Frozenstar stretched his legs as he slipped from his den, a snowwy white mass contrasting against the darkness of night. He was clearly at ease though, by the way he padded forward with his tail swishing and pawsteps steady.

Coming back in from a patrol, Briarclaw quietly padded over to the fresh-kill pile. With a quick glance at the other two she-cats, she greeted them both curtly. "Hollyflower. Robinfall." she added a quick nod after Robinfall's name, a small gesture of respect towards the deputy. She took note of Robinfall's awkward looking posture, but stayed silent. Really, she was a good cat for deputy, she had no reason to be nervous. She took a mouse out of the pile, open to but not fully expecting a response.

Lillie Paws aching, Lillie forced herself to continue walking onward. Used to the soft carpet and smooth wooden floors of her home, the rocks and earthy ground were harsh upon her pink paws. Hunger shook her body, but she couldn't turn back. Not now, not ever. Perhaps she should have eaten a bigger meal before she left. How was she to get food? She had lunged at a few mice and squirrels on sight, but so far caught nothing. Her once pristine coat was now strewn with sticks and dirt. She would have stopped to groom herself, but that would have given her too much time to think. What if these cats didn't exist? What if those stories her mother told her as a kit were just lies? Night had since fallen, and Lillie felt as if that darkness was closing in on her. Pheasantheart wove through the trees with ease and grace, as comfortable in the thick woods during the night as she was during the day. She was on her way home from a brief walk along the twolegplace border, partly for leisure and to get away from camp, but also to check and make sure the twolegs weren't making any moves into the woods. As she walked, however, she picked up the telltale scent of kittypet. A mixture of cats scents heavily intermingled with the stench of twolegs and their pollution, the scent was impossible to mistake. Flicking her ears back cautiously, she picked up her pace, moving quickly but silently through the undergrowth as the tracked the intruder. When she was sure she was close by, she scaled a tree up to a low-hanging branch and caught sight of the cat in question. It was a she-cat, obviously very pregnant, but she stank of twolegs. A kittypet queen, no doubt, who had wandered too far from her garden. "Hey, you!" she called out, cautious but not overly hostile. She'd never been one for starting fights, anyway. "Do you have any idea where you are? You've wandered pretty far from your garden, kittypet."

Lillie flinched in surprise at the sound of the other cat. She hadn't heard or smelled her, much less seen her coming. She briefly searched for the source and quickly found herself staring up into the branches of a tree. Even those lower branches were pretty high up, and unlike her little tower at home, there was no obvious way to simply calm down. Not immediately answering the first question, she looked up in concern at the stranger. "You're really high up! Are you okay? Are you stuck?"Lillie recalled watching the moving screen in her home, at one point seeing a clip of a cat stuck in a tree, only to be brought down by a twoleg in red.

Pheasantheart reeled slightly from the question, surprised at the kittypet's almost concerned attitude. Usually twoleg pets ran scared at a hint of aggression from Clan cats, but this one seemed different. "I - what? I'm not stuck, I've been climbing tees since I was a kitten," she scoffed, almost offended that anyone would think she wasn't anything but completely at ease up in the branches. "This is NightClan territory, and if you came this far, it means you crossed our scent borders. If you weren't obviously about to have kits I'd have clawed your ears by now." It was a bit of a bluff, considering Pheasantheart's typically friendly and non-violent nature, but sometimes a little threatening did just the trick.

Lillie's ears turned downward at the threat, but she still stood her ground, especially upon hearing the mention of 'NightClan'. If anything, it was enough to have the kittypet sigh in relief. "So you are real! My mother always told me there were cats in the forest, and-" She stopped herself before she went on rambling. She missed her mother, and it'd do her no good to cling onto the past like that. She had to be strong for these kits. Her tone changed into one of someone trying to sound confident, but still came off rather weak "My name is Lillie, and I came in search of your group, I need help" Her tail curled around one of her legs as she spoke, continuing with her explanation before the wild cat could answer "You see, my littermates were taken away when I was little, and I never saw them again! Mother says that's just normal of the twolegs, but I don't want that of my kits, I can't let them be taken away from me!" Her blue eyes were wide in fear at the thought.

Made a warrior character! ))
Name: Rainwatcher Gender: Female Rank: Warrior Description: Rainwatcher is a light grey she-cat with short fur and blue eyes. Her body is slim and her legs are long, allowing her to be swift and agile. Rainwatcher is kind and patient, acting as a mother to most of her clan-mates. She usually doesn't get aggressive, but if she or the cats she cares for are threatened, she won't hesitate to fight with all of her strength. She finds joy in the smallest moments of life, and tries to keep a positive view on things. Family: N/A Other: N/A Plots: N/A

let me know if these are ok! - Name: Bramblefur Gender: Male Rank: Warrior Description: A large, dark tabby tom with a wild pelt and sharp yellow eyes, Bramblefur is quite the intimating tom. His bulky appearance suits him well, since his personality is also quite daunting. He isn't the kindest cat around, with a ready tongue and quick hostility. Obviously, Bramblefur isn't very friendly with other cats and prefers to be alone. Even with his unnerving disposition, this tom isn't arrogant or boastful. Actually, he has a deep respect for those higher in power and is one of the most respectable cats you will ever meet, despite his antagonistic ways. Bramblefur is quite wise and intelligent and easily reads other cats. Bramblefur grew up without knowing his father and without siblings. He was an only child and was incredibly close with his mother. He did everything to make her proud and she was his biggest role model. He was always grateful for what she did for him. Nightbird, his mother, suddenly became distant a few moons after Bramblefur was apprenticed. She didn't speak or do much, just laid around with a faraway look him her eyes. She also would start disappearing for a couple of days and return only during the nighttime. Her son was growing very concerned by her behavior and would try speaking with her, but she still wouldn't say a word. The medicine cat didn't know what to do with her. One fateful day, Nightbird left to never return. Bramblefur was grief stricken and his entire personality switched. He didn't search for her much since he assumed she had passed away. Bramblefur doesn't really believe in StarClan but hopes for the possibility to see his mother one more time. Family: Nightbird was his mother. Plots: none yet
Name: Cinderrose Gender: Female Rank: Warrior Description: Cinderose is a spindly dilute calico with grey-blue eyes. She has a willowy appearance, making her narrow face and large ears stand out. She is quite the attractive cat, but beauty can only run so far. This molly can be quite narcissistic, unfortunately. She is very prissy in her ways and isn't very pleased when things don't go her way. This overwhelming personality trait drives others away from her, which is honestly one of her insecurities. She isn't oblivious to her stuck-up attitude and sometimes wishes for a change. If you're close to her she is quite the loyal cat; this can show in her hard work for her clan. Cinderrose may be bratty, but she isn't all that bad. Growing up outside of the forest made Cinderrose's arrival in the clan a little rough on her. The new customs were quite daunting and strange to her. Cinderrose was the daughter of kittypet who was mainly used for breeding. She never knew her father. The litter's mother wasn't very loving of her kits (mainly because she knew they would get taken away anyways) and that always kind of stuck with the former kittypet. She did end up becoming adopted by a large family who didn't treat her very well. Cinderrose ran away after a few weeks of suffering in the Twoleg home and took refuge in the forest. She was still young when she joined NightClan's ranks, joining as a six moon old apprentice. Maybe the reason why Cinderrose is so selfish is because she never learned how to love another. Family: unknown Plots: none yet
Name: Ebonypaw Gender: Male Rank: Apprentice Description: Ebonypaw lives up to his name quite well, being a jet-black tom with a feathery pelt. His frame is smaller than it looks (thanks to his pelt), however, and his limbs are quite long for his age. The one thing he does lack is a tail, which he was born without. An extra toe on his hind paws make up for the missing tail, so it seems. His eyes are a soft shade of green with hints of gold flecked in them. This apprentice is as illusive as he looks - quite the opposite of his littermate. He is the silent type and doesn't enjoy socializing very much, unless it is with his sister or a close friend. Ebonypaw would much rather do his own thing than be bossed around by others, but doesn't complain much since that's just how things were. He does, however, have a playful side and enjoys play-fighting with his sibling. Family: He is Coalpaw's brother. Plots: none yet
Name: Coalpaw Gender: Female Rank: Apprentice Description: Coalpaw and her brother are practically carbon copies of each other, both having pitch black fur that is on the fluffy side. She has the same lengthy body as he does, except she was actually born with a tail. Her hind paws also have an extra toe, which she doesn't hesitate to brag about. Her eyes are the reverse of her sibling's; mostly yellow with hints of green in them. If Ebonypaw was a pristine lake, Coalpaw was a blazing fire. Vivacious and loud, Coalpaw seems to have a limitless amount of energy. She could go without sleep for a few days and still be bouncing off the walls. She is also quite the mischievous feline and gets in trouble quite frequently. This apprentice is quite the handful, but she's very endearing and loves to help. Family: She is Ebonypaw's sister. Other: She doesn't know it yet, but Coalpaw is a lesbian. Plots: Eventually, Coalpaw will get very sick and the medicine cat isn't sure what's wrong with her (if that's alright with you, ofc).

Any normal occasion and those words probably would have scared Lillie away. But the weight at her stomach kept her brave. "Your clan is my only hope. I won't go back home and let these kits be taken from me" her voice was much firmer this time, her resolve hardening just a little bit more. "Please, whatever it takes, I'm willing to do it for them"

(𝓹𝓪𝓻𝓽𝓵𝔂 𝓬𝓵𝓸𝓾𝓭𝔂 your forms look good! I'll add them and Rainwatcher to the front page soon now that I'm finished with my classes for the day.)
Pheasantheart found herself hesitating at this. It was true that her Clan had no queens at the moment, and it wasn't like they were hurting for food with the large territory they could hunt on. Plus, she couldn't deny the kittypet's concerns herself. She couldn't imagine what it would be like to birth kits only to have them taken from you within a few weeks. She sighed softly, relaxing her hostile stance. It didn't really suit her to threaten others, anyway. "I can't promise you anything... but I can take you to talk to my Clan's leader," she conceded, just praying to StarClan that neither he nor her mother would be too angry with her for beinging a kittypet back to camp. Robinfall was a very protective deputy, and not so fond of outsiders despite Frozenstar's more tolerant demeanor. "My name is Pheasantheart, by the way. Lillie, was it?" Though she still didn't sound entirely friendly toward the other she-cat, she had dropped her suspicious voice and her ears were no longer pulled back.

Okay, thank you. )) Tinypaw stepped out from the apprentices den, his paw steps small as his short legs carried him across the ground. He seemed to be tired from his recent nap, his eyes narrowed as they adjusted to the darkness that had fallen onto the forest. Turtlepaw stretched beside the fresh-kill pile, her legs sore from a hard day's training. She groaned softly as she settled down to groom her ruffled fur, still shedding some of its kitten softness. She'd barely graduated from the nursery, and without a mother left to make sure she took care of herself, she'd taken up the responsibility of making sure she was clean and well-groomed. She looked up as Tinypaw emerged from the den, offering him a smile and a friendly wave of her tail.

(oof! Finally home from work!)
Lillie's face brightened in relief at those words. She came up further to walk alongside Pheasantheart, trusting the calmer stance she now had. "Yes, it's Lillie" she confirmed, before noting on the other she-cat's name "Pheasantheart...I've never heard a name like that before, it sounds pretty!" Were those the kinds of names wild cats had? "The twolegs gave me and my siblings names, they named my mother too" it was mostly just a start of conversation, but it unraveled a thread of a new revelation for Lillie. "My kits...I can name my kits!"

Tinypaw spotted the other apprentice greet him with the wave of her tail. Slightly dipping his head due to feeling a bit nervous, he cautiously approached the fresh-kill pile, smiling back at Turtlepaw to be polite. "Good morning.." He paused for a moment, then corrected himself, "I mean, night."

"Hello, Briarclaw." Hollyflower drew her vivid green eyes to Briarclaw. "How are you?" She dipped her head politely, and swished her tail around. "I just came back from solo hunting, and I was looking for Mistlepaw." She said, as if Briarclaw had asked. "I hope everything is well out in the forest. I went out just a little while ago, and I found the prey plenty." Hollyflower shifted her paws and glanced up at Silverpelt. It was glowing and bright in the ebony of night draped behind it. The stars blinked and twinkled, silent and cold. They seemed to glare down like harsh eyes at her. She shivered a little and looked back at Briarclaw.

(My only fear with those four important positions is that people will claim them and then leave quickly after, which can make rewriting the roleplay canon hard and is just kind of annoying in general. I'd prefer to either give the role to someone I'm familiar with or someone who is consistently active in the roleplay. If you have a character you'd like to make who will eventually become medicine cat apprentice (ie a queen with a kit, a warrior apprentice turned medicine apprentice, or an outsider who joins as medicine cat apprentice) then I think it would be okay to reserve the position for you so that by the time it comes around you'e already acquainted with it.)
Pheasantheart wrinkled her nose at the revelation; what kind of mother didn't even get to name her own kits. "Yes, it's a traditional Clan name," she replied, rather proud of the name her mother and Frozenstar had managed to create. "I suppose I might as well explain, since you're planning on staying." There was no guarantee Frozenstar would say yes, but, well, it would save some trouble for whoever had to teach her later on. "When I was born, my mother named me Pheasantkit, and my littermates were called Cliffkit and Shadekit. Frozenstar was the one who changed my name to Pheasantheart, when I finished my training and became a warrior. I'll have this name until I die and go to join StarClan."
Turtlepaw tilted her head with a slight smile. "Did you just wake up from a nap or something? It's been dark for a while," she teased in a friendly manner, tail curling in amusement. "Robinfall must have really worn you out with her training today." She knew Robinfall was a rather strict mentor, and with her also being deputy, she was sure to want to put on a good front when it came to training an apprentice.
Robinfall nodded at this, pleased to hear that the hunting was good. The warm weather was only now starting to fade, greenleaf giving way to leaf-fall as the leaves began to change, so the hunting would gradually get more and more difficult as time went along. Although, since FlashClan's demise many moons ago, their hunting grounds had doubled. "I haven't seen Mistlepaw yet, she may be resting," the deputy suggested, glancing over toward the apprentices' den. She didn't quite know how to approach Mistlepaw, her biting nature off-putting and antagonistic. Robinfall wasn't one to take a bad attitude lightly, so she kept her eye out to make sure the apprentices didn't get too full of themselves.

Lillie hung onto each word that Pheasantheart said, finding herself with even more questions by the second. "Pheasantkit..." she murmured, thinking about her own kits. What would she name them? She hadn't really thought about such things before. She'd have to spend some time thinking on it later. "A warrior? And what's StarClan, is it another group nearby?" (lol I already have the kit names planned out, and a whole thing with how she winds up choosing the names)

As if on cue, Mistlepaw came out of the apprentice den with a small yawn. She had been feeling fairly pleased with herself so far, having managed to bully Houndpaw's much softer nest out from under him. Really, if he wanted it so bad, he should have put up a fight for it. Seeing her mentor by the fresh-kill pile, she approached the older cat, taking on a cheery tone "Hi Hollyflower! What are we doing today?"

(Aww, cute!)
Pheasantheart mentally cursed herself for using such terminology, because something like this could easily collapse into an endless loop of needing to explain new concepts to Lillie just to maintain a conversation. "Well, StarClan is where our ancestors go when they die," she replied, "at least, my Clan's ancestors..." FlashClan's ancestors were there too, at one point, but they disappeared along with the remnants of their old sister Clan. "We believe that they still speak to us, through our leaders and our... healers." She strategically avoided using the words "medicine cat" for now, attempting a more generic term so that her words were more easily understood. "Sometimes, if we're lucky, they appear to us in our dreams, though that doesn't happen very often."

I totally understand that! I have I've been developing who isn't blind but has poor eyesight. But since she can still see, she doesn't know it isn't normal, or understand why it's an issue. If you're into the idea, maybe we can start her as an apprentice and then once I've proven activity, she can be told that she cant be warrior since she can't see well? It looked as if Lillie's eyes couldn't grow any wider. It all sounded so fantastically unreal, but she wanted to make this her new life, and that would mean learning more. She noted the pause before the word healers and thought about it. The word wasn't unfamiliar to her, at least healing wasn't. "Oh! Is a healer like a vet? I went to one a couple times as a kit, and a few more times once the twolegs knew I was pregnant" It had also been the only other time she had left her home before now, although she had been in a little cage every time they took her.
