Raven hoped that she wouldn't be noticed by the man before her as a demon. And since she wasn't a manipulation demon it took a lot of effort to keep her eyes looking human. She so desperately didn't want to die today. Not to say that she couldn't take him in a fight. Probably... "Well, I'm here so," She shrugged and made a face as if to say What are you gonna do?. "Besides, my friend and I are kind of experts at this kind of stuff. We might see something that you'd miss," Folding her sunglasses and shoving them into her jacket pocket, Raven approached the body not looking directly at the human next to her. "Who demands a whole morgue to themselves anyway?" Raven hissed under her breath with a roll of her eyes.

(I'm fine with the suggestion above :3 The flight was terrible but at least I'm home! )
"Very well, though I expect someone will be there to assist us?" Felk replied, flashing the officer a short smile as she pocketed the passes. "After all, you wouldn't want us to miss anything important."
With that, she headed back toward the morgue, turning the door to let herself in. She was admittedly a little surprised to find her demon 'assistant' already here, and with someone else no less. "I was wondering if you'd figured anything out. But as promised, my dear, your permit." She said to her, smiling again as she handed her one of the passes she'd been given. "We're only permitted to observe, so I'm guessing this young man is here to assist us?"
Her eyes rested on the man in the morgue, almost narrowing as she looked him over. She wasn't certain if he was actually here to help them or not, but either way, she was going to get his help. They weren't able to touch the body, and they technically needed to scour it for any sign that a vampire was involved.
(I'm glad you made it safely! Sorry your fight was bad those are the worst)
Raven pouted when Felk told her the news that they couldn't touch the body. She was going to say that as long as they didn't tell anyone but there was the elephant in the room. Or the hunter. Gratefully, she took the pass and pocketed it next to her sunglasses. "No," she started jabbing a finger towards this new person. "He says he reserved this room so that he could be alone," she explained rolling her eyes. Despite the warning not to touch the body, Raven leaned over it inspecting for anything that might make this one a demon.
The body was deathly pale. Probably because they were dead. Male about 5'9", curly ginger hair, high cheekbones, and small freckles dotting his cheeks. He had been a handsome man. Now he was just a corpse on a slab with stitches in his chest and a 'John Doe' tag on his foot.

In his pocket, Ronan's demon detector began to quietly buzz, but he didn't want to check it with the intruder there. Clenching his jaw, he was about to protest, but he figured he might want to know more about who she was, if she had anything to do with this murder, and also explore the possibility that she might be the demon he was looking for. Turning back to the table that the body was resting on, he began examining it once more, choosing to ignore her comment, though it rubbed him the wrong way.
When another woman entered the room, Ronan's hands went up in the air in frustration. "So much for some privacy," He growled, staring daggers at the newest incomer when she suggested that he was supposed to help them. Figuring that he could care less about inconviencing them, he began examining the body, enjoying the fact that he could touch it, and that they couldn't. Carefully, he began rolling the man over, and ran his fingers down the corpse's back, right in between the shoulder blades. Feeling two parallel ridges underneath the skin, his suspicions were confirmed. This corpse was an angel.

Felk couldn't keep the corners of her mouth from turning downward in disapproval that the man examining the body went back to work without giving a proper introduction, or requesting one. She didn't bother to extend the courtesy since he clearly couldn't be bothered.
Instead, she turned her attention to the body on the examination table. Already, she could see signs that hinted the victim wasn't a vampire, so she just quietly took her spot to the left of the examiner, watching him work. She looked over the body in silence, scrutinizing the marks and injuries. Of course, if the examiner would actually speak about what he was finding, that might be helpful to all three of them.
After a few moments, she spoke. "Has anything been found in the injuries? Traces of metal to suggest a weapon, or keratin to say claws or nails?"
(Yeah totally! I left it vague purposely for whatever you guys wanna do)
Raven was so busy looking over the man's right shoulder she forgot to keep her minor manipulation spell going causing her eyes to revert back to demonic red. This stranger was no one she knew and it was no demon. But that didn't eliminate a demon from being the culprit of the murder. Looking up at the vampire, Raven nodded and went to the medical chart. "Several heavy lacerations on the abdomen and neck where pieces of unidentified metal have been found. Severe burn marks up the right side of the body. But no where else," Raven responded then handed the chart to the vampire. "No other victims have been burned that I know of..." she muttered to herself but it was loud enough for everyone else to hear. She felt her heartbeat quicken as she grew more and more nervous. Was the murderer a demon like everyone said? What demon would kill their own kind let alone an Angel?

Letting the body go back to its original position, Ronan listened to the words of the two women, checking off each thing they noted as his gaze swept the body. Though he hated to admit it, clearly they knew what they were talking about. At the mention of the burn marks, however, Ronan tensed, his frown deepening. All the signs pointed to a fire demon being there murder of the now deceased angel. Which meant he was on the right track. Noting a faint hint black under a few of the angel’s nails, Ronan gently lifted his hand and pulled out a pocket knife and a vial from his pocket. Scraping out the substance from under the fingernails, he put it in the vial then tucked it back into his pocket. It appeared that the victim had tried to fight back when attacked, and had drawn blood from his attacker. Black blood. Which, once again, pointed to a demon.
Raven set a breath get stuck in her throat as the man pulled out a knife and dug the blood from underneath the nails of the corpse. So it was a demon. That's a problem. That's something she'd have to take care of as soon as possible. But there was still so much they didn't know. Or at least the information the Bounty Hunter wasn't telling them. Growing impatient and wanting to know what species it was as well as to get a better look at the burns, she turned the body on it's stomach. It was dumb and impulsive but she needed to know. Besides, she had made no promise to not touch the body.... verbally. What she didn't know was that pressing on the shoulder blades in a certain way caused the wings to unfurl. Once beautiful pearl white wings, now charred black. The smell of burning feathers filled the air as the wings went limp around the morgue. Full on panic was the look on Raven's face now. "No no no no... that's bad."

Felk had been about to speak when she saw what the man had retrieved from under the body's nails. A vampire hadn't been involved in any of this, as far as she could tell, but she was still curious why a demon would lash out at anything other than a human at this point. Then the young woman had reached for the body.
She only got out a brief "Wait!"before the corpse's wings opened and she moved back to barely avoid getting hit with them. The mildly-annoyed, distant look she usually wore fell from her face and was replaced with something a bit closer to concern. It was indeed bad, though probably not for the same reason the other woman was panicking about. She produced a cloth from her pocket and held it over her own nose and mouth as she looked over the damaged wings. The smell was unpleasant, and there was still a few ashen remains crumbling off of the wings.

Ronan had turned around to grab a tool out of his bag he had sitting on a table behind them, when he heard a sudden whoosh. Whipping around, his eyes widened as the angel's wings shot out of his back. "What the actual hell!" He yelled. He had been careful not to trigger the wings while examining the angel, for there was no way to retract them once the angel was dead. "Great, well now I'm going to get blamed for your insolence." He hissed, pushing them away from the table. "This is why I requested the room to myself, so idiots like you don' mess everything up. "Who the hell even are you two? You're dressed like you've been asleep for a thousand years and when you woke up, no one taught you what to wear, and you are clearly a fire demon, and shouldn't even be allowed within the vicinity of this place, let alone this planet" He hissed, turning on the demon, whose red eyes were giving her away.
(I really just snorted as I thought about stealing the body and Ronan's reaction to that suggestion)
Damn it. Things were falling apart way too quickly. First the murder, then coming face to face with a bounty hunter, now one of her own had killed an angel. This... was unexpected. But, Raven was trying to stay calm. The key word being trying. "Hey, I'm half human I deserve to be here just as much as you do!" she shot back. Once the words left her mouth she looked shocked. She wasn't supposed to reveal that. Shaking out her hands she clenched and unclenched them repeatedly, trying to get her nerves to settle. "Ok ok, you caught me. Look I'm just here to figure out what's going on. My people are dying too," she offered, softening her voice. "Can you just answer our question?"

(hahaha I think he would have an aneurysm)
Ronan glared back at her, his hatred for her kind clear on his face as he listened to her speak. "I'm not sure that's enough of a qualification..." he growled, before glancing at her fists, considering for a moment that she might try and use her powers on him if provoked. When she asked that he answer their question, he narrowed his eyes. "What question? Why should I listen to anything you say? I should arrest you. I have grounds to." He threatened, clenching his jaw.

Name ~ Kai Species ~ Vampire Age ~ 21 Gender ~ Male Personality ~ Kai is usually a rather energetic creature- he isn't bubbly by any means, but he seems to be constantly in motion, whether it be twirling something in his fingertips or pacing back and forth. He can be sarcastic and is actually quite the pessimist- at one point of his life he was a fairly friendly guy, but after the death of his twin and him turning, he's become significantly less so. He's loyal to his best friend, though, and would honestly do anything for her. Description ~ Kai is rather slight with dark tanned skin and brown hair that is quite soft to the touch. He does his best to hide his status as a vampire, hiding his fangs the best he can and trying to stay out in the sun enough to give his appearance something a little less dead-looking. He has dark brown eyes and scars from where he was bitten on both his neck on on the side of his torso. Relationships ~ Best friends with Raven, other relationships are open. Other ~ N/A for now, I'll probs come back and change this though Desired Role/ (If not a Role character) Title that you want for your character~ The best friend SN Sweetclover1 Picture- coming soon. I need to find one actually.
Raven held her hands out in front of her. "You hate my kind. Cool. I get it. We were jerks in the past. But I don't think you realize we're on the same side here. We," she pointed to herself and the vampire while also exaggerating her speech as if talking to a child "am here to help you," she explained pointing towards him. Then she smiled at him. But, she knew she had no charm that would work on him. He was pretty much set in his views. But she still tried to win him over. "Besides, who knows a demon better than a demon? Since that is who we're looking for now."

The woman's exaggerated speech sent Ronan's anger into overdrive. "Well unfortunately, I. Don't. Need. your help," He hissed, mimicking her tone. Turning away to begin packing his bag. "Besides, I know all I need to. And I'm not going to stick around for whatever the hell happens when they see this," he added, turning back and gesturing at the angel whose charred feathers now littered the floor. Shoving the strap of his bag over his shoulder, he began walking towards the back door. Though he would have loved to take out another demon, he didn't have time to waste on the half demon he had just encountered.

There was something about walking alone in the city that Kai found comforting. Perhaps it was because people were too engrossed in their own lives to truly look at him too long, assume that he was human like the rest of the population, or that the chaos was incredibly familiar to him. For Kai, it was like going home, something he hadn't been able to do since the incident. So wandering these streets were the closest he could come to actually going home, even if he didn't miss the people associated wth it much, simply the familiarity of the tiny apartments walls.
He usually tried not to think of such things- telling himself that he just needed to move on, that he had Raven now and thats all he actually needed- and like other times it actually worked. Now Kai was wandering down the streets, pausing at the sight of a store with some old books, one wthii a soft grey cover catching his eye. He didn't know what it was just yet- but he knew he wanted it. The young man slipped into the book store, curious about what it was.
Raven scowled and crossed her arms over her chest. She ground her teeth as she watched him pack up his stuff and start to walk out. "Fine," she growled annoyed that he was acting like this. She knew humans didn't like demons but this just felt... personal. "Go do whatever you want! You're gonna wish you had our help,' she called after him until the squeaky door screech open and slammed closed again. She huffed a breath before turning to the vampire with her. "We should probably go too. It doesn't look good for us to be around the body alone," she suggested sheepishly once she realized they were in danger of being in trouble.
