[Yay so glad you wanna continue! It was wild but I'm graduated now so we're all good haha- Also to any new members, I have Runningpaw open in camp if you're looking to rp!]
"Yes, you're definitely right," Sorrelstep responded. Fallowleaf was voicing what Sorrelstep already knew, but hearing it aloud was exactly what the she-cat needed. Sorrelstep was glad she had been sent with Fallowleaf, not all cats took well to her tendency to ramble at times like this. The warrior began to slow her rapid pace as they neared the height of the hollow. Although they had only just left camp, Sorrelstep was anxious to reach their lookout to see it once more.
[That sounds perfect! Also love the Pinenose crush they're both such sweetheart characters ♥♥]

《I know I thought they would be adorable together 😍》 ☆Timberstar☆ Stealthfire νσι∂ 𝚜𝚑𝚢𝚒𝚗𝚞𝚗 With Cavegrowl in the lead and Timberstat hot on his heels the pair prepared to leave camp and reunite with the rest of the patrol. On their way out Timberstar noticed Archfoot and Aspenleap lingering around. "Archfoot, Aspenleap join us if you are free. I'd like to make sure we have a strong enough patrol if Duskfern and Pinenose need help. We are leaving now so make your mind up quickly", with that said he bounded after the dark grey warrior and out of camp.

𝚜𝚑𝚢𝚒𝚗𝚞𝚗When Timberstar called the cats to join Duskfern and Pinenose, Runningpaw crept away from the action. He had involved himself plenty for the day, and was actually glad to Cavegrowl confined him to camp. He spotted Softfeather emerging from the warrior's den and decided the best thing he could do was to talk to a warrior right now, he always felt more calm when he had someone to impress. The tabby tom shook out his pelt which had been fluffed in fear, and padded over to the she-cat. "You'll not believe what's happened, Softfeather!" he meowed to her.

♧Fallowleaf♧ Stealthfire Scrambling up the steep rockface Fallowleaf finally pulled herself up to the peak of the tangled hollow. From their position it was easy to see Timberstars pateol leaving camp and headed out into the dense forest. It was a prime vantage point where they could see anyone or anything before it got too close to the hollow. "Its scary to think that monsters have left their thunderpath. I hope Timberstar returns with good news saying we have nothing to worry about." The young warrior was sinply voicing her thoughts to her friend between pants. The climb up to the peak definitely was one that could take ones breath away.

Aspenleap Falconwing A large yawn escaped the long-furred molly as she stretched out, her legs pushed out in front of her. She'd just finished her grooming, removing all the moss that lingered in her fur from her sleep. Her ears perked up at Timberstar's call, watching as he started towards the entrance. Aspenleap nodded in answer, not that she expected her leader to see this. Quickly padding to catch up, she weaved her way through the camp entrance. She fell into the patrol, a little behind Timberstar.

[ νσι∂ Shadowpaw is welcome to intercept Runningpaw! He's my last left open] FalconwingWhen Fallowleaf reached the peak beside her, Sorrelstep replied, "It's like you said. Duskfern and Pinenose are strong warriors, so Timberstar and the rest will probably find everything to be alright. I can't imagine there's anything Timberstar and Duskfern both wouldn't be able to take care of." Sorrelstep stood poised and focused her eyes on their surroundings. She saw below gently waving branches and the movement of familiar cats beneath them. The gentle breeze carried little toward her besides the calm scent of camp. [Sorrelstep and Fallowleaf are both so nice I feel like they'll have a much different interaction with Jagg?? Could cause conflict then with Duskfern ....]

Shadowpaw Stealthfire & 𝚜𝚑𝚢𝚒𝚗𝚞𝚗 The older apprentice had woken up a bit late, having been out training with Otterheart long after moonhigh. He watched as Timberstar left with his patrol, curiosity in his yellow tinted gaze. Then his attention shifted to Runningpaw as he watched the apprentice rushing towards Softfeather. Heaving himself to his paws, the dark tabby wandered over as well. He dipped his head in greeting to the warrior but then tilted his head towards his fellow apprentice. "What did happen, Runningpaw?" Shadowpaw asked, settling down on his haunches, tucking his tail around his paws.

☆Timberstar☆ The sound of pawsteps behind him alerted the dark brown tom that atleast one of the cats he called out had followed suit. Casting a quick glance back Timberstars dark green eyes found it to be Aspenleap who had joined them. Waving his tail welcomingly to her to show that he knew she had joined the tom jumped up onto the fallen log and followed Cavegrowl across the river. "Be careful, its a bit slippery", he called out not wanting the shecat to slip and fall into the cold river below.
♧Fallowleaf♧ Sorrelsteps reassuring words were all that she needed and Fallowleaf allowed her negative thoughts to slip from her mind. Her pale green eyes scanned the undergrowth around the camp peering through the foliage of the trees. She was not about to let anything escape her gaze and get into their camp. Though the threat was a ways away that didnt mean that other threats could emerge.
¤Jagg¤ The sandy tom quickly found himself a the waters edge and began to walk along its bank. He needed to find a place to cross... maybe further downstream there would be a place. In his mind it would make perfect sense for this stream to mark the end of that clans territory, so the moment he was on the other side he planned on filling up his belly before continuing on his way. Pressing on Jagg noticed a change in the winds direction causing the breeze to blow into in him the southwest. On it he caught the scent of other cats and he hurried off into the brush not wanting to be discovered. Slowly and quietly he made his way forwards until up ahead he heard a voice call out. "Be careful, its a bit slippery" Who was that? Whoever it was he didnt want them to know he was here. Thankyfully the wind was in his favor and as he peered through brush and tall grass he could see a trio of cats crossing over a fallen log. From the smell of them he assumed them to be clan cats probably returning to their territory. Jaggs best bet would be to lie low untill they passed so he could cross over be be away from these unknown cats for good. Little did he know he was about the head into the heart of their territory.

Aspenleap Falconwing Aspenleap had her attention on the forest around them as they approached the tree bridge. She was more than a bit concerned about all the monsters that were attacking the abandoned farm. Her mind was racing with all sorts of questions but she didn't know who to ask for answers. Her head whipped towards the fallen oak, pausing just before she leaped up. As she hadn't really been paying attention to her paws, the jump she had been about to make was careless and would have caused her to slide right into the water. Embarrassed heat flooded in her cheeks and ears as she adjusted her paws. Her long legs propelled her upwards and onto the slick bark. Luckily her paws found stable holds and she was able to begin making her way across. "Thank you, Timberstar. I'm not really in the mood for a swim," Aspenleap replied, still embarrassed but trying to make light of the situation.

Softfeather The warrior looked at the apprentice, her orange eyes confused on why such a young cat wanted to speak with her. "What is it, Runningpaw?" She questioned the young tom. Shouldn't he be off with his mentor? The smokey-gray she-cat thought. She then looked to Shadowpaw as the other apprentice spoke up.
Archfoot He looked towards Tmberstar and immediately moved to follow the patrol. There he took his place in the patrol, where he stayed silent until he was spoken too. Everyone seemed to be a bit on edge, which had him on edge as well. He just hoped that everything was alright. Just focus on the task at paw. He reminded himself.

Falconwing After the loner could no longer be heard moving through the undergrowth, Duskfern finally moved from her stoic stance. "I think that's more than enough cause for us to return to camp," she told Pinenose, "We've seen all we can from the thunderpath. And more." Pinenose nodded in agreement, the energetic tom shifting from paw to paw after the tension of the former moment subsided. "I won't forget how to find him," he meowed to his deputy, twitching his nose as if to better hold the loner's scent in memory. The large she-cat turned with her warrior behind her, and began to carefully return in the direction of camp. νσι∂ and 𝚜𝚑𝚢𝚒𝚗𝚞𝚗Runningpaw felt his fear subside and his confidence grow as his excitement had alerted Shadowpaw. There was nothing the proud tom liked better than holding latest news. "Timberstar, Cavegrowl, Archfoot and Aspenleap just went to the thunderpath, we were on patrol, and the monsters were attacking the old farm, they left the thunderpath!" he exclaimed, but began to worry as he continued, "Duskfern and Pinenose were with us, and they...they stayed there, it was...it was actually...very frightening." The memory of how serious Duskfern and Cavegrowl had looked clouded his mind.

Shadowpaw Stealthfire & 𝚜𝚑𝚢𝚒𝚗𝚞𝚗 As Runningpaw told his story increasing levels of alarm spread its was across Shadowpaw's face. He lowered his gaze to the ground in front of him, his claws sliding out to burrow into the dirt. When the other apprentice had finished his tale, the dark furred tom turned towards Softfeather. "Has this ever happened before, Softfeather?" he questioned, acknowledging that she wasn't the oldest warrior but still certainly older than either him or Runningpaw. He offered a friendly nudge to the slightly younger tom, trying to offer some comfort after that horrific morning.

Softfeather Stealthfire νσι∂ Softfeather listened to what Runningpaw had to say. Her brother was out there and it scared her to think of what could happen. 𝚜𝚑𝚢𝚒𝚗𝚞𝚗 νσι∂Runningpaw felt safer with Shadowpaw's support, but Softfeather's worry confirmed the concern he had seen from his other clanmates. "Sorrelpelt and Fallowleaf have gone to the peak of the hollow though to keep watch over the camp," he meowed, to assure himself as much as the others, "At least we'll have nothing to worry about from here." Even so, if monsters had left the thunderpath, who knows what else was possible. Runningpaw wanted to stay next to his older denmate and Softfeather, just in case.

¤Jagg¤ After the group of cats had finally disappeared Jagg took the open opportunity to cross the river. Slinking out into the open the sandy tom was swift and sure footed as he clawed his way ontop the dead tree and picked his way carefully across to the other side. Leaping to the ground he then bounded off into the forest ahead of him happy to put the unknown cats behind him. Not used to the rocky jungle-like terrain the tom in his weakened state kept tripping and stumbling over roots and rocks that jutted up out of the uneven ground. His soft paw-pads were used to a soft forest floor or the bouncy grassland terrain, and now after trekking deep into the forest his poor paws were sore and scuffed up. Hurt, frustrated, and unsure of his surroundings Jagg had no choice but to keep moving forwards hoping that he would be out of these dark woods soon enough. So far he had failed at every hubting attempt and was currently tracking the scent of a mouse. Little did he know he was encroaching on Tangleclans camp and coming into the view of those who guarded it. ☆Timberstar☆ Stealthfire "Well you know I would happily dive in after you if need be" Timberstar replied casting back a playful to Aspenleap. Once they were all across, including Archfoot, Timberstar nodded to Cavegrowl signaling for the patrol to continue onwards. They had made it about halfway through Hare Meadow when up ahead Duskfern and Pinenose came into view. Taking up the lead Timberstar bounded forwards to meet his deputy and son. "Duskfern, Pinenose, is everything alright?" He questioned with a concerned tone as he approached.

♧Fallowleaf♧ Stealthfire The winds direction shifted and picked up, with it a strange scent was carried. "Do you smell that?" Taking in a a deep breath Fallowleaf tested the strange scent. It was obviously cat, but whos? Ears pricked and green eyes wide she stepped forward and scanned the forest below. Someone was coming their way, and with the wind blowing straight towards camp the stranger would have no idea what he was coming upon until he walked right into Tangleclans camp. Turning Fallowleaf looked to Sorrelstep unsure of what to do, it wasn't often that strangers wondered this far into clan territory.

Shadowpaw || Stealthfire & 𝚜𝚑𝚢𝚒𝚗𝚞𝚗 Softfeather seemed just as worried as they were, which unsettled the tom. He didn't let it show though, allowing his face to remain perfectly neutral. He analyzed his denmate as he spoke, picking up on the fear and tension. "Lets hope the monsters don't wander to the other side of the thunder-path," the minute the words were out Shadowpaw wished he could take them back. The dark tom visibly winced and looked down at his paws awkwardly. If only he had a filter. "Sorry, I didn't mean to say that," he apologized. Yes, Shadowpaw, some worries are better left unsaid.Aspenleap || Falconwing The molly let out a soft chuckle, picking her way along the oak carefully. "I believe that you would," she admitted almost to herself. Their leader always seemed to do everything he could for his clan mates and Aspenleap really did have no doubt that Timberstar would jump in to save any of them. Following the rest of the patrol, she leaped down into the grass on the other side. Her sharp ears picked up the faint noise of the monster when they were half way through Hare Meadow. Unease made the fluffy fur stand up along her spine as they approached Duskfern and Pinenose.

νσι∂ Falconwing 𝚜𝚑𝚢𝚒𝚗𝚞𝚗 Duskfern spotted Timberstar leading their clanmates through the meadow as he strode toward them. Relief washed over her, less for fear of danger, and more for anticipation of being now able to plan the clan's next steps. Duskfern relied on discussion with Timberstar and careful thought of situations to put her mind at ease. "Timberstar," the deputy greeted as she and Pinenose dipped their heads to the brown tom. "Things are worrying at the thunderpath, as I am sure Cavegrowl has explained. Right now the monsters seem focused on the old farm, but it seems they're able to move anywhere they like." Duskfern finished, as she was unsure how wise it was to panic her clanmates by discussing any more before Timberstar made a decision. "But, we have a potential problem closer as well," she added, "A loner, a light brown tom, was pushed onto our territory by the monsters. He claimed to just be passing through to escape them, and told us he would not be hunting. He knows about TangleClan now. He'll be far from our land by tomorrow if he was telling the truth." --- Spottedstep looked to Fallowleaf, noticing the scent with the same breeze. In all the warrior's many moons, she was certain she had never known this cat's scent. Just then, movement caught her eye, near to the camp, and going toward it. The wind had been protecting him, a cat unidentifiable to Spottedleaf by colour or smell. Had he waited, and planned to enter just as most of the warriors left? There was no time to think things through, and besides, that was Duskfern's specialty, not Spottedleaf's. "We need to sort out whatever this is before he reaches the entrance. Come on," she meowed hastily, and flurried downwards. The quick she-cat moved so easily, that she made no effort to muffle her movement, certain that this threat would not be escaping them in time.

Runningpaw glanced at Shadowpaw, sitting collected beside Runningpaw's own tense self. "That's alright, Shadowpaw," he meowed, "There isn't anything our clan can't figure out. Anyway, I think I'll be the first cat to scare off a monster!" Runningpaw sat up straighter and puffed his chest, "I did once chase a fox away after all." The tabby tom glanced at Softfeather and Shadowpaw, assessing how impressed they were.

☆Timberstar☆ "A loner?" Timberstar was startled by the information. It hadn't occurred to him until now that the destructive activity by the monsters and twolegs would push animals out of their homes, across the thunderpath, and into Tangleclan territory. "Then we need to be monitoring this area more frequently. Though a loner may not pose much of a threat, other things may. Foxes, coyotes, lynx." Part of him wished to continue forwards to see the destruction for himself. But now was not the time. "Let's head back to the tangled hollow, and speak about this further. Hopefully this turns out to be nothing for us to worry about, but in case it is something worrisome then I want my warriors to be prepared."
♧Fallowleaf♧ Seeing Sorrelstep not hesitate to take action, Fallowleaf took in a deep breath to gather her courage and rushed down the steep hillside matching her clanmates speed. As they neared to cat Fallowleaf skirted to the side as to surround the tom. 'I will protect my clan' she said inwardly. The young warrior was soft in spirit, but when times like these occured she needed to give herself a little pep talk to help herself gather the courage to be fearless in battle. As they came close she watched Sorrelsteps moves, not wanting to attack if she had other things in mind. But if attack was the case the she-warrior was ready to leap into battle.

Sorrelstep saw Fallowleaf peel off to her side and knew she had to think fast. She didn't want to block the direction of the camp, that would alert him there was something she was protecting, just in case he was unaware of their clan's centre. However, she thought it was likely the two warriors would cause him to run, so better to force him in the opposite direction of camp. Her decision made, Sorrelstep launched through vines and undergrowth to cut off the tom, placing herself directly in his path, confident that Fallowleaf would be right behind him if he turned to flee. Sorrelstep bristled her pelt and and flashed her fangs, but something in her felt different when she noticed how tired the tom looked, not at all like the plotter she'd suspected.

Duskfern nodded in agreement, Timberstar was of the same mind as her. She was eager to return Aspenleap, Archfoot, and Pinenose to camp, to secure their clanmates, and to remove them from the reality of the thunderpath. Pinenose took his place behind his deputy as the she-cat waited for Timberstar to lead back. The warrior felt as if he hadn't seen camp in moons after all he and Duskfern had witnessed. He expected his father's concern for the situation, but truly appreciated how severe it was when he actually witnessed Timberstar hearing Duskfern's news.

Aspenleap || Falconwing & Stealthfire A loner in TangleClan territory? That was a little unnerving but Aspenleap mused that the poor feline had nowhere else to go. The monsters were destroying what had probably been their home. She couldn't imagine what the loner was going through. Worry settled in her stomach like a stone but she merely nodded when Timberstar ordered them home. Of course he and Duskfern needed time to talk about the situation away from warrior ears. Maybe they'd even bring Larkthorn in on the conversation. Aspenleap shrugged off her thoughts, feeling a bit relieved that she wasn't in a position of power. She didn't know how Timberstar or Duskfern did it. The long-furred she-cat fell in beside Pinenose and Archfoot, ready for the trek back to camp. Shadowpaw || 𝚜𝚑𝚢𝚒𝚗𝚞𝚗 The dark furred tom nearly let out a sigh of relief that Runningpaw had forgiven him so quickly. He was more than used to his clan mates snapping or getting offended at his comments. Shadowpaw huffed in amusement of his den mate's antics, nearly rolling his green eyes. He caught himself before he did though, not wanting to rile up the tense tom. He kind of smiled at Softfeather, curious to see what the warrior thought of Runningpaw's claim. "When did you chase off the fox, Runningpaw? What happened?" the older apprentice refrained from outright being sarcastic and instead attempted to join in the game. Something about the light brown tabby's demeanor told Shadowpaw that he really needed to get his mind off the monsters.

¤Jagg¤ Stealthfire Not excpecting to be ambushed the sandy toms instincts quickly went into a fight or flight mode. Sadly his instincts choose the fight mode and he lashed out with sharp jagged claws. Fallowleaf and withdrawn just in the nick of time, his claws only snagging a tangle in her fur ripping it out. Confused, hungry, and exhausted Jagg was not himself and scared for his life the tom leapt into battle straight for the cat who currently blocked his escape. Claws extended, teeth bared and amber eyes wide with fear Jagg attacked the black she-cat before him.

☆Timberstar☆ Seeing his warriors fall into place behind him the solid brown tom lashed his tail before bounding off. He was vaguely paying attention to his surroundings, his mind churning about the problem at hand. The pace he set was brisk, he just wanted to get back to camp amd make sure everyone was safe. Of course they would be, why not? He was just worrying for nothing. Taking a deep breath he set him mind to ease and approached the fallen oak that acted as a bridge to cross the river. He was almost too caught up in thought to catch it but when he crouched down to leap up onto the oak he caught the scent of a strange cat. Hesitating he stopped the patrol. "Duskfern, Pinenose come smell this" he called out as he investigated the scent. "You said a loner was passing through is this his scent, can you remember?"

Falconwing 𝚜𝚑𝚢𝚒𝚗𝚞𝚗 νσι∂Sorrelstep's concern for the fatigued tom left her mind as he furiously lashed out before them and caught Fallowleaf's pelt. Sorrelstep braced herself just as the tom lunged for her. The she-cat thought of her best strategy, and decided she would withstand his blows rather than risk dodging and allowing him to turn to escape. That way, she would gain time either for Fallowleaf to join her and trap him, or to tire him completely. Sorrelstep knew the most important thing was to keep this violent cat right where they could see him, and let the clan deal with him properly. Sorrelstep crouched solid receiving his attack, and bit down hard on his shoulder to lock them in combat. --- "I remember it!" Pinenose meowed with purpose. The tom was an excellent tracker, and usually only found his talent to be hunting for that reason. He was eager to be of use for a matter so urgent to the clan. Pinenose quickly darted in front beside Timberstar, then continued a few paces forward, his nose to the ground. "This is the way it leads," he informed. Duskfern opened her jaw and scented the air. "He's right," she confirmed. "But he's not going out of the territory, then. That direction is the river. He'd be going straight toward camp." She hoped she wasn't entirely correct, but the deputy's cautious nature taught her to assume the very worst. Pinenose turned around to the others and looked to his father, nodding gravely. The warrior's nose was telling him the same thing as Duskfern. --- "Only once," Runningpaw answered Softfeather. "I am just an apprentice, after all," he meowed with feigned humility. "It was...a moon ago, or two, but I didn't want to scare anyone so you probably didn't hear. I had it under control anyway. There was no way that badger would-" he faltered, "Fox...would ever face me again." Runningpaw licked a paw and ran it over his whiskers nonchalantly. Usually, he didn't get questions about his stories, so this presented a particular challenge. Most especially because the young tom had yet to see a fox in his life, although he believed they were red.

♧Fallowleaf♧ Stealthfire Fallowleaf was horrified, just as she had withdrew to escape the toms claws he had leapt for Sorrelstep. She watched as the two looked into battle and the tom battered her with heavy paws. Finally she saw her opportunity, the tom had reared up to deliver a powerful strike and just as he did the young warrior launched herself at him. Using all her weight she rammed into the sandy tom knocking him off Sorrelstep and onto to rocky ground. Gripping him with her claws she shoved into him just had he landed on the ground trying to pin him down and subdue the attacker. A feirce hiss escaped her as she glared down at him waiting for him to throw her. Little did she know that when she had shoved him into the geound the toms head had slammed into a rock knocking him unconscious. After a moment of him not moving she dug her claws in deeper to see if he would react. Nothing. "Sorrelstep...?" Fallowleaf was confused at to what had happened and looked to her more experienced clanmate as she held her position ontop the unconscious tom. ◇Cavegrowl◇ "Headed to camp!?", Cavegrowl questioned breaking his silent streak. His charcoal grey pelt fluffed out aggressively, could this unknown cat be attacking their camp?! Who was he and what did he want? Oh no, Rushpaw his daughter was probably still in camp. "We need to get back right away!" Worried for his daughter and clanmates the tom restlessly paced back and forth awaiting his leaders orders. ☆Timberstar☆ "You are right Cavegrowl, we must return with haste. The scent is still fresh, if we hurry we might be able to catch up before he reaches camp. Lead the way Pinenose!" Giving his son the lead knowing that he had the best nose amonst them, Timberstar signaled for them to go. Hopefully Sorrelstep and Fallowleaf, the two he left on guard, were vigilant enough to see the tom coming before he reached camp. 《Does anyone want their warrior to be a mentor? Aspenleap || Falconwing & Stealthfire Unease had Aspenleap's tail lashing at the news of the lone cat heading towards their camp. Then she remembered the two warriors assigned to guard the camp and she forced herself to relax again. "Sorrelstep and Fallowleaf are at the peak, so at least we have a line of defense, if the loner gets that far," she spoke up, trying to offer some sort of relief. This day just continued to get stranger. First the monsters and now a rogue heading straight for their camp - if Pinenose and Duskfern were accurate in their assumptions. Cavegrowl's clear panic registered with Aspenleap and her mind too went to Rushpaw. Her apprentice was more than likely still in camp and just like that the tension was back along the fluffy cat's spine. Shadowpaw || 𝚜𝚑𝚢𝚒𝚗𝚞𝚗 Shaking his head slightly, he settled down next to Runningpaw, tucking his paws underneath his chest. He smiled knowingly at Softfeather before turning his attention back to his den-mate. "Where was this fox? And you must of fought very valiantly not to have a single scratch?" Shadowpaw was tempted to just laugh or even call the other apprentice out but he wouldn't. Not today. He'd already lost control of his mouth earlier and he was determined not to let it happen again. At least this way he had some entertainment to get his mind off the monster situation.

Falconwing When the loner's pressure was knocked away, Sorrelstep's jaw ached fiercely from her hold on him. Her tense body unfolded from its position of defense and stretched into readiness for an attack. But by the time the warrior came to Fallowleaf's aid, the tom was no longer hissing and lashing. "Fallowleaf, are you alright?" she asked. Sorrelstep watched carefully as Fallowleaf prodded him with claws. She felt raked lines of blood begin to trickle and soak into her fur. "Quickly. Let's get him into camp. If he's still breathing then, we can properly guard him there until Timberstar returns. He may not be laying like this for long." Luckily their spat had occurred so close to the camp entrance that Sorrelstep didn't yet need to worry about whatever injuries this tom had inflicted on her. With very little distance to carry him, Sorrelstep winced and took hold of him by the scruff of his neck.
