address Isaiah. "Sounds like you're in for a good time too." It was strange that Eric didn't outright insult Isaiah the same way he did Jolly, but it seemed some of the other students already had some nice things to say about him. Besides, they were in the same year. "Maybe you should do something about those kids, man. I doubt they're going to go any easier on you this year."

(No apology needed- I love getting to see Jolly worked up XD) (Off to work here soon.)
Jolly's mind was snapped away from the opponent before him as someone came into contact. With a shake of his head, Jolly patted Isiah's back and began to lead him away from Eric. "No problem bucko! I didn't exactly feel it to begin with. I'm Jolly, it's a pleasure to meet you."

Isiah panicked at this sudden social confrontation, something he was not skilled at in the slightest. He typically tended to stay away from new people, and now they were talking to him and wrapping their arms around his shoulder. Calm down, don't ****z out. He sheepishly smiled at the mannequin with the strange brown hat, flicking his gaze back to the vampire in a look that said help but to no one in particular. "H-Hah, pleasure to meet you too, I'm Isiah..." His grip tightened around the strap of his back pack nervously. "It was nice meeting you guys, sorry again for bumping into you - but class is about to start soon..."

Eric found himself laughing again when he saw just how timid Isaiah was. Even someone as dumb as himself could tell he didn't appreciate being dragged away by that weird kid with the hat, but he was too nervous to do much about it. "I'll catch you inside. We're gonna have fun this year, I can tell already." He called out as the other made their way inside. A few aggressive drags later Eric ditched the butt and headed inside to get to class.

She was terribly late, and now Rosalyn was in a rush. She thought her alarm was set, ready to blare at the rising of dawn - then again, she did choose to set it last night meanwhile she triple checked her backpack, closet, and schedule for the first day of school. So there was a slight possibility of her not even setting it in the first place. It wasn't like this was her first time attending the academy. It was her second year, in fact, but it didn't stop the fluttering of butterflies in her chest keeping her from thinking rationally. It was the nerves getting to her, her mother told her the day before when she called, you'll be fine!
In fact, Rosalyn did not feel fine.
Especially since her new dorm had a window covered with ivy, which grew exponentially quickly every time she stood by it, even for the slightest of seconds. (They were happy she was there, and they wanted to be friends.) Her most reasonable action was to leave the window open to allow her newfound companion inside, latching themselves onto the walls and onto her bedframe, and Rosalyn was suddenly glad she didn't get a roommate this year. (Ivy was nice, but they weren't very keen on keeping her room neat.)
So that was how she left her dorm, ivy decorating her walls and bedsheets (and on her stockings, she found out later) while she speedwalked towards the academy entrance. She would have ran, but she didn't want the attention of the teachers. What a bad first impression, she thought.
Once she reached the hallway, Rosalyn felt the smallest comfort on seeing how many bunches of students still remained chatting, even if class was minutes away. Some turned to greet her warmly when they noticed her lingering nearby, since they were previous acquaintances from the year before, and the young woman finally began to feel at ease. Now all she had to do was find her class in time. A part of her did hope to run into a familiar face, but since she was easily lost in the crowds of the much taller students around her, Rosalyn had to tiptoe in order to look over their shoulders.
If anything, all anyone saw was the occasional bobbing of her peachy hair.
---
He had slept through his alarms, but frankly, Caius didn't remember what time classes were even supposed to be in session. What he did remember was to be in the school building by morning at the very least, and according to his standards, he was already on a pretty good start. He was lounged upon the stairs leading up to the entrance of the academy, his head lazing from side to side as he took note of all the students filing into the building, but felt no need to rush in as they were doing. Instead, he focused his attention on sipping from the raspberry tea he had bought from the lunchroom's vending machine that morning (he didn't like raspberries, but he needed some sort of caffeine to fuel him for the next hour) and so Caius sat, eyes blinking sleepily and shoulders slumping against the cold concrete of the stairs. His hair, even if tousled and spiked in places, felt soft whenever he ran his hand through it, effectively causing it to flounce backwards for a moment, before falling back onto his face when he looked down at a ladybug that happened to land on his shoe.
"Hello, miss."
(Caius was someone who thought any ladybug that he saw was exclusively female.)
His chin now rested upon his palm as he admired the tiny creature, who idly walked around the tip of his uniform shoes. It would be easy to fly away from his classes by shifting into one - the idea had definitely crossed his mind before. But he had promised his family to stay sharp in his studies, and Caius did not enjoy breaking promises, so if he did ever turn into a ladybug, it would only be to fly straight into his classroom and actually be on time for role call.
Reaching a finger down towards the ladybug, a crooked smile grew across his lips once she crawled onto it, more for the ticklish sensation Caius felt as she walked over his skin. It was enough to make him giggle, even at the expense of being looked at oddly by any of the students passing by him. He didn't mind. All his attention was on admiring his new friend, not on any of his actual human ones who would try to get him to notice them - if they bothered to try, anyway.

In the coffee shop, as the early bird students filed out and the late-wakers filed in, Jiji was hard at work making tea, and greeting every customer that came in. Despite being quite a large school, every word felt warm and welcoming from him. And the tea and coffee, ah! Both divine, truly made with love.
For some reason, no one had sat at the bar today. If someone were to walk in and sit, they might talk to Jiji as he worked, and perhaps hear some of that sage wisdom.

Sana walked into the coffee shop. She had woken up later than she usually did and she looked like she was in a hurry though that was because she had missed out on her typical morning routine which usually consisted of her jogging around the campus. She had slept through her alarms and she still felt groggy so she went to the bar and sat down for a moment. "Hey Jiji. Can you just get me something to help me wake up? I'll take anything" she said in a tired voice
Masaki had just woken up about a half hour ago and was ready to go. He walked out of his dorm as he headed to the fountain. He didn't really have much to do other than going to class but that wasn't for a while so he had some time to kill though he didn't really know what he should do. He figured his sister was training still though he could never figure out why. It wasn't like they needed to do exercise to keep the body that they had

Eric was visibly talking to himself as he made his way back outside the school building. Despite his "best efforts" to take things more seriously, he had fallen asleep about five minutes into his first class and was quickly thrown out by his teacher. Digging through his pockets, the angry vampire produced a lighter and his pack of cigarettes. Usually smoking as much as he did would be cause for concern, but being a vampire meant he didn't have to worry. At least he was pretty sure. Maybe. Eric groaned as he plopped himself down on the edge of the fountain to enjoy his smoke. After another short while searching through his pockets he popped two small pills into his mouth and washed it down with the foul-looking red liquid he kept in a water bottle in his bag. "What a day..." He muttered, to seemingly no one.

Masaki finally made it close to the fountain before he saw Eric sitting with a cigarette in his mouth, probably one of the worst things he could have done with a prankster around. Masaki smirked as he made a quick motion with his hand as he started to make the cigarette look as if it was coming to life. It started wriggling around as eyes started to appear on it and arms and hands came out of the sides of it. There was no mouth but just by looking at the eyes you could tell that it looked scared and confused.

Eric's bloodshot eyes shot open. Well, more like they weren't half-shut anymore. This was definitely something he hadn't been expecting, and he could have sworn he didn't take anything that should've made him see something this weird. No, somebody had to be doing this. Probably. With a loud growl the cigarette was flicked away, though Eric made sure to quickly grab and light another to take its place. After taking a quick look around the only other person he could spot was Masaki. "You sure you wanna try that fox boy?!" Though it seemed to take quite a bit of effort, the vampire pushed himself up to his feet again. "I'm feeling pretty hungry, bet fox blood doesn't taste too bad." Eric hissed, baring his fangs while he glared at the kitsune student.
