Ya, I feel like I try to set one a werewolf rp up every summer or there are 12 every summer. Then it dies because as soon as uni starts up and I get crushed under the workload. But they are always really fun and I enjoy the rping with everyone. So, why not this summer too.
So, current ideas include
- Modern
- Small town out in the middle of nowhere OR large city (really anywhere we want)
- The group are werewolves who basically grown up together or have seen each other before (all within 3 yrs of each other? ). Basically really tightknit group with some groups of sibs and cousins, but I'm also up for a couple of outsiders to spice things up.
- But the "pack culture" has died out because with cameras and other modern tech, it gets harder to hide themselves
- They know how to transform but much else is na-da
- Because they can, they do decide to venture out into the woods outside their town/city and find an old, destroyed mansion
- This mansion use to belong to werewolves but the pack disappeared in some ~ mysterious ~ manner
- honestly, I kinda want to make it a beach house just because it is summer but I don't really like the beach so idk
At this point, I would like some opinions
The original plot was mostly slice of life, mystery, and action, that's the best label I could think of. There was something dangerous in the woods, related to the old pack, but it, or they, do not sense the new pack until much later. They had more time to figure out the pieces of the puzzle and work out what happened. Among the wreckage of the house, they also found records which had some of their family names. They hadn't heard of any of these family members and could go explore this. Since I love the found-family trope, they would work towards exploring being a 'pack' and 'werewolves'. Queue things like 'They said they drank some rare kind of tea before going to bed, I guess we should do that?' 'This sucks. I hate tea and it's hella expensive but you gotta do what you gotta do.' or the first very bad, terrible, horrible hunting trip.
If enough people are interested or want to make more characters, another more traditional mini pack could be introduced towards the middle to be like, 'ummm that tea does nothing. Ur doing this wrong. Oh, there is also something in the woods. One of our packmates got hurt.' BUT idk about that because oof more characters will have to be made but it would be interesting to have that clash.
The smaller plot-ish ideas
- Not bipetal werewolves, they transform into larger than average wolves
- No humans, newly transformed werewolves are okay but only a couple
- Forced to shift on full-moon and can shift other times but harder without moonlight (so daytime and new moon = very painful shifts)
- NO omegas, absolutely forbidden, don't even try that 'is weaker so looked down upon'; if you want, I will explain
- It is possible to have human blood in the bloodline and still be able to transform but it is much more difficult, even with moonlight. However they do have less of an urge to transform on the full moon. Some families purposefully include humans in their bloodline so they aren't forced to shift and can hide themselves better. Really great for apartments which don't allow pets. No strong negative attitude towards them because even the pureblood family admits it's a pretty smart idea, but still will be a weakness or strength depending on the situation.
- More ideas are welcome
Details about rp
- Literate rp (At least 2 para per post but maybe one is good ) I can do more but really want the rp to move forwards
- Don't have anything else
