Lighting rolled her eyes at the other tom. "Its not like she would stay for long." She snapped back at him. She sighed, she knew he did have a point. There was probably no prey around now after what just happened. She glanced up, the sun now peeking over the trees. She looked at dark brown tom, "I can take her as soon as my paw heals. It wont take that long, its just some thorns that are stuck." She said, a little nicer. She was in no position to get into an argument, especially with a stronger cat.

Hail heard commotion nearby and flattened her ears, great, just when she was trying to get a nap in. The lanky gray-blue shecat stalked to the group and watched them from a bush before sighing, "Then why don't you at least try to get them washed, could get worse" She snarked as she moved forward, long tail flicking in annoyance, "And be quieter, gossiping near a warm spot never brings anything good" She said, dark eyes staring at them before she shifted her weight away from a scarred paw and onto the more solid side of her body, she disliked loud noises, reminded her too much of her old group. Those are not good memories to remember on her relaxation time.

Lighting growled and instinctively limped in front of the others, she wasn't sure why. Its not like she cared if they got ripped to pieces. It would make her life easier. "Who are you?" She hissed through her teeth. Another cat? Since when were there so many loners? She ignored the she-cats advice, letting her stubborness butt in.

"Hmm? And why would you assume I'm talking about me? Though I am surprised they let their markers fade.. anyway." She said looking at the shecat, ignoring the tom with a curious once over, "Though I guess I should introduce myself, I am Hail, former rogue and a pretty bad temper" She said with a dip of her head, "Not trying to be aggressive mind ya"

Lighting snorted, "I noticed the temper." She growled as she twitched the tip of her tail. This can was getting on her nerves now. She didn't know any of them but there was no need for her to butt in. She tried to forget what the cat just said about others. Lighting stepped forward again, trying to keep her fur flat on her shoulders. "Former rogue?" She asked in a low voice. She realized that all of these cats, apart from the kittypet were probably stronger than her since she was injured, so she should probably be more patient.

She nodded with a shrug, "You grow up around a cause why not shed blood for it?" Hail said before backing up slightly, "Though I grew up and realized how wrong they were and left, and that's it honestly" She said before flicking her tail again, "Anyway just giving a warning of sorts, they enjoyed hanging around here and they don't like outsiders that much"

"How many are there?" Lightning asked, now a little curious. What if they came for them? Surely they wouldn't be able to defend themselves against a group, they weren't even a group! Lighting glanced up, the sun was rising more now, they had been chatting for a while. She wasn't too sure if she wanted to stay here or go back. She kind of thought this cat was lying, she had lived in the area her whole life and never scented any strong traces of cat groups.

Flare sniffed. “Well, isn’t that strange. I’ve been visiting this area for moons and it was always vacant when I was here,” He tilted his head as a new thought occurred to him, as this she-cat didn’t exactly give him the impression of a liar. But then again, he never knew. In fact, he of all cats should know that appearances didn’t tell you anything about the cat. Gumdrop looked like the fluffiest, most adorable, most harmless cat around, but she was a ruthless member of Scrap’s band and was feared by all for her two-facedness. “Perhaps these rogues are a traveling band who’ve recently settled in this area?” he ventured a guess, raising a brow questioningly at Hail.

"Yeah, they're definitely wanderers, I know while they enjoy this place they won't always be here, theres around.. five? Last I was around there was five, they generally don't allow new people in so around five." She said idly, looking at him she smiled and nodded once, "I don't know, I haven't been around them for a long time"

Olive glanced gratefully at the black she-cat. She wasn't sure she could've defended herself against the brown tom's kittypet taunts. As Hail spoke, she couldn't keep the fear from her gaze. A hostile band of loners lived in the woods? I guess I'm just as safe in Twolegplace as I am out here. A sudden thought occurred to her, sending a trickle of ice down her spine. "Wait... What if those cats come here? Would they be angry with us?" The tortoiseshell glanced nervously over her shoulder as though considering an escape back through the thorn bush.

"Doubt it, they don't mind housepets much. They just don't like other cats bothering them." Smiling she looked at the tortoiseshell she-cat and shifted her weight back and forth in thought, "I highly doubt they'd be aggressive, especially to someone like you" she said, coughing slightly as she realized she sounded kinda flirty. Pausing as she set her weight on her left she looked down.

Lighting flicked her gaze to the tom. She shifted her weight unconsciously toward him when she looked at the two she-cats. "Uh... Well what now? We cant leave the kitty-pet in the forest alone." She watched the tom once more. And as much as I dont want to admit it, I am defence-less if they leave. Plus she kinda liked this tom hanging around, she was still unsure about the she-cat and other tom, he didn't speak much. And the Kitty-pet she didn't think would like it out here. She moved her gaze away from him when she realized she was staring, she flicked her ears nervously and looked into the forest.

Lighting realized the Tom was looking at her. She cursed to herself. Of course hes trying to make the kittypet feel better! She couldn't really agree or say they could take on the rogues. She was injured, there was a kittypet and another rogue that she didn't know if she trusted. "I mean... We could probably take them if they came by." She lied, glancing at Olive before looking back at the Tom. "But we would be better off finding a new location to rest if you want to stay in a group. I can teach the kitty-pet some basics when I heal a little more." She added as she walked past the Tom, her fur brushing lightly against his. She half limped to the edge of the clearing and laid down to try to pick the thorns out. They were probably so embedded now! She flicked her tail in frustration.

Hail walked over to her and laid down, "Want some help? They look pretty bad" She said quietly before saying "They don't like being near the river, too loud, theres a point where the river is very loud nearby, it should be safe. If you'd like I can also come with."

Lighting shook her head and got up. "I dont need help from you thanks." She muttered. She appreciated the she-cat's helpful thought but she wasn't sure she trusted her yet. She didn't really trust any of them except the tom, only a little. She wasn't sure why. She dipped her head lightly Hail, she wasn't sure what she was going to do. Part of her didn't want to separate from the tom, it was the first cat she felt a little trust towards since she lost her family. Sighing, she laid down again not far away, picking at the thorns, she managed to get one of the three out.

Lighting perked her ears at the tom. Was he serious? She got up and trotted toward him. Why did she care what any of them did? She liked being alone, it was a lot less stressful on her when the only cat she had to worry about was herself. "Do you really think that is a good idea?" She said lowly, worry sparked her gaze before it was gone. She didn't know if it was a good idea to trust this cat. But then again, no one knew anyone here.

Lighting growled and batted his ears. Why was he such a mousebrain? "I was going to tell you that it wasn't a good idea. But since you are so head strong I guess you do what you want." She growled lowly as she walked into the bushes, she was barely limping now but she would still have to get the thorns out. But right now she just wanted to leave this group of fleabrains. For some reason the toms reaction hurt only a little. Shaking her head she sighed, it would be better for everyone if she just stayed to herself. Once she thought she padded far enough she scented the air. She felt her fur rise a little. The faint scent of rogues tickled her nose, she would defend herself the best she could.

Olive blinked in disbelief as the ginger tom and black she-cat disappeared. Surely they'd be safer if every cat stuck together? Whatever Hail claimed about her group not being a threat, the band of loners was clearly dangerous enough for the blue-gray she-cat to want to leave them. And she didn't like the thought of being left alone with the brown tom, who'd made it quite clear that he wanted nothing to do with a house cat. He'd already fought off a dog for her-- it wasn't likely he'd risk his pelt a second time."Wait!" she cried, turning first in the direction the she-cat had left, then the way the tom had stormed off.

Lighting sighed as she padded on. Was it really a good idea to leave those cats? She shook her head as she curled in a ball under a fern plant. It was sunhigh now, but she was tired. And needed to think. They wouldn't be hard to find if she decided to go back. She let out a small huff as she tried to get the other thorns from her pad. How could a cat who seemed to care, suddenly turn cold? She didn't understand toms.

Hail sighed and said sarcastically, "Well I do love family reunions" before moving in front of Olive and lashing her tail, "Though really, calling out is a bad idea darling" she said flattening her ears as she looked to the incoming noise. "This will be fun"

Lighting flattened her ears when yowling pierced the air a distance away. What is wrong with that kittypet! Suddenly the scent of rogues washed over her. She let out a hiss when two rogues walked through, staring at her with their claws unsheathed. Lighting growled and unsheathed her claws. They had to go through her before hurting the other cats. They would probably make short work of her though, She was far enough away from the other cats that they could have a chance at running away. "Who are you?" The leading cat asked with a hiss, his brown tabby tail lashed, almost causing Lightning to flinch when he stepped toward her. "Im just passing through." She said through her teeth, his golden eyes narrowed at her.
Everyone wanna take a rogue? There are 5, three are hiding))

//hail is ready to murder a brother honestly
Hail hissed as a younger tom stalked in front of her, they looked pretty similar as he grinned, "Hello dear sister" she snarled before moving forward and quickly grabbing his flesh with her teeth and jumping back. She knew how her brother fought, knew how to combat him. "Leave."

Flare whirled around, in search of more rogues. He caught sight of a pair of amber moons gleaming from a holly bush at the edge of the clearing. “Come out and fight, mange-pelt!” he hissed. The cat, seeing as she had no option, slunk out of the bush, claws at the ready. Flare lunged at the scruffy dark brown tabby, blood rushing in his ears.
He heard her yowl as if from far away as his claws raked across her face, slicing open her nose. She staggered backward for a heartbeat, blinking blood out of her eyes, then struck at his face. Flare felt his cheek wound re-open, though there was no time to register the fact, as the she-cat ducked low and tried to slither under him and sink her claws into his belly fur. The tom let his legs buckle as he dropped his weight on her; she was smothered, forepaws flailing, desperately raking his sides. He pressed down harder, until he felt her go limp.
Cautiously he eased off the rogue, taking up a ready stance should she try to attack him again. She stood hunched over, panting for breath as he glared up at him through murderous ember-hued eyes.
“Get out!” he snarled at her. “Go on, shift! Next time I lay eyes on your flea-bitten pelt I’ll rip it off!” The rogue stared hard him, not moving until he took a threatening pawstep forward. She hesitated, glancing at her fellows, who were screeching as they combated the others, then whirled around and sprinted from the clearing.

As she lunged forward again she caught his leg and nearly snapping his leg before he wrenched it from her mouth and he snarled as he left leaving her panting and slightly bleeding. Turning around she looked at Olive, "You okay?" she asked, concerned as she waited for everyone else to come back as she continued to try to catch her breath.
