Crazy idea time!
What if when Bluestar died, she was somehow transported back to the very moment when she made Firepaw an apprentice? She keeps all of her memories from the future but is otherwise restored physically and in terms of lives. How does Bluestar having knowledge of the future change the story?

This would be a good fanfic.
Obviously, she would never appoint Tigerclaw as deputy, and keep a close eye on him, until the moment he caused trouble in the Clan. He'd be banished, when he did. She might try and keep Ravenpaw in the Clan, since she was shown to be regretful in not believing him when Fireheart had tried to tell her the truth. And so on...

Every loop she gets crazier to the point that she begins to test every outcome of her choices just for the sake of curiosity.

"Bluestar, you can't make a kittypet apprentice deputy -" "WATCH ME LIONHEART"
On a more serious note, she'd take Firepaw as her apprentice straight away, "discover" proof that Tigerclaw killed Redtail, bring back WindClan and get friendly with RiverClan. Tbh, I think a leader like Blackstar or Firestar would be more interesting with this scenario, in that they know they can't solve their problems just by killing Brokenstar/Tigerclaw/whoever, since they'll just end up in the Dark Forest, whereas Bluestar would be less forgiving.

Well that's the interesting part. That Bluestar, in her attempts to fix the future, may make it worse if Dark Forest Tigerstar influences people early enough.
