No we’re just doing a separate scene with Dash and Lilah. They could probably go to the same school though)

Another school day, another slowest day ever. And she still had a ways to go before graduation! As much as she complained though, she actually liked school. She was... well, she was good at it. Loved learning. It was something she was good at, unlike her "second life" as a hero. Well, sort of hero. Lindorm was 90% disaster when out doing hero work, was super rare. She got mistaken for a villain one time by Mr. Incredible! Nearly getting into a fight with one of the strongest heroes would not have been great for her at all. Luckily, there were plenty of Supers to do the hero work and all, and she could keep her powers a secret. She sometimes was perfectly fine doing science projects and math tests.
Lilah had already collected what she needed from her own locker a ways down, and was currently walking down the hall to her next class. Not much time, but she would make it. She was alone for that particular passing period though, because the friend she had for the next class was out sick. So, alone she walked for now. Passing other kids who obviously had no intention of either getting to class on time or at all, she noticed Dash at his own locker. They actually had next period together, but they didn't sit near each other. Her eyes studied him almost curiously, just for a moment. She didn't want to be caught staring. After a moment of hesitation, she walked over to him.
"Hey," she spoke softly in greeting, smiling a little. She glanced around, watching as most other continued on to class. "Wanna walk together? Bell's gonna ring soon." she asked a little sheepishly. They were heading the same way anyway, so why not? Nothing weird about that, right? And it would only be the one time most likely, as her friend would be back tomorrow and they'd be chattering away as usual, filling each other in on what happened while the other wasn't there in their day.

I know it's a separate scene but how would a scene that takes place after school would work with a scene happening during school? XD)

(Yeah I think they’re not meant to be at the same time. Them knowing eachother from school was the easiest way to set up their relationship and we wanted to try out their relationship I think so we just put them at school.
I’ll get a reply up soon)

Dash head a voice and turned to see a familiar face standing beside him.
“Hey, Lilah,” Dash said as he closed his locker “how’s it going?”
The teenager listened as Lilah asked if Dash would want to accompany her to class, and so he nodded. He’d like that, definitely. It’d be nice to walk together
“Sure, let’s go,” he said with a smile.
The blond teen led the way down the hallway, pausing for a moment as he tried to figure out what to say. He didn’t really know Lilah all that well. They had a few classes together and shared a few mutual friends, since they both hung out with the kind of outgoing people Dash generally enjoyed the company of.
“So you’re friend’s not here today?” Dash commented “usually you guys walk together right? You show up to class st the same time.”
He was pretty sure that was what normally happened, and the two girls usually sat together to.
“If you don’t want to sit alone today I’d be happy to sit next to you in class,” Dashiell offered
She seemed pretty cool from the little interactions he’d had with her previously, so he wouldn’t mind sitting next to her. Dash normally sat next to a couple of his own friends on the other side of the class, but he figured it’d be fine if he switched seats. There were two of them, they could still sit and chat together without Dash. They wouldn’t be on their own like Lilah was.

Lilah cracked a small smile as Dash agreed to accompany her. Most people wouldn't think much of it, but she was always a little nervous when it came to interacting with people she didn't know too well. Well, that and the fact she kinda liked him, and getting close to people wasn't necessarily something she wanted because what if she slipped up and accidentally revealed Lindorm? For all she knew her whole school could hate Supers. She bit her lip as she thought about it all, only drawn from her thoughts when Dash spoke again.
Blinking slowly, she nodded. "Yeah, Octavia's sick today, though I think she might be skipping. She's done that a few times, and I know because she tells me." Lilah was recently introduced to Octavia's new boyfriend, and he didn't look like the best person to hang around. As long as her friend was happy though? "So it's just me today," she said sheepishly, looking ahead as they walked. And then he offered to sit with her. Ah, he was just being nice, that's all. "How nice of you," she said softly, glancing over at him. "If you really don't mind, I'd like that." She felt a little down when she had to be alone sometimes, liking company and being social despite being on the shy side.
The walk to class didn't take long, mostly because they were on a time crunch. Didn't have all day, just a handful of minutes between each period. Upon getting to the room, she walked in and went to find a seat. Not far in the back, but not up front either. "I hope here is alright," Lilah said as she settled down, getting out what she needed for the moment, just in case the day called for notes.

“It’d be my pleasure,” Dash said, flashing a grin, in response to her words about him sitting next to her
As they walked, he found himself wondering how much she knew about him. She must know he was a super, right? Lots of people seemed to. Some were alright with it, others were rather obviously not. Dash just kind of dealt with it. He wasn’t sure about her. He didn’t have any reason to believe that she was anything but human. At least not right now, anyway.
“Here’s great,” the boy said as he took a seat next to Lilah and got his things out of his bag.
He got settled in his seat, listening to the teacher as they got the class started on the task for that day.
“So, we don’t ever really get the chance to talk,” Dash said “tell me a little about yourself.”
It was a shame they didn’t talk much, because she seemed pretty cool. Or at least Dashiell thought so, and after spending time fighting villains he considered himself a fairly good judge of character most of the time. He knew good, honest people when he met them. And Lilah seemed like one of those people.
He wanted to find out about her because she seemed so different from most of his friends. A lot of them were loud, rowdy, outgoing. Lilah seemed different from that. Kinder, just generally a lot less crazy and intense. Not normal, because Dash had never wanted normal, normal was never something he’d been chasing, unlike his sister. He’d always enjoyed the super life and the uniqueness it fostered in him. But Lilah seemed like the kind of person who could ground him a little, keep his feet on the ground sometimes. He liked that; he was prone to getting excitable and carried away. Always had been.

Lilah, along with most others, did actually know that Dash was a Super, though she never really gave opinion on the idea of such genetics. Preferred not to bring such things up, mostly because they weren't exactly friends. And also, she seemed to have gotten the short end of the stick with her own genes, so it was a bit of a sore subject. Plus, she liked to judge people based on their personalities, not necessarily their powers, though she didn't know too many people that were Super. Even with heroes being legal again, a lot of them still worked in the shadows. Just like her. Bottom line was that she didn't really mention things about a person unless it either popped up or they asked her directly. It wasn't her place to discuss such things really.
She'd been lost in her thoughts a bit, but not so submerged as not to hear Dash speak to her again. She blinked, slowly. As if registering his comment. Humming in acknowledgement, she answered "Well, nothing real interesting to tell. Just trying not to get drawn into the current events that've been around for a while." Meaning the whole Supers controversy. It was surprising how prominent the haters were still, even at a highschool. Moving on a bit, she continued with something different. "It isn't something many people watch as much as the boys team, but I play varsity basketball for the girls team, and I've been training up to try out for track and field this year." Maybe she'd get a job too at some point, to help her be more social, but her parents wanted her to focus on school, though that was never a problem with her. "Mostly just trying to get my bearings in the jungle that is highschool." It was mainly the people though, not the classes. She had a few good friends though, and hopefully she'd make more of a new one today.
They'd know each other a little through being around mutual friends, but never had they really just taken time to talk through an actual conversation. Until now though, it seemed. She didn't mind at all though, as Lilah found herself drawn to Dashiell, perhaps because of how bold and competitive he was. She didn't turn belly-up all the time, but she wasn't nearly as competitive or aching for a win. Perhaps it was because she was too nervous, even when encouraged by the social friends she already had. Still, she wasn't getting her hopes up. For all she knew, they'd never talk again unless in the company of said mutual friends. "So," she asked "What about you?" Finally did she get started on the work for the day, though she would glance over every now and then to show she was still listening, pausing completely when he actually started responding.

Daffodil just nodded at her father's words. Although she was unsure why he would say that. They were just going to spend time together. At least that is what they're supposed to think. What if he secretly knows what they were up to? But that could not have been possible. He just came in right after her other father. And if he knew what they were really going to do, he wouldn't even let them be alone together.
Caleb was somewhat taken back at his daughter's reaction. That didn't sound too much like Ana. In fact, it didn't sound like her at all. He expected a longer argument. But then again it is in fact true, that she does not have anything against Daffodil. She just didn't know how to get close to others. "It's great for you two. Daffodil's never had siblings before, you never had siblings before. You both been through foster care after foster care. And you both are supers. You may not look or act the same. But you are the same."
This was all or nothing. He knew punishing her would not be effective. She's used to it. She expects that. He needed to do something that she did not expect. He needed to make her uncomfortable. Punishment is too easy for her. Having her socialize with her sister, on the other hand, is not easy.

Dash listened to Lilah’s words, nodding along with her words. Looked like they were more similar in some ways that he might have thought. He was the same with current events, though it was hard to avoid being drawn into it since his being a super was fairly well-known because of his family’s work.
He’d considered having a secret identity at school to help him cope with everything, going by his middle name, Robert, rather than Dash. He wore a mask when he was doing hero work anyway. But then what was the point? Everyone knew his sister, everyone knew his family.
It was strange how much he noticed not having his sister around at school, how much he noticed the lack of her since she’d graduated. Dash was fine without his introverted older sibling, but he still missed having her around sometimes.
When Lilah asked about him, he shrugged.
“Well, I’m trying to not get drawn into everything that’s happening too, though I’m not going to pretend not to be super because that isn’t me. I’m on track and field, actually, so I could always put in a good word for you if you want. I’ve pretty much just been trying to figure things out too, keep an eye on my little brother when my parents and my sister are busy. High school isn’t easy either, that’s for sure, I’m totally with you there. Plus I, uh, spend a lot of time with my family.”
That was an understatement. There was always something, and the young super was very rarely able to meet up with friends outside of school. Often he found himself either involved in some family crisis or donning his super suit to help his parents fight crime. Though, it had been a little while since he’d done that. Dash was full of energy; it was different now than it had been when he was younger, he was calmer now, but he still found himself getting restless if he didn’t get to use his powers or do hero work. He was glad that being on the track and field team let him use his powers to some extent. Sometimes he came to the school when nobody else was on the track, either early in the morning or last thing at the end of the day, and he’d just run around the track. As fast as he wanted, because he didn’t have to hold back when he wasn’t racing or when nobody was watching.
He’d thought that when superhero work had been made legal he’d finally be able to be proud of the powers that made him so special, that he wouldn’t have to hide like his parents had or like his sister had when she was in her first years of high school. But it wasn’t quite like that yet. Maybe Jack-Jack would have a chance at being able to use his powers publicly without fear or criticism, when he got to Dash’s age. It frustrated Dash sometimes, who was prone to restlessness and hated being stifled in any way.
Lilah seemed cool. He kind of felt like he needed to give her a good impression. Maybe even impress her. He didn’t know why, but he just seemed to care more about what she thought of him. And he knew she’d probably go back to hanging out with her friend when she came back, and they’d go back to being friends-of-friends. But he wanted to hang out more with her

Chase arched a brow at Caleb. Thise girls were NOT the same, but he wasn't going to start anything. Sighing, he said "Well, get going and have fun, girls. Daffodil, don't let your sister punch anyone else unless they attack first. Then break their bones. Just a little though, so you don't look psycho." He just hoped they weren't going to go get themselves into any trouble. They were growing up though, so he couldn't exactly have them on a leash anymore. Not a tight one anyway. Unless boys were involved. Straight boys. Cracking a smile, he added "And if I find out you two did anything with boys, I'm making pin cushions out of them with my quills."

“Same experiences, very different people,” Ana muttered, looking over at the girl next to her
That was true; she wasn’t denying that they were very different. But that wasn’t going to stop her from working with her sister and trying to be a team if they could. She wanted to protect her family.
“What if they really deserve to be punched, though?” Ana asked “I don’t really do anything wrong, I just mete out my own brand of vigilante justice. I only punch people who deserve it.”
At her father’s words about boys, Diana wrinkled her nose
“Oh, that’s a cringey topic,” Ana said “You don’t have to worry, Chase, we’re not going to do anything with boys.”
It seemed weird that Chase seemed to know somewhat what they were up to, but the way she saw it he wasn’t trying to stop them so it was okay. Caleb would try and stop them if he found out, she felt pretty sure, but Chase seemed... okay with it somehow.

Caleb looks at Chase as if he was saying. 'Don't encourage her.'
Daffodil just rolls her eyes at the joke. She never really felt comfortable about the topic of boys. Anything beyond a kiss made feel weird. Besides most of the boys at school were jerks to her.
"Yes, whatever." She grabs her sun shaped purse ready to leave.

Lilah smiled slightly when Dash offered to put in a word for her for track and field. "How kind," she said, smiling. "If it wouldn't trouble you too much, that'd be great. I'm trying to get involved with more things." Part of it was also so she didn't have to go home. Nothing bad happening there, but instead that she was borderline ignored by the rest of her family. She didn't dwell on it too much though. She never did, really. So, she just continued to listen to Dashiell, not wanting to ruin her own day.
She looked genuinely curious as Dash told her about himself, his family and all that. She was a little curious to ask about his little brother, cause she liked kids mostly, but refrained. He probably got asked about his family all the time, and wanted to give him a possible break. Maybe if they ended up being legit friends then she would ask a question or two at some point. She was content just getting to know about Dash, not the rest of the Parrs. "You seem to be doing pretty good for yourself," she decided "I've heard that some Supers have been driven out of cities entirely due so much hate." But it probably helped that him and his family saved people from both a serial killer and psychopathic control freak. She smiled when Dash said he spent a lot of time with his family. Sounded like he was just a hint embarrassed, but who wasn't with their family at some point? "I'm kinda jealous," she said with a slight laugh. "My family seems eager for me to do good in school at least, but mainly so they ship me off to college and not deal with me I bet." After all, when she did hero work, Lindorm always managed to cause trouble for EVERYONE.
She was perfectly fine with not being known for her Super identity. Briefly did she wonder what Dash would think of Lindorm, but she honestly hoped he wouldn't ever get to. That would be a disaster, and she frowned slightly. She wondered why it mattered to her at all though, because they weren't close or anything like that. "At least you don't have to deal with everyone hating Supers, I guess. Just a portion." She said the last sentence with a small laugh. She doubted hate for Supers would ever go away entirely. "You've got an entire family to get through it all though." Her own family stopped treating her like a "normal" family member after she underwent her first transformation.
She cracked a smile. "Maybe things will change for you once you're an adult and out on your own." The young Supers would definitely overtake their parents at some point in terms of energy, if not already and become what the press focused on more in the future. Turning away, she did a little more of her work, writing away. "We still have a ways to go though before we can have that freedom though." Not that she was even acknowledged too much by her family enough to be aching for said freedom. She basically already had it cause her parents were next to absent in her life. Maybe that was why she wanted to be at school so much and befriend some social people. It would keep her from retreating into some shell. Some part of her had to remain approachable since half of her already wasn't, for the most part.
