Oh this seems really fun! So when it comes to these character will they be more like rencarnations, just plain immortal, or will it be something that's decided as the rp goes on?

Thanks! Which characters do you mean? The original heroes? In which case, it really kinda depends on their legend. Unless their opposition gets creative, they might have to be killed the same way they originally died. Like Dracula, for example. You'd need to go Vampire Slayer on him, but Hua Mulan, while she may have superhuman aspects, could still potentially be killed through more mundane means.

You're welcome. Also what I'm trying to ask is how did they end up in the 21st century? In the case of Hua Mulan, for example, was she reborn? And then in the case of Hercules, since he became a god, would he just be immortal?

Ah, excellent questions! I totally forgot to address that... To expand on what was previously stated: They were 'summoned' and so brought into being on this mortal plane and into this world. See, we're working primarily with legends & myths- Stories, so these people don't necessarily exist, they simply manifest in concurrence with their stories. (With a few creative liberties taken) In Hercules' case, he'd appear as he was before he went up to Olympus. His years spent hero-ing, so to speak.
That said, real people who have fantastic stories told about them are eligible as well- like Joan of Arc and Charlemagne.

I was originally inspired by this simple quote: ' According to Hesiod's myth, "great and powerful figures were to be honoured after death as a daimon…" ' and kinda ran with it. Thus, great and powerful figures who were honored in 'death' can be revived so that they can teach the new generation of heroes who would take their place. Who is doing the summoning and how is it done? Questions to be answered in Roleplay~

Ah okay, that makes sense. Also would their be any sort of set time range we have to chose characters from? For example only choosing someone from a myth/legend or history that existed before the 1700's.

Hi! You don't have to wait, this page is for establishing characters before the rp is posted. Mine are already pretty much done- barring some finishing touches- So to start I'm just looking for two heroes and one more ancient hero/daemon, though the number will increase based on how many people are interested & how many characters they make. There is a limit, however. One of each type and a possible villain to be introduced in the future-
