The Rising Sun
Captain: Cassian Avery, "The Newcomer" Cassian looks more like a sailor than a pirate, with his lack of tattoos and trappings, although he does have a few rings that ordain his fingers, in addition to the small earrings he wears. His hair is a light ashy brown, with brighter highlights from all the time he spends at sea. Though he hates to have long hair, he typically can't be bothered to cut it more than once or twice a year, so it usually falls just below his ears or around the nape of his neck. Though he is 27 years old, he can't grow much of a beard, but he still maintains a small amount of scruff on his face, giving him a bit of a rugged appearance. His eyes are a dark blue, that almost appear brown until one sees them up close, and they are deeply set beneath firm, thick brows. He has a slightly crooked nose with a scar across the bridge from when he broke his nose in a brawl as a teenager. Standing at 6'1", Cassian is lean and muscular, with lightly tanned skin. // Cassian Avery is a loyal man whose curiosity sometimes gets him into trouble. He is fiercely protective over those he loves, and he tries to be honorable and fair in all he does. Of course, being dragged into the pirate life sometimes muddles his moral compass a bit, but overall, he tries to stick to his convictions. The newly made pirate is a quick learner who is not easily fooled. However, his one weakness is a pretty face. // Cassian was practically raised by his mother alone, as his father was always at sea. He rarely saw him, and when he was twelve years old, his mother whisked him away to live further inland. She hardly ever talked about his father, and Cassian knew not to bring him up out of love for his mother. But when he turned eighteen, his mother passed away, and Cassian, not knowing what else to do, returned to the coastal town he was born in and became a sailor. Nine years later, he was approached by the first mate of his father's ship and, due to his immense curiosity and adventurous spirit, accepted the offer to inherit his father's ship and position. // Other // 𝐸𝓁𝑜𝓆𝓊𝑒𝓃𝓉𝒟𝓇𝑒𝒶𝓂𝑒𝓇
Quarter Master: Sahara O'Brien // A young-looking woman, Sahara is 32 years old with dark hair that is long and curly. She always keeps her hair back, tied tightly behind her as it can easily get in her way. Her eyes are a warm brown, almost black, that glint with a knowing look. Her skin is a dark toffee brown, her hands rough and cracked from work. Along her left shoulder is a black flower tattoo. Sahara seems to always be wearing what most would consider inappropriate for women. This is because she mainly just wears a tight vest with a bit of an undershirt, freeing her arms of any clothing except for the leather bands around her wrists. She wears tight, dark leggings with a thin sash belt and brown boots. // Sahara is tough. She can take a beating, either physical or psychological, and simply smile in return. She is stubborn, independent, and most of all, strong-minded. She isn't afraid to speak her opinion, and isn't afraid to raise her voice. This often leads to trouble, as she is extremely blunt and doesn't control what is coming out of her mouth. She isn't much of a liar and can easily be trusted due to this. She is a hard-worker, doing whatever she is told, and knows the ins and outs of ships. // Sahara was the only child of a shipwright. She worked from early mornings to late nights with her father, building a strong physique and rougher features. She loved her job, loved the ships, and loved her family. Unfortunately, her father was killed due to "unsatisfactory" work, leaving Sahara and her mother alone. To survive, her mother became a wench at a tavern and Sahara tried to get a job as a shipwright like her father. Due to her gender and age, she was turned down at every turn, leaving Sahara to join her mother. It was a few years of struggling later that Sahara accidentally came across a pirate that needed repairs done on his ship, but secretly to avoid unwanted attention. Sahara took this chance to offer her service, and though unwilling, the pirate had no choice but to accept. Proving herself adept at the job, she repaired his ship, and for payment she asked to join the crew, seeking to escape the life she had. Now she is a pirate who has no wish to return to her old life.// Quartermaster of the Rising Sun // *ᴿᵃᶤᶰᶜᵃˡˡᵉʳ* )*

Desmond Riley // Desmond Riley looks like the type of man that you want to get to know, but shouldn’t. With his square jaw and mischievous eyes, it is undeniable that he is good-looking. He keeps his brown hair short and always has just enough scruff on his face to notice. His lips are plump and he has a cleft chin. He is very muscular because he does a lot of physical labor on the ship. His skin is curiously pale, especially for being outside all the time. His eyes are a shade of dark blue. He stands at a height of 5’10” and is 31 years of age. // If Desmond Riley were to be described in one word, that would be arrogant. If a second word were to be allowed, that one would be loyal. Des is very confident and self-assured. Yes, he knows he is handsome, but he is more confident in his fighting abilities. He has always been successful in battle; he clearly isn’t dead yet. He never bites off more than he can chew, and always backs his words with actions. Des is a deeply loyal friend and peer. He knows that he leads a dangerous life, he needs all the allies he could get. If someone close to him needed something, Desmond Riley could be counted on, no matter what it was. Because of this, he has done some pretty dark things. He is a pirate after all. Lastly, Des is very mischievous and flirtatious. He loves a good prank just as much as he loves a beautiful woman. // Desmond Riley was born to an extremely poor family. He was somewhere in the middle of 8 children. They all were forced to work at a young age. In Des’ case, he stole money, food, jewelry, whatever he could. When he turned 13, he felt that he wouldn’t be missed, so he ran off on a pirate ship. He worked his way up from a lowly powder monkey to a respectable boatswain. He has fallen in love exactly one time in his life. It was traumatizing and now would rather not. // ??? // Pebble
The Burning Rose
Captain: Crispin "Chris" Taffert, "The Master" Although this man is nearing fifty, he doesn't look it, and anyone who glanced at him in passing would think he was no older than forty-two, at most. Chris stands about six feet even and weighs 164 lbs, his build lean and tight. His thin face is filled out by rounded cheeks and a Greek nose. He keeps his black hair longer on top and shorter on the sides to keep it out of his eyes, and his beard is well-maintained. His skin is, to some degree, permanently sun-burned and scarred, but the wrinkles at the corners of his grey eyes makes it seem like he is always smiling, which is reinforced by the fact that his lips naturally relax into a smirk that says he knows all your secrets. He has two solid lines tattooed around his right wrist, as well as a rose mallow between his shoulder blades. His captain's uniform consists of basic, dark pants, a white shirt, black boots and a coat embellished with silver thread. For a fight, Chris is equipped with a plain sword and set of pistols strapped to his hip. Chris has a deep voice, the kind that scratches every time he starts to speak, and his laugh is almost angelic in its sincerity. For a man like Taffert to laugh sarcastically or without humor, it would mean imminent danger to those who offended him. // Personality: Apparently destined for greatness, his youthful appearance is a blessing he uses to his advantage. He is generally a happy person to be around, always willing to stop in a tavern and celebrate life with his crew, or total strangers. (His drink of choice is either a cider or a mint liqueur.) He has a certain, old-fashioned charm to him that makes it easy to like him, despite knowing the sins of his occupation. Being alive for almost half a century has bestowed him with a calm temperament and a nonjudgmental approach to everything he does. He is neither cautious nor reckless, but uses his experience to make decisions. Chris follows the laws and wishes of his superiors, and expects everyone who works for him to do the same, and he reinforces his leadership through a kind of tough love that is stern, yet forgiving. Chris is not one to follow ambitions or whims, but rather enjoys living each day as if it is his last, satisfied with having to provide for his crew, which he thinks of as his family. // History: Not much can be said about Crispin Taffert's life, only that he was born to be a pirate. His mother, who was the daughter of a wealthy trader in a position of power, eloped with one of her father's employees. They found solace on a passing ship, which was attacked by pirates, and Chris's parents were taken prisoner. He was born in the brig of that ship, which has since been decommissioned, and grew up with pirates for guardians after his real parents were thrown overboard when Chris was two, so he has no memory of them. // "And even in our sleep, pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, and against our will, comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of God." // 𝚜𝚝𝚊𝚛𝚍𝚞𝚜𝚝
First Mate: Abraham Davies Abraham Davies has longer, dark hair that is messy and tangled, often pulled back from his face. His beard is long and thick, showing some slight gray that gives away his age (early fifties). Abraham has a short, bulbous nose, and a jagged scar across his right eye that has made him blind, so he wears a patch over that eye. The pirate is on the shorter side for a man, being only 5'8" and would be described as bulky. // Abraham is a spiteful man who trust no one and always thinks the worst of people. He is of the mindset to shoot first and ask questions later, and is known to be incredibly rash. The man is also rude, stubborn, and ambitious. // Abraham Davies has been a pirate his whole life. He has plans to one day be the captain of his own ship, but for now, he is waiting for the right time. // Other // 𝐸𝓁𝑜𝓆𝓊𝑒𝓃𝓉𝒟𝓇𝑒𝒶𝓂𝑒𝓇
Crew:
Delphine Raimbeaucourt // Taller than the average woman, Delphine stands at 5'8". But with her leather, heeled boots and brilliant posture, she can appear even more towering than she already is. Delphine is a slender thing, and her layers of clothing often cover any muscle definition she has. Though her height and build seem to cancel each other out, if anyone is to know she's not to be messed with, it's all in her face. She has high cheekbones and gaunt cheeks, defining her resting irritated expression. Her lips are pronounced and a dull red color, ever accentuating the constant frown on her features. If ever she smiles, it's usually a smirk or a display of having outwitted an adversary. Due to her years of sailing, her skin is tanned and rosy, which highlight her sky blue eyes. Delphine has her hair cut more often than most pirates, which is of her own doing. She has chin-length, well-groomed black locks that she sweeps to one side, with a slightly noticable widow's peak. Below her left eye is a singular mole. Her nose, like the rest of her, is pointed and pronounced. Her taste in clothing is a bit more refined due to her upbringing, hence the multitude of layers she tends to wear. Delphine is a ripe 30 years old, having spent almost a decade at sea. Her exuberant tastes are also present in her weapon choices - her favorite to use being a rapier. The particular blade on her person is a Raimbeaucourt family heirloom, complete with their crest. // In one word, Delphine can be described as snooty. She was born into nobility and will never let any of her crew members forget it. She holds people to a higher standard than many, despite her "profession", and will hold grudges until the day she dies. Vengeance is a familiar thing to her, and she sees the world in a Machiavellian way. As long as her actions fuel the success of her crew, not much else matters. Despite her abrasive exterior, she is incredibly loyal to the Burning Rose; the members are much like a family to her. She will do favors for people, but almost always expects something in return. Many consider her to be selfish in that right, but to her, everything is a business transaction. She does not care for jokesters, or people who she believes are wasting her time. // Delphine was born into the noble Raimbeaucourt family, that owned a lofty estate on the coastline. She grew up with her two older siblings (a brother and sister), and all was well for a while. Being the youngest, her father showered her with constant praise. Among fencing (which all of the Raimbeaucourts learned how to do), he taught her how to play the piano. With these skills she often performed at prestigious gatherings and dinners the family would host. But as time wore on, her siblings' patience for her special treatment wore thin. When Delphine reached adulthood, their only parent fell gravely ill and was eventually bedridden. The only thing he could do was write his will. When he died, he entrusted the Raimbeaucourt estate to Delphine's eldest brother and split the fortune between the three of them. Except, her siblings had other ideas. Over the years they had a brewing resentment for Delphine, and it all culminated to one fateful night. They denied her share of the fortune. Enraged, the wronged sibling called for a duel - she would clash blades with both of them to reclaim her inheritance. Though she was good at fencing, she couldn't hold a candle to her brother. The fight was quick, and Delphine was quickly ousted of the estate, and left no money. Bitter and vengeful, Delphine eventually turned to piracy and continued to hone her skills with a blade, hoping to one day reclaim her birthright. // Crew Member of The Burning Rose // vakarian

Dagen Finnley // Dark and dangerous are common words that one might use to describe 6'0" 26-year-old Dagen. His smile is just was sharp as his tongue and his eyes are an icy light green lined with khol. He has wavy black hair that cascades down his shoulders which is usually in a somewhat messy half up half down style, in order to be able to see while he works. He has an athletic build from working year after year on his ship and has the scars to prove that he is an avid fighter. He also has a celtic earring in his right ear. One of the few things besides his heavy irish accent linking him to any sort of past. // Dagen doesn't have a lot of friends. Probably because he's rude and blunt and doesn't have time to coddle anyone. He knows he's not a nice person and in fact can be cruel if you don't fit into his plans. The only people he is loyal to are his captain and his crew. Otherwise, he has no respect for the rest of the members of the Brethren court. The one thing that most people find surprising about him is that he is extremely patient. It's almost scary how patient he can be. He's also fairly smart despite his appearance. He acts arrogantly with those he doesn't like and acts less arrogantly with those he does like. If he has a chance to backstab someone, he'll usually take it if it benefits him. He does, however, have a soft spot for kids. He'll never admit it though. // As long as he can remember, Dagen has always been called such. It's been so long since he has heard his birth name after all. He had left it behind with his old life in some small town in Ireland. And that's about all anyone knows about him. And he intends to keep it that way.// Crew Member of the Neptune // LeopardHeart
Viktor Rus // The first notable thing about Viktor is his size. The man stands to be about 6’4” and has a thick body of muscle. Next, is his intensity. Viktor has beady black eyes; narrow is if always daring you to give him a reason to thrust a sword into your heart. His cheeks are fairly sunken. His body is absolutely covered in scars, because the man simply cannot resist a fight (and usually causes them). He has a long red beard that he occasionally braids. His hair is usually short, and dark auburn in color. Viktor isn’t the most handsome of men, but he could not care less. He is probably in his late 30’s, in terms of age. // Viktor embodies every single negative characteristic a pirate can have. He is incredibly sexist and misogynistic. He would never be able to have a female captain, or even a female quartermaster. He doesn’t care about his words, because whatever trouble he gets in with them he simply uses force the solve it. The man is violent. He loves to fight, to kill. With his size, strength, and ferocity, he feels he has never met a person he can’t kill. He loves to incessantly bait people into giving in and fighting him. Viktor is also extremely dense. He is so set in his ways that there really is no use in arguing with him. He has very little sense of loyalty. He uses people for his own benefit and that about his extent of caring for others. He is entitled, selfish, and has no regard for any human life. He is also completely illiterate. Despite committing numerous heinous crimes, Viktor does not see himself as evil, but does the villain ever know that they are the antagonist of a story? // Viktor is from Northern Europe. He quite literally fought his way from ship to ship. // Viktor’s biggest weakness is probably his lack of loyalty and his sense of invincibility. // Pebble
The Siren's Secret
Captain: Elena Mendoza, "The Seductress" A beautiful 29-year-old woman with Ebony hair that cascades down her back in large waves all the way down to just below her midback. She always keeps her hair down unless posing as someone that she isn't. Her eyes are a warm chocolate brown, lined with black kohl and dark eyeshadow, that seems inviting and safe when they are actually a trap themselves. There is not much kindness hidden there. Her skin is a light brown that has tanned from constantly being outside. Elena has really taken to the rumor that people say about her. Because of this, she loves wearing dark colors and long coats or vests that trail behind her. A couple rings circle her fingers as well. Being from Spain, Elena has a heavy accent and on the account that she somehow becomes angry she can be hard to understand. Especially if she slips from English to Spanish. There is a strange tattoo on the inside of her left wrist. // Elena is very affectionate with other people. Almost like she doesn't believe in personal space. Even more so towards people she really likes. And she's not blind. She knows how people look at her. So she uses her body to her advantage to get what she wants. She flirts, offers gifts and trades, and constantly smiles at everyone to make herself seem harmless. But, she's not afraid to laugh in the face of danger. She actually enjoys it. There are only a few things that actually scare her but they don't rear their ugly heads enough to keep her down. Elena is also very stubborn though she plays like she isn't. The best way to get her to do something is to tell her she can't. That'll get her going. She also refuses to confirm or deny the claims of being a siren's daughter. She likes being a mystery to everyone else. Though extremely proud, she will gladly ask for advice from her quartermaster. She trusts and loves her with all her heart and is probably the only person she'd fight for without expecting too much in return. // Raised by her father and her step-mother in the port city of Málaga, Elena was always daddy's little princess. But she never got to see him as often as she liked since he was a sailor and constantly out at sea. Nevertheless, Elena was always fascinated by the sea. She begged her father to take her with him whenever he'd leave, but, she was never allowed. So she was trapped with her step-mother and step-siblings who disliked her just as much as Elena hated them. Getting sick of being stuck at home and constantly berated by her family, she finally ran away at the age of 16. Stowing away on a trading ship, the young girl was quickly caught hiding and immediately threatened with her life. But, she argued her case and managed to persuade the crew to take her to their next destination, which happened to be London. Quickly during her stay on the ship, she learned how to take care of herself and man a ship. Slowly she developed the skills that she has now to seduce and manipulate the men she came in contact with. By the time she made it to London, she had them all wrapped around her little finger. She quickly joined another crew. A pirate ship disguised as a merchant ship. She offered her services and quickly rose in the ranks to captain. She claims not to know who started the rumor that she might be a siren. But she probably does.// She has a pet monkey named Mateo. He is usually sitting on Elena's shoulder. // LeopardHeart
Quarter Master: Elyssa Desoto Elyssa is a 30 year old woman of average height, being 5'6". She has flawlessly tanned olive skin and dark chocolate brown eyes that she usually frames with thick, dark eyeliner. Her nose is curved and pointy, and her full lips are are pale, rosy pink. Her dark curly hair usually is pulled back from her face with several braids. For the most part, Elyssa doesn't wear much adornment, other than large earrings. She has a curvy body, that is a bit on the plump side, and is not the strongest person physically. // Though she is not physically strong, mentally, Ellysa is intelligent and stable, often serving as the voice of reason and strategy amongst the crew. She thinks through all her decisions, and keeps calm even in the most stressful of situations. As a quarter master, she uses her level headed demeanor to advise her captain wisely. The woman can spot a liar from a mile away, and is quick to call out others if they are trying to deceive her or others. // Elyssa was the bastard daughter of a judge, who taught her how to assess situations and be a good judge of people. Her father went to jail for corruption, having helped a pirate escape prison, and in order to repay the debt owed to her father, the pirate helped her find solace on his ship. // Other // 𝐸𝓁𝑜𝓆𝓊𝑒𝓃𝓉𝒟𝓇𝑒𝒶𝓂𝑒𝓇
Crew:
Mason Hillcove // Mason has golden brown hair that barely touches his ears. He has hazel colored eyes and a charming smile. Mason stands at around 5'8 or 5'9 and has white skin. Mason has a above average build with a few tattoos on his arms and a bandanna around his neck. He typically likes to wear nice looking shirts and pants. Mason is around 28 years old. // Mason is charming and friendly kind of guy. At first glance you wouldn't think he was a pirate. He is kind and knows how to be a gentleman. He uses his good looks and mannerisms to get what he wants. Mason may seem soft but don't let that fool you. He is a skilled fighter, and uses his speed against his opponent. Despite all this, Mason tends to be moody and will be distant. He doesn't really know why and prefers not to discuss it. He is pretty creative and likes to write down stories and thoughts in his journals. Due to his background, Mason knows how to bargain and get a good deal on something. He also has a knack for knowing when someone is lying. It's not super accurate but he claims it is. // Mason was born and raised in the city. His father was a merchant and taught him everything about the merchant trade. Mason was expected to follow in his father's footstep but he wasn't interested in being a merchant. Initially he always wanted to be a knight. However, as time went on that dream seemed impossible. Instead, a pirate convinced him to sail the open seas and to be his man. Mason thought long and hard about this before deciding to become a pirate. // One day, he hopes to marry someone and settle down. // Hawky2581
Calypso Fiore // Calypso Fiore, which is a name she has given to herself, is a beautiful young woman. She stands to be roughly 5’5”, and her body is toned, yet curvy. She is very strong physically from doing labor on the ship and can hold her own in a fight. She is only about 23 years old, maybe a little older or maybe a little younger, she’s not sure. Her hair is thick, dark brown and always wavy and wild. She has lightly tanned skin, part naturally, part from being outside so often. Her face is striking with thick eyebrows, long eyelashes, and a widow’s peak. Most striking is her vibrant green eyes. They radiate knowledge and intensity and are magnetic. Lastly, she has a very intriguing tattoo that takes up the majority of her left form arm. Centrally placed is a very elaborate wasp. // Calypso is a very complicated woman, which naturally gives rise to rumors. Her captain of all people knows this. The biggest rumor about her is that she is a sorceress, an enchantress, a witch. She is very intelligent, loyal, and curious. Along with English, Calypso can speak Italian and Spanish. She is literate, being able to write and read English and Latin. This comes in handy, especially to some of her peers who cannot do so. She keeps a very detailed journal (she has accumulated several over the years) that she updates daily. Calypso is very well-versed in medicine. She is very capable in aiding in injuries and illnesses and does so frequently. Drawing and painting are other skills of hers. It is not that she has a natural gift for it, it is due to practice. Ever since Calypso was young, she has been sketching plants, animals, landscapes, people, whatever, just to keep her journal accurate. This is actually how she captured the attention of her current captain, who wished to have her portrait painted. Calypso, although reserved, mostly fills the “little sister” role on the ship. She is dedicated, trustworthy, and a great listener. Not only physically strong, she is mentally and emotionally strong. She is a leader in this sense. She can also dish it out just as well as she can take it. Calypso is not a flirt at all, she hates when she is hit on by men and women alike. She hates flirting and therefore does not, unless instructed to do so by her captain or quarter-master. It’s not that she is a prude, she just doesn’t care for the trivial. This is a woman who is intelligent and intrigued by the secular, she is not so easily impressed. Despite this, she is easily excited by new experiences and new places. She struggles with being tempted by such things, which sometimes gets her into trouble. // As previously mentioned, Calypso Fiore is not her birth name. But Calypso Fiore is who she is. Without giving away too much her father was an Italian explorer, financier, navigator and cartographer. An educated man obviously values education and allowed his daughter to be so. Although he adored his daughter, he refused to bring her along with him on his travels. This was a part of Calypso that was missing from her, she longed for it, to see and be more. Trying to suppress his daughter’s urges, he betrothed her to a man over twice her age. To escape this marriage, Calypso ran away and joined a pirate’s crew just as the ship was leaving the port. She was 17. // Crew member on The Siren’s Secret. Bisexual. // Pebble
Zandra Frost; 30 // Zandra is all graceful lines and powerful movements. She stands at the pretty average height of 5'6, and weighs around 140 pounds. She has a slim figure not lacking in curves, though they are on the small side; depending on her clothes, she can either enhance them, or make them disappear entirely. She is quite fit and stronger than she looks, and she carries herself with grace and confidence. She has trained for years in Kali, a style of martial arts that will later be known as FMA. As a result, almost all of her movements are the result of careful calculation; she rarely does anything by accident. Her skin is pale alabaster, smooth and unmarred. Her hair is long and sleek, grown to about shoulder-length and cut in jagged layers. It is a shade of pale blonde, almost frosty in hue. Her eyes are a pale blue, with flecks of blue a few shades darker around her pupils. The darker blue becomes more prominent when she gets emotional; it is often her only tell when she has her emotions otherwise masked. // Zandra is the embodiment of "ice queen." She is cool and reserved, fierce and independent. She doesn’t like being wrong, and she isn’t afraid to speak her mind. She uses sarcasm as a shield and her barbed tongue often does more damage than she intends. She’s not a social person, and small spaces are her enemies. She doesn’t make friends easily, but if she sees you as one, she’s loyal to a fault - but only a tad friendlier. Zandra doesn't act the way she does out of malice or cruelty, she simply does not know how to socialize. She has always been a loner and an introvert, and being around others tends to make her nervous. And like a cornered animal, those nerves turn her into fight mode. She rarely lashes out physically, but her verbal assaults can be just as painful. Zandra is a control freak, especially in regards to herself. Because of this, she isn't a fan of emotions since they are always so unpredictable. Zandra doesn't fear much, but loss of control is a big one. Despite this, Zandra does try not to be a witch all the time. She doesn't like hurting people; she's just terrified of being hurt herself, and self-preservation is a hard instinct to fight. Zandra doesn't make friends easily, and she isn't the easiest friend to have, but if you can overlook her barbed tongue and cynical attitude, she is a loyal and trustworthy person who will stand by your side through thick and thin - she'll just do it her way. // History // Other // ✧☽ ᴅʀᴇᴀᴍᴇʀ ᴀɴᴅ ᴅᴏᴇʀ ☾✧
The Morning Glory
Captain: Henna Barbara-Thorne, "The Youngster" Henna is a young woman at the age of 22. Her hair is a light sandy blonde, with lighter highlights and darker roots. Her hair long and windswept, it usually falls in tangled curls, a mess from being on sea. Her eyes are a diluted green, almost yellow in certain lighting. And if her younger age wasn't enough to make those doubt her, she stands at 5'4, shorter than almost everyone. Even so, her lightly tanned skin is rough, with scarred hands and hard ;muscles. She has a scar that runs down her right collarbone, and a tattoo of a leviathan design on her left hip and along her lower back. She wears looser threads, as she cares not for being restricted, and her left ear is pierced twice, with two golden studs. Her only other recognizable clothing is her plain brown captain hat. She is skilled in the sword and pistol.// Daring and reckless, Henna's plans are always a risk. She doesn't hesitate to jump into battle. However, this attitude pays off more than not, as she is highly unpredictable and that makes her dangerous. She believes that nothing is impossible, and so she never backs down. She is highly intelligent, learning quickly from her and other's mistakes. Ambitious, she aims for the top. She doesn't like to be underestimated, especially due to her size and age. In fact, she is faster and harder to read because of it. She is quite charming as well, loyal to her crew and one to listen to advice (mostly). She has a strange sense of morals, twisted due to piracy. However, one thing remains the same, she refuses to kill civilians. // Once upon a time, Henna was the daughter of a noble governor. How a young noble girl such as herself came to piracy was a harsher tale that she never mentions. Her parents were overthrown the eve of Henna's seventh birthday, and she witnessed her parents die in front of her eyes. Forced to live on the run, Henna had no where to go, and in order to flee the country she hopped aboard a ship in the harbor. That ship was none other than a pirate ship, and the young girl was soon discovered. Henna, by some miracle, managed to convince the pirates to allow her to join the crew, and pretended to be just a hopeful young boy to do it. Years later, she is now one of the most well-known captains on the water. // Other // *ᴿᵃᶤᶰᶜᵃˡˡᵉʳ*
Quarter Master: Kyler Abbott Kyler Abbott // Standing at 5'8", the 32-year-old pirate has beautiful long brown hair that sometimes looks like a lions mane if unkempt. His eyes are a gray hazel, usually full of joy and his skin is tanned from constant sun exposure but he doesn't mind. There are wrinkles around his eyes from constantly smiling and laughing. His nose is long and straight while his jaw is unshaved but trimmed. While he's lean, Kyler doesn't have much muscle definition compared to other men. He isn't one to work manually very often to keep up his physique. // Impossibly flirty and has a knack for getting himself into danger. He enjoys drinking and women and laughing in general. But he can also be deadly serious. Kyler can act very fatherly with a lot of his crew and especially his Captain. While he teases her and responds with sarcastic or sassy comments, he puts a lot of trust in his captain. His first reaction isn't to fight anyone but to talk it out. If they don't want to work it out then a fight it is. He's also very stubborn.// As a boy, Kyler hated the sea. It was something that he didn't understand and didn't want to. His father was a blacksmith so no one had to even pressure him to try and sail. Well, not until his friend showed up. When the boys were 20 they stole a boat and sailed out to the sea with little to no skills. Kyler got a thrill from stealing and ended up making a habit of it. This habit got him in trouble with a pirate captain who forced him to work on his ship which is where he learned to man a ship. Years passed and he became a well-respected crew member rising in the ranks quickly. His love for the ocean eventually grew as well, but it's still wary to this day. He still very much loves to steal though.// Quartermaster of the Morning Glory // LeopardHeart

Genevieve Highbrooke // Genevieve "Genny" Highbrooke is twenty-six years old, and stands at roughly 5'3". She has a build on the muscular side, due to her copious years of training. Despite her time on the water, Genevieve is pale, and unfortunately burns quite easily. Her ginger hair does her no favors as a pirate. It is cut short and slightly wavy, and is styled much like Joan of Arc's famed hairdo. Her cheeks are always slightly rosy. She has a sloped, round nose and full lips. If any part of her is to speak for her youthfulness and energy, it's her bright green eyes. Her face shape is round as well, making her appear a little younger than she actually is. Genevieve likes to wear traditional pirate garb, or whatever feels comfortable to her. She is most often seen wearing a plain white blouse, with a few of the top buttons undone. Her weapon of choice is a curved shortsword. // From a young age, Genevieve idolized her father. He was exactly what she wanted to be - strong, prideful, and resolved. As she grew older, she began to inherit these traits as well. Unfortunately, the prideful side of her began to inflate as she trained to be a mercenary with her father. She prefers to fight first, and ask questions later. This also leads her to being more of a stubborn type, and always speaks her mind. Genevieve bears extreme guilt for her previous live as a mercenary, so in turn, she cares deeply for those she is close to. Deep down she feels like she knows what is right, but is attempting to learn to listen to her shipmates. On the regular, she has a relatively cheerful mood. She is extroverted, and generally gets along with those on her ship. Genevieve likes to crack jokes and be in a lighthearted environment, while still taking battle and the glory of victory seriously. She honors loyalty and trust, and despises those who lie to get ahead. // Genevieve was born into a family of devoutly religious folk. But the combination of her mother's nunship and father being a part of a small mercenary band equaled not much money, and not a lot of food on the table. At the young age of seventeen, she begged her father to secure her a spot as a mercenary. With money on the brain, he reluctantly accepted. His side of the contract was one and only request - he would be the one to train her. This resulted in three years of constant sparring and learning mercenary code. She was a determined one, he gave her that. As soon as she was knocked down, she would get back up. "Another!" Genevieve constantly demanded. As her training grew more rigorous, her mother saw her less and less. Coupled with the long hours she spent in the ministry, her mother began to worry that the mercenary life would soon consume her. Unfortunately, she would find out soon enough to be right. Meanwhile, at twenty-one, Genevieve was well invested. The mercenaries divided into several companies, and with the help of her father, she was put in charge of her own. They had recently been expanding and began to take on some seafaring endeavors. Despite her mother's worries and father's apprehension, Genevieve signed on right away. It was rough on the water one night, and Genevieve's crew was on the hunt for a notorious pirate gang for some extra money. They did eventually come across pirates, to which Genevieve suggested they attack immediately. However, the crew and some of her closest shipmates weren't completely certain it was the right bounty, and exhaustion was a creeping concern. But Genevieve's bull-headed judgement won over the crew. The battle was long and very, very bloody. Her want for praise and victory had clouded her senses, and it cost the lives of her comrades and friends. As the pirates boarded her ship and slaughtered all they could find, the least she could do was hold her own. "Another! Another!" She screamed as she downed the pirates that crossed her. This took notice of the captain, and instead of ending her life like most of the crew, they captured her instead. For about a year she served on the ship she was captive on, and then her recovered hubris struck again. During a firefight with an opposing ship, she mutinied and joined the pirates she currently serves with. Her life, as far as she is concerned now, will never be a stable one. // Crew Member of the Morning Glory // vakarian
The Broken Dagger
Captain: Lillith Killoran, "The Merciless" Lilith is a young woman of about the age of 30 to 32. Maybe a little older but nobody really knows for sure, she doesn't exactly chat about her birthday with people. She looks rather intimating, standing tall at around 6 foot and with an athletic sort of figure; she's clearly been on the seas long enough. She doesn't have tattoos, but that's possibly because nobody would dare go near her with a needle. She does, however, have a lot of scars. One sits on her collarbone, one splits her right eyebrow in two, and one lies parallel with her jaw on the left side of her face, only a little above it. And those are just to name a few. Her ears are pierced and she tends to just wear small gold hoops in them or something like that. She is all monochromatic, with pale skin, light grey eyes framed by long, jet-black lashes and dark hair which falls to about her chest and she tends to keep in a braid tied with a strip of leather. The only thing that might soften things are the freckles dotting her skin. Otherwise, her features are quite sharp, with high cheekbones, a sharp nose and defined brows. She's a very attractive woman, in a very intense sort of way, but you'd be a fool to fall for her outer beauty. // I mean, there isn't much to say about Lilith apart from that she's pretty horrible. She is intelligent, manipulative, cunning, of course, and an excellent strategist, but she's also cruel and bloodthirsty. If you stand in her way, she'll not hesitate to kill you. She's been known to kill her own crew if they hold her back. She calls herself a pragmatist, but most just say she lacks empathy, because, heck, sometimes she'll even kill you just for the adrenaline kick. She's ambitious and will stop at nothing to get what she wants. She's determined and relentless, not only when chasing her own goals but also when seeking revenge. Lilith is a dangerous woman to have on your side, sure, given her unpredictability and general cruelness, but she's an even more dangerous woman to not have on your side. If you have her as your enemy you will not survive. She will chase you down if it takes her years. But, Lilith is desperate to figure herself out. To find her goals and chase them. She wants to make something of herself, and she doesn't care how she has to do it. // Lilith doesn't talk about her past, she flat refuses to. But if you got her to open up you'd find out that she was from a noble family who were sailing on the seas on a trip to some social engagement or another in a foreign country. Lilith may have been about eight or nine. The ship was raided by pirates and the crew found her hiding below the deck of the ship, a sword in her hand in case she had to fight for her life. The rest is history, as they say. She became a captain and one of the most ruthless and feared pirates on the ocean. //Other // ✿ ѕємρєя мαgιѕ ✿
Quarter Master: Artem Corcer Standing at a respectable 5'10, Artem Corcer is not often overlooked, though his stature is also likely not the first feature one is bound to notice. At age 34, he is in great health. His build is well-balanced; shoulders set wider than hips, and his arms and legs are visibly muscular even beneath his black pants and loose white shirt, over which he has a black vest. This man is strong, and, after years of combat, is also agile and not to be thought slow. Attached to his belt, he harbors his biting sword, Solasciathan, along with a reverse-grip dagger and a silver pistol. Artem's facial features are less daunting. For example, he has the smile and dimples of a young boy, and perhaps this is why he doesn't smile much. A strong jawline compliments his oval face. He is always clean-shaven, or at most with some scruff. Thick, defined eyebrows above hazel eyes give him a constant look of anger, though un-furrowed. He keeps his dark brown hair cut short enough for battle, and stands with his feet spread apart, ready to spring into action at any moment. He speaks with a low tenor voice, often just loud enough to be heard, though Artem is often the one who starts singing the shanties when they are on the open sea, during which he is most likely to smile, if a bit sadly. // Personality: Once upon a time, Artem had a kind soul, and perhaps still does, but trials over the years have changed his perspective, and although he might miss it, he is not eager to go back to a time before he could be called a pirate. In a word, Artem is intense, believing now that the only way to take care of loved ones is to leave them. And why not? Everyone dies eventually, and he would rather keep an eye on potential enemies than pretend they didn't exist. Of course, this doesn't mean he sees all pirates as enemies. Rather, he is only after one pirate, though even after so many years of hunting, he has come no closer to an answer and finds his anger turned on all those he deems 'bad'. Artem, though he used to be friendly toward any that crossed his path, has become silently vengeful and intends to eradicate those that prey on the innocent, which is difficult to do considering he is technically one of them, by name at least and the company he keeps. Artem is clever enough to fly under the radar, killing only when he has to, and only when his superiors agree with him. His most violent acts demonstrate a want of mercy, because he knows what he is doing is just. His interactions with colleagues that have not given him reason to suspect treachery are less savage, though his countenance is ever guarded, so it is blatantly clear to anyone that he doesn't trust them. A reserved man by nature, Artem has abounding patience and grace towards the weaker members of society, and other pirates that are more hesitant to take part in the bloody aspects of the job. He has earned the respect of his crew mates and some authority due to his bravery and determination. He fears nothing more than failure. Words like valor and chivalry define him, and in his own way, is always striving to be better for the sake of humanity, not because of pride or ambition. Artem is allowed to be the 'good guy' on the ship and play devil's advocate, or in this case, promoter of the cause of the people wherever he goes because the others know he can be harsh when questioned. He believes it his personal mission to protect the innocent, and to do this, he has decided that he must end all pirates or die trying to find the one who he really blames for everything. // History: Artem, who was born into a poor family of sailors, grew up working on the waves, hauling merchants' wares and transporting people. He was trained to defend them against pirates, but Artem was a dreamer, and longed for more. Around the time he turned fourteen, his parents retired, leaving him in charge of their ship and business, but he knew he wanted to be a singer, and perform for people at extravagant parties. However, he found a new dream when he met Jane. They were both young, barely twenty, and Artem quickly fell in love. They were married before a year had gone, and when they thought about the years to come, they were happy with the way they thought their life together would be. They couldn't have seen the unhappy ending waiting for them. Just a few years later, Jane, 7 months pregnant with Artem's child, disappeared during her morning walk. He found her just as the sun was setting, floating in the sandy shallows, and no one could tell him why. After fierce investigation, he became convinced that one of the pirates who regularly stopped in the minuscule port town had killed his wife. With nothing to keep him there, he left home in his small schooner, the idea of revenge in his head and no plan to see it through, not even a name to hunt. Artem came across The Broken Dagger in this way, brought aboard by the captain before the current one, working his way up the ranks to become quartermaster under Lillith's command, and that is how he has survived for ten years. // "How can I be substantial if I do not cast a shadow? Crew: Leia Saunders Leia is an older woman at 42, with a slim yet tall figure. She is 5'9" and has leathery skin from being out at sea her whole life. Her reddish brown hair is in small dread locks, with silver beads and clams sprinkled throughout her hair. Leia has a long, sharp nose and generally sharp features, with slender, arched eyebrows and she never wears any makeup. The woman is never seen without her headscarf and weathered old hat, which is bent upwards on one side. Practically all of her wardrobe is made of brown, worn out leather, thus speaking to her overall weathered appearance. // Leia has a stern, slightly bitter personality. She doesn't handle relationships of any kind well, and prefers to stick to herself. The woman does her duties, somewhat begrudgingly, but overall is a good crew member.// When she was a teen, she ran away to be with a pirate who promised her the world. But, after only a few months, she was abandoned at port, pregnant, and alone. Once the baby was born, she gave her up for adoption and immediately found a position as a crew member on another ship. Ever since, she has been waiting to get revenge on her lost lover, and has no idea what happened to her daughter. // Other // 𝐸𝓁𝑜𝓆𝓊𝑒𝓃𝓉𝒟𝓇𝑒𝒶𝓂𝑒𝓇
Brockton Denholme // Brockton is a large man. He is only 28 years old but looks older and stands at around 7', weighing over 400 lbs, with a muscular build. His hair is dark, pushed back over his head, and he has a long, thick beard. The man has many tattoos, the most prominent are the intricate black designs spanning over his chest and down his arms. His small eyes are brown, with bushy eyebrows and a crooked nose. He has a thick neck and broad chest, and his face seems to always be stuck in a cruel look. He never wears shirts, only putting on a jacket when the weather gets bad. // Brockton isn't the cleverest of men. He is gullible, unable to tell when someone lies. He barely speaks, and the most he says at once is around five words. He is illiterate, unable to read or write, and doesn't even recognize his own written name. The man is, however, strong. He can lift many things without help, and his grip is like iron. He favors blunt weapons over sharp. As such, he uses a club instead of a sword, as he does not have any training in swordsmanship. He lacks common sense and is likely to take a challenge without hesitation, and he always fights first, as he cares not for conversation. A man of action, he follows any orders he is given without question. He lacks morals, and doesn't care what he does, as long as he is told to do it. He isn't a pirate to think, he is a pirate for money and killing. He has no loyalties, and will betray someone just as fast as he would join them. // Brockton is the son of a blacksmith. Raised in a forge, he learned the makings of all kinds of items. He was a violent boy, fighting when he could. At the age of 16, he made a decision for himself. Upon coming across pirates at a tavern, he was asked to join the crew, as he was a large and strong boy even at that age. This is the moment he thought for himself, and chose not to continue his father's trade, joining the pirates instead. Two years later, he left the crew, as another pirate challenged him to a fight and Brockton bashed in the man's head. He ended up joining another crew for a few years, only for the crew to be captured by the Navy. One of the few pirates that lived through the capture, mainly due to him barely reacting to any damage, he lived to see the Navy ship attacked by more pirates, and joined them in sinking the ship. He switched crews a few more times over the years, and is now here. // Crew on The Broken Dagger // *ᴿᵃᶤᶰᶜᵃˡˡᵉʳ*
Reyes Farrow, 28 // Reyes can be rather eye catching, but not because he has flashy colouring or a demanding presence. He isn't even perfectly handsome, though he is often considered attractive. But Reyes doesn't like attention, and therefore does nothing to try and enhance his appearance or attract attention. He wears loose, dark clothes to hide his well-muscled physique. His years in underground fit rings has left him very fit, with broad shoulders, abs, and a narrow waist. He stands at a rather imposing 6 foot 3, and he weighs about 170 pounds. He has dusky tanned skin, with a scattering of scars of various shapes and sizes, as well as a couple of tattoos, on his arms and torso. His tattoos are mostly simple yet elaborate black designs, scrolling from his wrists up to his shoulders and across his chest, and it stops just above his abdomen. His hair is raven-wing black, and he keeps it cut short. Not quite to his skull, but still with very little hair to grab. It is shorter on the sides than it is on the top and back of his head, and it looks messy and unkempt, because he is often running his hands through it. Reyes has very interesting eyes. They're a deep, dark brown, but they tend to flare with hints of amber when he is emotional. His eyes have always been his best tell when trying to figure out what he's thinking or feeling. He has his poker face mastered quite well, but oftentimes his emotions still slip through in his eyes. // Reyes is not, and never has been, a very easy person to get along with. He is often portrayed as rude, sarcastic, and cynical. He is always blunt, sometimes brutally so. He speaks his mind, and he doesn't bother to filter or sugarcoat anything. But the upside to this is you will rarely hear Reyes speak a lie; he sees no point in it, as secrets hardly ever stay that way. He is fiercely determined and quietly arrogant; he hates quitting and while he doesn't exactly strut around with an "I'm the best" attitude, he does carry himself with confidence and assertiveness. Reyes is a leader, not a follower. He hates taking orders unless he knows and respects the person giving them, but he's not exactly the best leader either; he just has a bad habit of barking orders and expecting them to be obeyed. He does, however, have good instincts and generally the orders he gives are stemmed from well-thought out plans. Reyes is incredibly smart, almost ridiculously so. He doesn't make a big deal of it, and he certainly doesn't express it, but he loves learning new things, about all things, and he has a memory like a steel trap. He's very tactical, and time and experience has made him very good at difficult split-second decisions and thinking on his feet. Reyes is slow to trust, but once you've earned it, he is fiercely loyal and he can often be a bit over-protective. He has never allowed himself to care too deeply for anyone, and at this point in time he has no intentions of changing that. Reyes is brave and fearless, sometimes even reckless, when facing just about everything, but he is terrified to lose those closest to him. // History // Other // ✧☽ ᴅʀᴇᴀᴍᴇʀ ᴀɴᴅ ᴅᴏᴇʀ ☾✧

Captain: Nathaniel "Nathan" Wright // Nathan has medium length, blonde hair that he likes to either keep messy, combed back or spiky. He has bright blue eyes and a mischievous smile that never leaves his lips. He is fairly tall standing at around 5'10 and has a athletic looking build. He has a short beard that he likes to keep trimmed. Nathaniel has both of his ears pieced and wears a golden necklace. Usually, he can be seen wearing expensive or extravagant clothing. He plans on getting a few tattoos much to the crew's surprise. He is 30 years old. // Nathan is interesting to say the least. Unlike other pirate captains, Nathan thrives on cleanliness. He dislikes his crew being smelly or dirty and urges them to actually wash themselves. He takes great pride in his appearance, and makes sure the ship is always looking great. He is a bit of a drama king and has been known to start fights and rivalries over petty things. Nathaniel adores jewels and valuable items and will do whatever it takes to get them. He is possessive over his property, and will give out harsh punishment to anyone who tries stealing from him. Most underestimate Nathan, thinking he is just a pushover. However, Nathaniel is known to be ruthless and won't hesitate to kill. He has a large ego and is easily swayed if coin or jewels are involved. // Nathaniel was born to a wealthy family and had his life planned out for him. He was meant to marry a lovey lady and be a proper heir to the family name. However, he disliked this and found himself longing for something else. He ended up hopping on a ship and never looking back. To make the long story short, he ended up joining some pirates, learning their ways and gaining a ship and crew of his own. // He has a ginger cat named Rosemary and a long haired white cat named Precious. He has a certain affinity for diamonds and other rare or just shiny looking valuables. // Hawky2581
Quarter Master: Apollo Hendrix; 26 // At first glance, Apollo looks like a high school golden boy. He stands just over six feet tall, and weighs close to 160 pounds. He has a runner's build, and semi-broad shoulders from hours practicing with his bow. His natural physique is on the leaner side, but he's still packing a considerable amount of muscle. Apollo is naturally a little tanned, but his skin tends to get a bit darker and golden-hued after a couple hours in the sun. The only pale parts of him are the scattering of small to medium-sized scars on his torso, arms, and legs. He received most of them from training, but one particularly bad one on his lower left stomach he got from a fight with a particularly aggressive "friend" when he was young. Apollo's hair is a dark blond. It tends to lighten a bit in the summer, becoming more golden-ish, and darkens in the winter, so it looks more brownish. He tends to keep it on the shorter side, short in back but a little longer on top. If grown any longer, it would be slightly wavy and "totally unmanageable." As it is, he always tends to have a slight bad bedhead look going on. Apollo's eyes are a lovely shade of sea-green, and framed by long, dark blond lashes. There are a few brilliant blue flecks around the irises, which are most prominent when hit by sunlight. // Apollo lives life on the edge. He’s a risk-taker and a go-getter. He doesn’t abide by any rules but his own, and he’s not afraid of anything. He is charming, funny, and smart. His live-life-in-the-moment attitude often gets him into trouble, but he refuses to “grow up.” He’s not ignorant of real world choices and responsibilities; he just chooses not to accept them as his reality and lives life the way he wants to. He’s loyal to those close to him, but slow to trust. He can be selfish and self-centered, but he’s also honest and genuine. // History // Other // ✧☽ ᴅʀᴇᴀᴍᴇʀ ᴀɴᴅ ᴅᴏᴇʀ ☾

Morrígan “Morgan” Carney, "The Explorer"
Thin and lean, 25 year old Carney is approximately 5’8”. The young woman has long messy auburn hair that no matter what the hairstyle is almost always in her eyes. She keeps it long both because she doesn’t feel a need to cut it and also because she likes watching the wind play with it. She has very gentle features causing others to be wary when she claims to be captain of The Flying Pearl. Despite her being constantly out in the sun, Carney has pale skin and rather than growing tan during her time out at sea, she gains freckles everywhere. Her light green eyes are full of mischief and dart around constantly as if looking for the next adventure. She has straight white teeth, an obvious sign that she was born into wealth, and is almost always smiling. Morrígan sports a shallow scar down her left cheek running parallel to her jaw bone that she loves to show off. She has a tattoo of a Celtic knot on her right shoulder blade and the first lines of a prayer written in Gaelic on her rib cage under her left arm. A flock of small ravens fly over her collarbones as an homage to the Irish goddess of fate she was named after. // Morrígan is the happiest girl on the seven seas. She has dreamt of this her whole life and can now happily say that she is the captain of her own ship, and a very well known captain at that. The crew teases her about having the luck of the Irish and she firmly believes in it because her journeys are always successful and memorable. She realizes she might be immature as she turns giddy at the mention of a new adventure to take or a new land to sail to, but Carney and her crew are both content with their lives. Any hardship that befalls her ship is quickly fixed due to her optimism and bravery and she doesn’t let her mind linger on that fact because she doesn’t want to ruin a good thing. Life isn’t perfect but one’s view on life can make it more bearable if they try. She’s a sweet woman, very thoughtful and caring but her courage makes her a feared opponent despite her kind smile. It’s almost funny to see such a gentle creature turn into a murderous beast so quickly but also reassuring to her crew as it was her passion and fearlessness that convinced them to join her. She’s really out here living her best life, she thoroughly enjoys her days and could spend the rest of her life evading capture and anonymously sending her family money. The reason her crew is so successful and live such a peaceful life despite their lifestyle is that they tend to stay away from other pirates as they carry the most trouble. She is a firm believer in fate and destiny and is a free spirit. Through her many travels and open-mindedness towards adventures, she has accumulated a wide range of facts and is highly knowledgeable. Yet despite her kindness and likable personality, she has few friends outside of her crew and is more known by her reputation than by encounters. // Morrígan is the youngest daughter of a very well known and extremely wealthy merchant in Southern Ireland. Being the cleverest of his children, Morrígan often traveled with him on his journeys and became quickly acquainted with the adventurous lifestyle while sailing on The Flying Pearl. When she turned fifteen, her father revealed that he was loosing money and had to sell the ship. Morrígan ran away and spent the next three years doing jobs with different crews to be able to send more to her family to help them become stable and start their own merchant business. Almost immediately after, she found her father’s ship being used as a fisherman’s boat and bought it for herself. Having worked with the best of the best, Morrígan recruited herself a crew and embraced the pirate’s life, eager for adventures she could enjoy now that her family once again prospered and she no longer had to worry for them. // Few alive know her last name as she doesn’t want to be tied back to her family. She isn’t proud of her treasonous life style but she provides for her family. She can’t see herself living a life on land, she’s addicted to the pirate life as she’s an adrenaline junkie. Carney has a very heavy Irish accent and proud to live up to the Irish stereotype of being overly kind and loving of potatoes. // liz

He has blonde hair with a slight ginger tinge to it that he keeps cropped close to his head, usually having been roughly cut with a dagger. He has pale blue, green eyes that are a bit on the smaller side, with large ears that stand out. He has an array of necklaces that he has collected from their various travels, mementos of his time as a pirate. He usually wears a light weight shirt, tucked into pants with a leather belt, and is never seen without his favorite rapier. // Selah is a fairly quiet man who does his duty, nothing more, nothing less. Jesse Newman Jesse is 25 years of age. He is tall with quite an athletic build, though he isn't very muscled. He is clearly more built for speed than strength. His skin is quite weathered and tanned due to all of his time on the ocean. and he does have a few tattoos from his travels, though he doesn't get them as often as other pirates might do. He also has a few scars, particularly on his arms and his torso. His hair a curly and a very dark brown, and it goes to about the nape of his neck because he doesn't really like it too short. His eyes are his most fascinating feature, though, as they are icy blue, a great contrast to his dark hair. He has facial hair, but he doesn't let it grow too long. He just has a rough, short beard. He also has dimples on his cheeks, that only show when he smiles, which is quite a lot. He's overall quite an attractive young man, all said and done. // // Jesse is generally loud and a bit of a jokester. He likes to mess around and doesn't appear to take anything too seriously. He's also quite intelligent and witty. Some see him as a little obnoxious or theatrical, and maybe they find it irritating that he isn't particularly down to earth, but you have to say one thing for this man; he might mess around a lot, but he isn't workshy. He always does his fair share of any task. And if you can get him to be serious he's an incredibly useful and intelligent man to have on board a ship. You just have to handle him right. Jesse's main issue is that he sees himself only in the way others see him. He takes other people's judgements to heart and cares a lot about what people think. He is quite stubborn and follows his own unique set of morals, which can sometimes get him in trouble when it comes to following orders; he's a little bit of a maverick and has been known to take matters into his own hands during battles when the inspiration strikes him.// // Jesse had always wanted to be a sailor ever since he was a boy, but when he applied for the Navy at the age of 18 he was rejected because he failed the medical due to a problem with his leg. A pirate heard about him telling a friend about this in a tavern and encouraged him to come on board the Flying Pearl with him. Since then, Jesse's leg has healed and he is proving a valuable and well-loved member of the crew. Well-loved most of the time, anyway. // //Crew member on the Flying Pearl// ƤαƖƖαѕ ✧
Rinn Horineth // Rinn is young, only 18 years old. Her dark hair falls over her shoulders, long with small curls. It fluffs over her head, and she usually has a bandana tied over it so it doesn't fall in her face. Her eyes are a golden hazel, shining with excitement and wonder. Her skin is a soft caramel. She is more towards a pear shape, her chest smaller than her hips. Rinn typically wears a white tunic with blue and gold accents. It gives her free movement. Her leggings are light brown, with thin dark boots that only go a little up past her ankles. Her also wears a thin blue cloak and hood, along with a necklace baring the crest of her family. // Rinn can easily be considered a charmer. She is excitable, cheery, and optimistic. She rarely makes enemies and seems to get along with people very well. However, she tends to be in her own little world, missing pieces of conversation or not knowing exactly what she is going along with. She is creative though, coming up with different ideas and making her own music. She plays multiple instruments, from drums to pan flutes, but her favorite instrument by far is the lute, have one made of expensive dark wood with the pattern of an octopus in gold around the center. And though she chooses not to focus on her voice, she can sing quite well, and she loves to dance as she plays. She loves animals and has a strange friendship with them. She hates fighting, and isn't all that good at it. She can easily be beaten in one, and so tries her hardest to find a way around confrontations. She isn't the best in knowing how things work, but she is at home when among people, being the socialite she is. // Rinn is mainly of Spanish descent, and her family is of nobility. However, her father disappeared into the unknown, as if he had never existed, when she was only three years of age. Her mother abandoned her shortly after, disappearing to never be heard of again. She and her two siblings were left without alone until taken in by her mother's parents, who than raised the three children themselves. Her elder sister Ridaro went into music, and found her calling in song, becoming a well known and very popular singer. Rinn, however, took mainly to instruments, and performed at taverns, with none being any the wiser of her name and her connections. She decided to leave her home for adventure when she found herself being connected to her more talented sister and came across a treasure map. Though young, she quickly found a place in the world, sometimes performing at taverns for money. Though not everything goes smoothly for her, such as when she made an enemy out of a man whom hated her music or when she accidentally joined a cult, but in the end, her only regret is not being able to take along her younger brother, Rael, as he had sustained an injury to his leg. // She has a blue racer snake by the name of Cornelius II. She also has a pet hermit crab by the name of Sir Crawford Keswick the First, which she bought off a merchant. // *ᴿᵃᶤᶰᶜᵃˡˡᵉʳ*

Kieran Dunnan "The Drunkard" // Kieran is a short and somewhat scrawny man, 23 years of age. He stands at 5'6" tall. His hair is black and somewhat long, extending to where his neck connects to his head. His skin is fair, though it's been tanned from his time under the sun. His outfit consists of a stolen coat belonging to a royal captain and a tricorn hat. Both have been decorated and adjusted to fit his needs. He has a series of tattoos all over his body, each varying in meaning. He bears his flag's depiction of a squid on his left shoulder. // Kieran has a moderately charismatic air about him. He's quick to crack a joke and often tries to cheer a friend up with such. Though he'll choose an easy option faster than he would one that's easy, he won't shy away from something that'll put gold in his coffers quickly. He'll be the first to come up with a wild scheme to get rich easily. // Born the son of a soldier, Kieran learned discipline and had an education at an early age. He lost his mother and father when the ship they'd been traveling on for a small trading voyage had been attacked by pirates. Kieran was spared due to his age and was kept as the crew's pet of sorts. He never saw his parents again.
As time went on, the boy showed an aptitude for the role of a commander of men. He went on to spark a mutiny of his captain's ship, celebrating his new role as captain with a celebration at a port, spending a couple of days at a tavern. He developed a love for drink, and found himself often carrying a bottle of rum whenever he could. // Other // Rascal

Tavern Wenches/Ladies of the Night: Clara Henry // This young twenty year old woman has dark, curled almost black hair that she often sweeps over one shoulder. Clara eyes are large and bright blue, framed by dark lashes. Her skin is pale, like porcelain, and has a slight pinkish tone on her cheeks. Her nose small and delicate, slightly curved upwards. The wench has a curvy figure that she uses to her advantage, and is around 5'7". She often wears dark, revealing dresses that show off her curves. // Clara is a flirtatious girl who uses her looks and job to earn a living, as well as to gain information. She sells the secrets she learns to anyone willing to pay. She can be manipulative, but isn't willing to risk her life for any cause. Her loyalties lie with the highest bidder, rather than with one side or another. She works at the local tavern/inn, serving drinks and food, and, for the right price, will serve as a companion for the night. // Other // ℰ𝓁𝑜𝓆𝓊𝑒𝓃𝓉 𝒟𝓇𝑒𝒶𝓂𝑒𝓇
Ada Saunders // //Ada is a young woman of about 20 or 21. She's not entirely sure of her age; she was never told it. She's quite petite, standing at 5 foot 4 inches. She has a striking appearance; her thick, wavy hair is a dark brown, so dark it looks black. It falls to about her mid-back. Her eyes are also dark, a deep green colour with a gold ring around the iris. She has delicate features, with high cheekbones and a face shapes like an inverted-triangle, with a defined jaw and chin. She has freckles all over her face, though they are particularly concentrated across the bridge of her nose. She has golden, tanned skin and a slim figure; she's pretty much straight-up-and-down, lacking in curves.// //Ada is quiet, generally being quite shy around people she doesn't know. This does make her an excellent listener, though, and while she's not a gossip, people often trust her with their secrets and she is particularly good at eavesdropping. But if you want to find out these secrets you'd have to be pretty close to her because she doesn't spill details to just anybody. She's intelligent and thoughtful, though she suffers from social anxiety and a lot of self-doubt. This is because underneath her quiet exterior, she overthinks everything and feels things incredibly deeply. She is an idealist and a romantic, though her meek and nervous nature might prevent her from pursuing the ideals she dreams about. Her soft heart can make her easily manipulated, though it also makes her approachable and unintimidating.// // Ada doesn't know much about her past apart from that she was put up for adoption with a note saying that her name was Ada Saunders. She was then adopted by the tavern owner, and was allowed to keep her surname. She grew up watching how the tavern worked, how people came in and out and spent their time. She loved to people-watch. When she was old enough, she started to work at the tavern. She slowly but surely made friends with the other women working there, and she's as close as sisters to the other tavern wenches.// //Other // ✿ ѕємρєя мαgιѕ ✿
Gerard Cummings // Gerard is a handsome man, standing at 5'11. He is 26 years old. His hair is slightly curly and brown. His eyes are a hazel green. The man is muscular, but not the strongest. He has lightly tanned skin and a strong jaw with a bit of a shadow. He has a tattoo of a blooming rose on the left side of his lower back. He wears what appears to be typical wear, the only thing truly sticking out is his heavy coat lined with soft furs. // Gerard is a charming man with a tendency to flirt. Though he prefers woman, he has been known to switch to men from time to time. He is humble, but not generous. He will take any money given to him, but offer none in return. He is decently educated, and is known to hold interesting conversations on beliefs and the world. He is bold, unafraid to approach any that catch his eye. He seems selfish, as he shows no true care for others problems and focuses more on himself, but in truth it is because he has his family to care for. // Gerard is the youngest of three, with an older half-brother named Bernard (same father) and an elder sister named Anisha. His father, Eliza, died young at the age of twenty, one year after Gerard's birth. He was a hard worker that went into the Navy. Gerard idolises the man, but never found himself good enough to follow in his father's footsteps. His brother went into the Navy as soon as he could, but Gerard decided just to get a job at a tavern near his home, where he could help his sister take care of their mother, Ashleigh. His brother and him stay in contact, and Gerard looks forward to the letters his brother writes. Gerard has had multiple relationships, though none worked out. // Works at the tavern // *ᴿᵃᶤᶰᶜᵃˡˡᵉʳ*
Kenna Eden // Soft features framed by curly red hair that is always neatly done, Kenna stands at 5'6". This 20 year old woman has light blue eyes and pink lips that have a slight up turn to them. She always makes it a point to look her best and show off her best assets. She looks young and nonthreatening which she uses to her advantage. Especially since she has a thick french accent, people tend to think she doesn't speak english very well. // Charming and kind, Kenna enjoys gossiping. Especially, if it's information she can use and pass on to someone that might pay her well. Despite her name (which means Born of Fire), She doesn't have a violent bone in her body. She can be pretty meek and crumbles under violent confrontation. // Raised in France, Kenna learned that she must find the finer things in life. Well, finer led her to being married off to some wealthy older man she didn't know who had already been married previously four times. There was also a rumor that the man's wives tended to disappear without a trace. Not agreeing with her fate, Kenna ran off towards freedom. After a year of being homeless, she was brought in to the Tavern and given a place to stay. She has called it home ever since. // Tavern Wench/Lady of the Night // LeopardHeart

Branton Fletcher // A muscular 5’10” man with angular features, short blonde hair that's swept back, and thick stubble covering his face. His skin is tanned from constantly being out to sea. His eyes are an intense and serious stormy blue. His mouth seems to be permanently turned downward in a frown. He is always pretty serious. Which is unfortunate for the 34-year-old man as he is fairly handsome. During his early years as young sailor, Branton's ship was attacked and he had to defend the cargo they were carrying. During the battle he turned his back on the enemy and was shot in the abdomen right above his hip. Luckily for him, the bullet went through and wasn't lodged into his side. However, the wound scarred to where there was a small entry scar in the back and a much larger exit scar on the front of his hip. There some minor bags under Branton's eyes from lack of sleep and a bit of stress. His attire is that of a Navy officers. Dark navy blue or Red coats for formal and active duty situations and long casual coats when off duty or trying to blend in. // Cold, and intimidating. He expects results when he asks for them. So, not really the easiest person to become friends with. He is a by the book sort of person and expects everyone else to be the same way. Because of his history with pirates, he absolutely despises them. He also knows now not to ever turn his back on his enemy. If you do ever gain Branton's trust, he is a very loyal friend and will defend you until there is no need to do so anymore. He hardly smiles genuinely for anyone. Only for the people that he likes and even that's rare. Otherwise, he just has a cold expression on his face. // Born to the son of a wealthy merchant, Branton always had dreams of sailing on the ocean. At one point he even thought about running away and becoming a pirate. The wild thoughts of a foolish young boy. Instead, he joined the ranks of the British Navy were as close to pirating as he could get. And among those years is when he learned to hate pirates of any kind. From there, he's had multiple run ins with pirates which only confirmed his disgust for them. He's become hardened during his time out on the sea and doesn't see any chance of him settling down any time soon.// British Captain (if that's alright) // LeopardHeart
Casper Orion; 24 // Cas stands at a respectable six feet tall, with a well-built physique acquired through years of hard work and labour. His skin is dusky and tanned from hours spent in sunlight and harsh weather, and he has a scattering of small scars from minor accidents growing up. His hair is naturally a dark brown, but there are a few strands on top that have been made lighter by the sun. His eyes are a simple warm brown, bright and inquisitive, with flecks of green around his pupils. // Casper is usually a very mellow guy. He doesn't get mad easily, and he isn't easily offended. He's calm and controlled, easy-going and quietly confident. He isn't a take-charge person, but he is comfortable in a leadership position. Casper doesn't talk too much, but he is a great listener. He's kind and understanding, and always willing to help others. But Casper's generosity and kindness should never be mistaken for weakness. He is strong of character, and he won't be pushed around. He is strong-willed and determined, but not prideful or arrogant. He does take pride in his skills and knowledge, but he isn't flashy about it. He can take a compliment, but he doesn't seek it. Casper is smart and thoughtful, often taking the time to think through what he wants to say before he says it. His intelligence isn't extraordinary, but he works hard at it, and many might consider it a little above average. While Casper is often slow to anger, it isn't impossible. When he gets angry, however, he doesn't get loud or violent, but rather the opposite. He goes quiet—quieter than normal—and usually just avoids the thing or person causing the anger until he can cool down and deal with the situation or problem calmly and with a clear head. Casper doesn't like to lose control, of himself or his emotions. He keeps a very tight leash on both, and when he feels that control slipping, he will often step back, physically and/or emotionally, until he regains it. But at the heart of him, Casper is brave and extremely loyal to those who earn his trust and respect, and he believes in second chances. // Fable Orion is his younger sister; Apollo Hendrix is his cousin from his mother's side of the family. He was just a kid the last time he saw Apollo, but the two boys never really got along, and Casper wasn't surprised when he learned Apollo had left to become a pirate. He has made it his goal to be the one to find and capture his elusive cousin. // Other // ✧☽ ᴅʀᴇᴀᴍᴇʀ ᴀɴᴅ ᴅᴏᴇʀ ☾✧

Uriel Killoran // Uriel is a handsome looking man. He has short messy black hair and light blue eyes. Uriel has a sharp jawline and fair white skin. Uriel has a beard, but he has a habit of shaving or trimming it down depending on his mood. He is around 35 years old. Uriel stands at around 5'11 and a half, and has a athletic looking build. He wears a black cross necklace around his neck. Usually, he will wear his naval uniform. However, if he is undercover, Uriel will settle for pirate attire or commoner clothing. // Uriel is a strong and fierce man. He has little love for those who break the law especially pirates. He is a passionate man and he gets himself worked up over things he loves or believes in. He is a careful and is always making sure that things go according to plan. Uriel is pretty good at predicting what people will do. He has a soft spot for animals and for children and hates to see any of them harmed. He is very religious and this has given him a self righteous ego and attitude. Uriel has a slight temper and it only gets worse if you insult his faith. Uriel gets flustered around beautiful women and doesn't really know how to flirt with them. // When he was around 12 years old, he and his family were on a boat to go to an event in a foreign land. However, pirates raided by pirates and he watched helplessly as his parents and the crew were cut down. He ran off and got into a life boat; where he managed to cut it loose and go crashing into the ocean. He ended up being adrift for three days until a navy vessel found him. The crew took pity on him and nursed him back to health. The captain at the time decided to eventually adopt him and taught him about maps, navigating the sea, fighting and most importantly Catholicism. Once he was oldest enough to join, Uriel joined the navy and pretty soon he was making a name for himself. By 21, he managed to track down a small group of pirates and bring them to justice. His mission now is to kill every single pirate and possibly find the ones who killed his parents and kidnapped his sister. // Some know him as the pirate Slayer. Uriel sees himself as the righteous flame of the Lord. // Hawkeyes2581
Hunter Drake, "El Diablo"; 32 // Hunter was raised like a soldier, and that vigorous training is evident in every line of his powerful body and every controlled move he makes. He stands at an impressive 6'4, and weighs about 200 lbs. His skin is a dusky-tan, both from genetics and hours spent in the sun. His hands and forearms are flecked with small near-white scars, and his arms and torso are covered in tattoos, most of which are various reptilian species, from his wrists up to his shoulders, and then down across his chest and back to his waist. Interspersed between the colourful array of snakes, lizards, and dragons are artfully designed black script. The words are written in Latin, and so skillfully interwoven between his other tattoos that one would need to get quite close to ever stand a chance of reading them. Even so, Hunter rarely goes shirtless around others. His hair is a deep, dark brown that appears black when there is no light to illuminate the slightly reddish brown strands. He's letting it grow out of a military cut, so it's fairly short along the sides and back of his head, and a little longer on top. His eyes are a rich, dark brown with bright flashes of amber when he is feeling strong emotion. His lashes are long, thick, and dark, and often the envy of many women. // Hunter is somewhat of an enigma. He's most often portrayed as cold and aloof, with a mean streak a mile wide. He is harsh and unforgiving, with a penchant for cruelty; he may not be the devil, but he certainly earned the name. His presence alone often unnerves or intimidates. He possess a dry humour and witty sarcasm that can make you laugh or make you cry. Hunter is not a nice guy, so when he acts like one, it's with an ulterior motive - one that is likely to leave you in tears if you're lucky, and without a pulse if you're not. To an outsider, it often appears as if Hunter is incapable of feeling remorse or guilt, joy or love. In many cases, he truly doesn't feel those things, even when he should, but is isn't truly incapable - just unwilling, and very good at suppressing any inclination toward those sorts of feelings. He rarely sympathizes, and he doesn't appreciate having such emotions directed at him. Hunter is a being who believes in survival of the fittest. If you are not strong enough, you won't live long enough to matter. He cares only for himself, and he isn't afraid to say so. Hunter does what he wants, when he wants. He obeys nothing and no one but himself and his desires, and he does not take kindly to people giving him orders or getting in his way. Hunter is capable of winning battles with words or simple intimidation and dominance, but often times he'll choose to win with violence simply because he can. Hunter is not a man you want as an enemy - you won't be alive much longer if you are. // History // Other // ✧☽ ᴅʀᴇᴀᴍᴇʀ ᴀɴᴅ ᴅᴏᴇʀ ☾✧
