This I am clueles about. "the ship FireBlue, and DustSand is a thing "
Is it that Fireheart and Bluestar get together and Dustpelt and Sandstorm? That whole thing sounds crazy and way out of what canon characters might do in many cases.

mintedstar/fur🦇 - agreed. Aside from the strange ship, the story itself is rather crudely put together. When I asked the author admitted that they picked up the wrong book when trying put together the allegiances, though. phantomstar57 - yes it means that - and yes, it is absolutely weird.

Do you ever think about music that fits a story/your story?

Do you ever think about music that fits a story/your story? oh all the time XD For instance, I like to think that Blackout (In the Heights OST) fits a scene in atramentous

Is there ever a particular reason you pick a song? Lyrics? The voice of a singer? The atmosphere of a song? All of the above?
I usually do it by lyrics, but I've also run into the experience where I see the lyrics far differently than anyone else.
A love song that I did not hear as a love song at all ... for example.

I usually take context of lyrics, or in case of musicals, the situation the characters are in to make the song fit. (I rarely think about the singers’ voices, which is why sometimes I find myself thinking Valleyfrost is Elphaba in ‘Popular’ XD)

Haaaa ha. That's great. XD
Context in musicals I can relate to. Been there, done that.
I do atmosphere too, for instrumental.
I have a bad habit of scripting stories of some sort to songs.

Indeed! This started a year ago on the 3rd. Thanks everyone for taking us this far! In that respect: Discussion question. What trope do you find you write the most in? I noticed I do 'Found Family' a lot.

I noticed I do 'Found Family' a lot. I tend to do "family saga" type things, and that is probably the best way to describe NEW BLOOD and my alien scifi. And probably most of what I write. . .

Those are really fun in my opinion. I like family stories.

I think I have always written that way even as a kid, tho my picture books with trees and flowers as characters were more best friends than family LOL. Later however, everything else was family oriented with all sorts of themes from sepaartion, going thru troubles, getting thru disaster together and every one of them the main characters were and still are nonhumn. I still have to put up Kakeodemon's story!

Oooo! I just started reading it and so far it's really good.
Ye. Well, I like found family and I like morally grey characters as well. Or at least I like giving my villains a logical background for why they're villains.
Apparently I also always have a personification of death or a faked death in my story. X')

Well, NaNo is over. Time to boot this up again. Hey y'all! What's your thoughts? I was mildly thinking of being tempted to add some prompts to this. But that would change the theme of what this is about. So I was thinking of creating a small contest on the side. Either way, I thought bringing this back would be good.

Mint! I was legit going to approach you about this place. What if we did a Quarantine theme? Help spread awareness on staying safe during this COVID-19 madness?

Ah yes! I support that suggestion. What are some of your ideas? I know what NaNo is doing; should we do something sort of like that?

Yes! At first I thought of keeping our weekly potluck going, but maybe we could ramp it up, given so many of us are stuck at home and in need of a fun distraction?
I think we should have a Stay at Home Potluck Smorgasbord, where each person who signs up puts forth a prompt. Just one word. Or one sentence? And instead of the person who is drawn getting a whole week to themselves, let the person's prompt be chosen as the prompt for everyone. So this way everyone participates at once, but the prompts are randomized and represented by the person who chose them.
The person who wins each draw will still get their links to their projects/stories/ect. shown on the front page, and I can make them a banner based off of their prompt or on one of their projects? idk just throwing ideas out here.

We all have one week to explore the prompt and produce one complete short story/one-shot. It shows us the power of working together and creating amazing creative stories using each others ideas!

That is a very tasty sounding suggestion XD 👍
Unfortunately, for me, it's like not staying home while being at home because my teachers are stepping up the work to keep us busy. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I'll see where I can participate, though!

I could go for Shadow's idea! If there was an upper word limit for the weekly stories (1000 words, maybe), would that make it easier for more people to participate?

Yes! Let's use that title mintedstar/fur🦇 Maplestone360 - I had that in mind! There will be no max amount of words you have to reach. (This is my proposal let's see what Mint thinks) And we could possibly also allow poems on top of one-shots. This way you don't feel pressured to write, but you are just encouraged to express your thoughts on the prompt! ~Sapphire~ - I'm hoping just not setting a required word count will be the best!

I agree! No max word count, just write what you feel like (note to the fact that I once submitted a 6 word short story to one of Tuesday's prompt contest once Hint, hint) And allowing poems is fine by me! I will update with Shadow's beautiful plan tomorrow. Today's (yesterday's?) been wild, y'all!
