Sid stepped in front of Jacob and Isabelle, looking Masaki over. "We're not looking for trouble, sir. Just passing through." He had let go of his wagon, switching his knife to his other hand just in case. This guy didn't look dangerous, but you never knew. Hopefully he wasn't looking for trouble, but he had a hunch that the three of them were not going to get away without losing something. Hopefully nothing major. "I bet you want us to give you something too... but these two already took and ate what I had. All I have are some books, and I'm not giving them up either way." Not without a fight anyway, but he seriously wanted to avoid fights. Look where the one from earlier got him! So, he just watched for whatever the guy would try to do, not in the mood for anything at that moment.
Moors looked over at Raion, turning toward him being a sign that she heard him. Her head turned back toward the group and Masaki, ready to go out there in case he needed help, but she knew he wouldn't. Not at first. The three he was going out to meet didn't look like trouble, the one who looked the most threatening being wounded and at a disadvantage. If anything, they should just kill them, but maybe they could capture the wounded one and get him to give up where he was headed.

Masaki sighed "You must really think I'm stupid then" he said as he started to walk forwards "There's only two reasons why the people that mugged you are still around you. One, you told them that you would lead them to a place with more loot. The other reason is that they are bringing you back to their hideout which most likely has loot. Though to be honest, the second one doesn't make much sense to me. So here's the deal, you bring me to that place that you're currently heading to and we can leave without anyone getting harmed or we can do this the hard way and force it out of you" He said

Sid just stared. "I'll take you there only if you have stuff to trade, sir. The women there will not take kindly to bandits and thieves. At all." He wasn't trying to sound threatening, but he was serious. Looking at Masaki, he continued "Because if you show up there with the intent to take and give nothing in return, people will get harmed, and you just said that you don't want that happening." Lookimg around, he paused for a moment. "You said "you", huh? How many more of you actually are there?" He doubted that he was the only one there. And they were likely all healthy. Able to easily overtake the group of three.

While the two talked, Jacob had started to back away slowly, taking hold of Isabelle's shoulder. This was way over his head and no secret food place was worth getting between a gang member and this guy who apparently was way less of a wimp than he'd thought, even if all of this was technically their fault since they'd mugged Sid in the first place. For all his instigating, Jacob only really cared about two things, him and Isabelle, and with things quickly going south, saving his own skin was worth way more than bravado, even if it meant leaving Sid to face the gang alone. When he felt he'd put an ok distance between them and the other two, he turned and bolted, practically dragging Isabelle along as he headed for the nearest alley.

"I don't have anything to trade on me currently. But I am up to do some negotiations if thats an option." Masaki said before he whistled as if to signal Moors to come out "I have a bodyguard with me. They don't really like for me tto be left alone you see" he said before he sent a strong gust of wind towards Jacob and Isabelle "I'm sorry but if you leave my friend may decide that you two are too dangerous to be kept alive. We don't know if you have people lying in wait or if you have anyone nearby that you could alert and have them gang up on us."

Moors simply appeared, a little behind Masaki off to his right. Her head turned toward Sid, who took a step back in surprise before leaning in a bit. Probably trying to figure out why she didn't have any eyeholes to see out of. He eventually looked back at Masaki, saying slowly "They try to avoid conflict as much as me, so negotiations would be the better route. Even if it's something small, you can work something out." Moors just watched. So far, this guy didn't seem to be lying or try to weasel his way out of anything. Leaning over a little, she asked in a whisper "Going to consider?" Trading would be easier, but not as rewarding as intimidation. The problem was that they didn't know who or how many were at the place Sid was talking about.

A gust of unnatural wind, so strong that it felt more like he was being pushed by a physical entity than actual wind, knocked Jacob right off his feet and into the dust, giving him a good deal of scrapes. Isabelle went down beside him, though was a lot quicker to get back to her feet and face her assailant. He wasn't so quick to get up, not wanting to deal with another freak windstorm, but twisted from where he was sitting just in time to see Moors pop into view. Dammit. So they were powered after all. That would make running much more difficult, fighting even more so. Looks like he would just have to trust Sid's negotiating abilities, and as someone who wasn't too keen on putting his life in someone else's hands, especially not a stranger they'd mugged not too long before, this entire situation was looking bleaker and bleaker. As he turned back around to get up, that was when he saw the man in the alley, looking right through him with a blank stare but leaning out of hiding just enough to let Jacob know he was there before quickly moving back behind a rusting dumpster. So he's watching after all. At least if things went south, the two of them weren't completely alone.

(probably should have asked this earlier but is it okay for Masaki to have two powers? It would make more sense since he is the current boss of the gang. I originally planned it to be fire but its okay if I have to change it)
Masaki looked at Moors through the corner of his eyes "Of course I'm going to consider it. Plus it's not like I can't just take everything if negotiations dont work" he said quietly "But if they do work we have a possibility of expanding our territory even further." He added before turning his gaze back to Sid "I can totally see why your friend would like to avoid conflict, especially in these times. Especially when your on your own you don't know if whoever you get into an argument with is part of a gang or some group of thugs."

Jamie strode across the countryside with what appeared to be a sense of purpose, but in all reality he was just trying to survive at this point. A large bag on his back was almost flat, barely anything in there other than a small blanket and a barely working digital camera. The backpack had not held food in weeks as the only food Jamie had found was immediately eaten. His other other possession, other than the clothes on his back, was a pocket knife he kept clipped to his pants. It wasn't the gun that he had lost a week ago but it was at least some form of protection. The boy held himself like an adult, but had the look of someone who was still in their teens. No doubt due to the fact he grew up with little food available. Despite being an adult he was often mistaken for a child, someone who still needed help to survive in the world. He sometimes preyed off this misunderstanding to continue surviving, though most of the time he leaves before the person in question has a chance to figure out he is a 'full grown' adult. His dark hair was long, thin and sometimes fell out, though that wasn't an uncommon occurrence anymore. He was scrawny, his baggy clothes hiding just how thin he was at this point. If it wasn't for the fact that he could absorb energy around him, he would probably have stopped moving a long time ago. Sadly, this 'energy' wasn't that good of a substitute for food. It was like chugging down an energy drink, sure he can continue moving for a little longer, but it didn't fix the root cause. The biggest downside of using this ability to keep his feet moving was that apparently 'spirits' or 'ghosts' or whatever were also taken in. It was loud, obnoxious, and frankly it stressed him out most of the time. He could barely hear over the roar of probably around a couple hundred people who had died in their own horrible way. Each with their own input on what to do next, sometimes trying to forcefully take control-luckily Jamie had gotten used to this and that was a rare occurrence-and just talking like two old ladies on a porch. He wanted to vacate all the spirits, he didn't care where they went, they just needed to leave. He just had to figure out how.
(its been too long since I had to make a starter xP)

(I know the feel, lmao. That'll do nicely though!)
"Odis, I swear, you've got no idea what you're talking about!" On the end of the fields was a small farmhouse, country house and garage. On the porch of the home sat two men, one in a chair and another on the edge of the porch. The one in the chair was in the middle of some kind of retort to the other, and he was named Richter. Short, short-tempered and immature, but a brave and intelligent young man. He was much better in a fight then in a conversation. Odis was the seated one, at the edge of the porch, petting the squirrel in his hand. This squirrel, injured by a trap, was the topic of discussion- it was food, not a pet. But Odis, a humongous man with a mohawk of ginger hair and body like a bodybuilder, wasn't one to take action against- he was a simple gentleman, who enjoyed beauty and nature, and forcefully retired those who would harm it. "I understand you want to find an alternative food source." Odis answered. "But we must also be mindful of the weakened ecosystem. I've already suggested we try to begin farming, perhaps invite the next people we see to join us in the endeavor." Richter rolled back his eyes. "We can't! We'd have t' build some kind of fence around this 'ntire farm to protect our coin and beans an' whatever." Odis shrugged. "Then we would. I'm sure Ellis would agree." He offered up. Ellis was inside the farmhouse, resting after an injury a few days ago. Bringing her up was a trump card to Richter. "Ah.... bugger. Whatever."
Both stopped when they glanced across the barren fields. Someone was approaching. Odis stood to wave at the stranger, while Richter ran inside for a gun.

Sid smiled slightly. "There's a thin line between gangs and thugs these days." He looked between the others there, sighing a little as he continued "Well then, how about you gather up what you'd like to trade and then we can see about heading over there. Either way, I need to get there soon." He gestured to the crossbow bolt in his arm again. Should he take it out? Maybe? Probably not. He'd rather let the "professionals" handle it instead of him trying and accidentally making things worse or something. "You gonna have someone stay and watch us? Or are we going with you to get your stuff?" He watched Moors look over at Masaki, probably for orders. Hm. He wondered what the story was of how they all ended up as a group, and how many more were in said group.

As Jamie trudged on, he caught sight of some type of farm house. To his surprised it didn't look completely broken down like most of the other houses he had seen through the years. As he stared the voices he heard got louder and more urgent. He could barely pick out a few words here and there don't go. go. food. run. death. please. stop. going. he could tell most of them came from full sentences that he wasn't able to grasp fully, he wished they could talk one at a time but he has long given up that hope that he would be able to get them to stop talking all at once. Regardless of his hesitation, he decided to start to approach the building, having not seen the people sitting comfortably on the porch till he got quite a bit closer. He hesitated again the voices ramping up once more with some of the same things but also including the classics such as People? People! Talk! Leave! No. KILL! NO! Oh they were arguing more clearly with each other this time. That was rare. Move! Something. okay? around. Luckily he was able to pick up one full sentence from the chorus of voices If they have a nice house like this maybe they can help us. Finally a plan he can actually follow. Jamie took a deep breath and kept walking towards the house, steeling his nerves for the people to probably chase him out of their home. Should he make himself appear taller? Less scrawny? Like an adult? No. No. Maybe he can get their sympathy, plus he didn't want to waste energy on trying to create an illusion at this point.

Masaki lit up his finger with a small flame "One my group wouldn't appreciate if I took someone to our base of operations if they weren't one of us. Two, if I did take you you would probably be complaining about you getting an infection. So how about I just cauterize that wound of yours. It'll get rid of the bacteria as well as stop the bleeding" He said "But how about we just head to your friend's place right now?"

Sid smiled slightly. "Well, if we head there now, I sure hope you aim to negotiate or something since you won't be bringing anything. I'm serious about the people there." He then went back to the matter of his injury, shaking his head. "As much as the offer is appreciated, I'd prefer not to let strangers near me with fire. I like to think my willpower will keep infection from setting in too bad by the time we get there. It'll be manageable." And with that, he put his knife away and grabbed his wagon handle, beginning to pull it along, assuming the others were following. Moors simply began to follow him, as Masaki said that that was what they'd do first before anything apparently.

Masaki started to follow Sid "So, any room in that wagon of yours or you gonna make us walk the entire way there?" He asked curiously. Masaki was not fond of walking long distances but would if he absolutely had to. The only thing he was worried about was Raion since he didn't have the same high stamina that Masaki did. "Also how far away is it?" He asked

(It's fine)
Sid shook his head. "Unless you can shrink to the size of a cat, no." His wagon was just a rusty blue rectangle with wheels, carrying his few belongings. Smiling slightly, he simply gestured for them to continue following. "It's a few hours away, though we'll be fine with a break or two." He looked back at the three, Moors simply watching him. Studying him to make sure he didn't try anything. Not that he'd ever consider it. That wouldn't bode well, especially with a three on one disadvantage. The thought made him chuckle slightly, just continuing on his way. "So, what's the deal with this group, huh? I doubt any of you are childhood friends or the like. You had to have met somehow on the road perhaps?"

"You could say that" Masaki said "I've been friends with Raion a lot longer than with Moors though. I do trust them with my life. I would be a pretty bad leader if I didn't trust them, wouldn't I? I think it's been about 4 or 5 years since I first met Raion. Wasn't as big of a guy as he is now but he was still one of the best fighters I knew around."
Raion felt his chest swell a little bit with pride "Though you still tend to be an annoying prick at times Masaki" he said avoiding the term boss at the moment. He didn't know how Sid would react though he had an idea. Raion figured that he wouldn't take them there and would defy them until his very last breath which Raion figured Masaki had already thought of

Sid nodded slowly as he listened. Seemed they were close in a way. He looked over at Moors, who didn't say squat. Not even the gang knew where the f*ck she came from. Just that she showed up when she did, and became one of Masaki's closest people. She proved to be a useful member though, and effective killer. "So," Sid said slowly "What powers do you three have, huh? I don't have any myself." Moors tilted her head slightly as she walked. Still didn't say anything, but her two companions knew that her two powers resided within teleportation and some sort of power to make up for no apparent sight. She then just looked back toward Raion and Masaki, deciding to just stay a listener.

"As I've already shown, I can manipulate and control wind as well as make fire" Masaki said "I'm not going to tell you how strong my wind and flames are mainly because I don''t really trust you just yet. Raion here has super hearing so if you have a weapon in there and you reach for it, he will know and warn me. It'll be good for when we get there in case someone pulls a weapon on us. Moors here has teleportation and I guess you call it... echolocation kinda. That's probably the best way I can explain it since I don't exactly know. I'm not entirely sure how to explain it other than that she can't see us the way me and you do. It was probably a side effect from when she was born or something along those lines"

He thought to himself, come to kneel on the ground; after all, he was practically twice the boy's height. He disguised this action by leaning down and letting the little critter go. " Greetings! I am Odis, who are you?" He called, despite their closeness and powerful voice.

Jamie's eyes darted to the man's lips the moment he started to speak. He normally could barely hear anyone outside of his head when they were all talking at once. However, he could catch on that the man had a weird name-but who's he to judge-and he was asking who he was. "Pleasure to meet you, I'm Jamie" He paused and took a quick look at the barn and anyone else that was outside at that moment before continuing "May I ask how you manged to get such a nice house in this age?" He gave a quick gesture to home, hoping his asking was not going to pass any lines and that he didn't just put all the inhabitants on edge.
(did I not mention Jamie is 5 feet? rip)
