(Yeah! I don't know who I'd play though. No clue. I've only seen the two movies, not the tv show or the comics or whatever. I mean I can always make a human but really the only dragon that vaguely interests me is a Night Fury... but I'd be more interested in playing one than being a rider.)

. Astrid Maiike . Rider of Nyx the Nightfury Hybrid [ Calder & Einarr ; Lycaonia ]
The stables were relatively quiet as Astrid sat on a stool, running her hand over Nyx's head and quietly singing to the large dragon. It was a habit of theirs, one adapted after the alpha's attack, to calm Nyx down from her 'panic attacks', as Astrid called them. The female hybrid had taken to quiet nervousness and jumpiness after falling under the alpha's lure.
Not that it was Nyx's fault, of course. She might be alpha material, but she preferred her role as a delta, and she wasn't like Toothless - she wasn't sure she could have broken away from the alpha's call and taken back her control. As such, she had become fearful that the alpha might come back, and Astrid had quickly taken to singing to calm her down.
Someone coming in to the stables caught Astrid's attention, and she quietly whispered to Nyx that she would be back momentarily. Then, she walked out of the stall on light feet, and came upon Calder and Einarr. A smile crawled onto her face, as the Hobblegrunt was a dragon she'd grown quite fond of in her time back on Berk.
"Hello, Calder, Einarr. How are you two today? Would you like some help with anything? Nyx is in a stall right now, but she doesn't need anything so I might as well make myself useful, eh?"

Calder Stendahl and Einarr ~ Village Stables ~ With Astrid Maiike and Nyx (ʙᴜᴍʙʟᴇʙᴇᴇ »)Calder ducked his head as he passed through the ground-level entrance to the stables. He knew he didn't have to - bigger dragons than Einarr lived on Berk after all, but it was a gut reaction he didn't care enough about to stop. Einarr paused as movement sounded to their right, tilting his head as his hide rippled to a curious purple. Seeing Astrid, the Hobblegrunt trilled happily, his scales returning to a bright, happy yellow at the sight of the girl. He padded over, teeth clicking together gently in a soft greeting. Calder slipped off the back of his dragon, patting Einarr's hide firmly as he landed. "Hello, Astrid," He replied as Einarr stuck his head closer to the girl, demanding that she pet him. Calder snorted at his dragon's shameless desire for scratches, getting a tail smacked into the back of his legs for his troubles. "We're fine today," He continued, shaking his head, "Einarr's used up two full shot limits already this morning though, so we decided to come down for a little rest and relaxation." The young man's hand stroked gently over his dragon's flank as he grinned at the slightly older woman. Calder and Einarr were never far from each other and seemed to maintain physical contact as much as they could. "I was just going to oil his scales down," Calder explained as Einarr cooed at the much-loved words, "He got a little frustrated earlier, you know how hard that ice is to melt. How are you and Nyx?" Calder had heard that Nyx had been having a few problems since the Alpha attacked, and was sad to hear it. The adventurous Night Fury hybrid was a beautiful dragon and one he was fond of. "Has she been feeling any better?" He asked, remembering Einarr's own skittishness lately that was, thankfully, beginning to fade.

. Ragnol Ulfketil . Rider of Dust Devil the Sand Wraith [ The Village Forge | 【 ᵗʷᶦˡᶦᵍʰᵗ 】 's Astra & Celestial ]
At the sound of pain, Ragnol abruptly glanced up, concerned. His gaze zeroed in on the noise’s culprit and noticed Astera’s look of pain. He furrowed his brow into a frown, somewhat bewildered. The temptation to press for her well-being arouse, but it was quickly pocketed to the sound of urgency noticed in her tone. As a result, the blacksmith followed his companion out from the stuffy forgery. The change in temperature was immediately noticeable. Contrasting against the waves of heat brought by the furnace was a pleasantly cold breath of fresh, afternoon air. He slowed for a moment, reveling in the raw, natural clime that definitely came as a pleasurable change in atmosphere. Opening his mouth to inspire a lungful of air, he enjoyed the wafting scents the village had to offer—the sweet, buttery fragrance from the bakery, the honeyed, sharp aroma of stirring mead, or simply the scents the winds brought. His exhale came out as a pensive sigh. It beat having to constantly take in the smell of smoke and coal. Ragnol welcomed the shouts of working men and women, which had been drowned out by the noisy roar of the furnace’s fire. Metal clangs echoed through the air from the construction work and some chips of ice actually rained down over his head. He brushed out the fragments of verglas off of his chocolate brown locks, fingering the cold pieces—gloves protecting his hands from the bite of cold presented. He glanced over his shoulder good-naturedly, spotting an unfamiliar viking. She clung to an ice spike and waved over at him, hammer still in hand, shouting out a greeting that was drowned out by the noise of reconstruction. The individual’s dragon—a monstrous nightmare—lay beside her, draped over a wooden platform. Occasionally the drake would belch a steady stream of golden flames that would lick against the frozen pillar to help soften its solidity. In turn, the woman would take advantage of the melted mush, scoping it out and pouring it over the edge. This time, the blacksmith managed to skitter out of the way with a playful grin.
Another perk of freedom: maneuverability. The forge offered so little room to move, which left the lad’s muscles and bones cramped. He decided to stretch while it was still on his mind, feeling the bones crick in kind, releasing tension that made him sigh in relief. He waved goodbye to the unknown worker in courtesy and dashed to catch up to Astera. Dust Devil noticed his approach and raced to make up the distance between them. She head-butted his chest in great affectionate, her strength managing to knock him down with a surprised “oof.” A sandpapery tongue passed across his face in apology, before her maw clamped down gently on his arm and she hoisted him back onto his feet—not once did she stop crooning, obviously happy to see him.
He scratched under her chin, giving a little laugh. “Ya miss me already girl? It’s only been five minutes!”
The Sand Wraith’s purring intensified and she rubbed against him, not unlike a cat’s affectionate behavior. Not ceasing his gentle scuffing against his dragon’s scales—which prompted a steady increase of volume in her purring—Ragnol looked over at Astera. Though the two had discussed the location, Ragnol wanted to be absolutely certain that his companion didn't have anyplace else in mind that she'd much rather go to. “To the bay right”
{ x } The Sand Wraith had listened intently to Celestial and gave a slight frown. Think more… humanely? But she was a dragon! Sure, she understood it as a figure of speech, but the dragon was a bit proud of her heritage. She didn’t like deviating away from her natural roots simply to concoct a plan that seemed more ‘human’. Wasn’t a fish enough? Shaking her head, she reminded herself this was for her rider.
‘I guess that could work,’ she finally agreed, though a bit reluctantly. She felt a tad wary. What if Ragnol didn’t want such a scheme reenacted? She’d seen the looks he gave Astera, felt his longing to be with her, but what if he was waiting for his own time—or none at all?
Internally, the beast groaned, finding the situation a lot more complicated than she’d originally anticipated. Her qualms were all pushed away at the sight of Ragnol.
Unlike Celestial, the Sand Wraith didn’t even wait for her rider’s advance and instead shot up to meet him. Apparently, her greeting came off as too strong, as he was immediately knocked to the ground. Voicing a polite ‘sorry’, she picked him up with a steady, yet gentle grip—which, if circumstance had been different, could’ve easily ripped off his arm.
He greeted her with teasing words and satisfactory scratching. She purred as he managed to scuff at a dragon’s soft spot and the fact she was here with her.

. Artemis Kollsvein . Rider of Juno the Stormcutter [ Misty Backwoods' Sky | 𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛 's Luca Halvar & Zero ]
If truth be told, Artemis was quite pleased by Juno’s handiwork and beamed to show her pride—especially after Luca’s comment. She hadn’t expected an accolade from the lad, but welcomed it all the same.
“Why thank ya!” she stated, satisfied. A grin spread across her the viking’s face and she took the moment to reminiscence. “Juno used to be the top hunter of her territory. Sometimes my group and I witnessed her hunt, but nobody really dared catch her, until folk from my faction started disappearing. I’m pretty sure she ate them.” The warrior said this matter-of-factly and with a shrug. Trappers were oftentimes mean individuals, not just because of their job, but what they often did to bully and harass others.
“So they decided to shoot her down after that and to boost my morale cause dragon tamin’ and all. It took a lot of tries, but they managed. Guess they shouldn’t have sent me to fetch her, eh? Because after all that, we’re still together.” She patted Juno’s neck. “Isn’t that right, girl?”
The dragon in question allowed a low croon to echo through her throat; it really didn't sound affectionate, but more so proud in her ability. She’d listened intently to the conversation and couldn’t help but remain pleased by Luca’s initial comment. The stormcutter’s eyes lingered on the man, nasal platings occasionally stirring and shifting in response. She still didn’t like him as much, but at least he had the decency to admit defeat.
Her talons gripped the buck a bit tighter, feeling its previous warmth slowly seep away into the cold grip of death. Their boar wasn’t too shabby, but the drake felt as though she could’ve picked out something more… refined. A snort passed through her nose, sending a cloud of chilled mist. Finally, Artemis spoke again:
“If you don’t have anything else in mind, then we could head to the butchery and drop off these catches? I could teach ya how to cut into animals!"

There is a kind of beauty that seems to pull the breath straight from your lungs; a demand of payment, claiming what it rightfully deserves. It leaves you staring in breathless wonder, letting the moment swell within you, your soul stirring, begging to see more. Those moments that seem to hang in the air, even after they have passed, leaving echoes that we try all too hard to grasp, but they always seem to slip out between our fingers. The moments we can only try to bring back in our memories, we remember the rush, the stolen air, but the image is merely a shadow of its true glory. It was one of these moments that Eydis found herself in, legs dangling off of the precipice of a cliff, the earth dropping beneath her feet, the ocean's waves caressing the stone wall that supported her. Grey eyes gazed out across the vast expanse of water, marvelling at the sight before her. It seemed as though the ocean in all of its untamed power had managed to capture the sun, holding its glowing brilliance just beneath the surface. The reflection rippled as the wind brushed the surface, swirling up towards her carried on the wings of a magnificent beast. A rush of wind tousled her tawny hair, freeing strands from her already messy braid and she did her best to brush them behind her ears, having never been one who could stand hair touching her face. Taking one last longing glance out towards the unknown lands beyond the edge, Eydis pushed herself to her feet, tucking her compass underneath her tunic, the tool cold against her skin. Turning she faced the creature that had landed behind her, her face breaking into a grin at the sight of her best friend in all his glowing glory. Spiritlight was a magnificent dragon at least in Eydis's eyes, she was a bit biased. The "nightmare"'s blue scales seemed to pulse with energy as Spiritlight cooed at his rider, glowing algae still dripping from his mouth. "You were hungry, eh?" Eydis chuckled softly as she moved towards the dragon, wrapping her arms around his head in an embrace and scratching the scales beneath his chin. The dragon clearly enjoyed the treatment as he leaned into her hands, his eyes closed, utterly content. Climbing up onto the saddle, Eydis leaned forwards, giving his neck a quick pat, "We should probably be getting back, eh bud?" Spiritlight gave a quick snort in response and lept to the skies, his powerful wings slicing through the air as they rapidly gained altitude. As the duo broke through the clouds Eydis closed her eyes, feeling the wind buffeting her face as they soared. She could feel each of Spiritlight's breaths and swore that she could even feel his heart beating, matching her own that pounded in her ears as the adrenaline coursed through her veins. The feeling of flying, defying the laws of gravity that calls her to stay grounded, was a whirlwind for the young knight. The skies were the dragon's domain, and she felt honoured to be invited into them. At first she had been terrified of them, heights had at one point been her biggest fear, but due to the patient teaching of Spiritlight, she had taken to them as a fish takes to water, and now flying was a second nature for her, it felt just like running, but at higher speeds, and there was a bit more of a risk-well maybe she was still getting over her fear. Spiritlight slowed to a glide, the taut skin of his wing still flapping in the breeze, twisting slightly as he played in the wind's currents. He suddenly turned back to Eydis, gave her a quick, mischievous warble and turned his large head back ahead. Leaning forward once more, preparing for the worst, Eydis gripped the saddle tightly, "What are you plan-?" Her question was cut off sharply as the world seemed to drop out from underneath her, the pair dropping into a steep dive. Spiritlight tucked his wings tightly against his sides, the two slicing through the air like a speeding arrow, piercing through the clouds and plummetting down towards the deep vastness of ocean beneath them. Finally finding her breath, Eydis let out a loud "Whoop" of joy as the blue depths approached faster and faster, still nervous for her own safety, but trusting her companion. Just as Eydis was about to pull up, the water far closer than she would have liked, Spiritlight opened his wings suddenly, turning out of the dive to skim across the water, a wake shooting up behind them. Eydis tasted the salt of the sea as the spray hit her tongue as she cheered once more, her heart hammering in her chest. "That one was close bud, now you're just testing me." Spiritlight warbled out a laugh, or his form of one, it was more like an echoing noise, but it was still a laugh. "You really are a nightmare sometimes." Her voice held a teasing lilt as she patted his side affectionately. Although it still terrified her, she knew this was his way of helping her get over her fear of heights, his own twisted way, but she appreciated it nonetheless. As Berk slowly emerged from the fog, Spiritlight let up on his speed, taking the two swirling into the air and landing neatly in the middle of it, although he wasn't nearly as vain as Zero, Spiritlight still liked to make an entrance, he was a Night Fury after all. Sliding out of the saddle, hair all in a tussle, Eydis patted Spiritlight's side once more, shaking her head warmly at his antics, "You silly beast." She was met with a rough tongue running across her face and plastering her loose hairs backwards. Using her sleeve to get the spit out of her eyes, Eydis stuck out her tongue derisively, "Again, a nightmare." She chuckled again, scratching him once more underneath his head, before turning to face the bustling life that was the island of Berk.

Astera Fyrason - Rider of Celestial Solstice the Woolly Howl The Village Forge ᔕɿɱƿՆעᗰעς੮ע's Ragnol & Dust Devil
Astera could only gently rub her jaw, and to the greeting she cringed, the blood rushing throughout her body in jealousy. She hoped she could grow out of her crush on Ragnol, but the thought of him was exactly what she found perfect. His curly red hair, his brown eyes and even his freckles. The scars on his arms that formed over the years, and even his voice she grew into loving. And most importantly— all of him. Ragnol was always there, and she never grew old of him or his company. She stared at him dreamily, her eyes lidded. Although she was upset before, he always made her feel better even without saying anything, and besides, the pain in her wet muscle brought her out of sadness and to focus on the beauty of the man she was in love with. I love him.. Her eyes widened at the confession, and she never believed she was in love, but the more she looked at him, the more she realized how perfect he was in her eyes. She gently covered her face with her small hands, her face heating up faster than she expected.
She didn't deny the confession, Ragnol was always there. She was always crushing on him— since the start. They grew up together, close as ever. Heck, even her parents let them sleep in the same bed until she was the age of ten! He would always let her wrap her smaller frame around his, cuddling as close as possible. Her legs would wrap around his lower half and she'd snuggle her face deep into his chest or neck or even the middle of his back. She didn't remember complaints if he gave any, but all she remembered was the happiness she felt when it was the last night they slept together, and he rolled over and embraced her all night. Those were days and nights of innocence, but she never once denied her crush on him.
But to say she loved him? It was a gigantic step! She felt her heart leap in her chest, thoughts trailing back to her childhood. He even saved her once from a Monstrous Nightmare before dragons were accepted. It was a terrifying day, really, but it was hilarious to think back onto. Her cheeks became warmer and she froze in place after feeling her own dragon rub against her thighs in a comforting manner. It distracted Astera indefinitely, and she slowly brought her hands away from her reddened face to pet her Woolly Howl. Celestial Solstice acted a lot like Astera's stray cat Mika. Perhaps being raised like by a human confused the beloved creature, but nonetheless, Celestial Solstice seemed to know her place— she may've been a bit confused, if at all, but she was smart.
The sound escaping from her friend caused Astera's cranium to immediately turn to look at the sight. Her mouth was gaped and her honey optics were wide. Before she could ask if he was okay, it was evident that Ragnol's being was unharmed. She winced at the pain in her tongue, causing Celestial to nuzzle against her once more. To Ragnol's words, she nodded. "To the Bay."
To that, she hopped onto Celestial's back and gently kicked her sides like a horse, but with less aggression, and muttered. "Okay, to the Bay, girl." and with that, Celestial's beautiful undercoat of white on her wings outstretched, the blue highlight managing to make it's way to the eye of anyone who looked— A beautiful creature the Woolly Howl was, indeed.
~ Celestial, looking at the Sand Wraith with wide eyes, only shook her head. 'Or maybe we shouldn't?' The more she thought about it, the more she had doubts about acting out on helping her rider. She shook her head once more, and continued to rub against Astera. She saw the wince of pain wash through the beautiful femme's face and decided to distract her from it. Deep down, Celestial was aware Astera was thinking of something! She was so distracted and embarrassed, her face was terribly pink— almost red!
She watched the Sand Wraith knock over her own rider, and instead, she let out a coo of amusement, her eyes curling upwards, giving her face an oddly cute expression. However, when she watched Astera walk past and gently pat her back to aware her that the commander was hopping on, Celestial knew it was time to go.
'Come on Dev!' The Woolly Howl purred out playfully and jumped around to face the Bay, and with that, she outstretched her wings. To some nearby, she heard some of the children, and even some adults, point out her beautiful color combinations. She felt her own face flush, and jumped out at an angle, causing her to get a great and fast head start towards the Black Heart Bay, 'Beat ya there!'
{ & }
Sigurd Afargus - Rider of Ladon the Exotic Moldruffle Outside of Berk Lycaonia 's Eerika & Rune
With calm, aquatic colored optics, Sigurd's gaze was intent on the femme. Trust, he noted, proceeding to look at her and mentally follow her words like they were written on a piece of paper. However, he wasn't predicting wat she was speaking of, instead, he followed them and broke them down bit-by-bit to comprehend exactly what she said. Although what Eerika said didn't have a hidden message, Sigurd was one of those people who liked to analyze everything.
"Ah, that makes sense now." The tanned masculine spoke, the undertones of his voice, typically neutral, now deemed interest and slight, childish naivety. He was unaware it was trust that would've given him access into touching the Timberjack. "You would assume for such strong creatures that they wouldn't be delicate." He gave a slight chuckle, and continued to get comfortable in the saddle of his beloved companion. "Snow Wraith, eh?" Sigurd wiggled himself into one of the crevices of the leather seat. "Snow Wraiths are pretty interesting. What made you want to get one?"
He nodded to the young girl's words and to her confirmation, he gently rubbed the strong length of his Moldruffle's neck and gave a click. Subconsciously his body leaned forward against the back on the neck, and to his signal, the Exotic began to sprint forward. His wings were peeking out at his sides to keep himself balanced as high velocity, and to also prepare to take off. His direction was forward, towards a small clearing. Then at the clearing, the creature crouched before his hind legs gave a kick-off, pushing him into the air at a decent length. No longer than two seconds in the air, the two began their fall back towards the Earth, but suddenly there was a slap of air, and the two began to glide, Ladon's elegant yet rough wings now outstretched wide. Those said limbs began to flap to catch up to the Timberjack.
~ Ladon's eyes closed slowly in content, the gentle breeze of the wind blowing against his broad cranium began to put him at ease. He let out a soft coo in happiness, his legs dangling from his body helplessly. 'Hey Rune!' He let out a soft purr, eyes now open in interest of the female reptilian. 'How's everything been?'

Katla Hexum - Rider of Pyrrhus the Stormcutter The Village MadFaith 's Eydis & Spiritlight
Though it was a typical busy day, Katla had managed to find herself chasing after her own dragon. He was big, so he couldn't be hard to miss, she was sure of it. But somehow, he managed to hide from her day after day. The innocent rider still didn't understand why he did so. Maybe to help her out of her shy cubby, but Katla had been great without needing much social interaction. Pyrrhus was sweet though, and she considered him human, just like every other dragon. After all, they were smart.
"Pyrrhus!" She uttered out, long hands curled around her mouth to make it louder than usual, and suddenly, she broke into a coughing fit. It had been a while that she had a cold, and it hadn't seemed to go away. She was considering seeing their physician, but Katla had always gotten sick easily, and she knew it wouldn't been much longer until it went away. She finished coughing, and when she opened her eyes, they were immediately watery, as if she was on the verge of tears from crying. A soft sigh escaped her, and her shoulders slouched, knowing her dragon was difficult to deal with, and so was this cold. Pyrrhus was stubborn and strong, and she was more tempered with him than anything. But as she continued to look around, Katla looked towards the exit of the Village, and immediately, she gasped at the sight, jogging over to the pretty female and her own unique dragon.
"I am so sorry!" She exclaimed, gently patting her own dragon's shoulder, her pale cheeks now flushed in embarrassment. "He can be difficult. He wasn't bothering you, was he?" When her pale orbs finally rose to look at the person she was dealing with, she realized the opposing molly's appearance. "Oh you're wet! You should—" She began to cough once more, her lean body pulling away from Eydis and covering her mouth with her arm. Looking at Katla, it didn't look like she was sick, but instead, the only thing hinting at it was the excessive amount of long sleeves she had bought recently, and continued to wear. "Excuse me," she said politely, her eyes once again, watery. "You should go get dried up. You can catch a cold.. Like me." She hinted slightly, letting out a light, nervous giggle.
~ The Stormcutter was a Beta, yes. He was supposed to be professional and all territorial, but instead, Pyrrhus could be relaxed and a hatchling once more with his rider. Another reason for his childish acts? His rider was extremely shy, and Pyrrhus, being a Beta, knew it wasn't only not good because the were total opposites, but that she needed more interaction. The only friends she had was him, really. It definitely bothered Pyrrhus, and thus, he had continuously hid from her from the past days now.
At the time, Pyrrhus thought it would be great to make her look all over the Village, by tricking her from hiding all around the Village, and head towards the outside of the Village and wait until she went to their favorite spot together. On the way out, he spotted yet another Night Fury hybrid, and grinned, heading towards Spiritlight and his rider. 'Good evening, Spiritlight!' The Stormcutter roared out playfully. He could occasionally be caught seen as a relaxed, laid-back Beta away from their Alpha. He always needed to be somewhat professional around Asgeir. Although he felt like the Alpha needed to lighten up, only Pyrrhus knew when to do so, and get on his good side, but he preferred to show professionalism just to satisfy his Alpha.
He knew it wasn't okay to bother the rider too, but he gave a light coo towards the beautiful female and laid down, his nose high in the air as he took in the scents of his comrades. He dipped his head in apology to the hybrid, 'I'm trying to make Katla interact. I'm sorry if it's abrupt.'
Just as he spoke to the opposing dragon, he heard the approaching footsteps of his rider, and with a grin to Spiritlight, he sat up, knowing the two would have a conversation. 'How's everything been? Mind if we tag along?' But to his words, he could hear the pale female begin to cough, and cringed at the thought. It was concerning she was sick for a long time now, and though it was typical for her to catch colds, not one for this long, and hopefully Eydis wouldn't mind that.
{ I know this last one was confusing Madfaith, but it won't be like this again, I'm sorry! <3 }

Luca looked a bit nauseous at the idea of cutting into the animals. It wasn't that he was bad with blood, but just the thought of getting gore all over his hands and clothes made him frown "No, I think I'll be fine without getting blood stains all over me. Let's leave that work to the butcher." Zero let out an airy laughing noise and Luca slapped his side, gently, and snapped "Just because I like to stay clean doesn't mean anything. You can have all the fun you want getting covered in fur." Zero had no problem with that as his scales would not stain.
Sorry for the short reply!)

Eydis Arnulf Rider of Spiritlight the Nightfury Hybrid [ 【 ᵗʷᶦˡᶦᵍʰᵗ 】 - Katla Hexum and Pyrrhus ]
Eydis was startled as the large hulking figure of a majestic Stormcutter moved towards her. Although the beast was large, he moved with such grace and regality, but yet, there was a slight spring to the dragon's step, a playful edge. The rider cocked her head slightly, unbeknownst to her, copying the exact posture of her dragon behind her, both rider and dragon watching the approaching dragon curiously. A small shiver ran down the young girl's spine as the breeze hit her wet clothes, chilling her to the bone. Pressing her side against the four-legged, walking furnace that was Spiritlight, Eydis smiled warmly at the Stormcutter as it jovially called to them, offering the magnificent beast a chin scratch. She took the dragon's 'coo' as a friendly one and mused softly to the dragon, studying him carefully, "Well, aren't you a stunning creature."
The Viking watched closely as the much larger Stormcutter interacted with her Spiritlight, stifling a laugh at just how minuscule her dragon looked standing beside the Beta. Her attention was diverted at the sound of a shout followed by a coughing fit, her brows furrowing with concern as another figure approached. She guessed this was the other dragon's rider, and her smile broadened slightly. Shaking her head at the other female's apology on behalf of her 'difficult' dragon, she dismissed it warmly with a wave of her hand, "He hasn't been a bother at all, no need to apologize." She gazed back at the regal dragon quickly, running her hand lightly along his scales, admiring their unique colour. "You have a beautiful dragon. He must be an amazing companion, very friendly." As the other woman fell prey to another coughing fit, the corners of Eydis's mouth twitched slightly, concern written on her face. "You alright there? That sounds like a nasty cold..." She was heart warmed by Katla's concern for staving off the possibility of herself catching a cold but saw the other rider's present cold a much more pressing matter. "I'll be fine, this one just wanted to take me for a little scare." She gestured over her shoulder to the glowing Night Fury hybrid, sticking out her tongue jokingly which earned her a toothless grin in response, Spiritlight's vibrating laugh spilling out. "They are buggers sometimes, but I guess we can be pests too." Spiritlight butted her elbow playfully, slipping underneath her arm so that her hand rested on his head and she scratched his forehead fondly. Turning her attention back once more, she stuck out her hand, "My name is Eydis by the way, Eydis Arnulf, and this guy is Spiritlight."
{&}Spiritlight tilted his head curiously as Pyrrus made his way towards the two, recognizing the dragon immediately at a beta, and therefore his superior. The Night Fury hybrid's curiosity was farther peaked by the clearly playful greeting, which he returned with a dip of his rather large head. 'Hello Pyrrus!' The dragon's returned his superior's playful tone, his ear-like appendages raising as the larger beast neared. He had always liked the beta, being able to connect with him a bit more than the others, Pyrrus actually seemed willing to talk and interact with the Deltas, plus Spiritlight had yet to catch the Stormcutter in a bad mood, he just seemed to be perpetually happy.
Sitting up on his haunches front legs dangling loosely and resting slightly on his knees, Spiritlight watched Eydis interact with Pyrrus. He was always proud of how well she reacted to other dragons, finding such joy in meeting a new one, but this interaction also came with the all too familiar pang of jealousy in his stomach. Sure he could be independent when he wanted to, but he also loved Eydis's attention. The feeling was minor enough that it was easy enough to push aside and ignore, choosing instead to focus on Pyrrus's explanation. With the irony of the situation, Spiritlight couldn't help but chuckle slightly his laugh warbling. 'No problem at all. Sometimes I wonder what our riders would do without us. Eydis was and still is, despite what she says, afraid of heights. The reason she is a bit... misted, is because I decided to push her a bit, give her a light scaring. You don't learn you can fly without leaping off a cliff right? Trial by fire.' He glanced fondly at his rider, his finned tail flicking absentmindedly, 'She'll come around sooner or later. She's come a long way already.'
As the other rider approached Spiritlight's scales pulsed with energy, his form of greeting a human as they didn't always seem to understand roars, and dropped down to all fours. As the two humans engaged in a conversation of their own, Spiritlight turned his attention to the beta's question. 'Good so far, Eydis and I went out for a flight and searched some of the neighbouring islands. There were no fresh signs of any activity as far as we could tell. I think she was planning on hitting another island soon, and you'd be more than welcome if you'd like to fly with us.' Spiritlight felt a bit strange being the one to invite a beta on their scouting mission, seeing as it was usually the other way around, but he didn't want to pass up the opportunity for some draconic company. 'Maybe the two of them together will be able to help each one overcome their fears. I know that Eydis would feel more comfortable flying at a higher altitude with another dragon and rider...' As he spoke about his beloved rider, he overheard her comment directed towards him followed by the flash of her small pink tongue, he retorted with a gummy grin and wormed his way under her hand, cooing softly to her.
(And no need to apologize, it wasn't that difficult to track)
