Shadefang gave Kitepaw a worried glance, and when he didn't speak for a while gave him a light shove with her paw. "You alright?" she asked, then sighed. "You don't have to talk to me about it if you don't want to. It's not exactly my business. But maybe you can try and get her to talk to you. I know she doesn't hate you," she reassured him, then found herself pausing a moment. "But, you know, you can always come to me if you're having... trouble." She wasn't quite sure how close a mentor and apprentice were supposed to be, but she wanted him to be as comfortable with her as possible and be there for him.

Kitepaw nodded, still a little glum but reassured by Shadefang's supportive words. "Thanks, Shadefang," he mewed, offering his mentor an appreciative glance, "I'll try talking to her later, I think." He'd be lying if he denied missing Snailpaw; she was his best friend, and he was closer to her than to anybody else in FogClan. Or at least he had been, he supposed. "I miss her a lot." He figured there was no harm in voicing his feelings out loud - maybe she'd hear him? "It's not been the same in the apprentices' den ever since the battle," he confessed, "with...with Badgerpaw gone, it feels emptier. Leopardpaw and Jaypaw are getting ready for their warrior assessments too so it's going to be even quieter in there." He wasn't far off being a warrior himself, but he still had a long stretch ahead of him until he was ready to receive a warrior's name.

Snaketooth huffed "Fleetfall is hurt." Is all he said, glancing down to the younger apprentice. "That's all I really know, Bumblekit had sneaked out I guess and Littlepoppy got involved with a Lynx." He could still feel the searing pain in his eye, he wondering when the blackness would clear up. "When should I be able to see out of my eye again, Seedpaw?" He inquired, turning his head to see her better with his good eye. "Not too long, right?" He gave a small laugh, a nervous one, which sent a shock wave of pain through his body.

Seedpaw hummed thoughtfully, worry rising in her chest at the mention of Bumblekit, but she assumed the curious little kit was fine considering she wasn't in the medicine den with them. Littlepoppy, however, wasn't looking so good. She couldn't help but wonder if Owltuft's skill would be enough to save the queen's leg, but she wanted to remain as positive as she could so as not to cause panic.
Lost in her thoughts, she hardly even registered Snaketooth's voice as the silver tabby tom spoke again, too focused on dripping the celandine carefully into his eye. "This will sting," she warned, "you need to keep your head tilted backwards a little so the juice settles rather than dripping off." She pushed his jaw upwards slightly with a paw and held it there for a moment to emphasise her point further. When Snaketooth asked her the question she couldn't help but cringe on the inside, glancing at the silver tom's injury. "Truthfully? I don't know. It could be a while, depending on the severity of the injury. Once the swelling's gone down I'll be able to tell how severe the injury is, and that'll be the deciding factor," she explained. She paused for a moment, frowning, and looked him square in the eye. "Can you see at all? In that eye, I mean." She waved a paw on the blind side of his face, hoping to be able to figure something out.

Snaketooth shook his head. "I don't think I can, I don't see anything...at least not right now." He muttered, trying to keep his voice low so she couldn't hear the breaking in it. Would he have yet another problem with his appearance? He flicked his tail and tried to focus on the blind eye, trying his hardest to see out of it but he couldn't. "It has to get better, Seedpaw. You don't understand... I'm half of a warrior without my eye."
{I dont know what warriors I have free to find him tbh, could he stumble upon the camp?}

Corn yawned as he followed the scent of a rabbit,his long fur brushing against the vegetation.It had been around 2 moons since his twolegs left him in the forest and he was not enjoying them.Half the time he was either cold or hungry.This was the first wiff of prey he'd had in a while and wasn't about to loose it.Rounding a tree,he suddenly got hit by a strong scent of cat.Not knowing why,he started following it.After finding his way through trees and bushes,he found what looked like a shelter for a rather large group of cats.Using his long tail,he swept some leaves away from his feet."Looks like I found me some shelter!"He exclaimed as he jumped into the air,only to land on a lose stone and falling and rolling down one of the steep wall like things surrounding it.

Seedpaw frowned, dropping her paw so she could stand properly again. "Don't be ridiculous, you'd be half a warrior if you only had two legs," she chastised lightly. She wasn't sure what they had in the store that could be used in a poultice to ward off infection - or if they had anything at all - but she turned on her tail and went to look.
After a short while of digging she managed to unearth a singular dried oak leaf. "You'd think, considering we've got an entire forest below the camp, we'd have more of these," she commented, flashing Snaketooth a half-hearted grin that she didn't really expect him to return. It'll have to do. She began to chew the leaf as she padded back towards the silver tabby tom, and once it was reduced to a thick poultice she dabbed at Snaketooth's eye with it, smearing the poultice over the wound. "This should stop any infection from settling in, but it'll need changing often, so make sure you come back so we can check it later. If you experience any sudden pain or anything like that, make sure you come and see us straight away," she instructed, her voice slightly muffled behind her paw.
She could sense the anxiety running rampant in the warrior in the silence that followed. She lifted her gaze to meet his, her face a mask of stony sincerity. "I'll do everything I can to get your vision back as soon as possible, I promise," she vowed.

{Fawnstep}
She heard a noise outside and rushed out to inspect it. She looked around, wondering what it could be. {Where is he btw? I dont wanna rp too far} {Snaketooth} Snaketooth didn't seem convinced, but either way he got up. "So I can leave now, right? Should I get Fleetfall and bring him in here for you to inspect?" He asked, whisking his tail over the floor beneath him. He really wished this was all a dream but alas, it wasn't. This was very much reality and whether he liked it or not, he might not have his vision anymore. He tried to imagine a life without it but he couldn't. Come on Snaketooth, if Nightwish could live with three legs and a limp you can live with one eye...you got this, you can be a warrior.

Fawnstep glanced at the tom and fluffed up her fur trying to make herself appear larger than she was. "Who are you? What are you doing here?" She hissed, narrowing her eyes to get a better look at him.
{Should we do another time skip soon?}
Fogstar stopped at the training clearing and looked over to Shadefang. "How far is your apprentice in training? We should have them try out moves against each other.."

{I know, Snaketooth just asked if he should go get him} Fawnstep gave the tom a look, clearly puzzled. "Corn, what a strange name...what are you doing here outside Fogclan camp? Surely you aren't planning an one man attack?" She paused, if he was she would be prepared to throw him off the side of the mountain herself.

Shadefang stopped with Fogstar. "He's got the basics down, and we've started working on advanced moves," she said, giving the leader a nod. "Let's just have them fight and judge what they know." She had full confidence in Kitepaw that he knew the moves well and could hold his own in a fight.
Snailpaw stopped in the training hollow, breathing hard after all her running. She saw Kitepaw and Shadefang talking behind her, and she had heard a bit of the conversation; it seemed like he wanted to talk just like she did. But he probably didn't even realize what she was upset about, and she was way too afraid to bring it up to him... afraid of not being his friend anymore. She wheeled around to the two mentors and blinked. "Fight?"

"What's a Fogclan?"Corn asked,his head tilting some more.If he wasn't entirely sure himself,he'd think this cat was delusional of even crazy."I was just trying to hunt and the caught the scent of cat and followed it....Off the side of that thing above you."he gestured with his tail.

"The clan I belong to, of course." She sniffed at him, wondering if he was some lost kittypet or just a loner. "So you you were trying to hunt in the mountains you say?" She turned her head to the side as she thought this over, they could use more warriors and it wasn't like Fogstar was the one to turn away more claws. Though she wasn't too keen on the idea of more outsiders after last time, especially ones she knew so little.

"Yeah,"Corn mumbled."I was left out here a few moons ago and I haven't entirely figured out this hunting thing."He sat down and started licking at his fur.Falling down walls tend to hurt and his long fur,as useful as it is in cold places,wasn't very good at cushioning his falls or stop blood.He didn't want to show he was still hurt.Not in front of someone who might be able to give him much needed shelter.

Fawnstep was torn, she scoffed and turned on her paws, heading back to the inside of the cave but beckoning him to follow with her tail. "Come in, our medicine cat's paws are full right now but you can rest here most likely until Fogstar returns and decides what to do." She still was unsure but she decided it wouldn't hurt to let him inside. He would be heavily outnumbered here.

After patching Littlepoppy up Owltuft took the initiative to check on Fleetfall. It would be quick treatment with pain medicine.Little did he know the warrior would be suffering a nasty fate from his wound."Fleetfall!" He called out before peeking his head into the den. With no response Owltuft squeezed inside walking over to where Fleetfall was. Prodding him into his side he waited for a response.

Fleetfall showed no signs of waking, a nasty, swollen lump now appearing across his forehead with blistering red throughout it. His gash had stopped bleeding, but his nest was bloody from it. The tom now was still, his breathing even and normal even though the tom himself was deathly still.

Seedpaw nodded, taking a step back so that Snaketooth had room to move. "Yeah, you're free to go," she chirped, her voice bright again, "but no vigorous activities and under no circumstances whatsoever are you allowed to touch that poultice." She waved goodbye to the silver tabby tom with her tail and offered him one last friendly grin. Owltuft had already left, presumably to check on Fleetfall who had also been injured although not as severely as Littlepoppy or Snaketooth. Littlepoppy lay still in his nest, his breaths shallow; his leg looked a lot better without the blood matting his fur, but Seedpaw still winced at the sight of the mangled flesh. She had a horrible feeling that it was already too late for the ginger tom's leg, but she refused to believe that it was too late for his life.

Fawnstep shook her head, signalling she didn't mind at all. "Fawnstep, it's a bit weird of a name I know but you grow used it over time. At least I did." She hummed to herself, sitting down near the back end of camp. "You can rest here for now, maybe later I can take you to medicine cat's den if you aren't feeling any better."

"Hey Snaketooth!" Waspwing perked immediately at the sight of the silver tom as he left the medicine den. She bounded over, eager to ask him about the lynx she had overheard the kits talking about, but stopped dead in her tracks at the sight of the grisly wound that sealed Snaketooth's eye shut, coated generously in a thick poultice of some herb or another. "That's a nasty one," she remarked, trying not to stare as she averted her gaze to meet his good eye, "what did Owltuft and Seedpaw have to say about it?" She had seen Fleetfall go into the warriors' den, and Littlepoppy being carried into the medicine den, but she did not know the extent of either of their injuries. Although, looking at Snaketooth now, she was unsure whether or not she should ask him about the incident at all.

Honeykit glanced up from his mossball at the sound of voices in the entrance to the cave, and his amber eyes grew round as he spotted the stranger walking with Fawnstep. He abandoned his game immediately, bounding over to the tall warrior to get a closer look at the other cat. Now that Brambleflower was more lenient with letting him out of the nursery, he was determined to get to know the rest of the Clan as well as he could, so he could make some new friends before becoming an apprentice.
He skidded to a halt in front of the pair, eyes wide as he stared owlishly up at the strange cat. "Fawnstep, who's he? Is he a prisoner?" The golden-furred tom-kit frowned, cocking his head thoughtfully. "Are you taking him to Ashpelt?" He wasn't sure if Fogstar was in the camp, but Snailpaw wasn't so he assumed Fogstar had taken her training somewhere. Snailpaw is so lucky! Being the leader's apprentice would be so cool!

Kitepaw blinked up at Shadefang, wondering if he'd heard his mentor correctly. He'd have to fight Snailpaw? He'd been under the impression that he'd be fighting Shadefang like he usually did, so now he was starting to feel a little bit nervous. Not about losing, of course - he was bigger than Snailpaw, and he liked to think he knew her well enough to know what to expect from her - but about how awkward the situation might be if they were left to their own devices. He still wasn't sure how Snailpaw felt about him anymore, which made him feel slightly more on edge than he might've done if he was.
"Uh, okay." He decided it was better to agree than to argue with his mentor, especially in front of their leader. I'm supposed to be a warrior soon, I can't kick up a fuss over something like this! I have to impress Fogstar. He glanced over at Snailpaw, trying to gauge her reaction to this new revelation, but he found that he was unable to read her.
