( π―ππΎππππΉπ½ππΆππ β ) .samael. It was a cold and dark night. A figure dressed like he was going to a funeral walked past the rows and rows of houses lining the dimly lit street, his shoes clicking against the pavement in an almost ominous way. Might be because he was searching for something, someone... to be his dinner for the night. He had managed to keep his composure though, his eyes blue, his fangs human-like canines. For he had been doing this too long to lose his composure now, at a simple stomach growl. Licking his teeth as he walked past the cookie cutter houses, each and every one of them seeming more and more similar than the last, he came upon one particular house that seemed... louder than the last. Probably because there was a party happening, but... I digress. But, thinking about it for a second, he thought... maybe he'd find the one here. Maybe he'd find his "lucky" person, to be his dinner. So, walking up the steps towards this party, he opened the door and walked right in. Boy, did he almost regret his decision afterwards. For this wasn't a regular party... this was some college kid kinda stuff. Grimacing as he walked in, he instantly caught a major whiff of all sorts of stuff. Blood, burnt human food, alcohol, and... smoke that, well, didn't smell like cigarettes. At least to him. He didn't like sound of it already, either, the DJ at the party playing some, in his opinion, not so great music. And extremely loudly, as well. He hoped everything was legal here, at least. He didn't want the cops to be called and he be arrested for whatever reason. That would be... a big problem, in the simplest terms. As he was greeted by a drunken college kid with a bottle in his hand, he was starting to think this was a bad idea. He hated blood soured with any drug, be it alcohol or THC or heroin. He found it awful. But then again, he was already here so... might as well try and find someone who was sober. He snuck his way around the partying students and into the kitchen, where the smell and noise were not so loud and he could actually hear himself think. Grabbing himself a glass of water, he leaned against the table and began to drink, his eyes lazily watching as people stumbled through, grabbing God knows what out of the cupboards and proceeding to stuff it in their faces. Jesus. This was going to be a wild night.

α΄α΄ΚΚα΄α΄α΄α΄Ιͺα΄ (we shaaalll~) Christopher wasn't expecting another presence to appear, though perhaps he should have. It was a party, after all. But now he was presented with two options: lie and say he was friends with Finn to appear like he belonged, or tell the truth and risk getting asked to leave. Chris didn't want to throw the poor kid under the bus, and besides, lying wasn't his forte...unless it actually mattered.
"We've just met." he answered for Finn. His hand emerged from his jacket pocket with the intent to extend it in greeting, but something stopped him. With the addition of a second mortal close to him, the smell of life was suddenly overwhelming. It was like being punched in the gut with the instinctual urge to feed, and he was painfully reminded of how long it'd been since he last drank blood. So instead of holding out his hand to shake he held it over his nose, using the long sleeve to help filter the air. He could not bite someone tonight! In fact, it was probably a good idea to leave before he gave in to the temptation. That packet of blood in the car was calling his name, though at this point he wasn't sure if it'd be enough...
But he had to play it cool for now. Get introductions out of the way, and then as soon as he had a chance to himself he could just slip away and disappear. "I'm Christopher." he said, muffled through the fabric. "It's, er, nice to meet you. And you too, Finn."

bullets (just a lil starter post. Let me know if you'd prefer a different setting) Julian was having a long night so far. His shift was rather uneventful up until the point when a large party of rowdy twenty-somethings crowded the bar, demanding a bunch of different drinks and just being all around loud and obnoxious. Giving them drinks didn't help, as they started advancing on empty tables and dancing on them...while chanting off-pitch drunken pop songs.
Normally he was a laid-back, easy-going guy, but sometimes...he sighed. At least they were gone now. He continued washing a glass, his eye trained towards the door awaiting the next patron. He wondered what else was in store for him tonight. π―ππΎππππΉπ½ππΆππ β Zack was out on the baseball field alone. A ball-throwing machine was placed a distance away from him, and would occasionally spit out a baseball for him to 'thwack' away with his bat.
His classes were done for the day, so why not spend some time practicing baseball before he left campus? Sure, it was a bit late, but Zack didn't care about that. He had a passion, and nothing would stop him! ...Except for the machine running out of balls to throw. When the baseballs stopped coming, he let the bat touch the ground as he pulled out his phone to check the time. Huh, maybe it was getting a little late. Spencer would have gotten takeout by now, and his portion was probably waiting for him. Mmm, takeout. He and his sister both agreed they wanted chinese tonight, and they don't forget promises regarding food.

( β½Boopβ½ ) .sarah. Walking into the bar that night was an experience, to say the least. With the drunken 20-something kids walking out with drunken smiles on their faces, voices hoarse after singing the songs softly playing over the radio. Shaking her head, she ran a hand through the hair on the sides of her head and sat down at one of the bar stools, fishing out a 20 from her denim jacket pocket. Picking at her painted fingernails, she ordered a drink and slid the 20 over to the bartender, not even bothering to look up at them. The bar was an older one, a vintage one, and it clearly showed. Looking up from her fingernails and to the pictures on the wall, she awkwardly found herself gazing at the sports playing on the lone TV. Sports never really interested her, but it was at least something to look at, other than staring at the bartender. ( a lil short sry )

Jesus. This was going to be a wild night. Adelaide had just gotten off work, at Bleakridge's local coffee shop. She always worked the closing shift, which in result always usually resulted in her never partying with her fraternal sister Brinley, or any of their friends.
Adelaide quickly locked up the shop and got into her car, turning the key in the ignition bringing the engine to life with a loud purr. She put her car in drive and drove to her house that she shared with Brinley. She drove into their house, parking in the driveway, and ran inside. She took a quick shower and rinsed off. She was trying her best to hurry up and make the halloween party everyone was at right down the street. She curled her soft silver hair in loose beach waves, and slipped into a lace body con dress, black stockings with matching black heels, and finally she then placed on her torn angle wings. She finished her makeup and slipped out of the house and walked down the side walk towards the house all of her friends were in, including Brinley.
The girls had decided to go as a costume pair together, an angel and a fallen angel. Of course Brin was the typically angel and Ade was the fallen angel. Adelaide walked into the house smiling as she was greeted by a group of her friends, she waved at them and said her hello and walked past them looking for Brinley. As she moved her way throughout the house she grabbed a water bottle from the refrigerator and opened it taking a few sips as she looked around for her sister. She continued to push through the crowds of people, accidentally bumping into Samael.
"Oh I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to bump into you" She quickly said, brushing herself off.
( I have to go get my boyfriend from campus, I'll be back in 10 )

( π―ππΎππππΉπ½ππΆππ β ) Samael was kind of zoning out when someone bumped into him. In his own little space... and then bam! Someone knocked into him, making him almost spill his water, which would've been an inconvenience. "No no, it's fine." He said to the person, his eyes trailing over to her. "I got no water on me, luckily." He laughed a little bit, taking a secret smell of the air around her. Sober... didn't reek of anything out of the ordinary... bingo. Her friend seemed the same as well. Today was his lucky day, wasn't it... Adjusting and straightening up his slightly worn formal wear, and downing the water left in the glass, he set the glass down on the counter he was leaning on. "An odd way to say hello, I guess..." He spoke, smiling at her.

I guess, I was just in a rush to find my sister.. " She said as as she scanned the people in the room for Brin. She pulled her phone out hoping to see at least maybe a text from her sister or better yet even a phone call but neither appeared. She let out a small sigh and then pulled down her dress slightly as it had ridden up when she had accidentally knocked into Samuel. " By the way I'm Adelaide, but you can call me Ade. You are?" She asked him, looking up at him once more waiting for his response, as she took another sip from her water bottle.

( π―ππΎππππΉπ½ππΆππ β ) Samael smiled at her, and promptly introduced himself. "Hey! My name is Samael." He politely waved at her in a greeting manner. He was trying really hard not to stare, because he found his stomach growling louder and louder, and he knew he was getting very hungry. It was a type of hunger not quenched by simple mortal cuisine. It was a whole different beast on it's one, one that he couldn't hold off for very long, so he began to think carefully about his coming decisions, either he had to run... or attack. He thought however, that it was a little soon to be attacking someone... he had to gain their trust first, lead then into a vulnerable spot, and then attack. So it seemed less suspicious. Throwing the glass into the sink after a moment, he turned around to Adelaide and held out his hand to shake. "My pleasure to meet you. And it's really no worries, no worries at all, for the situation may have been a lot worse. God forbid I had wine in that glass!" He let out a laugh. Samael spoke with a formal tone, with bigger words and less slang than say, a college kid would. He spoke like a Victorian, or at least, that's what he likes to think.

She chuckled softly, " Dear God no! That would have been a waste of wine." She said giggling to herself. Adelaide had a true passion for wine, she got it from her mother while Brinley on the other hand liked hard liqueurs and Ales. Adelaide hated ale, she could tolerate liquor though. I mean, who doesn't like a nice glass of scotch neat?Exactly. " Well, It was nice meeting you Samael, but I really should try and find my sister, I think she might be outside in the back yard with the people out there." She said as she scanned the room one more time hoping to see her sister pop up.
"If you'd like you're more than welcome to come, I'm sure I 'd be better company than just leaning on a counter sipping water all night." She said playfully as she flashed a white smile at him, walking into the sea of people and beckoning him with her hand. "Come on!" She said as she turned around and kept walking to the back of the house, out the back door and down into the yard into another sea of people.

She had decided to leave and assumed no one would be sober enough to realize, so she hadn't notified anyone of her leaving.
Brin walked all the way from the house to the university, which was only a few blocks away, but for a slightly drunk college student it had felt like she had walked a marathon by the time she reached the outskirts of the football field. She giggled to herself as she realized how far she had come, it was already pretty late. At least 9:00 pm, she sighed as she checked her phone debating on whether she should call Ade or not. She picked the latter and put her phone back into her pocket as she reached the baseball field. The lights were still on and she could hear the faint swoosh of a ball being thrown from the machines. She shielded her eyes slightly as she squinted them trying to see who was out here that late.

He said, as Adelaide disappeared into the crowds. He winced the instant he couldn't see her, his dinner... gone, or though it seemed, but it wasn't like he could follow her scent, because, well, it was drowned out by a sea of disgusting smells.

β½Boopβ½"Nice to meet you too!" "Nice to meet you too..." Both Riley and Finn spoke at the same time, though one seemed a bit less enthusiastic than the other.
Finn noticed how Christopher seemed to be holding his nose. His skin prickled again, and he became self-conscious. Did it smell bad in here or something? He turned his head slightly and pulled the cloth of his jacket up to his nose, sniffing quietly. Well, it wasn't him that smelled bad.
Wait a minute. It didn't smell bad here. So why was Chris...?
"Well, I hope you guys are having fun," Riley said, patting Finn's shoulder dismissively as she leaned away from him. "I'm gonna go check on the other guests. If you're feeling alone, don't be afraid to come talk to me, okay?" Finn felt a little relieved at that. Riley was such a good host. The woman smiled, and leaned in close to Finn. "He's cute, isn't he?," she whispered in his ear. "Let me know how things go between you two later." At that, Finn could only blush. Riley noticed, and gave an amused chuckle before waving goodbye to Christopher and disappearing into another room.
Now Finn and Chris were alone in the kitchen. And Finn didn't know what to do. "I, um,..." he stammered nervously. "Oh yeah! I came here for snacks." He turned back to the bowl of pretzels, grabbing a paper bag from a nearby stack and shoving pretzels inside. He didn't look in Christopher's direction as he did this, but he remained very much aware of the other man's presence.

Julian didn't even raise an eyebrow at the unique character that entered the bar next. He came across all types of people here; this woman wasn't the only interesting person he'd seen this week, and she wouldn't be the last. He wordlessly accepted the 20, and walked away to make the drink. Soon he returned, and slid the drink across the counter to the customer. "Your drink, darling." he said absentmindedly, a reflex. He said things like that to everyone, sometimes he didn't even notice. Perhaps it was a bit unprofessional but, eh.

α΄α΄ΚΚα΄α΄α΄α΄Ιͺα΄Christopher nodded at Riley before she left, keeping the cover over his nose. After she walked away and Finn turned to the pretzels, he carefully lowered his arm. With just Finn in his vicinity, and the dog smell that wafted from him, Christopher was a bit more comfortable. But even still, he knew he took a big risk in coming here with his thirst so strong, and it was clear he needed to leave before he ran into an even stronger smelling mortal.
So he took his phone out of his pocket and pretended to check it, looking at the screen for a few moments to come up with his 'escape plan' and act as though he were reading a message or something. Though it looked like no one was paying attention to him anyway. "Ah." he began, loud enough for Finn to hear. "It seems I need to go...take care of something. It was nice meeting you, Finn. Enjoy the party."
And with that he walked away, not even sticking around to wait for Finn's response. He tried to leave as casually as possible, using all of his willpower not to break into a run. Hands back in his jacket pockets, he maneuvered around dancing bodies and soon found himself outside in the cold October air. In the next moment he was in his car, holding his keys and almost placing them in the ignition. But before he could turn on the car he stopped, eyeing the glove-box to his right.
He was pretty sure there was no one else outside. And he wasn't sure how much longer he could wait. Thirst was closing in around his throat, threatening to suffocate him. But it was risky.
Screw it.
He popped it open and grasped the bright red pouch, and held it up to the over-head light. It was from the hospital, courtesy of Brooke. His friend and coven-mate's job would be in serious trouble if he was caught with this. Better make it quick. He sank his fangs into the package, using the punctured holes to suck in the delicious liquid inside.

π―ππΎππππΉπ½ππΆππ β As the woman walked closer to him, Zack soon realized he had a situation on his hands, one he was not expecting. It was clear she had been drinking, and the angel wings suggested she had come from some sort of costume party. "Oh, boy." he muttered under his breath, a quiet prayer to whatever may have been watching. The moon perhaps?
He abandoned his bat on the ground and carefully walked forward to meet her. "Er, thanks I guess, but I'm not god or an angel. I'm just Zack." He let out a small chuckle as he said it. It was obvious his practice was over; he would have to do something about this girl. There was no way he could leave her alone in good conscience, especially with how tipsy she was. "You probably shouldn't be out here so late...do you need me to walk you home? Or do you have a friend nearby?" He tried his best, but he just didn't have any protocol for these types of situations. At least I'm not Spencer, he privately thought. She would just tell her to screw off.

π―ππΎππππΉπ½ππΆππ β As the woman walked closer to him, Zack soon realized he had a situation on his hands, one he was not expecting.
At least I'm not Spener, he privately thought. She would just tell her to screw off. βOh Iβm sorry, I didnβt mean to ruin your night..β she said in a sort of sad tone, as if what he had said had hurt her feelings. β I just, I left the party I was at, Iβm sure I could get home..β She said insisting slowly beginning to step away from Zack, but ultimately failing. She pulled off her angel wings and looked around, a hand still over her eyes shielding her from the bright light. β Just point me in the direction I came from and Iβll be on my way.. β she continued, her voice becoming lighter than what it had been, making her exhaustion obvious. She sighed lightly as she leaned against the fence, she took a deep breathe, and looked around trying to get a bearing on her surroundings. βIβm fine reallyβ she said with a forced laugh as she realized she was still there near him.
