Jace shrugged. "It was pleasant to talk to you, Drake. Have a great rest of the day." She smiled faintly, then turned and started to walk towards the back exit of the tent. She moved slowly and calmly, but her eyes shone with the actual need to get out of there. Her heart rate had risen, which could only mean one thing.

Jace had the expression of a kid on Christmas as she wandered around town, gazing around. It was the first time she was allowed to wander freely in a long time. The only rule was that she had to wear sunglasses. Which wasn't that bad, in her opinion. She could pretend to be a normal human being for once in her life. She laughed in delight to herself as she explored, picking up her pace as her eyes landed on a shop that sold clothing. She had really only come out to get more costumes, but she decided a little more looking around wouldn't hurt.

The hard ware shop was the farthest store from the parking deck. To get to it, Drake had to wander by the rest of the store fronts on his way. He took that as an opportunity to take in all the area had to offer, see what new things were on display, and help his mind remember any tidbits of forgotten items he needed to pick up that he hadn't had time to write down. The clothing shops were always the ones decorated the most, and he enjoyed seeing the changes in the outfits and decor added. While a good deal of them catered to mostly women, he never saw passed the windows, never having a need to enter said stores. The ones who offered men's clothing as well, though, were nice. Clothing, however, for today, was not on his list of needed items. So there would be no browsing the stores in full unless the weather proved to stay fair enough where he could walk back to his car without getting wet.

Jace's eyes landed on a familiar face, and she broke into a grin. "Hey!" she called to him, waving her arms over her head. She picked up her pace even more to catch up with him. Sadly she was short, so she had to push through the crowds by force. She managed to get through and tap him on the shoulder to get his attention. She vaguely remembered his name started with a D, but, other than that... yeah, she had nothing.

Drake heard someone shout, and, out of curiosity, he turned to look to see who had given the shout. About that same time, there was a tap on his shoulder. Turning, he spotted a short girl wearing a pair of sunglasses behind him. "Oh, hey," he said, smiling. Something about her voice was familiar, but he was trying desperately to remember why that was. He was sure he would recall her soon, but for the moment, his brain was determined to keep whatever memory of her hidden from him. "What's up?"

"I feel like I remember you from somewhere. Did you by chance attend the circus within the past few years?" She tilted her head to the side. Her sunglasses slipped a little, revealing a bruise that surrounded her eye, making the blue-green hue seem darker. "I'm the opening act, stage name Pastel Spider?" She was really just acting on a whim here.

Jace nodded. "That's me! Sorry I don't remember your name..." She looked sheepish as her gaze dropped to the ground, and she pushed up her sunglasses. "It's been a while." was her excuse. She scuffed her shoe on the sidewalk, suddenly seeming nervous. As though she were suddenly conscious of the time and had realized that she was going to be late for something. She tugged down on her sleeve, trying to hide the rest of her 'accidents'. She then looked up with a smile.
{{Alright, done.}}

"Oh, costume run. The boss wants new material." Jace chuckled softly. "It's a ton of work, coming up with new stories to tell." Her smile faded a little. "If I don't, well..." She stopped herself. After a moment, her smile returned full-force. "Well anyway, nice to see you again, Drake! Maybe I'll see you tonight." She did finger guns and started to back away.

"I'm sure it is. I bet it's a never ending process," Drake agreed. He noticed her smile fade for a few seconds, but it as soon placed back onto her face. "We'll see. If not, might I entice you into the idea of getting a coffee with me tomorrow? I know pretty much all the shops in the area. Maybe I could give you a tour and help you find future places for your costumes?" It as a long shot, but he felt like extending the offer to her. The circus would be sticking around for a week or two, unless something in the scheduling had changed since he'd last looked at it. It just felt weird not getting to know her since she had remembered him, out of everyone else, after all those years. And if it helped her with creating new stories and dances, then he would be honored to help her in such a way.

"Oh, um, I don't know... This is the first time I've been allowed out of the tent alone before... I'm not sure my boss would go for it." Jace rubbed the back of her neck. "He's a stingy man, doesn't want us running away or something of the sort." She looked apologetic. "Sorry..." She knew for a fact that Mr McGee would never go for letting her go get coffee with another person, much lace a male. He would assume it to be a date and forbid it. In truth, the mere thought of even asking him made her stomach twist at the thought of what he would do.

"I don't think so..." Jace hummed in thought. "Maybe I could sneak out though. Just getting coffee delivered seems quite boring, don't you think? Takes away from the overall experience." She giggled a little. "Might get into trouble, but hey, it'll be worth it." She forced a grin. "And maybe for once he won't notice my absence." she added quickly. She wanted to seem like a chill person, she really did.

"Eh, it's fine. Most of the time I just sit around trying out different shades of eyeshadow anyway. See which is dark enough to match my soul." Jace was only half-joking with this. "I'd be willing to drop an hour or two of that to socialize." She giggled. "The bonus is that I'll get actual coffee." she added, clapping her hands together. "So, when and where?" she asked, tilting her head.

Jace nodded. "Sounds good. See you tomorrow or tonight then!" She waved before finally heading to the clothing store. She smiled the whole way there. Her eyes shone behind her sunglasses.
