Ooooh cool, I know there were a few of these back in the old forums. WFF could always use the extra activity Maybe people could post 100-word or 1-paragraph pieces to add to the story (depending on how specific you want to be). Maybe you should get people involved before even starting the story... Say, hold a WFF brainstorming session for main characters + personalities, POV, basic plot, side characters, and maybe hold polls on whatever we come up with. Could get the project buzzing and bring a unified sense of direction from the outset. I'd love to participate

That sounds like a good idea! As for someone for the new writers, I can think of two off the top of my head but I'm not sure whether they'd want to or not. Asketh! As for other two... Uh... Who is not busy/doesn’t have a million other things to do, and wants too??? :uhh: embertuft and SmugGull Interested? ^^" graygoyle is also a newer writer to the WFF. Uuuuuh. Well, me is still a possibility, but maybe just temp or as back-up. Conferious? Sea Drops by a Bird? Phantomstar? Other than Phantom I haven't really talked enough with the others though, so I don't know. o.o

But it is possible it was at a time when I wasn’t fully active, or the like. And I shall likely create the other threads first, as well. I feel like the basis should be somewhat of an”whole group effort,” for the building blocks. (For now, I do want to set up some set of delegations so it doesn’t get buried as easily...) Oooooh! That also sounds good! Maybe like a 100-250 word limit or the like? (That can be decided later, but still an excellent suggestion I had not considered!)

I have arisen from the grave. Now I’m intrigued in what this is. An attempt to build up posts and camaraderie for WFF. Or at least the introduction of said idea.

@mintedstar/fur
Mint! Should banners be a thing or no? Like for each thread? Or would that be too much?

Glad I could help ^^ And yeah, those were more informal "keep adding to the story" sorts of things, usually didn't last more than a week. But now that I think about it the ones I remember were very early on. When you make the planning page, would you mind tagging me? I'd like to get back into the WFF community, and this honestly sounds like a great way to do it

Applies to the below: I would think that maybe maybe having two to three people like the Potluck is currently done? Then they're like the final decision in a tied vote or maybe do the plot run downs and makes sure that things are sticking to the rules. As for being in charge, I could help out? I have the Potluck, so I'd have to see, but I could at least pitch in. And it's your idea, so I assume you might want to the voice against my optimism to balance things into a realist outlook. And maybe ask around to see if anyone else wants to keep an eye on it. It don't have to be like a leader of a clan, but just someone to edit the front page, start up the polls, and break ties. Otherwise they participate as usual. ) Hopefully the tags are right, but this is why Mint summoned you two specifically. Since I mentioned it would be best for there to be someone representing newer writers for one of the three. SmugGull embertuft

So it's sort of like a very large co-story. Everyone and anyone can take part, pitching in with where plot can go in an almost RP-style. For example, there's one main character called Rosepaw and a handful of rogues as minor characters. Well, Person 1 starts off the story with Chapter 1 and Rosepaw's exile from the clans. Then Person 2 continues with Chapter 2 and Rosepaw running into these rogues. Then so on. There would be a set of regulations - like max. and min. word limits - which would keep the story roughly in the same style, but still leave it a fun way to write a story with others. Currently, what Katanaheart is looking for is a couple people to look after the main thread and make sure things run smoothly. What's she most wants is for both the veteran writers in the WFF to have fun but also for there to be a newer face helping out so that forumer can better understand what it feels like to be new to WFF and knows ways to be inclusive to other new writers coming in. Sort of like there are a bunch of (I believe it was 2-3 ) Admins of the topic who can participate and function as a regular co-author of the story, but also help make decisions. For example, in the plot discussion, if 50% of the current writers want Rosepaw to rejoin her clan but the other 50% want her to stay with the rogues, then the 'Admins' of the topic would step in and be the tie breaking vote.
So the tag was 1) if you were interested in the idea as a whole and 2) if you were, if you might want to consider helping to run the topic.
