~Introduction~
You tread on carefully through the dense undergrowth, uncertainty infecting your mind all along the way. You've been walking for so long you've forgotten where you were originally heading towards, and your paws ache. Suddenly, you stop dead in your tracks as you hear a twig snap in the distance, your ears perking up. You wait for a moment, and right when you think it's safe to continue moving, a large figure pounces out at you, knocking you over.
You flinch, closing your eyes as you're knocked over. You hesitantly open one to see a huge, snarling dog standing above you, rage glinting in its eyes. It leans its head down towards you, and practically spits in your face. "WHAT do you think you're doing here?!" they yell. You're too afraid to respond. "SPEAK TO ME!" they yell again, striking more fear through you. You're too scared to move, practically paralyzed by fear at this point. They raise their head away from yours, their face adjusting itself into a calmer formation, yet you can still see anger, and newly, frustration, in their eyes. "Fine then," they speak. "If you won't answer, I'll just have to get rid of you." They raise their head up, and right as they're about to strike towards your neck, a different voice calls out.
"LANCE!"
The dog's head practically snaps around to look at the newcomer. Yours looks over as well, curious to see who else is here. Another dog steps into the clearing, her gaze calm, but cold and serious. "What," the dog pinning you down asks in an obvious disrespectful tone.
"You know what, piece of sh*t," the she-dog speaks. You're taken aback by the swear word, but continue listening in. "How many times do I have to tell you. When you find another dog on our territory, you take them to me."
"But-" the dog pinning you down, Lance, supposedly, tries to interrupt. But he himself is quickly interrupted back.
"You shut your damn mouth before I do it for you, Lance," the she-dog growls, her temper slowly being lost. "Now, let the dog up, or I will out you to the others."
Lance scoffed, but he obediently let you stand up. As you did, the she-dog turned to look at you both.
"Now," she spoke. "Come with me." She then turned around, and began to lead the way deeper into the forest. Lance aggressively nudged you with his shoulder, before following after her. You contemplated whether to try to escape for a short while. However, you decided to follow, since you didn't know how fast these dogs could run. Also, you were pretty sure they'd both rip you to shreds if you tried to escape.

~The Territory~
Basic Appearance of the "Camp" - The camp itself resides in a clearing deep inside a forest, hidden well by the shadows and abundant amount of undergrowth growing all around. The entrance is a tunnel by a rotting log, hidden by a thick tangle of brambles that can be easily lifted aside. Just made sure to be careful while doing so. The tunnel has quite a bit of roots entering in from the roof of it, and they tend to tickle your back every time you walk through the tunnel. Also, be careful not to step on any worms. The clearing is sheltered by a thick barrier of trees and brambles, and not much light is let in due to the canopy of branches and leaves that hang above it.
Alpha + Beta's Den + Alpha's Rock - The pack's Alpha and Beta reside in a den that was supposedly dug by the pack's founders themselves. The floor is covered with a thin layer of soft moss that needs to be replaced only once every seven days. However, it's often a tedious job due to how much moss is needed. Some vegetation has began to grow on the den's walls, and if you look hard enough, there seems to be a collection of what seems to be bones in the back of the den, the bones supposedly being trophies. The entire den is dug under a large rock in the center of the camp clearing, which the Alpha and sometimes the Beta, makes announcements from.
Hunter's Den - The hunter's den is a den made out of thicket and tough branches, and is sheltered by a fallen tree. The den resides close to the clearing's exit tunnel. The dogs who sleep inside this den are very well protected from the cold, wind, rain, and other weather. It's very comfortable and spacious.
Patrol Dog's Den - The patrol dog's den is a den made out of less tough materials, brambles and stinging nettle leaves, and it is not sheltered by any natural being, such as a tree. The den is still sheltered from rain and such, but it is not as sheltered as the hunter's den. Also, it is rumored that this den is haunted, as the dogs who built it supposedly died after making it due to making contact with the nettle leaves, and their spirits are still floating around nearby. It is unknown whether this rumor is true, but some are afraid of it. Also, it is recommended not to touch the nettle leaves at the den's edges.
Omega's Area - The omega does not have a den of their own. In fact, they don't even sleep inside the camp. The omega sleeps in a hollow tree right outside the camp, the tree's top being completley torn off. The omega inside is very poorly protected from rain and such, and predators could sneak in any second and kill the dog in their sleep. If the omega doesn't die of natural causes, they often die from predators or sickness first.
The Territory Itself - The territory is a dark forest that continuously gets lighter the further away from camp you go. The territory ends where the forest ends, however, nobody has ever journeyed that far, as the forest is rather huge. Anyone who has tried has never been heard from again. Rivers and other vegetation such as flowers and berry bushes are scattered here and there. There are no distinct landmarks. The animals that live inside the forest consist of bugs, turtles, fish, birds, deer, raccoons, opossums, porcupines, and foxes. It is rumored by some that there are wolves in the forest, but they've never been sighted before. Some say the wolves live on the forest's edge, preventing anyone from leaving. Others say they simply don't exist. It is unknown which rumor is true.

~Pack Description~
The pack does not have an official name yet, but it's name is still open to discussion. The pack itself consists of mostly large and medium dogs, and small dogs are very rare. Whenever they do exist in the pack, they're always omegas. The pack functions like any other pack would, however, the pack itself is unique, just like any other would be.
The pack members are usually very hostile to one another, and don't normally form strong connections with each other. The pack's main motto is "do your job, and nothing happens. slack off, and something's gonna happen to you." The Alphas and Betas are usually very strict, and don't mess around. The pack heavily dislikes outsiders, but will occasionally take them in if they prove themselves. Whenever an outsider is found, they are always to be brought to the Alpha for questioning. Those who break pack rules are harshly punished, and are rarely given chances to redeem themselves.
~Special Events~
-Pack Tournament-
Once a full moon, the pack holds a fighting tournament. Every dog in the pack fights each other to see who's the strongest, and the winner of the tournament gets special benefits until the next moon. Also, if a lower ranking dog beats a higher ranking dog, they get to rank up, but if beaten later on by a lower ranking dog before the tournament ends, they move back down. The Alpha and Beta do not participate in the tournament. Neither do pups or their mothers.
The tournament works like so:
The tournament itself lasts for four days, as that is the amount of time the full moon seems to last.
Two dogs from each rank are chosen by the Alpha and Beta to battle against each other at the tournament's start. One dog from the two chosen will emerge victorious when they defeat, or if necessary, kill, their opponent. The victorious dog will then fight another dog from their rank, until there are no other dogs in their rank to fight. If the dog victorious at the start, or any other dog participating, loses, they will be excluded from the rest of the tournament. If there are no other dog's in a dog's certain rank to fight, they will move up to fight dogs from the rank one spot higher than theirs. This tournament continues until only two dogs are left. The pack will then take a one-night break before the final battle, and at the crack of dawn the next morning, the two final dogs will battle each other. The victorious dog will be dubbed the championship of the tournament, and will be put right below the Alpha and Beta in the pack's ranking system.
In total, the tournament is a chance to move up the ranks, and a risk to move down. Dogs may bail themselves out of participation, at the expense of their reputation.
-Challenges of the Rank-
It is a well-known fact that the higher rank you are, the better you are treated in the pack. However, there was never really a way to move up the ranks without the Alpha specifically moving you up themself. So, the dogs of the pack came up with an idea: challenges.
According to the rules, dogs may only challenge other dogs a half moon after their last challenge, and after a half moon of living with their current rank. Also, if you wish to challenge another dog, you must speak to the Alpha about it first. In tourmanents, two dogs fight, normally one being a lower rank, and another being a higher rank. The two dogs fight with no time limit until one is victorious. If the higher ranking dog beats the lower ranking dog, the lower ranking dog stays at the rank they were at. If the lower ranking dog wins, they move to the rank of the dog they challenged, and the dog they challenged moves down to their rank.
However, it doesn't always have to be a lower ranking dog and a higher ranking dog fighting. Sometimes, a dog challenges another dog to earn reputation among the pack, because they hate that dog, to take out their anger on someone, or for other reasons.
