So Valley lives inside the cave, correct?? Maybe this clan could live up in the mountains?? Maybe they're larger or thicker furred cats because logically it's cooler in the mountains?? I'm kinda liking Peak- or Mountain-

Okay so the second one will actually end up being a tribe in the mountains named Tribe of Mountains Peak. I'm thinking of names for the healer and stuff
and i'm thinking that not only does the healer stand as leader and medicine cat, but they have an apprentice that was chosen by the Tribe of the Spirits (Starclan) (Tribe of Spirits Peak maybe?) And they also have a second in command that only serves as a deputy and arranges patrols and stuff, but that's all really??

Hunters: hunt for food for the tribe Protectors: usually are the cats that protect the camp and do most of the fighting Tunneler: Cats that make underground tunnels in the mountain as an escape route??
All cats do, however, learn basic battle moves, and hunting skills. They all go on patrols for borders and stuff, as it doesn't include hunting or fighting- but a majority of the cats on patrols tend to be protectors.
Idk, what do you guys think?

plot information - Leopardstar & Teller of Flowing Clouds, Cat A, and Cat B are all siblings from the same litter. one of their parents was from ValleyClan and the other was from the Tribe of Mountain's Peak. a war was waging between the two cat colonies when the siblings were born and so each parent brought two kits home to their own group. - Leopardstar, Teller of Flowing Clouds, Cat A, and Cat B all remained close throughout their lives, though Leopardstar and Teller of Flowing Clouds were always the closest - Cat A, the sibling that lives with Teller in the tribe, dies. Leopardstar travels with a small party to the mountains to attend their funeral. - once the clan cats leave, Eagle that Cries at Night tells Teller of Flowing Clouds that she smelled ValleyClan scent on Cat A and accuses the clan cats of murdering them - a war breaks out after tensions escalate
plot Seasons ago, four half-blooded kits were born in a time of war and discord. Their mother was Blackwing of ValleyClan, their father Night of Many Stars of the Tribe of Mountain's Peak. Somehow the couple had found peace between themselves during the tumultuous time, but they could not hide their relationship after Blackwing gave birth to a litter clearly bearing Night of Many Star's likeness. Brightstar, the leader of ValleyClan, and the Teller of Flowing Clouds met with Blackwing and Night on the border of their territories to decide upon an arrangement for raising the kits. It was decided that each parent would take two kits. Blackwing took a white and gray rosetted she-kit and a DESCRIPTION HERE TOM/SHE-KIT, naming them Leopardkit and NAME HERE; Night of Many Stars took a white and caramel rosetted she-kit and a DESCRIPTION HERE TOM/SHE-KIT, naming them NAME HERE and NAME HERE. The kits grew up knowing they had half-blood and that their siblings lived just a few days away. When they were all of age, they met at a gathering and became fast friends. Leopardkit, now Leopardpaw, and NAME HERE had the closest relationship out of them all. They counted the days until the bi-moonly gatherings, waiting to reunite with each other. Eventually the four kits grew up and became warriors, treaders, or trailers. Leopardpaw became Leopardclaw and, finally, Leopardstar. Similarly, NAME HERE became the Teller of Flowing Clouds. The sisters vowed to rule their clan and tribe in peace and to never war with each other. Fast forward to the present and the sisters have kept their vow. They still meet every other moon for gatherings, and sometimes they even meet multiple times in a moon just to enjoy each other's company. One sunrise, Leopardstar receives word that NAME HERE has died. She makes the decision to leave her deputy, Nightfrost, in charge of the clan while she and a party of warriors make the trek to the Tribe of Mountain's Peak's camp to attend NAME HERE'S funeral and pay their respects. All goes well until after they return home. Once the clan cats leave, Eagle that Cries at Night, CloudTeller's second-in-command, tells her leader that she smelled a strange scent on NAME HERE'S corpse and only when Leopardstar and her clanmates came to their camp did she realize it was ValleyClan scent. She places the blame of NAME HERE'S mysterious death on ValleyClan's paws. CloudTeller and Leopardstar try to keep the peace but with tensions rising in both colonies, it's nearly impossible. Finally, the tensions come to a climax when two border patrols run into each other. The cats fight and neither side escapes unscathed, though ValleyClan leaves in a significantly worse condition as one of their warriors, NAME HERE, was killed. When the patrol returns to ValleyClan camp, Leopardstar realizes they can take no more and has a clan gathering that night where she declares war on the Tribe of Mountain's Peak and her own sister. A messenger is sent to the tribe's camp and CloudTeller is told of the development. She, too, declares war on her sister. Many cats will die in this war, others will return to their camps maimed and disabled. Families will be ripped apart, as well as friendships. One can only ask how this would be allowed to happen as both StarClan and the Tribe of Spirit's Peak watch on.

writing level } ___ is a semi-advanced role-play and, as such, members are required to have an average minimum of three sentences per post. More would be preferable, but low muse does happen and the mods understand that. With that being said, the mods do tend to write one to three detailed paragraphs per post. - Please use proper grammar. A few mistakes here and there is easily excusable, but it won't be acceptable if you have multiple grammatical or spelling errors in all of your posts.
activity } You should be on at least twice a week for a pretty lengthy period and actually role-play -- not just chat. If you will be taking a leave of absence, please notify one of the moderators and tell them how long you will be gone for. - If a week goes by and you haven't been on, you will receive a warning. If another week goes by and you still haven't been on, you will be deleted with the option to rejoin. There is a two week gap between when you are deleted and when you may rejoin. If you are deleted a second time, you will not have the chance to rejoin. - If you are occupying a higher position - such as that of the deputy, medicine cat, medicine cat apprentice, or one of the cats involved in the main plot - you will be held to a higher standard of activity.
character standards } Characters are expected to have somewhat realistic names and wholly realistic physical attributes. Please check with one of the mods before joining with an extremely unique prefix. Also, suffixes should be fitting for the territory the cats live in. If you need help with naming, feel free to ask one of the mods for ideas or opinions.
lgbt+ } ____ is a LGBT+ friendly role-play. We accept cats with non-heterosexual sexualities, as well as non-binary cats. If you are not okay with this clan having LGBT+ cats and members, this is not the clan for you. I suggest you move on.
spam and harassment } We kindly ask all non-members to not post here calling someone back to another thread. If you need to reach them, send them a PM, like their posts, whatever - do anything but post here asking them to return. - Harassment of others for whatever reason will not be tolerated. Keep your mouth shut if you don't have anything nice to say.
joining } The first two characters you join with must be a tom and a molly, to keep the genders somewhat even. Every cat after that can be whatever gender you please. - There is no limit to how many cats you may join with, but if it becomes an issue, one of the mods will talk to you about removing some of your characters. - Joining with more than two cats from the same nuclear family(mother, father, kits) is not allowed. Fill in families that need more cats in them or families that have open spots - just ask members beforehand if it's alright that you create a cat for their family and make sure your cat looks vaguely familiar. Exact genetics aren't required, but you shouldn't have a Russian blue among a family of black cats. - For every apprentice/to-be you join with, you must also have two warriors/full tribe members. This is to keep the clan/tribe from being overpopulated with apprentices. Similarly, for every five cats you join with, you must also join with an elder. - Please do not post your joining forms on the main page - instead, post them on the joining page.
post headers } All members are required to use post headers. They don't have to be anything special; all we require is a name at the beginning of your post. Alternatively, role-play profiles are also acceptable.
forum rules } Breaking one of the forum rules results in immediate deletion and reporting. You will not be permitted to rejoin the clan.
tribe-clan relations } There is a maximum of four half-blooded(half-clan, half-tribe) cats in either role-play. You may not join as one. After a period of role-playing in the clan/tribe, you may ask the mods for approval to join with one. - If you and another member are thinking of having a forbidden relationship between a clan cat and a tribe cat, please ask the moderators before you doing so. We don't want the role-plays overrun by forbidden relationships, as a large number of cats having them at once is just not realistic.

territory ValleyClan takes up residence in Great Basin National Park, though this is before many humans lived in or around the park. Covering most of the territory is a large coniferous forest. The camp lies in the easternmost part of the territory. Most of the territory lies in a valley, but there are some parts that are more hilly or even mountainous. These regions lay to the west and east and are known to humans as the Sierra Nevada and Wasatch Mountain ranges. Running east to west through the territory is a large creek that gets quite wide at some parts and has a tendency to flood, known as Lehman's Creek. There are many lakes throughout the territory, though the three largest lay in the western part of the territory. Due to its altitude, the territory experiences both extreme heat during green-leaf - especially in the bristlecone pine forest - and extreme cold during leaf-bare. The southernmost part of the territory fades from grasslands to desert, as it is bordered by what humans call the Mojave Desert.
the great arch } Located in the southwestern part of the territory, this is where the cats meet with StarClan. It is a naturally occurring limestone arch. - a.k.a: the lexington arch
the dead forest } The Dead Forest isn't actually dead, it just consists of mainly bristlecone pine trees. Good hunting can be found here and this is also where apprentices are given one part of the specification tests. Hawks are known to nest here so it is dangerous for small cats to venture into the Dead Forest. It is located in the northwestern part of the territory. It is very sandy and dry.
the reflecting lake } In the western reaches of the territory, The Reflecting Lake is bordered by a large pine forest on one side and large cliff on the other. Here is where cats can play and relax, though it is a bit of a walk from the camp to the lake. Lots of fish live in the lake so there is good hunting to be found here as well. On a few very rare occasions, the lake has dried up in greenleaf due to the extreme aridity. - a.k.a: teresa lake
the grasslands } In the westernmost part of the territory, the grasslands are extremely safe and rich with prey. Hunters train their apprentices here until they are ready to move on to more dangerous areas.
the unforgiving peaks } To the west of ValleyClan territory are many large mountains which create the basin that the clan lives in. A group of cats called the Tribe of Mountain's Peak resides in these mountains. Only in times of dire need does the clan contact them. It is an extremely rare occurrence for them to come down from the mountains. - a.k.a: the sierra nevada range
camp The camp is settled back deep in the Lehman Caves. It's far enough back and concealed that it's been seasons since any twoleg has even come near them - but guards are still always alert. It's a spiraling mess of pillars and platforms, with varying shades of yellow and orange stone. It's possible to find a meal without leaving the camp - it's not uncommon to see mice or even bats for experienced hunters and climbers settled in corners. Kits and apprentices enjoy exploring the many rooms and holes to hide in, while still being careful of the puddles that cover the ground at time. There are multiple spots, all raised off of the ground, for nests. No rank besides the medicine cats and and leader have a specific den. The medicine cat den is closest to the ground and exit of the caves, which is entered through a hole in the wall that opens into a large open area. The leader's den is the highest up, where he or she climbs a pillar into a spot concealed by stone. Generally, the higher up a cat sleeps, the more respect they have within the Clan. The way to exit the caves is hidden in the back, a tunnel that cats have to push through and end up in the forest, surrounded by undergrowth and shaded by a large tree. This acts almost as a lounge for cats that feel uncomfortable closed in the caves for sometimes up to days at a time. Due to the creek that runs nearby camp, it isn't uncommon for the camp to flood or for the outermost rooms of the cavern to flood, causing cats to move closer to the center of camp. When the flooding gets too dangerous to remain in camp, the clan leaves the caves and finds a temporary camp.
