(Well, you draft and go over every reply before posting, yes? I don't. I feel it out, write as a string of thought and emotion, and just post. Bad habit, maybe, but I tend to be that way IRL too, and roleplaying is my way of getting that out.)

Nanuk watched her as she moved, his form shifting a little to accommodate her smaller figure. She was indeed fast, but he didn't make any movement indicating he was surprised. Letting her come at him, she got her first hit in, but he started actually moving to retaliate by the second hit. Now, if he actually went full-boar in a hit, he would likely crush her, even with her power if he did so at the right moment or as a surprise attack. Same result if he had the intent to squeeze her to death, but he didn't. Instead, he just toned it down a deal as he exchanged blows with her. Neither of them were really trying of course though, only going about a casual spar, though casual in this case could be left up to interpretation. Even when he wasn't trying- and it was evident he wasn't trying- he still hit like a rhino! Jerra braced every impact, surprised at the care he would use with each flow just for her. She was gaining aura, but nothing close to what she hoped. There wasn't any chance he would get to see her powered form at this rate, and that was the true reason for this. And she couldn't ask him for anything more than the casual spar she'd already asked for! This would have to do, and she'd play the long game, eventually showing off her form to him. Perhaps the tournament would offer her that chance. But it was big of her to assume he would watch. Jerra planted her back foot and threw a flurry of kicks, at least trying to tap his chest once. Those massive hands and arms as wide as oaks were a great defense.

Akriel shook his head, scratching the back of his head and adverting his gaze "I wish I could say I do. But like I said I really haven't focused on magic. I wish I could tell you that I was good at a specific type. But I've never tried." he felt like he was making things harder for Dakar, but there wasn't much he could do. The most he'd done was watch a merchant use a summon-like ability to get something from their cart without getting up, and been able to do that.

"Ya, you're right. Given the pace we're at we'll be there sooner rather than later. Though my timin might be bit off since I usually fly this route." she tapped her chin with her claw in thought before adding "Based on the sun, I think we'll even have time to go to one of my favorite shops. It closes earlier than you usual shop, unfortunately. Do you have any favorite types of food?" "Meat." He replied in a simple, matter-of-fact tone. Then, a small smile appeared. "I did love those candied berries some merchant brought us many years ago. I guess that would be an extra treat, should we do well."

Eri laughed "I should have guessed. You are a carnivore after all." she replied cheerily "And you can find those berries in town as well. They have almost everything." she'd said it before, and she'd say it again. The town was full of merchants. Speaking of that, as they rounded a corner the buildings came into sight.

Bukrath came to a sudden halt, tense. He had to hold his breath, and shake his fur out at the sight. He'd spent months of his life for this journey, nay almost a year, and it was finally at a head. And so, he had to stop and simply take in the moment. When Eri turned to face him, he smiled back. Then, he began walking once more.

"Finally here. I can't wait to sale some stuff." Eri commented, picking up her pace as she talked "I need to stop by a place that will hold my items, and after that we can go get something to eat." there was no way she was hauling all the extra stuff there. The chance of someone stealing it in town was higher than out here.

"You don't trust people not to steal the items?" The moment the words left his mouth, he slowly nodded. "Yes, I believe that's wise. Let's go quickly." Buk quickened his pace as well, to stay side-by-side with the bat.

𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛 Dakar merely hummed as Akriel answered him. "Seems you focused a bit more on finding me rather than looking into what you can learn with what you have, hm?" He chuckled gently before going silent again. Eventually, they got to their next destination. It was a dome made of transparent purple energy, able to see wisps of energy swirling around like in a bubble. Simply passing through, the lion glanced around the area before turning toward the rabbit again. "So, how would you like to start? Just watching me perform the magic or trying it out yourself? Seeing as you already got a little glimpse." Though he knew Akriel would not do too much at all with just the quick look he had upon coming here. As he waited on an answer, he watched the walls of the dome move about, creating all sorts of shapes and colors with each passing second. Sometimes you could even see symbols and letters of various languages swirling in and out of view.

Samandriel Jerra got a few kicks to his chest, but when he registered the movement he swung a large paw. One would think that he would simply knock her aside, but he actually proceeded to grab her leg and pull. Not hard enough to do anything like break it though. Just to get her off of her feet, letting go of her leg as she fell on her back. This would be when he stepped on the skull of his opponent, but Jerra was of no use to him dead. So, he just stepped back some paces so she could get back up, looking down at her with an impassive expression for the quick moment it would take for her to recover. He wondered what she was to do in the tournament, when she would be able to do more with the people she was fighting, as the competitors there were going to be much more aggressive. Nanuk knew that she would be within the victors' circle though, so he wasn't even thinking about the possibility of having to watch her fly over the edge of the Cliff.

Smokey FeatherJerra held in a yelp. She'd gotten overzealous in her attack, and now she was on her rump for it. A simple grab, pull and stomp was his preferred method after a move like she'd made, and yet it was missed! With a swift roll to her back, Jerra kicked her legs into the air, lifting her up on to her feet with the momentum. This was where she would commend their move. But not Nanuk. He was three times the fighter, higher in position and rank than she. And he was king. To commend him might be seen as talking down to him, and that would practically be ruin. So Jerra brushed aside her hair, readied herself once more, and approached slower. (we can timeskip this all, if you like.)

"We will see about that old friend." Sabre said as he followed after her. He goes back to thinking of ways of making the tournament challenging yet exciting. "Do you think there should be a climbing portion?" He questioned mainly talking to himself.

Bracing herself against her knees, bent forward, Jerra took in large gulps of air. A gut punch had winded her, after all that time of training, and she was having trouble retrieving her breath. But eventually she did, and found herself on wobbly feet. She composed herself as best she could, and dignified her posture once more. "My king, thank you for indulging me this session." She bowed deeply to him, still panting softly under her breath. That was the most intense session she'd ever endured. No wonder he was king. Smokey Feather(reposted for formatting)

Sorry I'm slow to reply!)
"I've never actually had anything stolen, but I'd rather not take the risk y'know." she led the way when the finally entered Crowns Hand. Despite the time, there were still tons of animals roaming around and the noise was a welcome sound. Eri couldn't stand when it was quiet and while she loved travelling, getting to a busy town was almost therapeutic.
The swirling designs were entrancing. Akriel pulled his attention away from them and said "If you could show me how that would be best. I can learn the tricks behind it, but I have to see it for long enough." the time before he'd just seen it for a few seconds, no where near long enough to get a grasp on the complicated spell. He internally hoped that he'd be able to pick up the magic, that he'd have some sort of affinity for it. If not... what had he spent his entire life doing?

Samandriel A simple stare was what she got in return. Looking down at his large paws, he studied the claws and pads for a moment before saying "Go ahead and see to that raid after you have rested some. I want those pests out of here as soon as possible. They've not tried earning their place despite living here for a while, so I will not give them the treatment one of our own would recieve." People would start to whisper about the tribes and ask questions, with Nanuk not wanting the annoyance. Plus he didn't like what were basically freeloaders, so there was that too.

The lion nodded slowly before looking to the dome. Time magic was actually easier to learn compared to "space" magic, so he would start with that first. Watching the dome pass its images in and out of their vision, he started his work. The canvas slowed and eventually came to a complete stop before beginning to move backwards. As it did, you could see shapes of him and Akriel twitching and moving about. They weren't going beak ob time, but Dakar merely showing what had been happening the last few moments and even them walking up to the dome. He didn't speak while he worked, rather just letting the rabbit watch and use his own little spell to see how it all worked. Or get a better grasp of the concept at the very least.

Hawkeyes258 The penguin nodded at the question. "Yes, that would be interesting. There's that huge ice wall at the base of the north side of the mountain. Maybe competitors could climb that with some sort of limit or time or something." She didn't really mind what Sabre decided, so long as it posed a challenge. And if it posed a challenge, then Tishka had people to beat and claim victory over! At the thought, she smirked to herself.

Now Jerra's mind set to accurate ways of assaulting the tribes. The wolves, of course, were the hardest, and with Nanuk's word she would attack them first. The bugs would come next. Those pacifists would be slaughtered.

(I am too lmao) Bukrath nodded. "Would they really try, with me at your side?" He boasted, buffing out his chest and grinning playfully. The surrounding noise didn't bother him much. Although he was accustomed to quieter fields, this was a welcome change.

Samandriel Nanuk had retreated to his throne room, currently sitting in the metal chair as he listened to advisers and informants fill him in on various news. As he listened, his face remained impassive even as he responded and told then what to do about it. And once they were done, scrambling off to go do as he ordered, the next one would come in. At the moment, he just couldn't wait for the tournament. He wanted something entertaining, and listening to news wasn't it. Not that that kept him from doing his job though, as he was always attentive and paying attention, even if he didn't look it.

"Possibly." Sabre instructs the servant to write that down. He wondered if there should be a wrestling section or not. "Mmm I don't want to have to many sections but it still needs to be exciting. Ten seems like a high number. What do you propose?" He asked wanting her opinion.

Jerra padded into the room, shouldering passed the other nobles and higher-up statesmen. Her hands were full, her staff abandoned to a second of hers outside the room. In them she carried what looked to be a ring of canine teeth on a necklace, and in the other hand, the same but filled with stingers or mandibles. Trophies, probably fashioned by the soldiers, and given to her to present to Nanuk. "My king! Good news from the attacks!" She pronounced, her grin full of pride, even as she bowed before him.

Beside and to the back of the throne stood a lightly-armored guard, currently the only of her kind- an insect. She had been by Nanuk's side for quite some time, and despite being young, had protected him on multiple occasions- albeit from attacks he likely could have handled himself. But her resolve now hung by a thread- Jerra Barret, the rising star warrior, had brought a trophy to her king that made her heart drop. Mandibles. Stingers. Clips from wings. This could only mean an insect tribe had been wiped from the map. And the variety meant it must be the large tribe that had settled just within Jhotinai borders. Hornet could barely listen, eyes beginning to fog. Her kind had been destroyed, utterly eradicated. And the worst was Hornet knew they didn't put up a fight.
