dang it's been a while since i've been here haha.
Anyway, you can call me June. I'm trying to find someone up for rping a lit/semi-lit roleplay w/ me ayyy ))
About Me -
- gay
- she/her pronouns, thanks for asking!
- I'm over 18, and would MUCH prefer roleplaying with people who are as well (not that the content will be 18+ lol, but rping with minors skeeves me out a bit).
- I usually match my partner's post length. Expect me to write 3-5 paragraphs on average, though I'm open to doing 1 paragraph responses if the roleplay is a little fast-paced! Honestly, I'm really lenient and open as far as that goes haha
- I work full-time! So I'm gonna be busy at odd times (retail, amiright?). Usually I'm most active from 9pm-2am pacific. That said, don't shy away if you're gonna be asleep by then lol, I'm happy to work around schedules and be as flexible as I can.
- I really love a mixture of romance and adventure! Slow burn kind of thing. Having characters that can get together (or have some sort of pinning) is really fun, but for some OC's I'm open to them growing their relationship as friends instead :")
- I prefer rping in PM, but it's definitely not a requirement.
About You -
- Preferably also some brand of LGBT+ ? Don't have to be, but I love meeting more people in the community.
- 18+. Again, not super comfortable roleplaying a 1x1 with minors.
- Literate/Semi-literate. Aka, writes at least a paragraph and can use spellcheck. Though honestly, look, my roleplaying grammar is FAR from perfect. As long as you use basic punctuation and whatnot, I'm not going to be a stickler or anything.
- Idk, a good person?
- Are comfortable either coming up with/presenting a plot, or creating one alongside me! For most of my roleplays I end up being the one to decide the exposition, and although I can still totally do it, I'd appreciate if you had a semblance of an idea of something you'd be interested in roleplaying !
- Enjoy writing a healthy dose of adventure, with our OC's relationship being a slower build.
About the Roleplay -
- I really love apocalypse roleplays, of any kind tbh. Sci-fi, thriller, action, and historical are all up my alley! Essentially, our OC's need to be in some kind of danger. (holding my OC at gunpoint: character development)
- It can take place in any setting really, just not high school lol. Modern/realistic settings are totally fine, as long as there's some sort of dramatic plot taking place alongside it.
TROPES !!!
OKAY to make everything easier I'm just going to compile some tropes I really love, bwaha. These are in no way required, but might help with deciding what character/setting to use. Roles in italics are ones I prefer, but seriously I'm super lenient, hmu if you'd rather be the one to rp [x thing here].
- Unrequited love - character a in love with character b, who is either uninterested or ignorant to this affection. Bonus points if they're uninterested due to heteronormativity, and EXTRA bonus points if character b is interested but for some thematic reason is repressing said interest.
- Fatal Flaw - one character's serious personal drawbacks screws both characters' over big time within the plot. Leads to tension arising, however they stick together even despite.
- Villains but... In love - I adore a good villain couple. None of my OC's are super great for this trope, but I could definitely at the very least have them overly complacent in objectively Bad Things your character is planning.
- Mutual Codependency - Especially if the characters wouldn't otherwise be close, but because of a certain shared experience, feel they're fundamentally intertwined.
AND MORE I'm just getting tired of writing them out.
oh and also hurt and comfort. big time. I'm sorry I'm trash.
About My Characters -
- god where do i start
- A lot of my OC's are pretty heavily flawed - not unlikable but... Flawed, lol. Sometimes they're harsh, incredibly stupid, utterly oblivious, snobby, or downright deceitful.
- I tend to write with a lot of irony, especially dramatic irony. I try to include a good bit of humor in my posts, and they'll all be in third-person but stylized differently depending on the character.
- Most of them are bi, because I love to exercise the ability to have anyone date anyone :") . If they're not, I'll state so specifically, but otherwise - ship away.
- All the ones listed have art of them (mostly drawn by me, some by my partner), just ask and I'll link.
Okay soo some of my current muses -
Lanette - Short, trans jock. Definitely was (is?) a frat-boy in college, kind of stupid and can definitely be a jerk as well. Blond hair perpetually covering one eye because he needs to be at least a little goth, right? His vision is god-awful, boasting that he's managed to be neither near nor far-sighted, and he carries a sight stick with him to stab in the general direction he's going (not always, but at the very least when it's dark out).
(Lanette is strictly gay so .. m x m pairings only, unless you want to rp as a friend of his, in which I'm totally down).
Dylan Benoit - Essentially the equal-but-opposite of Lanette. Somewhat tall for a dfab person (he's 5'9) and pretty bony. He has dark russet hair, and dresses as if he's from the early 1900s (tweed blazers, slacks, the works). He was born into a family that's by all accounts pretty wealthy, though he sort of despises half of them. Very dramatic, intelligent but incredibly lazy, a chronic smoker when he gets nervous about something.
(Also strictly gay. For this character especially I'd really love some sort of 'unrequited attraction' plot, hehe. He's a hopeless romantic, what can I say).
Agnes Pluie - Agnes is hard to describe because a major part of her characterization is the way she changes in order to adapt to some sort of crisis (like the apocalypse, for example). Since I'll most likely be playing the "after whatever crisis" Agnes, I'll keep her description limited to that.
Although not physically very big, Agnes is a fierce and ruthless adversary to have, but when on her good side, a devoted friend until the very end. She's got bright blue eyes, small freckles covering her face and arms, and mousy brown hair that's usually in a bun. She tends to do best fending for herself only, but that same strong instinct for self-preservation is extended, just as strongly, to another if they manage to grow close.
(Any gender is cool to rp with. I'm also open to our OC's ending up as just close friends!)
Alair Kaddir - My boy. My baby boy. My oldest OC that I'm still active in using, lol. Short, bony, perpetually a little grimy and absolutely could use a haircut; he has a sailor's mouth to boot and isn't exactly charming. He's an artist that failed out of art school, and struggles with being in near constant poverty. In most rp's, he tends to attach himself to a political cause of some sort. Of Russian/Iranian descent.
(Any gender is cool. He's good for historical settings if you have any ideas for one :") )
