"I've had worse. I fell into a hole when I was an apprentice and got a rock to the head. Probably still have a sar from it." He smiled before leaning down and grabbing one wing of the bird. "Yu gwab te oter wing." His voice was muffled and put off by the feathers."

Together the two began half dragging, half carrying the hawk to the makeshift camp. When they reached it the two put it by where Sapphirefeather had put her other prey before. "Everyone! Eat up. We'll be leaving after all the prey is gone!"

"We've been resting since sunset yesterday." He shook his head at the fish and instead grabbed a mouse that Sapphirefeather had caught earlier. "I don't like fish."
Blizzardpaw grabbed a mouse as well while Coontail and Jadeclaw tore into the hawk along with Spottedlegs. Spottedpath grabbed the last mouse and went to sit by herself, quiet as normal. Clearrain went over to Lilypaw and smiled at the she-cat. "Wanna share something?"

Flamepelt sat down near the edge, his amber eyes gleaming, his dark-patched tail swishing. he wasn't sure if he should get something, but when everyone else went in, he decided against it.

Spottedlegs noticed Flamepelt by himself and he tore off a large strip of the hawk before padding over the tom. "Here. You need energy as much as any of us do."

Flamepelt nodded gratefully. "Thanks, Spottedlegs." he murmured before crouching to eat.

Honeyleaf entered the clearing with a field mouse in his jaws, having hoped for a rabbit, but it was better than being empty-pawed. Slipping back into the group, unknowing of having to stay in the clearing with the others he dropped his catch onto the pile and took a small bird for himself. "What'd I mi-" He started, but then smelled a bit of cat blood. Immediately he halted up and called, thankful for his sensitive nose. "Alright, who got hurt?"
Lilypaw was sniffing around the little prey pile for something of her own, but her eye caught sight of Clearrain approaching. "Sure Clearrain, I'd love to. Just gimme a second.." Lilypaw purred at her, before snatching a trout from the pile and seated herself beside the pretty she-cat. She made a face as she bit into its scales, its taste and smell not that bad actually, it had a rich flavor to it, but still very foreign to her taste buds. "You know I always how Riverclan cats live off fish. Is that how your pelts got so shiny?" She asked curiously.

Clearrain looked at her pelt before shrugging and settling down by the other. "I'm not sure actually." She took a bite of the fish.
Clearfang heard Honeyleaf's words and he lifted his tail to get his attention. "That would be me. The hawk over there got me."

Lilypaw blinked, before taking another bite as well. She preferred a fat vole usually, but perhaps she could add fish to her palette, she could get used to the taste. "Well, whatever it is, I want my pelt to be as shiny as yours. It's really pretty."
Honeyleaf bristled, before padding up to look at the cuts on Clearfang's body. "Those are shallow from the looks or it, they'll heal. But this," He nosed the bigger scar above Clearfang's right eye. "I'll need to see to that. Come to my den when you're done eating, I rather it not get infected so close to the eye." Honeyleaf for a second sniffed at the wound a bit more, then picked up his bird to pad back to his temporary den.

Clearrain felt her ears heat up at the compliment and she licked her chest fur in embarrassment. "W-Well... your fur is very pretty as well." The she-cat then came up with an idea and smiled. "Lilypaw, what if during the journey helped you continue your training?"
Clearfang huffed and quickly finished the mouse before standing and padding to where the other tom had gone. "Honeyleaf?" He called into the temporary den.

Flamepelt looked around for his brother, saving half of the strip of hawk meat to share with his bro. His tail flicked a little. Where is he?!

Lilypaw was mid-chew in her bite of fish, but then her ears pricked, eyes brightening. Continue her training on the journey? She hadn't had a mentor since they went on the move. Swallowing fast, she flicked her tail in excitement. "I'd love that. I've been wanting to get back to training at some point and it's weird not going on routine.. you could be my mentor! And maybe I can finally be a Warrior." The thought made her trill.
"Come in Clearfang. I'm already getting the marigold ready." Honeyleaf called back, his small herb stocks gathered around him; some Marigold and cobwebs on each side, the bird he ate seen buried some distance away. He leaned down and spat a pulp onto a broad leaf next to him, while doing that he waved his tail, pointing to a nest nearby, he'd usually sleep in it but it was the only one he had for patients too. "Sit right there and I'll get to you in a bit."

"No thank you." Clearfang just sat down a tail-length from Honeyleaf instead and waited.
Clearrain smiled and perked up. "How about we finish eating and then I give you some battle training? Actually, how far in your training are you? Were they getting ready to teach you anything or give you your assessments?"

Meanwhile Reedwillow poked his head out of the makeshift den, eyes bleary. "Wha? What's going on, I was having a nice dream about a mouse.." He mewled sleepily, but then his nose picked up the smell of prey, and he woke up a bit more. The skittish tom padded slowly to his brother Flamepelt, bumping his head with the ginger's. "Hi brother. Saved some for me?" He mewled, then sniffed at the strip of hawk. Brushing his tail thankfully along Flamepelt's spine, he took the strip, scarfing it in a few good bites.
Suddenly Hollyfall raced her way up to the prey pile. "Oh boy, finally! I'm starving for a bite. I thought I had to wait all day to have something." She snatched a mouse and scampered off to join the others. Thankfully not running of to who knows where this time.
Lilypaw watched Hollyfall and rolled her eyes. "Don't go getting into trouble." She muttered, then turned back to Clearrain. She thought for a moment. "Umm... well I was told I'm good at climbing trees, and hunting. I have a bit of a hard time with the fight stuff though. Do you think we could do some battle training? I want to be extra sure I'm ready."
Honeyleaf twitched his whiskers in amusement. "You're the boss Clearfang. Now hold still okay, this'll sting a little bit." He rasped his tongue along the scar above Clearfang's eye to clean it up, then, lapping up the pulp, he leaned forward and pressed his tongue firm on the wound, the juices seeping in.

Clearfang jumped slightly before forcing himself to relax. The closeness of Honeyleaf and him made his ears heat up for some reason.
Clearrain thought for a bit before nodding. "I'll do your battle training. Show me your hunting first and if I think you're ready then at our next stop Clearfang and me can do your hunting assessment. We need more warriors currently anyways."

Honeyleaf purred, his amusement rising, before pressing his tongue firmer, but not too hard. Once that was done he took the cobweb and placed it on the scar with delicate paws. "There we go. It's not too terrible so we should expect it to be better in a few days. I'll check its condition later." Despite sounding professional, Honeyleaf couldn't deny his ears growing pink as well, but he was very good at hiding it. "Promise me you'll try not to get into more trouble with birds of prey until then, okay?" With a playful flick of his tail on Clearfang's ear he turned back to his herbs, showing he was dismissed for now.
Lilypaw nodded. "I'll do my best. Being a Warrior is everything I want right now." Her voice was back to its normal quietness, and she seemed more focused now. Scanning the area, she then spotted a patch of thicker shrub she could hunt in. Looking back to Clearrain, she meowed. "Can I try over there? I do better in bushes and trees."
Hollyfall had just finished her mouse, and was washing her side. "When are we gonna go again? I want to get to our new territory soon." Reedwillow glanced at the black-and-white she-cat, paws tucked under him as he rested beside Flamepelt to give his brother's fur a quick grooming. "We'll get there when we get there, just be be patient Hollyfall." He mewled between licks. "It's not like new territory will just pop up for us, as much as I'd like that, we'd have to make a few more stops before that."

Flamepelt nodded his agreement. "Patience yields focus Hollyfall. Relax. We'll get there soon enough." His amber eyes gleamed as he looked at the she-cat before turning his attention back to his brother. He groomed at a matted patch on his brother's shoulder.

Clearrain nodded. "Go ahead. I'll be watching."
Clearfang just pouted before standing and leaving the den. "Everyone! We'll be leaving at half to sun-high!" (about an hour from the present moment)

Lilypaw brightened up before pelting into the bushes. She remembered Clearfang's announcement, half to sun-high. She should be able to catch a mouse or vole by then, and she'd get a chance to impress Clearrain by showing what she can do. Right as she thought that, the scent of a mouse drifted towards her. Thankful the breeze was blowing her way instead of behind, she poked her head out to spot it nibbling at a seed. Narrowing her eyes, she took a deep breath, and got into a hunters crouch, pulling her paws under her and settling her weight on her hind legs like she remembered her previous mentor taught her. She crept forward, eyes on the little furry morsel, then pounced with claws unsheathed. Unfortunately Lilypaw tripped over her paws and skidded at the last second with a squeal. The mouse skittered away, leaving her hissing in frustration and licking her chest fur in embarrassment. The one time I hoped to not have slippery paws... “Oh foxdung.. er, that might happen sometimes... but I can be good other times. Um, maybe I can get something on the way.”
Hollyfall as soon as she heard the announcement scraped earth on what was left of her mouse, and stretched her legs until they trembled. “Finally we'll be leaving soon. What do you think our new home will look like?” Reedwillow turned his gaze elsewhere in thought, eyes half-closed. “Er.. Well... I don't know, but if I'm settling anywhere it'd have to have water somewhere nearby. Or else you'll have to deal with my clumsy paws on land. I still have my Riverclan roots ya know.”
