Mylo Evans ~ * ~ * ~ Edge chuckled, amused by their banter. "I actually do have a suitcase shaped like a guitar, but it's about a decade old and only fits clothes suited to an eight-year-old. I'm pretty sure it's buried somewhere in my closest back at home." He smirked. That suitcase was a favourite birthday present of his from his mother when he first started learning to play guitar. He'd used it as a guitar case, though it wasn't meant for that, until his mother got him a real one.
In answer to Reuben's question, Edge listed off the instruments he knew how to play. "I know both acoustic and electric guitar, as well as drums, piano and keyboard, and I did a year on the sax in high school. Oh, and I sing too. I'm a band-in-one," he added with a grin.

“It’s okay, I was kidding,” Perri said with a small smile in response to what he said about her name.
She laughed lightly when Reuben made the comment about the guitar-shaped suitcases, and then her smile widened when Edge said he owned a suitcase shaped like a guitar himself.
“Wait they actually exist? That’s amazing. And of course you have one, Edge. That doesn’t surprise me in the least.”
She was genuinely very impressed when Edge started listing off all of the instruments he played.
“That’s amazing,” Perri responded “you’ll have to play us some music sometime while we’re there, that’d be amazing.”
She, too, had by now adjusted so she could see both boys as well as possible, though she looked at Edge now.
“So, where are you studying, Edge?” Perri asked

Mylo Evans ~ * ~ * ~ Perri's comments made him grin. "They do indeed, and of course I have one. Took a deal with the devil to find it, but mi'ama is a very stubborn woman - when she sets her mind to something, she doesn't stop until it's accomplished."
His gaze went to his guitar, and his smile widened. "But of course, querida. Why do you think I brought it?" Well, he also just couldn't leave it behind; he brought that guitar with him literally everywhere. Plus, he was in the middle of writing a song.
He crossed his arms over the back of Reuben's chair. "SFUAD," he replied. "And yes, it's not hard to guess I'm a music major. Music minor too, if we're being technical." He canted his head. "What about you?"

“Hmm,” Perri hummed softly “she sounds like a fascinating woman,”
It led Perri to think of her mother, who was anything but stubborn or determined or single-minded, but in being so had raised a daughter who was. Temperance might never have been as strong-willed and independent as she was if her mother wasn’t like that. And, since she’d divorced Perri’s father, maybe she hadn't always been like that. Either way, Perri was determined not to turn out the same way.
“Well, I was hoping not just for decoration,” she responded “and I’m glad to see I was right.”
She nodded approvingly in response to his university and his major.
“Oh, I’m at UT Austin,” she said with a small smile “and my major is law, and I minor in philosophy.”
She then looked to Reuben so he could jump in here if he wanted to.
(Okay so this is just a reply before I go to bed so that Reuben has a place to jump in because Dream will likely be back online before I wake up tomorrow so you guys can have the boys chat in my absence )

Miller tossed her head back in laughter. "Not a fan of the Big Apple, huh?" She shot back, before raising a brow at his observation. "Country girl? Well, I wouldn't consider myself such, but I did grow up in Southern Florida." She said with a smile, "We don't really associate ourselves with redneck culture," the brunnette added with a wink. She had loved growing up so close to the beach, so she felt like she would be in her element on this vacation.

Reuben listened to Edge list off his musical talent rap sheet with an impressed smile on his face. He had played guitar in high school, but once he got to college, and was playing football pretty much 24/7 he had kind of dropped the hobby. When the question of college came up, he grinned. "Bama baby! I play football there. Quarterback. And I'm majoring in business management."

Cecily Abernathy “Alea iacta est...”
☼☼ ☼ ☼☼
”Right. That does seem to be the last person.” Cecily leaned back in her seat, eyeing those she could see and listening to those she couldn’t. Slowly she closed her book, readying herself as the pilot disappeared into the cockpit.
She had no idea where they were going. All she knew was that it was a tropical island somewhere. Hopefully they weren’t on a one way trip to death or a living nightmare. She had just been accepted to Harvard. She intended to be in class in August. The pepper spray in her bag felt like a weight. It would do little if the people’s intent was to kidnap and sell them away.
Cecily breathed out. Wow. You sound like your father, Cecily. Nothing’s going to happen. The young woman ran a hand along the spine of her book as the plane took off into the sky. Take off had always been her favorite part of a flight. The feeling of her stomach dropping to her feet exhilarated her. She sank down, recognizing that the flight had only just begun.
Ear tuned around her music, she listened to the others introduce themselves as best as she could. It would do her good to know names. The boy who came late - apparently his name was Edge, but who actually named their child Edge? - stated he went to SFUAD. An art school then. Somehow that fit. Then the others, Perri and Rueben, claimed to go to UT and Alabama respectively and her inner Aggie recoiled. She would try not to hold that against them both. All the other conversations were too far or too soft to hear so she turned to her row-mate.
"My name is Cecily, by the way. It's nice to meet you..." she let the question hang out there, hoping for a quick answer. Might as well converse and get to know her since she would be spending three weeks in close proximity to these people. She tried a soft smile.

"Ah, and snakes. You forgot snakes. Big ones too," she said with a laugh. "Although perhaps you'd like them, since you're doing zoology?" Miller added with a wink, before shrugging in response to his question. "Well, Magic here promised to show me some good photo taking tips, so I'm sure that will keep me busy. I also would love to snorkle, if that's an option. Or just explore, really. I enjoy hiking, so if there are any trails on this private island, you know I'm gonna be getting a group together. What about you two?"

“Yeah, that’s fair,” Perri nodded “I guess we don't. Though if you weren’t carrying that guitar I probably wouldn’t have had a clue that you study music.”
It was nice to be up in the air now, though they had twelve hours ahead of them, which she was trying not to think about. Long-haul flights weren’t exactly famed for their pleasantness.
”So, you guys looking forward to this?” Perri asked with a smile
When she’d first got the letter in her, the cynical, law student side of her had told her it was totally a scam and she shouldn’t bother going. And if it wasn’t a scam it could be something far worse, something she shouldn’t get involved in. But she’d looked into it further, did research and made phone calls and it appeared to be genuine. And to be fair she needed the holiday.

"Well I would be love to borrow the camera when I go snorkling! Do you think you'd go snorkling, Magic?" She asked. She didn't want to go alone, but if these two weren't up for it, she was sure she could find someone on this trip who would love to go swimming amongst the coral reefs, tropical fish, and other ocean life.
