I am not sure about everyone else, but my discovery of Warriors was interesting. I remember it clearly, so I will explain the situation: I was in class. My English class in Elementary School. I was never much of a reading person, in fact I despised it. However, the day that I was looking under my desk for a textbook, I found a different book lying in my wake. I didn't glance much at it, I was really just concerned about getting my textbook. So I got the textbook out onto my desk. I wasn't focused that strange day, so instead of having my full attention in class, I was strangely focused on that little book with a kitty on the front. Now... I have no clue WHY I was even thinking about it, because my glance was so miniscule, I didn't even know what it looked like, the only thing I saw was a bright blue cover and that it had pages, with a fuzzy memory of a cat on it.
I told myself that I would find this book in the school library, which happened to be that same day, because every Wednesday we went. For the first time, I was totally stoked. I was scanning the small library for a book with a similar thickness and a bright blue cover with a cat of some kind on it. With these small details even being documented in my brain, even at the time, I managed to find it, accompanying it were many of its kind. A whole plethora of books titled "Warriors" on it. My instincts told me this was were that one book came from. I immediately checked out two books with some of the coolest titles I could find(I had no concept of a series at the time), which were "Twilight" and "Eclipse." Ever since then, I was hooked. I went home that night and looked up the first book, and ordered it.
With such fuzzy and little details I remembered for even then, it is a real surprised I even found the books and just "knew" it was what was under the desk. Why was I so enthralled and intrigued? Why did I uphold this quest, which happened to change my life?

When I discovered Warriors, I was just in Barnes and Noble looking for new books to read. I was also in elementary school and the only larger books I would read on my own were ones about animals. So, once I saw the shelf with the three arcs that were out at the time, I was immediately intrigued. I didn’t grab the first book either. I grabbed what I thought was the first book since it had a “1” on the spine, but it was actually the first book of the Power of Three series. So, I ended up reading that arc first before moving back to The Prophecies Begin. It was pretty confusing at first, but I managed and loved the series. I would look up spoilers all the time since I did not mind them so reading out of order was never a big issue for me. I really believe somehow encountering these books about a cult of cats separated in Clans in a forest fighting each other was all of our destinies. We were meant to find and love these books. I’m a lot older now, and I still love them. They are books not only kids can enjoy, but adults too. That makes them very special. They were very unique books and I loved reading them so much. I’m still going to buy more of these books in the future! They give me nostalgia, especially the first four arcs.

I will always love these books even for it's temporary shortcomings. I am far older and have matured a lot since I first found them, and now, I appreciate them even more. I wonder why it was destiny though... it has helped shape me in many ways. Like my hobbies, it got me to writing and drawing.

For me, being introduced to Warriors wasn't destiny. However, it did help me discover a love of writing. I think I liked reading long before Warriors, but that series only made me love reading more.

Personally, I don’t really believe that much in destiny. I think you were just a curious kid that happened to be drawn to a book with a cat on it. But that’s just me. It’s still amazing how it all starts from a single book.

I can't totally remember when I actually picked up and read Warriors, though I remember looking at it once because I thought it was a Guardians of Ga'Hoole book (something I was super into before that). I can say it's certainly changed my life. Joining the forums and writing fan fiction helped connect me to a community while I moved around every two years, giving me some sense of stability and constant friendship. I learned to hone my writing skills more here, and developed my passion. Perhaps mainly indirectly, Warriors has really given me a lot over the years, and I can attribute a lot of who I am to it
