Hello! This idea is based on an abandoned wildlife park. The territory will span most or all of the park. The dens and most of the landmarks will be based around things you would find in a park. I'd love some comments or suggestions to what is needed. I can mostly do all the written stuff and coding, but I'd love some input. The one thing I do need is an artist to help with a map. That is something I'm not good at.
Things needed to be completed: *Welcome *History *Season and Weather *Landmarks *Camp *Plot/Prophecy (?) *Prey *Predators *Credits *FAQ (?)
Completed: *Introduction *Table of Contents *Rules *Warrior Code *Positions *Ceremonies *Herb List *Interactions *Fighting Moves *Territory Description
Help Needed: *Artist for a map of the territory and camp *Clan name? VOTE!
List of Animals: *Badgers *North American Wolves *Red-tailed Hawk *Zerba, Gazelle, Gemsbok, Emu, and East African Crowned Crane *Elk *Camel *Jaguar *Clouded Leopard *Gopher Tortoise *Black bear *Ring-tailed Lemur *Red Ruffed Lemur *Flamingos, Wood Ducks, Mallard, Ring Tealed Duck, and Black-Bellied Whistling Duck *Red Macaw, Blue and Gold Macaw, and Green Macaw *Great Egret *Barn Owl *Great Horned Owl *Reptile, Amphibian, and Insect House: Chameleon, Pygmy Short-Horned Lizard, Spiny-Tailed Iguana, Poison Dart Frog, Eastern Coral Snake, Emerald Tree Boa, Eastern Rattlesnake, Yellowed-Bellied Toad, Leaf-Tailed Gecko, and Colbalt Blue Tarantula Animal Count: 37+

This is the current Introduction:
A faded, overgrown, wooden sign was the first thing that caught your eye. “Welcome to the Thaddeus Wildlife Park! Home to over 30 different animal species from around the world! Our wildlife park…” The rest of the sign was to decayed and destroyed to the point you could no longer make anything out. Your tail twitched, curious as to whatever this twoleg thing was. Because, it was too obvious that this was a twoleg thing. No other creature did something like this. Still, it was weird how old and overgrown it looked. You tilted your head lightly to the side, curious as to this. You decided to pad down the overgrown, rocky path that the twoleg monsters must have used to see what exactly this “wildlife park” was. Maybe it would be a good place to rest and hunt. “Hello, stranger!” A voice called out from above. Glancing up, you see a white and brown tabby she-cat watching you from behind the fallen sign. “You seem a little tired. Don’t worry! We can help.” We? You question in your head as the she-cat joins you on the ground. She gives you a friendly smile before padding off down the path. You watch her for a moment before slowly following. You wonder if it is safe to trust her. But you are tired and hungry. And even if she can only promise rest, that makes it all worth it. You follow her down the path. It leads you past a fence and a large open area covered in more rocks and very few trees. She leads you through another fence – the entrance through this one was much smaller than the other one – and past a few decaying and crumpled twolegs nests. You pause, glancing around in confusion. You had never seen something like this before. Scenting the air, you detect no scent of twolegs. However, the air does smell…different. Like other creatures had been here long ago, not just twolegs. “It was a place they kept animals,” the she-cat said. She kept walking, giving you only a small glance behind her. “A bunch of different creatures used to live here. We don’t know what happened, but they are all gone now. They just left this place behind. We’ve made our home here. This park is our territory.” Confused as to why twolegs would do something like this then just leave it behind. You tread carefully though, wondering if any animals were left behind. You stick tighter to the she-cat. She leads you around a corner where. The scent of other cats begin to hit you. However, you don’t really see much except half walls, wired cages, and broken twoleg things all covered in undergrowth. You follow her to a half wall where she jumps up on top of it. She flicks her tail for you to follow and, of course, you do. You see on the other side a strange pool of water: crystal clear with hard stone covering the bottom. She jumps down as other cats start to show from the bushes and overgrown undergrowth. You follow cautiously but see no unfriendly faces. Most seem willing to greet you. “Welcome!” A deep voice stated. Turning your head, you see the deepest black tom cat you have ever seen. His yellow eyes seem to gaze into your soul. “I am Pantherstar. I help lead this group. You are more than welcome to rest here. We are doing well right now and can spare some time to help you. And maybe, if you decide, you can join us. We would be more than welcoming!” You look around once again, wondering about this place and how this all came to be. Maybe it won’t be so bad staying here…

Heyyyy, I don’t think I can do the map but I can vote for a name, hiddenclan or WastelandClan. For the introduction, I love it, it’s awesome!

I'm the worst drawer you can find, so I'd suggest Fishy for the job. Coloring and shading are more my thing that drawing.))

Like I do you want the classic map style for warriors, or like a hand drawn one with circles and such, because I can try to do a detailed circle one, but I’ll need like the info (in a building? Or outside? Etc.)

Boom! I’m here! I’m a decent drawer when it comes to it, but that can only extend to animals.
(btw this is a cool idea and I’m very interested)

I'm going to set up a poll tomorrow for the name of the clan. Personally, I like HiddenClan cause it shows a bit of mystery~! As for the map, I'm not too sure. I'm thinking of two different maps: one of the park and one of it overgrown with the landmarks and such listed.

Oh yeah. I'm liking Hiddenclan too. But, maybe I can try making the overgrown territory, and see how it goes, and post it up on here. Even though I said I'm not good at drawing.

We will need to figure out a territory/how the park looked. Which means we need at least an animal list. I'm currently suggesting flamingos, tortoises, a reptile/amphibian house, two stores, a restaurant, an education center, and probably two "backstage" animal care areas. It's the rest of the animals we will need to figure out.

Maybe if there’s a little underground section where animals were cared for when ill? It could be a sort of unknown place for the cats that they think is dangerous.

Maybe...I don't think other wildlife parks have those. They usually have caves to introduce animals. What animals do you suggest? Ones that would need cages or a fence please! We can work on the reptiles and amphibians later.

Sweet! Can you think of any caged/fenced in animals we should include in the zoo? We need at least 30.

I'll help. I have a list of animals that can be caged:
Monkeys (Maybe for herbs?)
Birds, preferably parrots
Bears
Badgers
wildcats
Wolves
wild dogs, like dingoes
Reptiles, specifically snakes
some species of hawks and eagles, possibly falcons
Pandas
Some species of amphibians
Larger spiders and/or big bugs I might have more, just let me think. I think there should be a zoo playground, which is infested with mice and cockroaches? And a small aquarium? A greenhouse? Reptile house? I would like the idea that a few lizard species, or animals like geckos, salamanders, and newts, can hang out in the Reptile house. Maybe there can be poisonous, too. I'll research this stuff, I'm already getting started on the caged animals. ))

Oo! I like it! But I'm going to disagree with pandas. Only popular zoos have them. And since this is technically suppose to be a smaller one that closed, we need to keep that in mind with animals.

Sure! That's off. But now that I think about it, if it were a zoo that shut down because of bankrupt, then rarer animals might have to be eliminated, like eagles, because they are rare, and zoos with rarer animals tend to get more money. So that's something to think about too.

I made some fanart, I'm gonna get it right now. It might be a good banner, but it has Pantherstar on it. Which means when he's killed off, it will have to be taken down. So I'm not too sure.

True. Maybe falcons instead. Might need to pull of panthers and just have them mentioned somewhere. Some of the animals can be housed together, like the birds and the zebras and gazelle. I'll add a full list somewhere with an animal count. OMG! It's sooo cute! I love it! I might not be able to draw on a computer, but I can sure do banners and such!

Post by Wildfire* - 🦉 on Feb 24, 2019 14:21:28 GMT -5
And done! Current animal count is 27! The ones that are listed together are ones that are housed together. I've left reptiles, amphibians, and insects out because I figured they would go in the small animal house that they usually go in.

Alligators
Kinkajou
Goat
Toucan
Common and/or Lesser kestrel, maybe American kestrel

I'm good with the American Alligator and a Kestrel! But I think we should focus on what's going to be in the animal house. *Poison Dart Frogs *King Cobra *Eastern Coral Snake *Emerald Tree Boa *Eastern Rattlesnake *Yellowed-bellied Toad *Red-Eyed Tree Frogs *Leaf-Tailed Gecko

I can help you no problem with the reptile house! I was thinking maybe a corn snake or two.
Chameleon
Common Leopard gecko
Pygmy short-horned lizard
Nile Monitor
Shingle-backed Skink or Blue-tongued Skink
Spiny-tailed Iguana
Tuatara
And, inside, there should be a crocodile and an alligator, and, for detail, a faded sign about the differences of the reptiles, where apprentices learn from these things, like information signs and/or photos of dangerous animals all around the park where mentors teach apprentices about the animals.

You should have a Komodo dragon in the reptile house.

|
|
Post by Wildfire* - 🦉 on Feb 24, 2019 15:49:12 GMT -5
I'm gonna say no to the Komodo dragon because bigger zoos have those. And they are just creepy to me. Lol! But we can have a sign about them! Maybe a lizard comparison chart? I'll pick some creatures from each, Vanilla! That way we get a bit of each. Also, the idea about the faded signs is great! I was thinking a lot of stuff on those lines too. Just signs about every creature near where they were housed.

ooooh these are all interesting animals.
What if there was an abandoned Aviary as well? It could be large, acts as a sort of greenhouse, a place where all of the exotic birds like the Macaws live, and the place could be overgrown with invasive tropical plants that spread and even get outside of the Aviary. And maybe it would be a good place for medicine cats to find herbs too? Just an idea.
Only suggesting because my local zoo has one that's really huge and really awesome, so I thought it might be cool to have one in the role-play too ^^

The animals are all gone, Space. This is just to figure out what was there in order to figure out cages and the territory!
That's exactly what I was thinking, Limited! I figured the macaws all lived together in an aviary area close to the other birds mentioned (just not all in the same area). Cutting out the invasive plants (cause that is a road we don't want to go down; too much information to add), it would be a great place for herbs because the ground would be rich in plants from seeds that the birds used to eat and from their droppings. It would be a good place to hunt as well because the seeds would grow plants that have seeds which would attract mice.
