I used to never do it outside of just after washing the sheets, but I recently moved in with my mom and she's adamant that the bed be made every single morning. Admittedly, it is a one room apartment, but I still find myself annoyed at having to do it, and have resorted to just sleeping on top of the covers because I despise it that much. How often do you guys make your beds?

Like....once a week maybe. I used to do it every day but as of late, I see no point atm. Im the only one that goes in my room and frankly, I don't have time in the morning so why am I gonna make it right before I go to bed just for it to get messed up again? Lol

Every day, but only up to the pillows, I don't take time to tuck the covers all fancy-like around them. A made bed is just more comfortable to get into at night in my opinion. Then again, I'm one of the only people I know that still actually uses a top sheet and not just the big cover.

Well technically my bed just has the cover thing on it so I just roll up my weighted blanket when I get up and fix my stuffed animals so ?

i never actually make my bed because i don't see the point, it doesn't make me feel better to have done it so it's a waste of time. i do just generally straighten my blankets out every day though because i kick so badly when sleeping that i don't have a choice.

Literally only when I'm forced to. I don't see a point on making beds.

im stupid and make my bed right before bed time. like im too lazy to do it in the morning but i also feel like a bad person if i go a day without doing it so i always make it right before i go to sleep so i can feel some semblance of put-togetherness.
tbh it's lowkey relaxing like it's a nice little ritual to Decompress before going to bed

What's the point in making your bed, honestly
You're most likely going to mess it up when you go to sleep anyways

Define "making"
Do I sloppily pull the blankets back up to the pillows instead of leaving them folded open? Every morning.
Do I neatly tuck in the blankets and make it look nice? Rarely. Probably just after washing them.

Probably just after washing them. Probably somewhere in between. I would say making your bed is putting effort into making it look nice, even if it's just quick. But just spreading the blanket out? I don't think that counts, because that's necessary for sleeping. XD

I used to maybe once a week when I was little but then The Depression(tm) occurred and I didn't have the motivation to waste energy on a menial task.
Then I found out bedbugs thrive in a made bed because it gets less airflow so that just gave me more of a reason to not make it.

I didn't see:What is this mythical action you speak of?
Making your bed is like taking the wheels off a car, putting it in the water, and calling it a boat while towing a boat behind you.

I try to make my bed up every morning. But sometimes I’m in a rush before work/classes so if I am, then I don’t. It’s always refreshing for me come home to a clean bed!

My mom tells me not to because my bed needs sunlight. Kills the bacteria. Lol.

In the UK I just sorta pull my duvet so it vaguely covers the mattress lol. In Japan I have to pack my futon away every day because my apartment is really tiny ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I only make my bed once I retire into my room for the night.
