I am never again going to attempt to finish a thread on an iPad. I’ve just noticed half of my description for Boneshadow has been lost to the ether. In short he is a quiet and careful tom, preferring to watch from the shadows then voice his opinion, but fiercely protective.

oof i wanted to get out a starter for my cutie~ S u n f l o w e r p a waccompanied by: (Mentions)Spiderpaw [ ʙᴜᴍʙʟᴇʙᴇᴇ » ] Herb hunting was probably one of Sunflowerpaw's favorite things to do. Especially when Ravenswoop let her break off the trail and gather stuff by herself, without him looming over her shoulder. It made her feel independent and like a true medicine cat. While she knew she had many moons to go before she could be a full medicine cat, she was still very ecstatic when she was trusted enough to be let out by herself. Tail flicking excitedly, she paced the open moor land and sniffed at the ground occasionally, her attention obviously set on finding an herb that the clan needed.
Sunflowerpaw paused in her search when her eyes fell on a small group of dandelion flowers. Eyes sparkling, the small she-cat forgot her search of herbs and bounced over to the pretty yellow flowers. With a soft purr, the young medicine cat apprentice nipped the flowers out of the ground and sat back, carefully weaving the stems into a small flower crown of the sorts. She lifted it onto her head, before continuing on with her search.
After finding the desired cat-mint and dock leaves, the young apprentice turned her tail to the moor and headed back towards the camp they called Hidden Meadow. Ears twitching, Sunflowerpaw was more excited about the flowers she had gathered over the simple herbs she had wrapped in a thick leaf.
Slipping through the thick thorn barrier, the ginger and white tabby molly looked around before going to the medicine cats den. She dropped off the herbs before crossing camp once more in search for Spiderpaw. Stopping outside, she looked around to make sure the apprentice wasn't outside of the den before peering inside. "Spiderpaw? I have something for you!" Sunflowerpaw giggled, her amber eyes glittering excitedly. She really hoped the pretty apprentice would like the dandelions she picked for her!

Ooh potentially blind in one eye, and that’s how the mother died. Protecting her kit that the past leader had deemed ‘weak’ and hence not worthy of being in the clan?

Hornetstar - - - Camp, Open. By the time morning had broken over FlintClan territory, the leaders den had long been absent of its sole occupant. The muscled ginger tom in question had been awake with the birdsong, and had spent the hours prowling the edges of the Hidden Meadow. Carefully tracing the barrier walls in search of any breaches or weaknesses. To a less vigilant cat the task likely wouldn’t have taken half as long, but the ginger tabby had taken it upon himself to patch up even the smallest issue he came across. Paranoid, perhaps, but he preferred that descriptor over laziness and it was better safe than sorry. When he had finally finished, his body ached and tiredness filtered through his thoughts, but it was a job well done and he was pleased with his efforts. Turning his attention from the work at paw to the camp settled at the centre of the meadow. His multicoloured gaze dancing across each den one by one, his original intention had been to continue the task onto the dens themselves. Searching for problems in the structures and fortifying them, but even he had to admit it was best to leave that to another day. The work was mundane and frustrating, especially when conducted alone. As a result he figured he more than deserved a break to do something at least marginally more enjoyable. Initially his gaze traveled to the apprentices den, where his kits were likely still dead asleep. Not that they could much be considered kits any more, given what he’d been told by their mentors about their progression towards the rank of warrior and medicine cat. A quiet fondness lit Hornetstar’s expression. Perhaps I’ll take them hunting, he reasoned with a twitch of his ears, Sunflowerpaw might have chosen a different path, but it didn’t leave her incapable in that respect, and honing of such a skill could prove useful to any cat. Plus it meant he could spend time with the pair, even if for only a short while. Leadership was a role he enjoyed, but it didn’t leave a great deal of time for more familial matters, still he tried to fit in what he could where possible. He hadn’t the best role models when he’d been their age, no one did, and he was determined to prove himself in that regard. However, it seemed his plans weren’t meant to be. As he spotted his daughter return to camp with a bounce in her step and leaves carefully gathered in her jaws, seemingly so excited about something or other she failed to notice her father nearby. His whiskers twitched in amusement as he watched her bound away, without a care in the world. Nothing brought him greater joy than to see his clan thriving, though admittedly the fact it was his own kin did help. Deciding to leave his daughter be, Hornetstar decided the prospect of a hunt was still a necessary one given the currently rather barren state of the fresh kill pile. But it didn’t seem there was a great number of cats out and about in camp just yet, so he contented himself for now with settling in a sunny part of camp to groom and rest his aching bone for a little while before he returned to his usual duties.
Boneshadow - - - Camp, Open. The leader hadn’t been the only early riser that morning, as Boneshadow had spent his morning on a solo hunt at the dry river bed. Clamped in his jaws were a pair of mice swinging by the tails. As a result his pale grey coat was muddied by the dust that naturally plagued the area but it didn’t seem that the handsome warrior had noticed, or at the very least didn’t care. Of recent his brain had been concentrating on a million other things, and his appearance neared the very end of the list. He was going to be a father. Whilst he’d managed to get his head around the fact enough that it didn’t quite terrify him as much as the news initially had, enough to the point where he could almost be described as excited by the prospect. But still there was a concern buried in his heart for the future of not only his clan, which was always a worry to the quiet tom, but now his future kin. Dropping half of the catch onto the freshkill pile, still absent minded as he moved almost instinctually towards the nursery. He did what he could to be a supportive mate, and hoped he was convincing enough in his attempts to persuade the Queen he was fine. Boneshadow reasoned his mate surely had enough on her mind at this point without worrying what her mate was feeling on the matter. Pushing through entry of the nursery, the main entryway had long been boarded up to prevent wind from breaching into the precious den, and a natural gap in the walls had been repurposed to an easier protected entrance. The tom cat cast his gaze around the spacious den with a careful gaze, soon spotting the familiar sleeping form of his mate. Initially deciding not to disturb her, the soft grey warrior lowered the mouse to rest it in the moss at her side, before turning away as quietly as he could to withdraw from the den and allow her much deserved sleep.
I’ll get Wilted written up tomorrow

Spiderpaw had been having nightmares for days. Horrible dreams, where the trees turned to monsters and leered at her without eyes, their frail branches reaching for her as if to draw her into them and add her to the trunk. It had been a week since she'd gotten more than a mere few hours of sleep, but her pride prevented her from saying anything. Well, that, and the fact that she already knew how to solve her issue. It was only a matter of figuring out how to go about that.
See, Spiderpaw had a friend. She had a friend that she was hopelessly confused about, because every time Spiderpaw saw this friend, her heart began to flutter in her chest and she never wanted to stop smiling. This friend could brighten the young apprentice's day simply by walking into the apprentices den - something that had become a common occurrence in recent moons. But this friend was not only a friend, not to Spiderpaw. No, she had long ago realized that her feelings for the young medicine cat apprentice ran deeper than what they did for other cats. But Spiderpaw hid her feelings as much as she could, for the young Sunflowerpaw followed a code all her own, one that kept her from Spiderpaw.
It was Sunflowerpaw's voice that brought Spiderpaw out of her thoughts, eyes brightening as the pretty young medicine cat apprentice drew her outside. Oh, she looked so beautiful in the sunlight. Spiderpaw was sure that her sweet friend was really, truly glowing. At least, she was to Spiderpaw.
"Good morning dear. What is that that you have? It looks very pretty," Spiderpaw purred brightly. It rumbled in her chest, low and without break. Sitting back on her haunches, the cream Somali apprentice pawed at the flower crown in front of her, a fond look in her eyes. It wasn't the first flower crown that she'd been brought, but each was always so unique she found herself asking no matter what, even if only to hear Sunflowerpaw talk about it, and the types of flowers, and why she'd pick them that particular day.

Skullpaw - With no one at the moment - Heading back to camp -
Skullpaw was unsure on how to take the news about Blackswan's pregnancy... For about the millionith time it seemed, the young black and white apprentice sat at her secret, special spot, and contemplated... The special spot was in fact a small stream, nothing fancy, something that others passed by with little thought. But further down the stream, a bit further away from where her clan mates usually traveled, there was a small log that had fallen over the stream, and moss had covered over it, making it soft and springy. The gurgling stream underneath spat out bubbles, babbling song's that Skullpaw couldn't understand, but she assumed that fish could. Wouldn't it be so cool to be a fish?
But alas, Skullpaw came here when she felt confused, or angry, or sad, or any other emotion she didn't know how to express around others. Out here, alone, she didn't have to worry about expressing things wrong. Her claws flexed in and out of the water soaked log beneath her, and once again, she weighed the pros and cons about her brothers expected litter.
Okay... So... Pros: * I'll be able to have little nieces and nephews to play with! * Brobro will be really happy, and I like when he's happy... * We'll be continuing our blood-line-thing I think! * Uhm... The clan will benefit, I guess...
Okay, good! Now Cons: * I don't like Blackswan. * She's taking my brobro away from me. * He loves her more than me and now he's going to love his kits more than me. * His kits won't like me because I'm too weird. * She's going to break his heart one day. * Eventually he's going to forget you exist. * And then you'll be all alone. * You'll be all alone. * You'll be all alone.
"Hnng!" Skullpaw groaned miserably and held her paws against her head that was suddenly pounding, like there was an Earthquake going on in her brain. Certainly, part of her had to have known she was over reacting, but she lacked the foresight to acknowledge it as such. Skullpaw opened her big yellow eyes and looked somberly down to the water, looking at her watery liquid reflection. "I don't want her to take him away... It's NOT FAIR!" She yowled, her sadness just felt previously replaced with a harsh anger. She jumped down into the small stream and kicked up small pebbles in frustration, throwing a fit like an aimless kit. Droplets of silvery water flew through the air as she violently thrashed around, drenching her body up to her underbelly.
Eventually her anger ebbed away, and the hollow, scared feeling sunk back into her stomach, a heavy boulder that seemed impossible to move. Part of Skullpaw wanted to sit here and sulk forever... But, the other part knew she couldn't stay out here forever... She hauled herself out of the water near the pebbles strewn along the bank and shook out her fur, it was still hanging in strands from the belly down, but waiting for it to dry would take forever. With a heavy sigh Skullpaw began to lurch back to camp at a slow pace. She would come to contemplate again tomorrow.
Ravenswoop - With no one at the moment - Clan Camp -
Where is that girl? I sent her out to collect herbs hours ago! It hadn't been hours. Either Ravenswoop was in a very cranky mood today, (like all days) or he was growing more and more senile. And seeing as how the tom was only 40 moons, the former seemed the most accurate. Ravenswoop sat in the medicine cats den facing the herb storage wall, accomplishing nothing except looking cross. I swear, Hornetstar only made her my apprentice because she's his daughter. That kid needs to put in some serious effort if she expects to make anything for herself. Sour thoughts ate at his brain as he got up and began to pace around the small space. The nests aren't even made! Didn't I tell her to clean out the old ones and bring in new ones? Wait... Did I? ... Well it doesn't matter! She's should have noticed and taken care of that herself.
Finally he heard the trotting paws of his apprentice coming back into the den, and as expected she was carrying the herbs he had requested of her. And yet, just as soon as she had come, she had left again, bouncing out of the den with the glee of a kitten getting to tour the camp their first time. He wanted to yowl at her to come back here, but... She had brought the herbs, pulling her back just to chastise her for taking too long just seemed needless. They had more training to get to today, but it was still early morning, most still needed to eat their morning meals.
Ravenswoop pawed the herbs she had collected to his side and with the annoyed huff of an elder, began to organize them back onto the shelf.

Sorry for multiple posting in a row, but I had an idea for a new character I’ve just added that I’ve played with before and could be interesting and heartbreaking if anyone is up for it, the charrie is Stormlily - a Queen because of course, and I was thinking maybe her kits are of age to be weaned when the dark forest initially takes over? And Storm is exhiled and forced to leave her kits behind. Would it interest anyone? And would anyone potentially like to be her mate, cause that could be equally interesting!!!
