"LET US SAVE OURSELVES!" CITY CONGRESSMAN SPEAKS ON THE SUPERHERO REPRESSION ACT
Benjamin Dorough
April has been a tough month on the streets and in Metroville's Town Hall, as council members and citizens alike have taken to the longstanding dispute about the use and danger of the Supers. Once held as the pinnacle of virtue and compassion, many citizens of Metroville have become disenfranchised with our powerful protectors. City funds are rapidly being emptied as Supers are practically demolishing the city in their quest for justice, and the townspeople are having to foot the bill.
"We can't stand for this any longer! Why should our constituents have to pay? They lose their homes, they become injured, and they have to pay for repairs simply because some supernatural glory hogs can't stay out of the spotlight!" A member of the City Council, Nathan Coulter, insists. "They should be subject to the same laws that the normal population is, and if they were, they'd be tried for criminal acts by now!" Many agree with Councilman Coulter, and demand that the Supers either be silenced, or made to pay for their transgressions.
Others aren't so sure. "Buildings - a lot of them - may be destroyed, but is that so much to ask for our peace of mind? These Supers do a thankless job in protecting this city from those who would do it harm, and forcing them into hiding is crossing a line!" Supers Rights Activist Mariam Theriault pleads for the public to change their opinions on the legal status of Superheroes.
Despite this dissent, lawmakers in Metroville have made it official. Late last night, the council decided to enact the Superhero Repression Act, which forbids vigilantism from those formerly known as Supers. Thousands of suits have been paid out, and the superheroes are absolved of their crimes as long as they stay in hiding, never again to save the day.
The day has come. It's finally happened. Superheroes have been deemed illegal by the public, and suddenly, you may have found yourself without a job. As a Super, you had dedicated your life to upholding peace and protecting the people, but the people have decided that you're a greater danger than you are a benefit.
Or...perhaps you're not a Super? Maybe you're glad they've seen their final days. Whether you're a concerned citizen, or someone with more...nefarious purposes, you're suddenly not burdened with the fear that one day you're going to get hurt in the crossfire.
But will this last?

LOOKING CLOSELY...
The rules hide a code that is required to gain access to our Discord server and the roleplay in general. Pay close attention to the rules, and post the password in the appropriate section of your application.
HOW WILL YOU FARE?
With Supers becoming illegal, and crime rising steadily, no one knows what to do. It's up to you, every day citizens, to fend for yourselves now.
COUNCIL GROWS QUIET ABOUT INCREASED CRIME IN METROVILLE
Councilman Nathan Coulter refuses to comment further on the ban on supers and the "purely coincidental" rise in crime.
"THIS IS THE HIGHEST CRIME RATE IN THE CITY'S HISTORY!" CLAIM LOCAL ACTIVIST GROUPS
Cathy Farrell
It has now been two weeks since Supers have been outlawed, and the rise in crime has skyrocketed. The police have found their hands full, now that criminals believe they can do as they please. We need more brave men and women on the force, protecting us. While the local activist group, Metroville Citizens for Supers, or the MCS, claims that we need to return old heroes to patrol, I believe this is the chance to rise up and take action for ourselves.
Metroville Chief of Police, Wayne Patton, holds the same opinion. He assures the public that there is no need to fear, and that once the police adjust, life will be safer than ever. In the meantime, he has asked the Metroville Tribune to dispense this advice:
- Ability - A World Without Heroes is a semi-advanced roleplay. We don't require large, fancy words (nor do we deny them), or novel-length posts, but we would like to ask you to keep from posting one-liners, to make replies easier for the other rpers.
- Activity - Life is more important than computers, and in this case, it's no different. We all have jobs, school, family obligations, and other things to worry about. This is supposed to be a fun writing experience, not something to cause extra stress in your life. So as long as you try, then you're good.
- Maturity Level and Content - This roleplay keeps with the slightly darker and more mature themes of the source material, and as such, will allow content up to a PG-16 rating. That being said, please keep from posting things that are not allowed on the forums. If you have any questions, a quick message to me, the rp mods, or the forum mods will clear things up and no one will get in trouble.
- Lore - A World Without Heroes is an AU based on the story of the Incredibles, had the Parr family never existed. That being said, no characters from the movie exist. As far as the time period goes, it's the late 1940s, so make sure your character fits the setting. Characters are allowed to have one or two powers, most likely, with a few being allowed three. Characters with three powers are incredibly rare, and will be discovered later on in the roleplay. You may only join with a character that has two powers, max.
- Powers - I, as well as my mods, have reserved the right to decide if a power is too powerful for the roleplay. If you have a suitable way to dampen it, you can work with us on that, but to avoid godmodding and powerplaying, some powers may not be allowed. This isn't a personal attack on anyone. It's just keeping the rp fair, I promise.
- Relationships and Plotlines - If you want to have a character connected to others in the roleplay, either through family or history, then just ask. The worst people can say is no, and having connected characters just makes everything so much more fun, in my opinion. As for plotlines, feel free to come up with as many smaller plots and character arcs as you like. Eventually, a main, over-arching plot will surface, but smaller stuff is fair game.
- Dice Rolls and Coin Flips - This roleplay uses dice rolls and coin flips to make replies more organic and random, and outcomes more varied.
- Balance - Please do not make a roster full of one gender, or supers. Try to keep things pretty equal.
- Discord Server - This roleplay has a required Discord server. This is to streamline the main page, and it hosts the bot that has our dice and coin flips. It also makes it 100 time easier to reach me if you need something. The server can be located here.
"WHAT CAN I DO TO HELP?" YOU MAY ASK, AS A RANDOM CITIZEN Louis Pratt
One question haunts the general populace, and your friends at the Metroville Tribune are here to answer it. What should you do, in this time of crisis? Protect your family and friends, and do your best to weather these hard times. Join the MPD to try to help, and pray the lawmakers knew what they were doing when they wrote that law into place.

Bentley "Ben" James Robbins | 17 | Male | N/A | N/A
Ben is a rather scrawny boy that could easily do with a bit more meat to him. His scrawny self makes him look taller than he actually is, though it's not like he's short or anything standing at a solid 5'8". He has a slightly darker complexion, brown hair, and mossy green eyes. While his clothing style isn't all that interesting or out there, it's important to note that, no matter what, he's always wearing some kind of scarf around his neck like it's some kind of comfort item. Leroy Mikhailovich Alvang | 21 | Male | Heat Generation | Zhara
Tall, lanky, and pale are three words that can easily describe this particular male. He's rather tall at 6'2" and honestly seems to be more leg than anything. He has ruffled caramel brown hair and amber eyes. Quite a few scars riddle his body, mostly from him going out and doing something dumb, but the most prominent scar is the one that lays across his nose. Another thing about his nose is that it's crooked, a lasting effect of when he broke it falling off a horse when he was younger. And, yes, he got right back on the horse instead of dealing with a broken nose because he's that kind of person. Celeste Blathnaid Caballus | 26 | Female | Mediumship | Malachite
At 5'8" Celeste is a fairly tall woman. She has pale skin, and instead of freckles dusting her face there are freckles spotting along her hips for some reason. Her hair is long, wavy, and blonde. She also has blue eyes.

Kirk King | 24 | Male | Pyrokinesis | Ignis As the eldest, Kirk has always taken it upon himself to be the strongest. When his powers came in, that just made him train harder. He's not as muscle defined as his cousin, but it's a more natural muscle mass. Boy is thicker than a bowl of oatmeal. Due to his night job, he's gained a lot of muscle in his thighs and booty. Even though he lost some weight in his face which made his jawline is a more defined, he still has chubby cheeks that show off deep dimples. Across his cheeks dash many freckles, which he uses thin facial hair and a little bit of powder to hide while on the job. He doesn't want people to recognize him because he has a face full of moles. His skin isn't as pale as it once was, but still lights up like a fire truck when he's embarrassed. He's grown tanner the more active he becomes. He's still very white, however. Kirk stands at 6'0 even and though Javi has always been taller than him, Kirk still acts like the tallest. The one thing Kirk hates about himself is his bright auburn hair. It's grown darker the older he gets, but everyone still knows he's a ginger. He loves to style it, however, keeping the sides slicked back and his top curls pushed to the side.
While undercover as Ignis, Kirk slicks back all of his hair, not leaving any curl out. He has a thick black mask that covers half his forehead to almost his entire nose. His costume is mostly black, with three thick red lines running down his arms and legs. He didn't put much effort into it, really. He mostly loves his belt, which stores many devices that he's stolen from his cousin, Drew, over the last few years. Cousin of Andrew and Javier, through his father | bruh he’s dumb
Javier "Javi" Diaz | 22 | Male | Super Arrogance | N/A As the only ethnic cousin, Javier looks nothing like his other family members. As the only non-super, he works out almost constantly to build an insane muscle mass that almost looks fake. He has the torso of a triangle and constantly gets mistaken for a bodybuilder. In his face, he is more squarely-set, and even has a wider, more defined nose. His lips are fuller, and his eyebrows are thicker. When Javi smiles, it looks like sunshine through dimples. If he doesn't shave daily, he has more than a shadow and more like a caterpillar under his nose so it makes sure that it's the first thing he does in the morning. He lacks the family freckles and moles, probably because his skin is so different. While his cousins burn in the sun, he tans and grows darker. His skin is a warm brown, and his hair his a dark brown. He keeps it cut short and only uses light product to keep it slicked back completely. Javi stands at 6'2 and loves to rub it in Kirk's face, even though his cousin rarely admits to it. As the middle between his family, he often wears orange to make it clear that he's not to be involved in their weird feud. He is, however, heavily involved and often sides with Drew to make Kirk angry. Cousin of Kirk and Andrew, through his mother | super secret
Andrew "Drew" King | 20 | Male | Super Intelligence | Ego As the youngest, Drew has always had a inferiority complex because he has is also the smallest. Drew has little to no muscle mass, focusing more on his intelligence than his physical appearance. He doesn't need to fight if he makes other things to do that for him. Drew has a more oval-shaped face than his cousin, his jaw more round and his cheeks much thinner. He does have the family dimples, but considering the fact that he's twenty and already has frown lines, they don't appear often. Unlike his cousins, Drew cannot grow facial hair for the life of him and entirely blames his father even though it makes no logical sense. Drew has a few moles coating his jawline and trailing down his neck, but they are practically nonexistent compared to Kirk's. He rarely leaves his house, so his white skin grows paler by the day and he suffers from the same insane blush that his family has passed down. Drew is just 5'10, and once again blames his father even though his mother is 4'11. He thanks his mother for his dark brown hair, however, that's fairly straight and constantly in a messy birds nest. He doesn't use any product but does keep it longer than he should.
When out and about as an evil-doer, Ego wears a bright neon yellow suit that is probably reflective. There are black cut-outs in the fabric, and even a thick black turtleneck to give him more cover. He has black gloves that go just below his elbow, a thick black belt and even black boots that go up to his knees. Ego does have a black coat that looks like he just dyed a lab coat black, that he wears when sneaking about. His mask is think and switches from yellow to black in the middle. His mask helps tame his hair, making it stick up more and makes the rats nest look like it is purposeful. Cousin of Kirk and Javier, through his father | classified
Sandra “Sandy” Smith | 19 | Female | Feline-Based Shapeshifter | Sabor LOOKS n/a | no cares given

Delilah Marie Grimm "Your hopes have become my burden. I will find my own liberation."
"Well, would you look at that, Jonah?" A white-gloved hand tapped sharply at a section of the newspaper, and it's owner regarded her brother with an almost gleefully sardonic expression. "Crime's been up for the past two weeks!" Normally, this wasn't a cause for celebration, but Delilah wasn't actually celebrating. At all. Basking in her smug, petty vindication, yes, but she didn't really count that as celebrating. Just enjoying the fact that she was completely right.
Or as much as she could enjoy being right about being needed after all.
"It's almost like - and don't mark my words, it's just a theory - getting rid of the people actually able to stop crime, marking them as potential criminals, and replacing them with a bunch of bumbling normals that hardly know how to fire their guns might, just might actually have made the problem worse." Releasing the poor paper so that Jonah could read it, Del made a gesture almost like a shrug.
She and her brother had met up to get coffee and catch up, nothing out of the normal. Well, something was out of the normal, it had been for almost a year now, and the Super tried to ignore the gaping space in the conversation, where another brother had been energetically involved merely a year ago. Now wasn't the time.

Jonah E. Grimm "Say what you mean. Stop blaming others for being unable to read your mind."
It was... conflicting to say the least. Knowing that they had been doing a good job and were successful, not just the destructive forces they were recently claimed of being was a relief. It was just more difficult to know this, since crime was up. A point may have been proven wrong, but there was a cost to it. Jonah just hoped the entire thing got fixed before things got worse.Knowing he was out of a job was not fun, and having a way to get back to it would be amazing, however... he was having a difficult time finding something otherwise. He had a habit of zapping things on accident and most jobs didn't appreciate it enough. He was half thinking to simply get a job as a librarian. Quiet, on-conductible books. It wasn't the point here though, as he moved to look at the newspaper tossed towards him. "Well, think, Delly, if it continues at this rate, they'll see we were useful to society and then.... no worries? We won't have to worry that much about them getting in the way again since, obviously, they weren't thinking straight when they thought getting rid of us would decrease the damage of the city, people or buildings- though I almost feel giving people should be more important, the occasional falling building that happens from Supers will be fine in comparison."

Delilah Marie Grimm "Your hopes have become my burden. I will find my own liberation."
"Well, I visited Celeste the other day, and we found out whether or not you could poison a ghost...you know...for science." Celeste had been Del's best friend for the past fifteen years, and the phrase "for science" seemed to follow the pair around like a second shadow. "You cannot. I figured that it would require "touching" but Cele insisted I try anyway." The more you know, Jonah. "I did discover, however, that staplers are not immune." The Grimm girl looked meek for a moment, taking a tiny sip of her coffee before adding, "That was an awkward moment trying to explain to my boss that I must have left it too close to the stove in the company's kitchen." So you can melt steel now, lovely.
The people in the office probably thought she was a brainless moron for bringing a stapler to the lunchroom, but she guessed she could live with that. It was better than the alternative. "How about you, Joanie? How has your week been?"

Jonah E. Grimm "Say what you mean. Stop blaming others for being unable to read your mind."
"Exactly. So, soon enough they'll see and we'll be fine- er. They'll be fine. Able to live their lives like before," Jonah continued, giving a slight nod as to assure it to himself. Yes, soon, they would be fine.Placing the newspaper down again, folding it up slightly before making a move for his coffee. Rich, delicious, and really a relief for him. He was satisfied with a slight silence in drinking coffee for the moment. Despite the Super drama happening in the world, it looked to be a nice day out. Not too many clouds, and the sun wasn't nearly blinding, so it seemed like a nice day.Letting out a hefty sigh, he gave a smile to his sister. "So, anything happening in these past few weeks unrelated to that? Friends, animals, weird, random encounters or experiences?"

Jonah E. Grimm "Say what you mean. Stop blaming others for being unable to read your mind."
Jonah chuckled at the initial situation, though an interesting concept it was. It would be like.... killing a ghost twice, and given a ghost was already dead, seeing something die twice would have been extremely interesting if apparently possible. It was at the latter part that had his joyful smile turn to more concern. "But, it wasn't as though they saw or didn't believe that, right?" It would lead to getting fired, most likely assuming her boss was one of the people against Supers. He hoped not, and by the way she was talking, he assumed not. Really, Jonah just wanted to make sure as losing a job and being deemed a Super in their 'civilian mode' was likely hell at this point of time. It was why he didn't quiet respond to the question about him. Not only was there not much to tell, but he was more concerned about that.

Lark V. O'Connor "Maybe ever’body in the whole damn world is scared of each other."
The likelihood of a bad day was... not possible. Sure, she managed to spill coffee over the dress she had gotten yesterday, and then Nova had managed to sneak out the front door with her. She worried for the black cat as she normally stuck to the indoors. She hoped she was simply hanging with the raccoon that visited every so often. Yet, she still managed to find that getting to her destination was difficult as any taxis to pull over weren't pulling over, and when one finally did, the man in the front driving insinuated some... less than proper things.Much to say, when he dropped her off at her destination, she was very pleased. Until she looked up at the building only to realize it was the wrong one. Having to wait for another absent taxi, she made it up in her mind to simply walk instead. That was an awful choice as the library she wanted to be at was quite the ways away. The wind blew her hat away, and it was disappointing as that was her favourite hat. She continued hatless and a little disappointed in the day, while almost getting into an accident with a small child on a bike, moving too fast to see her, before finally getting to the proper place. For all the luck in the world, she was simply glad to have enough to see that her place was- closed. The gladness had vanished and she was left.... going back to the same place she was dropped off. The troubles on the way over had been equally as stressful. Yet, the question on mind should be how, despite all of this stress simply to get to a library, was not creating a bad day for her was simply the fact as she walked into the library, she was dearly glad to find-"Ah! Of Mice and Men! Thank God, oh thank the Heavens and all above they had this book." It made up for everything she had gone through. Ruined dress, missing cat, disgusting taxi driver, lost hat, and even the accident. Oh, it was worth everything. She loved the book with her life, and she almost felt it was unexplainable to say why. The deeper meanings, the darlingness of it, this was a book that would one day be taught in classes to eager students, she was sure.Tossing herself at a wooden chair in the library, at a little table, she started to re-read the book. Every month, once a week for 2 years, she had come back to always reread the book. It was difficult for her not to given her absolute love. Oh, how her heart broke towards the end, how could it not? But the story was written so beautiful.Reading about Lennie and George already had her heart soaring, enjoying the banter of the two. Ah, but how George cared for Lennie despite all the trouble cost. The little mice- oh it only reminded her of what was to come and her heart was already breaking once more.To be in love with a book, yet never look a man or a woman in the same way was certainly the best thing Lark could ever claim. Her brother may scold her for claiming so, but when a book touched her heart as this one did, it was truly something to give up her life for. Unless of course literal, as she had a life to live, but the thought was what counted truly.Flipping the pages one by one, oh how she regretted the speed at which she read, but it was only to satisfy her need to read once more. It wouldn't stop her from coming again, and again, and again, until she found new books to obsess over with the absolute fever and delight she did for these. The only issue anymore was finding someone to talk to about them. Her brother had no interest in books, only his side 'hobby' as he called it, though she supposed she could force him to read given it was no longer an option for him. It would do no good though, no good at all. He wouldn't truly enjoy the depth to them, and she needed someone with that kind of depth. Simply a friend to talk to about this sort of thing. Breaking you heart into a million pieces wasn't a normal thing to do after all.

Delilah Marie Grimm "Your hopes have become my burden. I will find my own liberation."
The dark-haired woman gave a small wave of her hand, unconcerned. "They didn't see anything, so they probably just think I'm an idiot." It was occasionally the truth, not that Del would ever admit that, but she wouldn't deny the accusation now. "Which, really, might work better for me in the long run, if you think about it. As long as I keep doing my job and only muddling things like that occasionally." Stupid people were harmless, about as normal as normal could get. If she could give off the impression that she was occasionally scatterbrained, but good at her job, then they'd be far less likely to be suspicious of her. "So far, I'm just a scatterbrained secretary with a thing about keeping my hands clean." She could make that stereotype work for her, as long as she kept her temper in check. Which was the real "if" here.

James Regret Coulter
What reason would James Coulter have for being at the library? He could buy just about any book he wanted after all, and yet the man had found himself wandering the familiar aisles of the library, fingers tracing along the spines of the books as he looked at them. The library had always brought a sense of comfort to James, and a good place to find him if you were ever looking for him. He had come here quite frequently over the last three years - perhaps even longer, as he was sure he came here whenever he was home in his youth, even if he couldn’t remember doing so - and over those few years, he had always sought out the comfort that books brought.
Stopping for a moment as he found a particularly old looking book, James pulled it out and opened it up to a random page, lifting it up to his nose to smell it. Was it a little weird to start smelling random books in the library with nothing else in mind? Probably. But there was just something so familiar and calming about the smell of books, especially older books like this one.
Smelling it for a little while longer, James finally put the book back and continued on with his aimless search through the library, finding different, old books and opening them up to smell the insides as well. If anyone saw him doing this, he was sure they’d think of him as weird, but that didn’t really matter to James. Maybe he was a little weird, part of him had always felt like he must’ve been a little different from everyone else, as if something just wasn’t quite right, but honestly, everyone must’ve felt like that too, so it really wasn’t a big deal.
Placing the fourth book he had grabbed to smell back where it belonged, James looked around the library. It was quiet. There weren’t that many people here at the time. A librarian in the corner, an old man looking at the collection of history books, a couple of kids giggling at the kid section, and a lady reading a book in a chair. Very quiet indeed.
James glanced down at his watch.
He had some time before he was needed anywhere else, maybe he should grab a book to read as well. But what book? Did he go with a classic, like he had always enjoyed? Or perhaps something newer, something like...The Science of Supers, by Horst - dreadful name - Shmirtz. Well, that was new, and rather interesting, James couldn’t help but feel drawn to the book.
Grabbing the book from the shelf, James looked it over. It had been a little over two weeks since the supers had been made illegal, this book must’ve been published before the new law passed. It was interesting at least, after all, there seemed to be no outward connection for powers, supers, or what dictated who became a super.
James wasn’t one, nor did he want to be one. They were illegal now for a reason. Supers caused destruction and chaos wherever they went, they didn’t care about anyone’s lives, all they cared about was looking good in the eyes of the public and showing off their fancy costumes. It had only a matter of time before the law went through, and it was a good thing that it did too, they didn’t need supers running around, acting like gods among men, and choosing who got to live and who didn’t.
It wasn’t right.
Unaware of his surroundings, James hadn’t realized he had walked off with the book in hand while he had been thinking. The Coulter son looked up, glancing around for a minute before shrugging and plopping down in the closest empty seat, legs crossed as he opened the book up.
Boring introduction, blah, blah, blah, ah there we go, the first chapter.
As soon as James began to read, he quickly became increasingly aware that the girl from earlier was sitting across from him. It didn’t really mean anything, since they could both simply enjoy their books in peace, and yet James couldn’t just sit there and do nothing when there was company sitting right across from him, so instead he looked up and glanced at the book in her hands. ”Of Mice and Men,” he spoke out loud, nodding his head down at the book. ”Good choice, that’s a good book,” James continued as he gave a crooked smile over to the girl sitting across from him, pushing his glasses back up the bridge of his nose with his free hand.

Jonah E. Grimm "Say what you mean. Stop blaming others for being unable to read your mind."
He supposed there was some relief in that. He didn't like how his sister had to act unintelligent in order to get away with it, it simply wasn't fitting or true of her. This entire situation was just making things worse in small ways.Quietly, he responded. "Oh, okay, I'm glad to hear that then. Well, that they don't know what happened, at least. The whole, 'scatterbrained idiot' guise you're putting on just... worries me once people actually see that you are so much more intelligent than that... or at least, I don't think it's fair that you have to act like that to get away with something difficult to control."

Lark V. O'Connor "Maybe ever’body in the whole damn world is scared of each other.."
Looking up from her book, an oddly warm smile on her face. Simply assuming the man was addressing her, which was far easier given that not many others were reading Of Mice and Men at this time. "Isn't it?" She said in response, a twinkle in her eyes.Folding her book, finger in place to keep it open on the page she had landed on. "Have you read it before?" she asked, tilting her head. Oh, how much she was hoping this stranger said yes to that. It was highly and dearly important to her if she did- though she almost feared for him. Perhaps she would if she weren't herself, as she believed she could talk for days and days about this book and its wonders.

Delilah Marie Grimm "Your hopes have become my burden. I will find my own liberation."
Del gave a small shrug to her brother's answer. "I don't like it either, Joanie, but it's just how things are going to have to go if I want to keep a stable job." She empathized, not exactly a fan of the idea, either. "I'm not too sure of the law, but I'm pretty sure going to my boss and telling him who I am won't pull me any leniency with the whole "stuff gets melted" thing." In fact, if she told her boss she was Foxglove, then she'd probably be fired. He was a nasty, Supers hating little man. Every second she was in the room with him, she wanted to slap him, gloves off.
Or...okay, not gloves off. She was a hero. She was still supposed to protect these people.
Even slimy, Super-hating piles of garbage with a superiority complex and a need for a slap.
The retired Super gave a huff, then, before turning to a different topic. "You never did tell me how your week went though."

Jonah E. Grimm "Say what you mean. Stop blaming others for being unable to read your mind."
He couldn't deny the truth of that. There was simply nothing to go off of there.Plus, the change of conversation was likely a good thing. "Well, I've applied for a couple of jobs, just hope that none of them choose to question my timing." Having someone desperate to get a job just after the Supers were deemed illegal didn't seem all that intelligent. He hadn't been very smart beforehand to attempt to keep a job. He never saw the need to, given he liked to say he did very well at his job.He hardly harmed citizens - even if some walked away from watching a fight with static in their hair- and buildings had hardly been touched other than the occasional dark spot. Perhaps cars, metal poles, and anything of the like could have been saved a little easier, but all in all, he did well. Sure, he'd rather if his powers didn't cause that, but it wasn't as though he could do much otherwise with simply mind reading. He couldn't manipulate thoughts or go into the mind, just listen to what another was saying secretly. Hidden from the rest of the world. And he didn't like that."Aside from that, I've been thinking... you know how you have Finn and Bonnie? Well, I was thinking to myself recently if I should attempt to get a dog." Sure, he could hardly take care of himself, but a dog would be a different matter. Or... perhaps a cat instead, less high maintenance.
