♢ Welcome to the 100th hunger games ♢
>> 4th ♢ quarter quell <<
* disclaimer, this is as if the revolution in the books had never happened...*
It's the 100th year of the Hunger Games. The one those in the Capitol have been eagerly awaiting this momentous occasion. This year's twist?
Each tribute is randomly paired with a contestant from another district. If your partner dies, you get killed off by the game makers. The final two must face one another, but if they are partners, they may both win.
May the odds be ever in your favor.

♢ the Rules ♢
>> follow ♢ them <<
Follow all forum rules
The dice is king. Whatever it says goes.
You can pick up to 3 skills for your character
Skills must be reasonable and realistic (no super powers)
If you chose to battle someone, it must be brought to my attention so I can roll the dice to see who wins and who loses, if someone is killed or just injured. I will outline the outcomes of the dice later in the rules
While there is no god-modding, this is an RP of chance, so your character may have more strengths or more weaknesses than others
Keep all characters between 12 and 18
You cannot have 2 characters from the same district
Romances and alliances are encouraged. But so is backstabbing and betrayal. Just keep in mind, actions matter, and alliances can be broken (I'm going to keep track of alliances, so if you plan on breaking one, DM me and I'll roll the dice and let you know the outcome once you have actually posted the ~betrayal~)
Have fun and don't take anything personally!
Try to keep everything PG 13, including the gore
If your character dies, you are free to make a new one until we reach the maximum number of contestants
What do the outcomes of the dice roll mean?
When I am rolling for your strengths, two dice will be rolled until I get a score between 6-12. This will be your character's strength maximum. Every Sunday at 12 AM, everyone's strengths will return to their original state.
When you are engaged in a fight, the person with the highest roll (1 dice) wins. Whatever the difference is between the winner and the loser's roll will be deducted from the loser's strengths. If anyone reaches 0, then they die. The only way you can run away from a fight is if you roll a 4. If someone rolls a 4, they must decide if they want to keep fighting, or run away. I will PM the person who rolls a 4 before releasing their opponents' roll, so they must decide to either play their 4 or use it to escape before knowing the outcome of that round.
This may be confusing, so let me do an example:
Contestant A has a strength of (7/12) and Contestant B has a strength of (11/12). They decide to fight.
Contestant A rolls a 5 Contestant B rolls a 3
Contestant B's strength is deducted 2 points (Now 9/12)
Contestant A rolls a 3 Contestant B rolls a 6
Contestant A's strength is deducted 3 points (Now 4/12)
Contestant A rolls a 4. I PM them to let them know their character can escape, and they decide to run away. I tell both contestants the outcome and we move on with the RP.

♢ the arena ♢
>> an ever changing maze <<
This year's arena is a maze, made up of metal walls that change each night. The contestants will begin in the center of the maze, around the Cornocopia.
Within the maze, there are an assortment of traps and treasures. Some dead ends live up to their name, and anyone who enters them ends up dead. While others have supplies and weapons that could help the tribute who finds them. There are also rooms within the maze, but these should be entered with caution. For instance, two of the rooms have massive feasts, featuring delicious, decadent food. But only one of the rooms has food that isn't poisoned. Another room traps anyone who wanders in and begins to close in on them, until they have been crushed.
Proceed with caution, tributes, for you never know who or what is around the corner.

(Nah you're all good! I'm probably going to wait to assign partners until there's enough for everyone to have 2 different people's characters (if that makes sense). But we can always start RPing them at the training facility)
