Lol. How are you Silk?))
Oracan was waddling through the forest, green scales blending in with the woody surroundings. The large, green dragon was bending in between the trees to avoid making noise as he moved. He looked over when he saw a sunny clearing and that’s when he saw another dragon there as well. He growled lowly and he rolled bisblarge, broad shoulders and slowly made his way over. If this dragon was a threat he’d need to deal with it.

((Pretty good, you? Sorry, we were making cupcakes ;P))
Onyx sighed quietly, her orange eyes half shut so the sun wouldn't be such a bother. She hadn't noticed Oracan, and was just as laid back in the previous moment. The black female glanced around at her surroundings, feeling quite out of place with such dark colors.

((Lol no problem. How are you?))
Oracan drew closer, tail waving slowly and he growled. “Who are you?” He asked loudly, now snarling. His frills raised, making him appear even bigger and he flared his shimmering green and gold wings. “Why are you in this forest?”

((Pretty good. The weekend is almost over so oof, but good otherwise.))
Onyx jumped to her feet (or whatever they're called, lmao) and growled, startled by the male's sudden voice. She bared her teeth, then took a step back. The female lowered her head, intimidated by Oracan's large size. However, she did not respond to him.

The young male dragon watch the female back up and he kept his wings up but he settled a bit. “I’ll ask again, why are you in this forest?” He didn’t want to attack, but would if he needed to. This forest was his home and he would eliminate any threat to it.

Onyx straightened up, the spikes along the end of her tail growing erect as she grew agitated. The female dragon growled quietly, then began to speak after hesitating. "I'm in this forest simply to live. Is there a problem?" she asked icily, then realized how threat-like that sounded, and backed up again.

He growled again a few times and his scaley body began shimmering in the light. But when he saw she wasn’t attacking, nor was anything burning or spontaneously dying around her, he realized she wasn’t doing any harm. He settled down and grunted, lowering his wings. “Sorry, I just wanted to make sure you weren’t trying to destroy my home here.” He said softly.

The black, shimmery dragon let out a relieved sigh as if she had been holding her breath. Thank goodness. "That's alright...so, I can stay, or...?" she thought aloud slowly, her posture relaxing and muscles untensing.

“Eh I have an entire forest so if I need to I can always move.” He said with a smile as he advanced a little towards her, no longer mad or threatening. “You can stay, plus it’s nice being able to talk to another dragon.” He said as he sat up, now towering over her just from his large size.

The female didn't feel threatened or intimidated anymore, but it did make her nervous that Oracan was much larger than her. "I agree, it's been a while since I've had a conversation with another dragon. Onyx, by the way." she added, her tail flicking with slight curiosity.

Oracan nodded softly as he curled his tail around his paws and over his talons. “Nice to meet you, Onyx. I’m Oracan.” He replied, tail also twitching. He then looked her over and tipped his head a little. “Where are you from? I haven’t seen a species like you around here.” He said, not wanting to be offensive but just genuinely curious.

She smiled as the male introduced himself, and even more so when he asked about her previous location. "I'm a traveler, I've been lots of places. However, I'm a crossbreed." Onyx added, allowing a bit of pride to creep into her tone.

He smiled a bit and nodded. “Oh okay.” He said as he laid down so he could see and hear her better, landing with a thud. “Well that’s kinda cool, being a traveler and all.” He said as he basked in the sunlight beside Onyx’s perching place. Have you seen all of the human cities around here?” He asked, dark eyes looking up at her.

Onyx went silent as he mentioned the pale, tiny creatures and frowned. She looked away from his gaze, looking over at the trees around them. The black female shifted uncomfortably, her tail wrapping around her side. "I avoid humans and their civilizations as well as I can." she stated quietly.

He nodded slowly. “Hey I understand. I was just wondering cause I’ve never been to one. Can’t really go near one unnoticed at my size.” He said with a goofy grin. “Where else have you been?” He asked. Oracan himself hadn’t been outside of the forest, but it was so big there was plenty to explore.

She was relieved he changed the subject so quickly, and smiled. "I've been to a region of sand before, it was quite warm. There was sand everywhere, and these little green spiky trees. They didn't have leaves though." Onyx elaborated, trying to give Oracan a good explanation of the plant she'd seen.

He blinked a couple times, trying to imagine what she was talking about. “I’ve heard of a place like it, but I’m probably not envisioning it the same way.” He replied with a shrug. “Anywhere else?” He asked, genuinely curious about all the other places that existed.

She shrugged. "There are lots of forests like this, but way more green and colorful. The trees are HUGE there, too. Ooh, and I've seen some snowy places too! Those are pretty cold." Onyx explained, enjoying the conversation about her nomadic ways. "Has it ever snowed here?"

He nodded slowly and sighed happily as the sun warmed his body. “Very rarely. I think the last time was about twenty cold seasons ago.” He replied as he looked up at her. “Have you been here long?”

She nodded in understanding. It was quite sunny here, so it must've taken quite a bit to actually get snow to fall from the sky. "Not very, only a few weeks. I don't stay in one place for more than a year, rarely two."

Onyx contemplated her reply for a moment, then looked back at the male. "I have, but I don't know if it'd be the best choice. I've never really wondered what it would be like, but I oughta try some time." she thought aloud with a smile.

He nodded and chuckled a bit, standing up again as he’d finished soaking up the sun. “I see. Well, I guess I might see you around.” He said, tail waving in a friendly way as he looked down at her. “I hope you’ll stick around, I liked talking like this.” He said happily.

Onyx nodded, considering the suggestion for once in a long time. Perhaps it wouldn't be so bad to remain in the forest for a while. "See you, it was a pleasure meeting you Oracan. I hope we meet again." she added with a warm smile, staying where she was.

He looked back at her and nodded, smiling as he trotted away with his tail swinging slowly as he walked. He smirked happily as he walked, glad he met another dragon. “Now... to find some food...” he murmured, sniffing the air as he looked around.

Onyx watched Oracan as he left, then stood up and spread her wings. Glancing at the one torn wing she'd been hiding, she sighed. For once, Onyx may have needed the human inhabitants' help. Unless the dragon she'd just met was some kind of miracle worker, a human with nimble hands would probably have to rejoin the skin flaps in her wings.

Onyx hadn't left the area yet. She decided she'd liked it, especially with the rare company that Ocaran gave the female. She still hadn't gotten enough courage to approach and even communicate with the humans, but found her wing was healing by itself. It was still torn, but at least not an open wound anymore. ((Sure. We should get some form of drama going soon, too. ))
